Comedy Part 475: Put Me In, Coach

Location:  Schildknecht's Centerfield Tavern
Emcee:  Mike McGuire
After:  Darin Duffin
Before:  Cathy Babis

Felt like watching the show, but Mike had a spot open so I got talked into performing for the first time in about two months.  Had a good time, at any rate.  Still haven't written anything new in a long time, so who knows if/when I'll do it again.  It's a matter of motivating myself to get out to shows...the Funny Bone just seems like a waste of time these days, sorry to say.

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Jim Ross & Tom Phillips.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

Tag Team Champions Hell No are in the house.  Daniel Bryan has sold T-shirts, won titles, and grown an "immaculate beard"...he just requests that people not say "YES" or "goat face".  Of course, this leads to his usual "discussion" with Kane.

Trent Barreta vs. Leo Kruger:  It was heavily implied that Kruger attacked Barreta backstage last week...Trent's got bandaged ribs tonight.  Barreta goes right after Leo like someone looking for payback, but an early Whisper In The Wind attempt goes awry as Kruger yanks him down onto the turnbuckle ribs-first.  Bandages are a target in the wrestling ring and Kruger wastes no time in attacking the midsection.  Leo makes the mistake of going to the second rope and gets dropkicked in mid-air...the achy-breaky ribs are a problem but Trent still tries to mount an offensive.  Kruger cuts him off with a drop to the mat, then finishes with Kruger's End.

Xavier Woods vs. Memo Montenegro(w/o entrance):  Phillips speculates that Montenegro had a privileged upbringing similar to Alberto Del Rio, wink wink.  The match ends surprisingly quickly with Xavier getting the duke after a forward roll into a flying clothesline...time for some post-match dancing, including the dreaded reverse Worm.

Audrey Marie vs. Emma Tayla:  The Australian Emma is making her NXT debut...she worked a few SHIMMER shows as Tenille, if I remember right.  Audrey is a bit heelish in this one...and the match ends up being halfway decent, go figure.  Audrey gets the win with the Last Roundup(swinging uranagi).

Backstage, Tony Dawson is set to interview Roman Reigns but he reads a "press release" from him instead.  I'm sure someone thought "Reigns Check" was hilarious.

Michael Cole returns to his most favoritest show to conduct a face-to-face interview with NXT Champion Seth Rollins and top contender Jinder Mahal.  Cole uses Kerwin White's old theme...really?  Yes, this WAS taped prior to Rollins' WWE debut as part of The Shield...not to mention Mahal's alignment with the 3-Man Band.  The title match will take place in two weeks, for the record.  It doesn't take long for Mahal to hijack the interview...sorry, that's racially insensitive.  Mahal vows to "humble" Rollins...appropriate for someone using the camel clutch.  Seth gets all fired up in response...and it looks like they don't want to wait for the title match.  Cole tries to restore order but Jinder takes a cheapshot, then locks on the camel clutch.  Finally referees arrive to settle things down, but the damage has been done.

Hell No(Kane & Daniel Bryan) vs. Michael McGillicutty & Johnny "Not Yet Fandango" Curtis for the Tag Team Titles:  J.R. notes that Curtis earned a Tag Title shot by winning NXT4 and this is his official "cash-in"(despite not teaming with then-mentor "R-Truth" Ron Killings)...CONTINUITY~!  Curtis seems to be practicing his dance moves to go along with his new theme music.  The fans want the champs to Hug It Out(tm) but they decline.  Both sides show good teamwork...MM and Curtis have teamed up a few times in the past, of course.  Bryan takes some abuse but Kane appropriately does the house-afire bit after getting the, ahem, hot tag.  Bryan tags himself back into the match and nearly gets his signals crossed with Kane, but they get it together long enough for Kane to chokeslam Curtis.  Meanwhile, Bryan takes MM down in the No Lock for the tapout win...will they hug it out now?  Sure, why not, it's the holiday season...

-WWE Champion C.M. Punk(w/ Paul Heyman) d. Tag Team Champions Kane(non-title) after a brief distraction by The Shield(Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns) led to the Go 2 Sleep.  The Shield members beat down Kane and then Daniel Bryan when he tried to help, but Ryback was a bit more effective against the newcomers.  Punk got involved again, allowing The Shield trio to regain the edge and drop Ryback with the triple-team spike powerbomb.

SICW Special Comment

Went to SICW's Fairmont City show a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well they drew...this time around was no exception. Had always been under the impression that Thanksgiving weekend was a tough time to run a show.

Seems like Max Archer can't buy a win on the Illinois side...odd contrast to his status as MMWA Junior Heavyweight Champion. That may have been the first time in modern recorded history that Moondog Rover's trademark bone was NOT involved in his match finish.

Dirden wins! Dirden wins! Dirden wins! The guy made his debut for 3XW in Iowa the previous night and was back in town for this show, so he had a full weekend.

In preparation for the GCW reunion at Dynamo next week, the Old School Warriors reunited for this show to take on The Big Texan and Waco...the dinner menu called for chops. :-D Random DQ finish with Waco blatantly using a chain, but Chaz and Keith cleared the ring afterwards.

Had previously seen Brandon Gallagher as a referee for local promotions, but this was my first time seeing him "officially" in the ring. He's working an aerial style which is almost a necessity if you're below a certain size...it's tricky to do and he's still working on it. Rudolph's half-nelson suplex just looks like it sucks to take(in a good way, if that makes sense).

Kasa had beaten Gary in their previous encounter so I was expecting Gary to even the score here...the double DQ was a bit of a surprise in that regard. Good matchups for the most part on this evening...

I'm fairly sure the local rings are jinxed at this point...it wasn't even the same ring as with previous incidents, but the top rope snapped loose when Ron Powers dumped Chris Hargas on it out of a slingshot suplex setup. Luckily, they were able to kill time with the 50/50 raffle drawing while the ring was being fixed. Oddly enough, the countout finish worked out well as it pushed Powers as a killer while Hargas didn't just lose outright.

Fine main event between Cruz and Vaughn...they had a couple of false finishes as Vaughn kicked out after Cruz's superkick and Cruz kicked out after Vaughn's spear. They're already building up the Cruz-Powers rematch as Powers jumped Cruz during an earlier interview and then again after this matchup...seems odd for the next East Carondelet show to have a tag match on top, but I guess they're saving the title match for January. The December show already has several attractions(battle royal, elimination tag, Bruiser Brody's widow in attendance).

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know what's happening next weekend: Dynamo's GCW reunion. I like MECW and it's unfortunate that they're running on the same night...hope they have a good show. On top of that, WLW has a training camp this coming week capped off by a show in Eldon with S. William Regal facing Ace Steel...so it'll be a busy weekend.

The Dynamo show has quite a few items of interest...several wrestlers will be returning to the ring for the night including Kory Twist and Jack Adonis. The Old School Warriors are confirmed for the show and they'll be doing a battle royal with a lot of the guys. Delirious and MsChif are both working the show and I heard that Daizee Haze(who's been out of wrestling for a little while) will be there as well. Cool stuff for someone who got his indy wrestling start with Gateway.

As for the rest of December, there's St. Louis Anarchy and the final MMWA and SICW shows of the year...good times.

Anarchy Wrestling TV #356

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & Bret Wolverton

Anthony Henry, Joey Rhymer, The Vandal, & Najasism vs. Andrew Pendleton III, Brandon Parker, Tommy Penirelli, & C.B. Suave:  Whole lot of action in this one...finishers fly and the good guys stand tall long enough to hit stereo planchas, leaving Henry and Parker in the ring.  A reversal sequence from those two ends in Henry's Texas Cloverleaf for the tapout.

B(r)o Newsom(w/ Miss Rachel & Senior Official Brent Wiley) vs. Billy Buck for the T.V. Title:  Buck's had a few previous title shots that ended in controversy.  Wiley takes it upon himself to personally keep time as the championship is contested with a ten-minute time limit.  Newsom slows the pace as a heel T.V. Champ tends to do...he also keeps checking with Wiley for the time, giving Buck the opportunity for a few flash pin attempts.  Billy goes on offense and Bo tries to roll out of the ring to buy time, but Buck gets him back in there.  Newsom tries a rollup with a handful of tights...for two.  Buck hits a German suplex...for two.  Buck Wild superkick is teased but Newsom rolls out again and stalls out the clock for the time-limit draw.  Buck wants five more minutes...and promoter Franklin Dove decides to grant his wish!  Newsom protests but Buck throws him back in the ring...Bo takes a swing with the belt but misses, SUPERKICK hits and we have a newwwww Television Champion!

Seth Delay vs. Bobby Moore(joined in progress):  If Moore wins, Delay has to kiss his foot...if Delay wins, Moore must wear a Barney costume.  We skip to Seth's endgame rally as he gets several near-falls in a row, but then he runs into a turnbuckle Flatliner.  Sick Kick...gets two.  Moore gets out the loaded elbowpad but Delay ducks the forearm smash and rolls him up...for two.  Kool Krusher...gets two.  Moore swats him off the top rope and hits the forearm smash, but he takes off his boot instead of going for the pin.  That takes up a lot of time...and Delay stomps on the exposed foot, then tornado-sunset-flips him for the win!

Despite Moore's protests, he does finally don the Barney costume...and the TV show's theme music starts to add to the humiliation.  Moore throws a tantrum...then Delay adds insult to injury with a taste of the brass knuckles.  Hit Seth's music, it's time for some hip-swiveling.

Adrian Hawkins(w/ Tommy Penirelli & C.B. Suave) vs. Stryknyn(w/ Dan Wilson), submission match for the Young Lions' Title:  Todd Sexton is YOUR special guest referee and he's had some past issues with Hawkins, but he appears to be calling it down the middle.  Stryknyn removes his belt and Sexton orders him to throw it away, so he does...right to The Rev who chokes Hawkins with it.  Hawkins discretely removes a turnbuckle pad, then lures Stryknyn into a blind charge to that corner.  Hawkins sends him on a second trip to the exposed metal for good measure...that'll put him in control, yes.  Adrian works on the back to set up a potential Sharpshooter...PSYCHOLOGY~!

Stryknyn makes El Big Comeback...and gets Hawkins in his own Sharpshooter!  Hawkins counters into an attempt at his own hold but Stryknyn's in the ropes.  Stryknyn goes for the Tourniquet(Anaconda Vise) but Hawkins fights out of THAT.  He lines up for the spear but Hawkins leapfrogs, then takes him down into the Sharpshooter from there!  Stryknyn nearly taps but reaches the ropes...leading to a confrontation between Hawkins and Sexton.  Hawkins turns around just in time to get hit with the spear...Stryknyn gets the Tourniquet again but Penirellia distracts Sexton while Suave pulls Hawkins to the ropes!  Sexton finally bashes Penirelli off the apron but does order the hold to be broken upon seeing Hawkins in the ropes.  This time Stryknyn argues with the ref and it costs him as Hawkins clips the knee.  Sharpshooter is attempted again...but Stryknyn nicely maneuvers out of the setup straight into the Tourniquet!  Hawkins has nowhere to go but Tapout City...and we have a newwwww Young Lions' Champion!

Weekend wrestling

ROH TV

-Commentator:  Kevin Kelly.
-Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander d. Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas; Haas picked a fight with Rhett Titus & B.J. Whitmer at the broadcast table, resulting in a pull-apart fight.  Benjamin hit a belly-to-belly superplex on Coleman, but Alexander was legal and frog-splashed Shelton for the three-count.
-Bobby Fish d. Ryan McBride after a big roundhouse kick to the head.
-Davey Richards and Kyle O'Reilly had a verbal confrontation that seemed to end peacefully, but Kyle turned on Davey.  Davey reversed things and got Kyle in the anklelock, leading to referees arriving to restore order.  Fish(recent tag partner of Eddie Edwards) entered the ring...only to roundhouse-kick Richards as O'Reilly rolled out of the hold.
-SCUM(Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino) d. Rhett Titus & B.J. Whitmer to retain the Tag Team Titles; Benjamin & Haas attacked Whitmer at ringside, leading Titus to be double-teamed by the champs and pinned with Corino's bridging Saito suplex.  Benjamin & Haas turned their aggression toward Titus as the show ended.

Commentators:  Jim Ross & Tony Luftman^H^H^HDawson.  Ring announcer:  Summer Rae.

Earlier today:  Tom Hannifan^H^H^HPhillips did a backstage interview with Kassius Ohno about his match with Trent Barreta tonight.  Ohno feels like Trent should get the same treatment he's given to Richie Steamboat in recent months...

Alicia Fox vs. Paige Knight:  Both gals get fairly positive reactions, though Alicia gets a bit heelish as the match progresses.  Pretty good match despite a rough spot or two...Paige gets the win out of nowhere with a Lightning Spiral(called the Paige Turner).

Big E Langston vs. Donny Camacho:  Camacho is looking to collect on Vickie Guerrero's bounty tonight.  CHALK UP~!  J.R. references King Kong Bundy with regards to the five-count.  Camacho's attempts to match power with Big E...do...not...go...well.  He manages to get in more offense than previous Langston opponents...but a slap to the face seems to wake Big E up.  Two Vader Smashes set up the Big Ending for the 1-2-3...that's not quite enough for him though.  Another Big Ending is delivered and Langston makes the five-count.  Time to leave...or not, how about one more Big Ending and another five-count?

Backstage:  Trent Barreta is down on the floor and hurt...referees and agents check on him.  A short distance away, we see Leo Kruger "looking sinister".

Phillips reports that Barreta may not be cleared to compete tonight.

Nick Rogers(w/o entrance) vs. James Bronson:  Don't see this being too competitive.  He takes out the knee in short order, drops him with a major STO, then wraps him up with his modified figure-four(Death Wish IV).

Mike Dalton(w/o entrance) vs. Luke Harper(w/ Bray Wyatt):  Wyatt enlightens us before the match, then watches from a rocking chair on the entrance stage.  Dalton never quite gets out of the blocks...Harper blocks a desperation tornado DDT and ends it with a Blackhole Slam.

Earlier today:  Phillips talked with NXT Champion Seth Rollins but Seth was attacked by Jinder Mahal...referees had to break up the fight.

Trent Barreta vs. Kassius Ohno:  Ohno wonders..."Where's Trent?"  He asks the referee to make a ten-count and declare him the winner, but General Manager/Commissioner Dusty Rhodes begs to differ.  He has a substitute in mind...

Richie Steamboat vs. Kassius Ohno:  Steamboat goes right after Ohno from the opening bell...Ohno begs off only to receive a few more chops.  Richie throws him out of the ring only for Ohno to pull off a Steamboat move by skinning-the-cat...then Steamboat clotheslines him BACK out of the ring before following him out with a plancha off the top rope!

The fight goes out to the apron, but Ohno kicks Steamboat backwards into the ringpost...that'll turn the tide.  STRIKES~! ensue, as does the CRAVATE~!...J.R. openly admits that S. William Regal could analyze the cravate better than himself.  Steamboat gets a sunset flip for two, then lands on top of a back suplex attempt for another two.  Ohno delivers a cravate-plex(!)...for two.  Richie still manages to get some offense going after that...but a top-rope chop is stopped by a headbutt in mid-air.  Corner forearm hits but Steamboat still gets a rollup...for two.  Richie ducks an incoming roaring elbow, hits the Slingblade and finally scores the three-count!

Next week:  Tag Team Champions Hell No(Kane & Daniel Bryan) in the house!

WWE Raw

-Commentators:  Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler.
-Ryback d. Lord Tensai after the Shellshock.
-Wade Barrett d. Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston(non-title) after the Bullhammer.
-Kaitlyn Bonin d. Aksana Raudoniene after a gorilla-press gutbuster.
-U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro d. Brodus Clay(w/ Funkadactyls)(non-title) after the Neutralizer; "R-Truth" Ron Killings did commentary for the match.
-Randy Orton d. Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) in a best-of-three-falls match.  Orton won the first fall by DQ after Alberto repeatedly smashed Orton's arm into the ringpost through the referee's five-count.  That allowed Del Rio to win the second fall with the cross-armbreaker.  Orton fought back to win the deciding fall with the RKO.
-The Great Khali(w/ Hornswoggle) won a handicap match against Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes) when he pinned Epico after the Punjabi Plunge.
-Mike Mizanin d. David Otunga with the Skull-Crushing Finale.
-Sheamus O'Shaunessy d. Damien Sandow after the Brogue Kick.
-Tag Team Champions Hell No(Kane & Daniel Bryan) vs. Rey Misterio Jr. & Sin Cara(non-title) ended in a no-contest when the Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) ran in from the broadcast position; the teams combined forces to get rid of Titus & Darren at that point.
-The show closed with WWE Champion C.M. Punk(w/ Paul Heyman) celebrating one full year as titleholder; Ryback tried to crash the party but was jumped by the NXT trio(Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns) before he could reach the ring.  He tried to fight them off but the numbers caught up to him and they drove him through the broadcast table with a triple-team powerbomb.

SICW Special Comment

PACKED house in East Carondelet...I was lucky to get a chair on Saturday night. Was told they had sold almost 200 advance tickets and the final attendance was reportedly close to 300.

The gimmick of the night was Ron Powers acting as manager for Travis Cook's proteges...Cook directly manages Dave Vaughn and Ken Kasa, okay. He's had past connections to Big Texan and Waco, fine. Was he just "scouting" other heels when he was at ringside for Max Archer, Bull Bronson, Jake Dirden, and Alexandre Rudolph/Gary Jackson? Was newcomer Brent Myers just unworthy of his notice? On top of that, his show-opening promo clarified that he wanted to be the one to win the title back from Ricky Cruz...so who was he truly supporting in the main event matchup between Cruz and Texan?

Apparently it took the heels three matches to figure out how to cheat without getting caught...Powers gave Archer a taste of kendo stick after the opener. Archer's got a weird dichotomy going between MMWA and SICW...he's Junior Heavyweight Champion in Missouri while he can't seem to buy a win in Illinois(last month being an exception). Heck, in SICW he feuded with ring announcer Jeff Vernetti(and lost).

A friend of mine is a big fan of Bull Bronson. He's not an "MMA guy", a smaller flippy dude, or a "body guy"(tm Carlito Colon)...he's just a big guy who kills people. I would have cringed if he had been climbing the ropes in the more-fragile previous ring.

Rudolph turned down Powers' support, then Gary said he wouldn't mind having Powers in his corner...but then they just wrestled the match with Gary as the face and Rudolph as the heel like the pre-match promo hadn't happened. Jackson and Powers fought each other about a hundred times so they have plenty of history. It wasn't too clear what Powers was trying to do when he got up on the apron near the end of the match...

The show-ending brawl included Powers throwing a table into the ring...I didn't see it, but apparently it hit Chaz Wesson rather painfully in the ribs. Ouch.

Regarding the MMWA title situations...sounds like Osborne will be sticking around as Battle Royal Champion, but the Tag Titles seem to be vacant as I was told Chase King wasn't acknowledged as co-champ last week(partner LaMarcus Clinton hasn't wrestled there for a few months).

I do my best to keep tabs on the significant indy promotions in the country...Wrestling Is Fun seems to be a spinoff of CHIKARA so I've been adding those results. There are also the handful of ECW tributes like House Of Hardcore and Extreme Rising. Other than AAPW(which I'm finally pulling up via Youtube), I try to leave the central Illinois stuff to Crimefighter since he knows it better.

Going by the SICW TV show on Sunday, the lineup for Fairmont City has already been set(Cruz-Vaughn, Hargas-Powers)...otherwise the show-ending chaos would have been a nice setup for a Survivor Series-style elimination tag match on Thanksgiving weekend. Also, it sounds like we're getting an Old School Warrior reunion...dinner menu calls for chops. :-D

WWE Survivor Series

-Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal d. Zack Ryder & Santino Marella; Drew interfered in the match leading to Mahal getting the pin on Ryder after a full nelson slam.
-Rey Misterio Jr., Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, & Brodus Clay(w/ Funkadactyls) d. The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young), Primo & Epico Colon, & Lord Tensai(w/ Rosa Mendes).  Eliminations:  Tensai pinned Brodus after the running senton.  Gabriel pinned Tensai with a crucifix.  Kidd pinned Titus with a slingshot rolling prawn cradle.  Kidd made Epico tap out to the Sharpshooter.  Rey pinned Primo with a La Majistral cradle.  Rey pinned Young after a quadruple-team flurry ending in Rey's splash off the top rope.  Survivors:  Rey/Cara/Gabriel/Kidd.
-Eve Torres d. Kaitlyn Bonin with the Heartbreaker(snap neckbreaker) to retain the Women's Title.
-Antonio Cesaro d. "R-Truth" Ron Killings via Neutralizer to retain the U.S. Title.
-Sheamus O'Shaunessy d. World Champion The Big Show by DQ when Show pulled the referee in the way of a Brogue Kick.  Initially another ref made a pin count for Show after he took out Sheamus with the PUNCH but another official ruled it a disqualification instead.
-Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, & David Otunga(subbing for the injured Cody Rhodes) d. Randy Orton, Mike Mizanin, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston, & Tag Team Champions Hell No(Kane & Daniel Bryan).  Eliminations:  Kane pinned Sandow after the chokeslam.  Ziggler pinned Kane via Zigzag.  Bryan made Otunga tap out to the No Lock.  Barrett pinned Kofi after the Bullhammer(new name for the Souvenir/short-arm forearm smash).  Alberto made Bryan tap out to the cross-armbreaker.  Miz pinned Barrett after the Skull-Crushing Finale.  Alberto pinned Miz after a step-up enzuigiri.  Orton pinned Del Rio after the RKO.  Ziggler pinned Orton after a superkick.  Survivor:  Ziggler.
-C.M. Punk(w/ Paul Heyman) won a triple threat match with Ryback and John Cena to retain the WWE Title, marking one full year as champion.  Ryback hit the Shellshock on Punk and then on Cena but was attacked by "security guards" who gave him a triple-team powerbomb through the broadcast table.  Those security guards were...Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns.  Oh, and Punk stole the pin on Cena to win.

(NWA) Anarchy Wrestling TV #355

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & Bret(t) Wolverton.

Anthony Henry vs. Tommy Penirelli(w/ C.B. Suave):  The commentators play six degrees of separation as former Young Lions' Champion Henry is facing an ally of current titleholder Adrian Hawkins.  Suave interferes on more than one occasion...and he distracts the referee from seeing the tapout when Henry gets Penirelli in the Texas Cloverleaf.  Hawkins appears to pull Penirelli to the ropes behind the official's back...Henry argues with the ref and Penirelli rolls him up for the cheap pin with a handful of tights.

Wolverton interviews Brodie Ray Chase about his shot at Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers at Fright Night.  He realizes he's an underdog and a longshot to win, but he's determined to prove people wrong.

The Vandal & Najasism vs. Andrew Pendleton III & Brandon Parker:  The face team has a big match at Fright Night against Penirelli & Suave so they're looking for momentum...they appear to be on their way to a win, but Penirelli & Suave arrive for a timely distraction.  That allows Pendleton to swat Najasism off the top rope and pin him after an STO.  The heels go on the attack but Joey Rhymer and then Anthony Henry arrive to even the odds.  It's announced that the previously-set tag match will now be an eight-man tag...okay then.

Mikael Judas, Billy Buck, & Tag Team Champions Azrael & Slim J(w/ Dan Wilson & Brodie Ray Chase) vs. Se7en, T.V. Champion B(r)o Newsom, & The Urban Assault Squad(Shadow Jackson & Nemesis)(w/ Jerry Palmer):  It's three feuds in one!  We even get a callback to old issues between Slim J and former protege Newsom.  Senior official Brent Wiley is YOUR referee for this main event.  Buck takes an extended beating but finally gets an opening to tag in Slim J...the house is on fire!  The Tag Champs work on Nemesis, then Judas tags in against Shadow.  Judas and Se7en battle, then J takes out Se7en with a corkscrew plancha.  Buck sends Newsom right out of the ring with the Buck Wild superkick.  Nemesis brings in Palmer's axhandle but eats a BOOT from Judas...welcome to Chokeslam City!  Count it(whether you want to or not), ref Wiley.  The faces dish out some post-match abuse on Nemesis for fun, then Judas accepts the gauntlet match set up by Palmer.  Judas would get a match of his choice if he wins...and his choice of opponent is Jerry Palmer.

ROH + SICW

ROH TV

-Commentators:  Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness.
-The Briscoe Brothers(specifically Jay) did a fired-up promo to start the show, rallying the roster to fight SCUM(Heavyweight Champion Kevin Steen and Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino).  With Jim Cornette out of the picture, they introduced the new matchmaker:  Nigel!  Nigel immediately set up two matches for Final Battle:  Steen vs. El Generico in a Ladder War and Jacobs/Corino defending in a triple threat match against the Briscoes as well as Caprice Coleman/Cedric Alexander.
-MsChif~! d. Allysin Kay after the Desecrator.
-Delirious does a Don West-worthy merchandise plug.
-Roderick Strong d. Tadarius Thomas with the Falcon Arrow backbreaker; Truth Martini did commentary for the match and claimed things were fine in the House Of Truth, but Strong reiterated after the match that he was done with Martini.
-Nigel announced that former ROH Champ Jerry Lynn would compete at Final Battle and he brought out a new title belt for the winner of the main event...
-Adam Cole d. Kyle O'Reilly with the Florida Key(straitjacket German suplex) to retain the T.V. Title.  During the match, Davey Richards asked Nigel for time on next week's show to confront Kyle.

SICW Wrestling Explosion

-Commentator:  Larry Matysik & Herb Simmons.
-Chris Hargas fought Ken Kasa(w/ Travis Cook & Alexis Vandenberg) to a double countout.
-Flashback to October 1983:  Nikolai Volkoff d. Al Perez after a backbreaker.

Saturday SICW Results From East Carondelet, IL

-Shorty Biggs d. Max Archer(w/ Ron Powers) by DQ when the referee caught Powers tripping up Shorty.
-Brian James d. Brent Myers by DQ after Myers delivered a blatant low blow; James dropped Myers with the sitout gourdbuster after the match and, at James' request, the referee made a three-count.
-Ken Kasa & Waco(w/ Ron Powers) d. Chris Hargas & Sean Vincent.  Hargas had Kasa set up for the F-5 but Powers threw powder in his eyes behind the referee's back and Kasa rolled up Hargas with a handful of tights.
-Bull Bronson d. Jimmy Douglas after a Vaderbomb; Powers watched the match from afar and spoke with Bronson afterwards.
-Chaz Wesson d. Jake Dirden(w/ Ron Powers) via Pedigree.
-Gary Jackson d. Alexandre Rudolph; Powers attempted to formally recruit Rudolph before the match but was turned down.  After that, Jackson said he'd have no problem with Powers being in his corner since he'll do whatever it takes to win.  Powers attempted to cause a distraction at one point(not sure who he was trying to help) but Gary got the win with a small package.
-Ring announcer Ben Simon did a brief interview with the returning Moondog Rover.
-Heath Hatton d. Dave Vaughn(w/ Ron Powers) after Powers' interference backfired, leading to Hatton hitting a spinaround layout DDT for the upset win.
-Ricky Cruz d. The Big Texan(w/ Ron Powers) in a falls-count-anywhere match to retain the Classic Title; once again Powers cost his man a match as he accidentally hit Texan with a kendo stick.  Cruz decked Powers and finished off Texan with a superkick.  Chaos erupted after the match as Powers attacked Cruz and Kasa and Waco joined in the gang attack along with Texan.  Sean Vincent made the save with a chair but the numbers caught up to him until several other wrestlers from the dressing room hit the ring and the heels retreated.  Ricky issued the challenge for next month's show:  Himself and Vincent against Powers & Kasa.

Superstars + SMS

WWE Superstars.com

Commentators:  Scott Stanford & Matt Striker.

Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal:  These teams have traded singles wins recently(Heath over Jey, Jimmy over Mahal)...we're told that Drew McIntyre is "setting up tour dates".  Stanford and Striker fire off a ton of musical references as it relates to the 3-Man Band.  The 3MB members take control once they get Jey in the wrong part of the ring...or, more specifically, the ringside area.  Jimmy gets the hot tag and rallies against Slater...Mahal breaks up a superplex but gets thrown to the floor, then Heath jumps off the second rope right into a powerslam from Jimmy...Jinder breaks up the pin.  Jinder low-bridges Jey out of the match but eats a superkick from Jimmy...but Heath is legal, KICK WHAM SMASH HIT(elevated DDT), and that's the ballgame.

The Great Khali vs. J.T.G.:  Yeahhhhh, don't see this being too competitive.  J.T.G. gets in one good shot to the knee but that's about it...JUDO CHOP~! ends it in short order.

Midweek wrestling

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Tony Luftman(for the first match), Tom Hannifan, & Jim Ross(starting with the second match).  Ring announcers:  Matt Striker(for the first match) & Byron Saxton.

Tony Luftman interviews Jinder Mahal to start the show but is interrupted by Bo Dallas.  Bo challenges him to put his title shot on the line tonight...guess that title match with Seth Rollins will happen some other time.

Yoshi Tatsu & Percy Watson vs. The Ascension(Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron):  Fairly quick matchup here...Yoshi and Percy get in a few good shots, but Cameron gets the pin on Yoshi after the Total Elimination..

Aksana Raudoniene bugs Layla El about her hair backstage...well, that's one way to set up a match.

Oliver Gray vs. Corey Graves:  J.R. replaces Luftman on commentary as Tony's apparently on interview duty again later.  Corey destroys the leg for most of the match...Gray can't do a basic suplex as a result and Graves literally wraps things up with the Fuller Leglock.

Luftman interviews Big E Langston about the bounty on his head thanks to Vickie Guerrero...he's worried about anyone who tries to collect on that bounty.  Unfortunately, he has a taker as Donny Camacho nails him from behind.  Camacho doesn't stick around for long and he seems to have merely ticked off Big E.

Layla El vs. Aksana Raudoniene:  Aksana seems more interested in posing for the fans...and Layla dropkicks her off the apron as a result.  Aksana overpowers Layla for a little while but wastes too much time and Layla fights back.  Layla wins with a Chick Kick out of nowhere...all right then.

Earlier Today:  Bray Wyatt enlightened us(as well as his followers).

Chase Donovan vs. Roman Reigns:  Honestly liked Roman better as a face...oh well, at least we're told he has the mythical "it factor".  Protobomb ends it in short order and he bugs Saxton until he gets the ring announcement to his liking.

Bo Dallas vs. Jinder Mahal:  Mahal's top-contender spot is on the line here.  Bo controls the action in the early going and escapes an early camel clutch setup, so Mahal rolls to the floor to buy some time.  The referee orders a break in the corner and Jinder gets in a cheapshot kick or two, followed by the high knee.  Bo gets a rollup for two and backslide for two before Mahal stops him with a kick to the leg.  Dallas finally gets a good run of offense ending in a belly-to-belly suplex...for two.  Spear is set up but Mahal sidesteps and Bo hits the turnbuckles.  The camel clutch is a formality...Bo hangs on but finally taps out.  Jinder dishes out some post-match abuse but NXT Champion Seth Rollins arrives to run him off.

-Rob Van Dam d. Kid Kash with the five-star frog splash to retain the X-Division Title.
-Jesse Godderz(w/ Women's Champion Tara Varon) d. Women's Tag Team Champion Eric Young(w/ O.D.B.) after a flexing version of the Stone Cold Stunner.
-Samoa Joe vs. Brutus Magnus for the T.V. Title never started because the Aces & Eights attacked Magnus and Doc Gallows destroyed him with a hammer.  Bully Ray finally arrived to run them off but the damage had been done.
-Kurt Angle & Garett Bischoff d. The Aces & Eights(Brother Devon and a bigger masked man)(w/ Doc Gallows); Wes Brisco ran off Doc and Angle mule-kicked the big guy behind the referee's back, then got the rollup pin.
-Mickie James won a battle royal to earn the next Women's Title shot at Tara Varon.  Eliminations:  Madison Rayne eliminated Brooke Tessmacher, Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. eliminated Rayne, Gail Kim eliminated O.D.B., and Mickie crescent-kicked Gail to the floor for the win.
-Bobby Roode d. James Storm after running him into an exposed turnbuckle and rolling him up with a handful of tights; Roode won Storm's title shot as a result.

MECW Special Comment

Admittedly I was a bit worried about MECW recently...their previous show was severely shorthanded as a result of travel problems and regulars being booked elsewhere. After that, their September show was cancelled with a few days' notice...thankfully, this one went off without a hitch. It was advertised as their fifth anniversary show(their first event took place in November of 2007).

Bailey Mannix was advertised but was said to be injured...not sure if he'll do his "one last match" at a future event or not.

Slight surprise to see Kyle O'Reilly and King Fale at the merchandise table. Oddly enough, they only worked as managers for newer trainees of Davey Richards and company.

Several new faces were on this show...Shane Fury had competed as "Gamertag Fury816" but his partner Martell Spade was a newcomer. Spade took some serious chops from Chris Logan in particular and it did seem like an "initiation" of sorts...heh.

Another wrestler debuting for MECW was Jake Dirden, who has been working all over the place lately. He participated in the TNA Gut Check in St. Louis a few weeks ago and is scheduled to make his 3XW debut in Iowa later this month. He had a pretty good brawl with Joey...that issue probably isn't over but we'll see.

Had seen Solo & Dean a few times in the past but the British guys were totally new. They seemed a bit green and had some rough spots, but I really don't know anything about their prior experience(I had to ask around just to get their individual names). Match was okay.

Good technical contest between Anthony and Kozina...plus they're doing a rematch at the next show. The next event is looking pretty strong with Allen/Aarons vs. Sydal/SBC, that rematch, Logan vs. Fale, and the Mr. K-McDarby lumberjack match...too bad that weekend is pretty crowded with regards to local shows.

Had read that Evan Money returned to action the previous night at a show in central Illinois, so I figured he'd make an appearance for the promotion where he got his start. Couldn't really judge from a triple threat match if there's any ring rust. Given the heel turns of MECW mainstays Mauler McDarby and Shawn Santel, I wonder if Money will follow suit...

Figured it would be a hard sell for Justin Reno to be a face...and matched up against another face in Buddy Roberts Jr., he seemed to work heel as a result. Hadn't seen Buddy in MECW in a few months...think Money did make reference to the fact that he and Buddy technically still have a tag title shot in the bank. They made a big deal out of the post-match handshake to continue pushing Reno in the face role.

With the no-more-title-shots stipulation of the main event, I was wondering if McDarby would get the belt...after much overbooking, Allen pulled out the win with Mr. K making the three-count. The ownership situation is still a bit unclear, but McDarby said that he knew more about the Sarin Sinn deal than you might think...hmm.

As I said, their next show is already set up fairly well and it's too bad I won't be able to check it out...the rest of my year is pretty much set(SICW, SICW, Dynamo, SLA, MMWA, SICW).

(NWA) Anarchy Wrestling TV #354

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & Brett Wolverton.

General Manager Jerry Palmer(w/ T.V. Champion Bo Newsom, Se7en, & The Urban Assault Squad) enlightens us to start the show.  He's hired personal security to protect him from overenthusiastic fans and he's given Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers(as well as Miss Rachel) the night off.  Brodie Ray Chase gets his shot at Tempers at Fright Night while Billy Buck will challenge Newsom at that show.  The UAS will face Azrael & Slim J at that show with the stipulation to be determined by Dan Wilson(thanks to Slim J's win over Shadow a few weeks ago)...Palmer and the UAS want a hangman's match.  He sets up a gauntlet match for Mikael Judas at Fright Night...Jacoby Boykins, Se7en, and an opponent to be named later.  If Judas somehow beats all three opponents, he'll get the match of his choice.

Blake Wilder vs. Bu Ku Dao vs. Matt Lancie:  Have seen Dao before but I think the other two are making their debuts with Anarchy.  Lancie has a size advantage(especially against Dao) and not coincidentally seems to be the lone heel in this one.  Dao surprises Wilder with a crucifix out of nowhere for the flash pin...but Shadow & Nemesis(w/ Palmer) make an encore appearance to destroy everyone.  Dao gets the noose around the neck...but Tag Team Champions Azrael & Slim J(w/ Dan Wilson) make the save.  They're dressed for the occasion in barbed wire...hmm, wonder what the Fright Night stipulation will be?  They won't play the UAS game this time around...the only other barbed-wire match in this building was between Azrael and Slim J so they have the experience.  It is official:  A barbed-wire match at Fright Night!

Bolt Brady vs. Bobby Moore:  Hey, I know that guy...Brady wrestles for ACW in Texas as well as St. Louis Anarchy in my neck of the woods.  Brady hits some major aerial offense in the early going...a rana sends Moore rolling to the outside and Brady follows him out with a no-hands somersault plancha!  However, a well-timed legtrip halts Bolt's momentum as he lands hard on the ring apron.  Brady battles back(I hate alliteration) with a flying double-knee, so Moore loads up the forearm pad of death...but Bolt still maneuvers into a sunset flip for two.  Moore manages to turn things around and nail Brady with the questionable forearm smash...that's enough for the win.  Promoter Franklin Dove announces that Moore will face his rival Seth Delay at Fright Night...and he brings out a guy in a Barney costume to show what Moore will be wearing if he loses.  (See, Moore has purple ring attire so the fans chant "Barney" to bug him.)  Moore suggests the stipulation for the other side:  If he wins, he wants Seth to kiss his feet.

Adrian Hawkins(w/ Tommy Penirelli & C.B. Suave) vs. Kameron Kade, submission match for the Young Lions' Title:  Per John Johnson's edict(with the blessing of Jerry Palmer), all of Hawkins' title defenses are submission matches.  Kade busts out an old-school spinning toehold...wow.  FOOT DDT~!  Kade earned this match by virtue of his impressive win over...um...I'll get back to you on that.  Kade dragon-screw legwhips Hawkins off the second rope, then hooks a figure-four leglock(WOO~!)...Wolverton mentions Ric Flair once beat Randy Savage with the figure-four to win a slightly more prestigious belt.  Hawkins gets to the ropes...Kade goes for the hold again, but Hawkins small-packages him and, since there are no pinfalls in this match, transitions from that straight into the Sharpshooter...tappity-tap.

Penirelli & Suave talk up their Fright Night match with Vandal & Najasism...Johnson is said to be "on the road" and thus taking an extended leave of absence.  On to Hawkins...who wants to step up and challenge him?  Enter Dan Wilson...The Rev reminds Hawkins that he knows someone who once had Hawkins tapping out "like Gregory Hines on meth":  Stryknyn!  Penirelli informs them that Stryknyn won't be challenging Hawkins tonight, but maybe he'll accept a challenge from...C.B. Suave.  Ha ha.

Stryknyn(w/ Dan Wilson) vs. C.B. Suave(w/ Young Lions' Champion Adrian Hawkins & Tommy Penirelli):  It's all Stryknyn for a while, but he misses a corner knee and Suave sends him to the floor with a Jericho-style dropkick.  Hawkins and Penirelli are only too happy to get in a few shots on their fallen adversary, as you might expect.  The momentum swings a few times and Stryknyn spears Suave, then makes him tap out to the Tourniquet(Anaconda Vice) for the win!

Penirelli quickly attacks but takes a Rock Bottom and then HE gets locked in the Tourniquet for an extracurricular tapout.  The Rev lets Hawkins know that the title match will take place at Fright Night...and to make sure Penirelli and Suave don't interfere, Franklin Dove has appointed a special guest referee:  Todd Sexton!  Sexton has no love lost for Hawkins, but he helped train both of these guys and he says he'll call it down the middle.  Todd tells Hawkins to get in the ring and shake Stryknyn's hand...after much stalling, he finally enters the ring.  Stryknyn promptly blows his nose on his hand before shaking his hand...eww.

Saturday MECW Results From Wood River, IL + Other Show Results

With Bailey Mannix injured, the main event of the show was set up to be Eric Allen vs. Mauler McDarby for the title...but it would be McDarby's only title shot.

Shorty Biggs & Chris Logan(w/ Eric Allen) d. Natural Fury(Shane Fury & Martell Spade) to retain the Tag Team Titles; Shorty pinned Spade after a fallaway powerbomb/Diamond Cutter combo.

Joey fought the debuting Jake Dirden to a double countout as they brawled outside the ring.

Aaron Solo & Darren Dean(w/ Kyle O'Reilly) d. Nemesis(A.K. Prodigy & Dani Graves, w/ King Fale) when Solo pinned Graves with a victory roll.  (Thanks to Tony Kozina for filling in the name blanks.)

Mike Anthony d. Tony Kozina with an O'Connor Roll.

Brandon Aarons won a triple threat match with the returning Evan Money and Jordan McEntyre to retain the Independent Title; McEntyre had Money in a Boston crab but Aarons superkicked McEntyre and got the pin.

Justin Reno d. Buddy Roberts Jr. by countering a suplex attempt with a small package; the two shook hands after the match.

Eric Allen(w/ Shorty Biggs & Chris Logan) d. Great Plains Champion Mauler McDarby(w/ Shawn Santel & Vern Harlow) to retain the Heavyweight Title.  Santel interfered repeatedly until the referee finally ejected him from ringside(Shorty & Logan had already gone to the backstage area).  McDarby pulled the ref in the way of a double-knee by Allen and delivered a low blow, then attempted to get the pin with a sunset flip off the second rope.  However, Allen countered into his own pinning combination and Mr. K jumped in the ring to make the three-count.

After the match, McDarby laid out Allen with the title belt and a match was set up for the next show on December 1st:  Mr. K vs. McDarby in a lumberjack match.  With the ownership of the company up in the air with Sarin Sinn's absence, Mr. K would regain full control of MECW if he won.  However, McDarby said that if HE won, Mr. K would have to strip Allen of the title and hand it over to him.

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Jeremy Borash, Todd Keneley, Mike Tenay, & Taz.
-Bobby Roode d. A.J. Styles; James Storm did commentary for the match.  Storm went to ringside to stop Roode from using a chair, but Styles was also distracted by Storm's presence.  That allowed Roode to swat him off the ropes in mid-springboard and get the quick pin.
-Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. won a handicap match against Women's Champion Tara Varon & Jesse Godderz when she pinned Tara after a spear.  Tara attack after the match and hit O.D.B. with the Widow's Peak.
-Sting & Kurt Angle d. Brother Devon & Doc(Luke Gallows) by DQ when Devon attacked both opponents with Sting's bat.  Bully Ray made the save and chased off Devon, but other members of the Aces & Eights beat down Sting...Doc chokeslammed him through a table and then bashed him repeatedly with a hammer before other members of the roster arrived to run off the gang.
-Brutus Magnus, Christopher Daniels, & Frankie Kazarian d. T.V. Champion Samoa Joe & Tag Team Champions Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Shawn Hernandez; Daniels & Kazarian took out Joe with a flying clothesline/clip combo and Magnus got the pin after a Macho Elbow.

TNA XPlosion

Commentators:  Jeremy Borash & Todd Keneley.

A.J. Styles vs. Robbie T(erry)(w/ Robbie E(ckos)):  Proverbial uphill battle for A.J. here...his attempts to grab holds are literally shrugged off.  Styles' dropkick doesn't even knock Robbie T off his feet and A.J. gets tossed into an involuntary slide into the ringpost.  Terry takes a cue from the British Bulldog with a super-delayed vertical suplex.  Styles escapes a second suplex attempt and kicks the leg, then snaps the throat off the top rope and nails the springboard forearm...for two.  Eckos trips up A.J. behind the referee's back and Terry levels him with a clothesline...for two.  Running powerslam attempt is escaped and A.J. gets a sleeper but Terry backs him into the turnbuckles.  Chokeslam...no, Styles fights out of it and stuns him with a jumping enzuigiri, then follows that up with the Pele Kick for the 1-2-3.

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Tony Luftman, Byron Saxton, S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the main event).  Ring announcer:  Matt Striker.

Trent Barreta vs. Kassius Ohno:  Barreta won a previous encounter with Ohno thanks in part to Richie Steamboat.  Trent tries for an early sunset bomb to the floor but Ohno pulls the ring banner over Trent's head and stomps him in the face...that'll work.  Barreta fights out of a dragon sleeper but Ohno maneuvers into a CRAVATE~! in response.  The momentum shifts a few times but Trent hits a variation of the Dudebuster DDT after initially being blocked...for 2 1/2.  Kassius hits a huge forearm smash out of nowhere...only to get small-packaged for 2 1/2.  Ohno BOOTs him down...for 2 1/2.  Barreta fights out of a superplex to hit a missile dropkick, but he whiffs on the Gobstopper Knee and Ohno bails to the floor to regroup.  Trent chases him out there and back into the ring, but that's enough of an opening for Ohno to blast him with the roaring elbow...count it, ref.  Ohno lines up for some post-match damage, but Trent ducks the Death Blow and Ohno ducks out of the ring only to eat a baseball slide.  Looks like this issue isn't quite settled...I have no problem with this.

Corey Graves gets a vignette...good for him.

Big E Langston vs. Memo Montenegro:  Montenegro is the brother of Alberto Del Rio...small world.  CHALK UP~!  Don't see Montenegro's debut doing well...opening lockup goes badly for him.  Vader Smash, Big Ending, 1-2-3.  Big E feels like a five-count is in order...so he hits the Big Ending again and does his own count.  The fans want more carnage but EXCUSE ME...Vickie Guerrero threatens him from the NXT-Tron and puts a $5,000 bounty on his head.  Langston is all "Okay, anyone want to try something?"  He looks back toward Memo but Chad Baxter attacks him from behind...that doesn't go well for Chad.  Vader Smash, Big Ending, self-delivered five-count.

Jason Jordan is already in the ring, but he's baaaaack...hello, Bray Wyatt.  He speaks his mind but Jordan is looking for a fight.  Wyatt says he's a monster and he's never alone...thus enters his follower.

Jason Jordan vs. ?(w/ Bray Wyatt):  Regal briefly mentions Aiden English as Jordan's scheduled opponent but, hey, plans change.  This large gentleman was known on the indy circuit as Brodie Lee, for reference.  He brawls his way into a quick advantage, but a BOOT in the corner misses and Jordan gets a brief flurry of offense.  However, it doesn't last as the big man drops him with a major Bossman Slam...that'll do it.  Wyatt properly introduces "the first son of the Wyatt family" afterwards...his name is Luke Harper.

Saxton interviews Roman Reigns(formally dressed for the occasion)...Reigns immediately dismisses Saxton and does his own promo.

Justin Gabriel vs. Bo Dallas vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal, four-way dance:  Winner gets the next shot at NXT Champion Seth Rollins...J.R. and Regal are on the call for this one.  This was taped a while ago so the 3-Man Band hadn't formed yet.  Surprising that this is elimination-style as WWE's multi-way matches are usually one-fall.  We immediately get Gabriel/Drew and Bo/Jinder as the pairoffs...the faces clear the ring, then Bo baseball-slides Drew and Gabriel takes out both heels with a huge somersault plancha!

Drew and Jinder start working together against Dallas(Gabriel's out on the floor)...but Mahal quickly double-crosses McIntyre with a clothesline.  Drew makes him pay with a BOOT but Gabriel springboards in with a cross-body on Drew.  Gabriel STOs Dallas...Bo avoids the springboard moonsault but Justin lands on his feet and clotheslines him to the floor.  Gabriel tilt-a-whirls into a DDT on McIntyre, then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb on Mahal.  Fall From Grace...HITS but he hurts himself on the landing and can't make the cover.  Drew tosses Gabriel but Bo SPEARs Drew out of nowhere to eliminate him!

Gabriel tries to springboard back into the ring but Dallas SPEARs him out of the air...and that's another pinfall!  That was fast...we're down to Bo and Jinder!

Rollins takes a seat on the entrance stage to watch the remainder of the contest...the fight spills out of the ring and Mahal runs Bo into the steel steps.  Jinder controls the pace from there and cuts off a brief rally with a high knee...for two.  Full nelson slam...gets two.  Dallas makes the comeback and powerslams Mahal, but this time the spear misses and he hits the ropes hard.  Camel clutch is locked in and Dallas has nowhere to go but Tapout City.  A long-distance staredown ensues between champion and challenger...Mahal puts Bo in the camel clutch again, drawing Rollins into the ring for a fight.  Mahal gets a close look at the title belt, but Seth fires back and Jinder retreats.

Next week:  Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal for the NXT Title.
