Raw + This Week In Wrestling

WWE Raw

-Commentators:  Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, & John Bradshaw Layfield.
-The Undertaker started Raw but was interrupted by Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman...after much stalling, the two fought in the ring with Lesnar getting the better of the exchange.  Brock finished with the F-5.
-Alberto Del Rio d. Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston(non-title) after the close-range superkick.
-Summer Rae d. Natalya Neidhart; Summer rolled out of the ring and Nattie tried to pull her back in, but Summer kicked her in the head from the apron and got the pin after that.
-Tag Team Champions Jimmy & Jey Uso & Los Matadores(Fernando & Diego)(w/ El Torito) d. The Real Americans(Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger), Ryback, & Curtis Axel when Fernando(switching into the ring after Diego was injured by the Patriot Lock anklelock) small-packaged Swagger.
-The Brotherhood(Cody Rhodes & Goldust) d. Damien Sandow & Johnny Fandango(w/ Summer Rae) when Goldust pinned Sandow after the Final Cut(elevated neckbreaker).
-Bray Wyatt(w/ Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) d. "R-Truth" Ron Killings(w/ Xavier Woods) with the Sister Abigail.  Woods got laid out as well; the Wyatts posed in the darkness after the match, but John Cena snuck into the ring dressed in the coveralls and sheep mask and cleaned house.  Rowan took an F-U but Wyatt got away before Cena could hit the move on him.
-Naomi Night d. Women's Champion A.J. Lee in a non-title lumberjill match after the Rear View.
-Kane d. Roman Reigns by DQ; the fans voted on which member of The Shield would face Kane.  The New Age Outlaws(Road Dog & Billy Gunn) made their entrance but were cut off by U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins.  The Shield members beat down Kane(drawing the disqualification) but the Outlaws pulled Kane out of the ring before they could hit the triple-team spike powerbomb.
-Piper's Pit led to a brawl with a bunch of the battle royal participants...ending with The Big Show clearing the ring.
-WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Batista(non-title no-DQ match) ended in a no-contest.  Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were doing commentary when Daniel Bryan jumped the barricade to attack HHH.  All hell broke loose and Bryan cleaned house on all three wrestlers before standing tall to end the show.

SICW Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about Saturday's Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling show at the Community Center in Caseyville, Illinois.

This was SICW's first show in Caseyville in recent memory; it was a benefit for local firefighters.  I had a busy evening as I drove to St. Charles for my cousin's wedding reception, then drove back for the wrestling show...the show was only about a ten-minute drive from my house.

I probably looked a bit odd as I was dressed more formally than usual(for the reception), but I still bothered to wear the Wayne's World baseball cap that seems to have become my identifying trademark in these circles.  It's to the point where people ask about the hat if I don't wear it...recently I was even asked if this was my real hair under the hat since it's pretty long nowadays.  Bwahahaha...

Attendance was really good for the first show at a new venue...it was estimated to be slightly over 200 fans.  Hope they run there again in the future...always appreciate shows that are closer to home for me.

Your ring announcer was Ben Simon, your referees were Jay King and Keith Smith Jr.

"The Don Mega" Shorty Biggs vs. Dark Secret:  "Dark Secret" was a masked wrestler who I hadn't seen before...a friend speculated on his identity and I'll leave it at that.  Shorty didn't use his usual Shortcut finisher; with a bit more ceiling clearance than the East Carondelet venue, we saw the guillotine legdrop for the first time in a while.  This was a bit more competitive than you would think, but Shorty got the win in 5:45.

Daniel Eads vs. Frankie "The Thumper" Wyatt vs. Max Archer, three-way dance:  SICW doesn't do a lot of three-way matches and even fewer with elimination rules.  Eads and Wyatt have recent issues; Wyatt spent the first few minutes outside the ring and let Eads and Archer fight it out.  Eads eliminated Archer after a short-arm clothesline; didn't get the time of the fall but it was before the five-minute mark.  Archer was supposed to leave the ringside area after being pinned, but he stuck around and kept interfering against Eads.  Eads survived the two-on-one situation and the referee seemed to let it go...resulting in the indirect schoolboy trip that led to Eads' victory at 7:33.

Big Jim Hoffarth vs. Ballistic Brent Myers:  Hadn't seen Myers in a while; not too familiar with him but he's apparently from the Chicago area.  Myers survived several high-impact power moves from Hoffarth...figured it'd just be a one-sided match but he put up a good fight.  Big Jim got the win with the big splash in 5:47.

After all this time of attending local independent shows, this was my first chance to officially meet Mr. Larry Matysik.  I'm a bit young to remember Wrestling At The Chase, but it was a staple for longtime wrestling fans in the St. Louis area and he was the voice of that television program.  Since I send the show results to Pro Wrestling Illustrated and a few websites, it's funny to see the usual credit line in the Observer update:  "Credit to Larry Matysik and Patrick Brandmeyer".  He's a very nice guy and I appreciate that he took the time to converse with myself and Drew Abbenhaus.

Promoter Herb Simmons did a quick interview with Larry after intermission...it's always a tough question to ask who was the toughest guy around.  My dad wasn't too big into wrestling, but the name he always remembered was Dick The Bruiser; I saw a few of The Bruiser's matches on SICW Wrestling Explosion's flashback segments.

Manager Travis Cook ran his mouth, introducing himself to the Caseyville audience and drawing their ire fairly quickly.  That brought out Heath Hatton to run him off...he seems to be fairly soft-spoken guy, which is fine for a down-to-earth fan favorite character.  It helped that he had strong heel characters(Ken Kasa and Travis) as his foils for the night.

"The Great One/Gorgeous/Night Train" Gary Jackson vs. Joker:  Gary had a proverbial uphill battle against the larger Joker.  This was solid for what it was...good finish to the match with Gary winning through his experience advantage at 7:17.  There was some tension after the match since Joker thought it was just a two-count...but they shook hands after the match, so maybe Joker's going to become a fan favorite.

"Ironman" Ken Kasa(w/ Travis Cook) vs. Heath Hatton for the Classic Title:  Good feeling-out sequence to start as Kasa claimed he could easily outwrestle Hatton...Kasa got into the amateur "down position" and Heath proceeded to prove him wrong.  There was some controversy with the finish as it looked like the ref MIGHT have seen Travis' belt attack but proceeded to finish the ten-count at 18:58.  It's a tough situation as it would have resulted in a disqualification but the belt wouldn't have changed hands...especially since Kasa and Cook have no qualms about retaining the title in that fashion.  Hatton dished out some retribution on Cook after the bout...the match got a great crowd reaction and I could see these two meeting again in the future.

Ron Powers & "The Old School Warrior" Chaz Wesson vs. Ricky Cruz & Ax Allwardt, best-of-three-falls:  The stipulation was a last-minute addition to the main event.  Ax replaced Dave Vaughn who was originally scheduled for the bout.  Obviously Powers and Cruz have a ton of history; Chaz fought Ricky last week in East Carondelet and Ricky busted him open with a steel chair.  Ax has battled Chaz on a few occasions in a battle of Old School Warriors.  One of the main stories of the match was the tension between Ricky and referee Keith Smith Jr. after last week's events:  Commissioner Keith Smith took matters into his own hands against Cruz, but Cruz got the better of the fight until Keith Jr. ran him off with a chair.  With Ricky's recent attitude change, I'm sure he'll have his own theory about Keith Jr.'s presence as the official in this match...heh.

At any rate, the first fall ended out of nowhere as Ricky shoved Keith Jr., drawing a DQ at 6:56.  Things broke down in the second fall as all four men brawled; I was expecting the rulebreaker side to even things up, but the fan favorites took it in two straight.  Chaz won the second fall with the cross-body off the top on Ax in a total match time of 15:36; another benefit of the ceiling clearance as he usually has to watch his head on the top rope.  Fans go home happy, the end.

In-ring quality was pretty solid; nothing to complain about here (though I'm sure some of you might be looking for that sort of thing, LOL).  Sometimes I watch wrestling on my own and sometimes I watch with other people with different perspectives on the product.  Sometimes those people are fellow fans, other times those people are wrestlers or people in the wrestling business like Mr. Matysik.  It's always an educational experience as they notice things that I might not catch.

Elsewhere this weekend:  NWA Central States Championship Wrestling had a show in Richland, Missouri.  "Showtime" Shane Somers retained the NWA Central States Title in a countout loss to G.Q. Smooth (managed by Garrett Williams).  Evan "Money" Morris retained the Affliction Title against "The Playmaker" Mitch Johnson(Ben Simon's favorite wrestler!).  The match initially went to a time-limit draw, but non-title overtime was ordered and Morris got the quick win in that time period.  WLW Heavyweight Champion Elvis Aliaga added more gold to his resume as he won a ten-man Rumble-style battle royal for the vacant NWA Missouri Title.

April is shaping up to be VERY busy with three Dynamo shows as well as the monthly offerings from MMWA and SICW.  To wit:

Saturday 4/5:  Dynamo in Fenton(Stratford Inn) (Jake Dirden(C) vs. Jeremy Wyatt)
Saturday 4/12:  MMWA in St. Louis(South Broadway) (Gary Jackson & Brian James vs. Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins)
Saturday 4/19:  Dynamo in Glen Carbon (Jake Dirden(C) vs. Davey Richards)
Tuesday 4/22:  Dynamo in St. Louis(Off Broadway)
Saturday 4/26:  SICW in East Carondelet

Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.

Anarchy Wrestling TV #426

Commentators:  Bret Wolverton & Jonathan Feltner.

Feltner interviews The Laredo Kid...well, as much as he can interview someone who no habla ingles.  His brother is coming and Los Laredos will be making their tag team debut in a few weeks.  Okay then.

Miss Rachael(w/ B.J. Hancock & Joey Rhymer) enlightens us...Anthony Henry's been in a bit of a slump lately, but he'll rebound soon.  She tries to reference Tim Tebow and B.J. has to inform her that Tebow isn't the best example...heh.

"The Stray Cat" Brodie Ray Chase vs. "The Modern Classic" B.J. Hancock(w/ Miss Rachael & Joey Rhymer):  Rhymer sticks his nose into the proceedings to turn the tide in Hancock's favor...Rachael adds a slap to the face while the referee's back is turned.  Chase rallies, but Rachael argues with the ref as Rhymer springboards in with a flying knee trembler to break up the double-underhook DDT.  Hancock gets the rollup pin and holds the ropes for good measure... CHEAT TO WIN~!

Tag Team Champions The Washington Bullets(Jon & Trey Williams) vs. Jeremy Foster & "The Upgrade" Mikey Watkins, non-title:  The Bullets stall on the floor until Foster & Watkins finally go out to get them.  Foster has been in Anarchy a few times, though he usually teams with Jake Coal.  Watkins only recently made his debut with the promotion.  Foster gets isolated from his corner for a while...but the tide turns when Jon takes too long on the second rope and lands...rather...painfully on Foster's knees.  An enzuigiri takes out Trey and Watkins gets the hot tag!  The Bullets cut him off momentarily, but a double-team backfires as Watkins somehow hits a headscissors on one and a Diamond Cutter on the other in mid-air!  Watkins makes an ill-advised tag to Foster and then whiffs on a plancha attempt on Trey...Trey re-enters for a backcracker on Foster and then Jon jumps off the second rope for a flying Diamond Cutter!  Jon gets the pin after that combo, needless to say.

Enter The Urban Assault Squad(Shadow Jackson & Nemeis)...they make their point clear:  Those are their belts and they want them back.  The Bullets are hesitant...in their defense, they did just wrestle a match.  They act like they're ready to go, but they slide out of the ring instead...just in time for Strkynyn to attack the UAS!  He's looking for revenge for his injured partner Dany Only...but it's two against one and Nemesis rakes the eyes to set up a DDT by Shadow.  Nemesis brings in two chairs as they're looking to do the same leg-breaking move as they did on Only...but Kevin Blue & Brandon Parker run them off.

"Wild" Billy Buck vs. "The Southern Savior" John Skyler for the T.V. Title:  Buck has been a fighting champion and this will be a tough test for him.  Skyler takes control and C.B. Suave strolls out to ringside...we're reminded that he has a title shot of his choice in the proverbial bank.  The momentum swings a few times and both men are left down after mutual clotheslines.  El Big Comeback ensues, punctuated by the Samoan Drop...for two.  Buck Wild superkick is set up but Skyler ducks it...Skyler's dropkick is blocked and Buck turns it into a catapult into the turnbuckles.  Buck double-legs him into the figure-four leglock in the middle of the ring...Skyler finally rakes the eyes in a desperation move to escape.  Skyler surprises Buck with the slingshot spear out of nowhere...for two.  Reversal sequence ends in a spinebuster by Buck...for two.  Buck blocks an attempted Spoiler Alert(Sliced Bread #2) but Skyler hits him with his own superkick...for two.  He sets up for another superkick, triggering another reversal sequence that ends in Buck landing his own Buck Wild superkick for the win!

"The Italian-American Bad Boy" Tommy Penirelli makes his entrance...HE'S getting the next shot at Buck's title, much to the surprise of his partner Suave.

Heavyweight Champion "The Priest Of Punishment" Mikael Judas & "The No-Pain Train" Iceberg vs. "Wrestling's Most Dangerous Weapon" Geter & "The Deadly Sin" Se7en(w/ Agent/Attorney Jeff G. Bailey):  It doesn't take long for this one to break down into a donnybrook...the referee decides he's rather officiate from the safety of the ring apron.  Judas dukes it out with Se7en while Iceberg takes his fight with Geter to the floor...NOW we get the opening bell.  Geter and Se7en do NOT like each other, it is made clear...they both wants a shot at the gold.  Judas and Se7en end up on the floor momentarily as we finally settle down to standard tag rules...neither side gets a sustained edge for too long.  Once the Geter/Se7en side gets Iceberg in trouble, they still can't get along...Bailey is Se7en's current manager and Geter's FORMER manager...in fact, Bailey cut Geter loose due to the three-member stable limit at the time.  (He does have a spot open at the moment, I must note...)  Se7en impressively bodyslams Iceberg, but it takes quite a bit ouf of Se7en as well...Iceberg has dropped weight since his biggest days but is still a huge man.  The partners argue and Geter actually hits Se7en, leading to Judas getting the tag for his side.  Iceberg tags back in surprisingly quickly as Bailey reads Geter the riot act for not helping...Geter finally steps off the apron in protest.  Se7en fights back against Iceberg and Geter gets back up on the apron for a tag...only to hit his partner AGAIN.  Iceberg capitalizes with a belly-to-belly suplex...and he just barely keeps Se7en down for three!  After that, it's announced that Judas' next title defense will be against...Iceberg!

-Tag Team Champions reDRagon(Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) d. The Brutal Burgers(Brutal Bob Evans & Cheeseburger)(non-title) when O'Reilly pinned Cheeseburger after the Chasing The Dragon(brainbuster/head kick combo).  Todd Hanson & Raymond Rowe watched the match from the entranceway.
-A.J. Styles fought Michael Elgin to a thirty-minute time-limit draw; Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole did commentary.  Styles and Elgin both wanted overtime but Cole BELTed both guys; Jay Briscoe ran out after him and he tried to escape, but Kevin Steen cut him off in the aisleway and he had to jump the guardrail to get away.

-Daniel Eads won a three-way dance with Frankie Wyatt and Max Archer.  Eads eliminated Archer after a short-arm clothesline, but Archer hung around ringside and interfered in the match.  That backfired as Wyatt picked up Eads for a slam, but tripped over Archer and Eads fell on top for the pin.
-Big Jim Hoffarth d. Brent Myers with the big splash.
-Manager Travis Cook came out to talk up Classic Champion Ken Kasa and trash Kasa's opponent Heath Hatton; that brought out Hatton who chased Cook away from the ringside area.
-Gary Jackson d. Joker; Joker hit a running senton and made an arrogant cover, but Gary crucifixed him to the mat for the three-count.  The two shook hands after the match.
-Ken Kasa(w/ Travis Cook) d. Heath Hatton by countout to retain the Classic Title.  Hatton nearly got the win after a spear, but Travis pulled the referee out of the ring before the three-count.  The fight spilled out of the ring and Hatton charged at Kasa only to hit the ringpost when Kasa moved aside.  Cook hit Hatton with the title belt from behind, leading to the countout and Kasa retaining his title.  Heath got some revenge after the match when he finally got his hands on Travis Cook...but Kasa walked out with his championship intact.
-Ron Powers & Chaz Wesson d. Ricky Cruz & Ax Allwardt in a best-of-three-falls match.  Powers & Wesson won the first fall by DQ when Cruz shoved referee Keith Smith Jr.; this stemmed from last week's show when Keith Jr. ran Ricky out of the ring with a chair in defense of his father.  All four men fought in the second fall and Ricky took another swing at Keith Jr., but Keith ducked the punch and slapped him!  In the chaos, Wesson got the pin on Ax with a cross-bodyblock off the top rope.

AAW Pro Wrestling TV #4

Commentators:  Phil Colvin & Derek St. Holmes, Esq.

Heidi Lovelace vs. "Miss Natural" Heather Patera:  Miss Natural has the Patera-esque blond hair for this match; she's a veteran who has regularly competed for Harley Race's WLW.  Have only seen Heidi a few times; she worked a St. Louis Anarchy show last year and also appeared at National Pro Wrestling Day a few months ago.  She hits a Northern Lights suplex for an early near-fall but Heidi comes out with a front-facelock out of that predicament.  YAY WRESTLING~! ensues and Lovelace hits a flying armdrag off the top rope, but Miss Natural pulls her into the turnbuckles and crotches her on the ringpost.  This leads to a brawl on the floor and Miss Natural whips Heidi repeatedly into the guardrail(no countouts!).  Patera brings the roughhouse tactics to establish herself as the bad "guy"...but she goes to the top rope and gets cut off.  Heidi throws off her top(she has a sports bra underneath, getyermindouttathegutter) and does a handstand into a Frankensteiner to take Miss Natural down from the ropes!  Educated feet are unleashed, but she misses the last one and Patera hits a straitjacket electric chair drop!  Both women are down...but Heather gets the full nelson(shades of Ken whatshisname!), but Heidi armdrags her way out of it amd gets a rana pin...for two.  Double-kneedrive off the second rope...gets two.  Patera gets the full nelson again, Lovelace sits out into a victory roll...but Patera reverses the pin combination and holds the tights for the cheap win!

Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana vs. Dirty Dan Lawrence:  Dirty D.L. is a veteran of the Chicago wrestling scene and has held multiple championships in AAW.  There's some bad blood between these two...it's not all fun and games as it usually is for Colt.  Lawrence stops a bionic elbow attempt with a slap to the face...then throws Colt out of the ring where he noticably comes up limping.  Colt tries to duck away from a suicide dive attempt so D.L. stops short and slaps him on the back of the head...then he goes for a plancha for real and Cabana casually strolls out of the way.  Ha ha.

Cabana tries on Lawrence's "members-only" jacket but has trouble getting it off, allowing Lawrence to return fire.  They trade chops but Colt's seem to be slightly more effective...the battle continues outside the ring(no countouts!) and Cabana rams Lawrence into a fan's dry-erase board...why not?  Lawrence crotches Colt on the middle rope as he re-enters...that's one way to turn the tide(no disqualifications!).  He tries for Colt's own Billy Goat's Curse(reverse Boston crab) but can't quite turn him over, so he settles for more general abuse...Cabana mounts a comeback but a blind charge hits the ringpost shoulder-first.  The fans chant something that I can't repeat on a family blog...err, okay, I guess I don't HAVE to be PG.  D.L. goes to the top rope but has trouble getting his balance...in fact, he slips and lands badly on the top rope without any inference from Colt!

The fans inform us that This Is Awesome...Cabana hits the delayed atomic drop but misses the Flying Apple.  Lawrence tries his own and hits it, but Cabana wipes him out with a flying butt-bump in mid-ring...for two.  D.L. comes up with a second-rope flying headscissors out of nowhere, then a turnbuckle-walk DDT...for two.  Lawrence borrows Cabana's bullseye elbowpad...but Colt cuts off the bionic elbow attempt, then replaces the elbowpad to deliver his own.  Billy Goat's Curse is escaped and Lawrence hits a neckbreaker onto the knee...for two.  They trade shots and D.L. tries for a reverse rana, but Cabana blocks it and hooks the Curse in mid-ring for the tapout!

Markus Crane vs. Alex Colon:  Don't think I've seen Alex Colon before.  YAY WRESTLING~!  FLIPPIES~!  Crane is one of those unorthodox types...but Colon stops him with a Death Valley Driver onto the ring apron.  Crane can't quite pull off a headscissors out of the corner; Colon blocks to hit a forward electric-chair drop into a pin combo for the win.  Colon demands better competition...

Hellooooo Scarlett Bordeaux...'nuff said.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young vs. Alex Colon:  Well, he got his wish.  Young calls the fans "retards" and the fans chant "We Are Retards"...okay then.  Feeling-out process to start...YAY WRESTLING~!  Val Malone is conspicuous by her absence, though Eddie Kingston probably has something to do with that.  Lots of counterwrestling ensues...woo.  The match spills out of the ring and Colon sends Young into the guardrail, but Young sidesteps a charge and Colon ends up in the laps of the front-row fans!  Young is decidedly uncomfortable with the "fan support" thing and Colon goes to the eyes to slow him down.  Silas fights out of a chinlock by backing Colon into the turnbuckles...time for El Big Comeback!  Reverse fireman's-carry slam gets two.  Colon drop-toeholds Silas into the turnbuckles, then goes out to the apron for a running boot...so much for that rally.

Arrogant cover only gets two so he goes to the camel clutch...Silas counters into a victory roll for two, reversed by Colon for two...and Colon goes back to the camel clutch, but Silas gets a foot on the bottom rope.  No disqualifications, but the ref makes a five-count anyway(referee's discretion, we're told).  Colon hits a uranagi into a knee strike to the back...for two.  Silas comes up with a Regal Roll out of nowhere but Colon crucifixes him...for two.  Silas stuns him with IT'S THE BIG FOOT, then hits a belly-to-back backbreaker into a short-range clothesline...for two.  Young hits another Regal Roll...Colon avoids the turnbuckle-headstand ropeflip moonsault, but he runs into a Buh-Buh Bomb.  Silas turns him over into the Stocklock(full nelson out of the Crippler Crossface position) and that gets the tapout!

-Cody Rhodes(w/ Goldust) d. Johnny Fandango(w/ Summer Rae) after the Beautiful Disaster kick.
-The Big Show d. Titus O'Neil with the PUNCH.
-John Cena fought Luke Harper(w/ Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan) to a no-contest.  After a competitive matchup, Cena set up Harper for the F-U when the Wyatt video hit and the lights went out.  When the lights came back on, the Wyatts had Cena tied up in the ropes with the sheep mask on his face.  FOLLOW THE BUZZARDS~!
-Naomi Night(w/ Cameron Lynn) d. Women's Champion A.J. Lee(w/ Tamina Snuka) by countout when A.J. walked away from the match.  Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guerrero ordered A.J. to defend her title at WrestleMania in an "invitational" against...practically the entire female roster.
-Next entrant to the Hall Of Fame:  Razor Ramon.
-U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins(w/ Roman Reigns) d. The Real Americans(Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger)(w/ Zeb Colter) when Rollins pinned Swagger after the Blackout(advanced curbstomp).  Afterwards, Cesaro attacked Rollins only to get speared by Reigns, then triple-team spike-powerbombed through the broadcast table.  Kane announced that he and the New Age Outlaws(Road Dog & Billy Gunn) would face The Shield at WrestleMania.
-Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman closed the show...Lesnar called out The Undertaker.  The druids brought out a casket and Lesnar checked inside only to find it empty.  Heyman got bold and started trash-talking...but then the casket re-opened and Taker was inside.  Taker and Lesnar had a brief fight that ended with Taker knocking Lesnar out of the ring...standoff and SIGN POINT~! to wrap things up.

SICW Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about Saturday's Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling show at the Community Center in East Carondelet, Illinois.

It was another full house at SICW...attendance seemed to be SLIGHTLY down but not drastically.  Now that the weather's getting nicer, wrestling crowds may be affected.

Your ring announcer was Ben Simon, your referees were Keith Smith Jr. and Jay King.

Promoter Herb Simmons started the show by hyping the night's card and mentioning next week's Caseyville show...I hadn't heard much about that show and, until recently, wasn't sure if it was still happening.  Good to hear...I should be able to make it to that.  Herb did a quickie interview with Brian Kelley about the new Missouri Wrestling Revival yearbook...check it out if you have the chance.  I may have contribued a few things to said publication.

Andino Giovanni vs. Waco:  I didn't see when the injury happened, but Giovanni seemed to be favoring his shoulder early in the bout.  Unfortunately, it was apparently the shoulder he had previously injured.  Hope it's nothing serious...Waco got a quick pin once it was clear that Giovanni was struggling to continue.

Big Jim Hoffarth vs. Max Archer:  Odd officiating in this one as Waco blatantly interfered, but Hoffarth fought off his former tag partner without much trouble and the referee let the bout continue.  Hoffarth went on to win, rebounding from his loss to Classic Champion Ken Kasa at last month's show.

Heath Hatton vs. "The Money" Matt Cage:  This was Cage's SICW debut, but not the first time these two have crossed paths.  They had a big rivalry in Pro Wrestling Collision, so they know each other very well and had a really good matchup.  I wasn't sure how Cage's style would work with this particular audience...SICW caters to a more old-school crowd than the Ring Of Honor style of St. Louis Anarchy or even AAW.  It seemed to go over well, so that's cool...hopefully Cage will be back in the near future.

Good to see "The Icon" Chris Hargas back at a wrestling show...he was injured last year and will be returning to action in the near future(specifically next month).  Ben Simon kept directing him toward the video camera...heh.  That's an overlooked part of wrestling once television is involved:  Learning to play to the camera(s).

"The Don Mega" Shorty Biggs vs. "Gentleman" Jake Parnell:  Wasn't sure why Parnell didn't have his top hat and gloves since he was the "rulebreaker" on this night.  Spoke to a friend who said that attire isn't too bad for a fan favorite role...he could give out the hat and gloves to fans a la Bret Hart's shades.  They teased a draw but Shorty picked up the win slightly before the time limit expired...don't think either of these guys have won too much in SICW.

"The Great One/Gorgeous/Night Train" Gary Jackson vs. Mallaki Matthews:  THE RULES~! are still a crowd-pleaser.  This was Mallaki's debut with the promotion; I had seen him at Anarchy and Pro Wrestling Collision in the past.  Solid outing here; Gary got the clean win and could easily move back into title contention if that's the route they take.

"The Old School Warrior" Chaz Wesson vs. Ricky Cruz:  Ricky looks very different now that he's clean-shaven and short-haired.  Neither guy was giving an inch on this night, so Cruz hauled off and blasted Wesson in the head with a chair.  That led to the obvious disqualification and Chaz was left bloody...Ricky fought off Shorty and even Commissioner Keith Smith before Keith Jr. ran him off with a chair.  Keith Sr. can still step in the ring on occasion, so we may see him take matters into his own hands...there's also the possibility of Keith Jr. defending his family's honor.

Ron Powers & Daniel Eads vs. Ax (Allwardt) & Frankie "The Thumper" Wyatt:  The only card change of the night was Ax replacing "Mr. Unpredictable" Dave Vaughn...from what I understand, Vaughn is taking a break from wrestling.  All the best to him; hopefully he'll return down the line.  Ax and Wyatt had matching gear; always good to see for a tag team.  Eads took the abuse for his side, then Powers cleaned house after the hot tag.  Powers tagged Eads back in for a modified Rocket Launcher, leading to Eads pinning Wyatt to even the score in their feud.

"Ironman" Ken Kasa(w/ Travis Cook) vs. "Dirdey" Jake Dirden, best-of-three-falls for the Classic Title:  Kasa got a flash pin in their previous encounter, so this was set up to establish a clear winning...it didn't quite work out that way, but points for effort.  They had short rest periods after each fall...Kasa's promos leading up to the match teased that they were going long.  I don't think I'd seen either of these guys in a match of this length before...so kudos to them for that.  Kasa's interviews teased that they would go the full hour and they went just over thirty-five minutes.  The interviews also struck an interesting nerve; Kasa asserted that Dirden gets his opportunities solely because he's trying to be Bruiser Brody in an area where Brody was once a big deal.

Most of the time was taken up by the first fall, ending with Dirden getting the clean win via Asiatic Spike.  The rulebreaking kicked into high gear for the rest of the match as Travis Cook repeatedly got involved; that directly led to the end of the second fall as Dirden was counted out.  In a nice touch, the turnbuckle kickoff counter to the Spike didn't work this time as Dirden rolled off his shoulders while maintaining the hold.  THREE John Wu Dropkicks in the final fall didn't keep Dirden down.  The ref was in a tough spot as he could have easily disqualified Kasa for Cook's blatant interference...but the title wouldn't have changed hands on a DQ and Travis was blantly trying to save the title.  Dirden got a decisive win in the first fall...so that's a suitable explanation for him to get another shot in the future.

The next month or so will be very busy...next weekend is SICW in Caseyville as well as NWA:CSCW in Richland, MO.  April has three Dynamo shows(Fenton, Glen Carbon, and Off Broadway), MMWA, and SICW...then St. Louis Anarchy returns on May 2nd.  Good times.

Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.

Anarchy Wrestling TV #425

Commentators:  Bret Wolverton & Jonathan Feltner.

Alex Avgerinos & Lars Manderson vs. Hot Commodity(C.B. Suave & Tommy Penirelli):  "The Stray Cat" Brodie Ray Chase does commentary with Wolverton as he's taken an interest in the newcomers Avgerinos and Manderson.  They have the size advantage but, as the old adage goes, there's no substitute for experience.  On the other side of things, Suave & Penirelli aren't on the same page; Suave tags out at times when Penirelli's clearly not expecting it, then tags himself back into the action when he feels like it.  Avgerinos takes the lion's share of the abuse from Hot Commodity, but he reverses a whip to send Penirelli crashing into Suave at a key moment.  Manderson gets the tag as Penirelli's left with no one to tag on his side...and he hits the Falcon Arrow for the victory!

After the match, "The Italian-American Bad Boy" is upset at his partner .  Suave seems to be amused by the whole situation...he's got a future title shot in the proverbial bank so this loss doesn't matter much to him.

"The Lethal Dose" Stryknyn vs. "The Five-Star King" Anthony Henry(w/ Miss Rachel):  This old feud has been rekindled...literally, as Henry once burned Stryknyn with a fireball.  Stryknyn dominates the opening minutes, but Henry German-suplexes Stryknyn into the turnbuckles to halt that momentum.  The commentators wonder if Henry's attention is divided due to Rachael's recruitment of Shane Marx...hmm.  The momentum shifts a few times and Stryknyn Rock-Bottoms Henry into the Tourniquet(Anaconda Vise)...Henry barely gets a foot on the bottom rope.  Henry hits a Zigzag out of nowhere...for two.  Stryknyn surprises him with a pop-up Demon Bomb...for two.  He sets up for the spear, but Henry leapfrogs it...only for Stryknyn to turn right around and spear him on the second try!  1-2-3.

"The Encore" Kevin Blue & "The Sin City Saint" Brandon Parker vs. The Vandal & Kameron Kade:  With Blue's obligations as Young Lions' Champion behind him, he and Parker are teaming up again.  Vandal's gone through a few tag partners in his Anarchy career...haven't seen Najasism in a while.  Blue takes the abuse for his side but fights back and tags in Parker...the house, as they say, is afire.  Kade stops him with an enzuigiri and Vandal adds his own...now it's Parker in trouble.  Blue makes a blind tag and Vandal gets planted with a double spinebuster.  Parker sets Kade up on the turnbuckles, Blue nails Kade with a running boot, and Parker finishes the job with a piggyback Stunner!  Blue gets the pin after that...well done.

Steven "The Fever" Walters vs. Mike Posey:  Posey is still calling himself the uncrowned champion after his dubious countout win over Heavyweight Champion Mikael Judas...give the assist to Geter on that one.  The commentators wonder if Walters is still hurting from a recent piledriver on the entrance ramp from B.J. Hancock.  Posey targets the arm but Walters makes the comeback...Walters goes for a dragon suplex but Posey hangs onto the ref and mulekicks Walters in the Universal Weak Point.  Posey small-packages Walters for the cheap pin...but Seth Delay runs out to protest the decision.  With the blessing of promoter Franklin Dove(who has no love lost for Posey), we get a restart!  Posey jaws with Dove and Delay...and Walters grabs him in the dragon suplex for the real pin!

"The Temptation" Shaun Tempers(w/ Agent/Attorney Jeff G. Bailey) vs. "The Seven-Figure Deal" Ace Rockwell for the Young Lions' Title:  The history goes way back with these two as they entered NWA Wildside as a tag team known as Pomp & Circumstance.  After Wildside became Anarchy, Tempers turned on Rockwell and that started a major feud between the two.  Unfortunately, this makes two weeks in a row where the main event doesn't come to pass...Bailey informs us that Rockwell isn't there.  After some token Cornelia-bashing by Jeff G., Tempers gets the opportunity to enlighten us...he's held all the gold in this company, don'cha know.  He'll only defend his title against contenders who have proven themselves...that brings out Slim J, a guy who has ALSO held all four championships in this company.  Tempers says Slim was never NWA North American Champion and was Young Lions' Champion before there was a belt for that honor(true; it was a medallion at the time).  Bobby Moore comes out...he's a former T.V. Champion and feels like he deserves a shot.  Bailey tells J and Moore to work things out themselves...

"The Real" Slim J vs. "Hit For Hire" Bobby Moore:  Okay, this'll work.  Tempers joins Wolverton at the broadcast position.  The fight goes out of the ring in a hurry and Slim takes out Moore with a suicide dive...there's bad blood here as Moore attacked Slim a few weeks ago, leading to Iceberg fighting solo in the Tag Team Title loss to the Washington Bullets(Jon & Trey Williams).  Moore brawls his way back into an advantage but J surprises him with a Northern Lights suplex...for two.  He goes up for a moonsault but Moore shoves the ref into the ropes to knock him off-balance.  Moore curbstomps him into the bottom turnbuckle...ow.  J comes back with a rana and a turnbuckle-walk roundhouse kick...then the Screwdriver On The Rocks(Asai DDT into a Diamond Cutter) for two.  Moore returns fire with the flying boot...for two.  J rallies again but Moore levels him with a forearm smash(minus the elbowpad of death)...for two.  Slim goes to the third floor but Moore evades the flying inverted DDT...out comes the aforementioned elbowpad, but Slim gets a bridging rollup for the flash pin!

Tempers gets in Slim's face with his title belt and Temptation spray, but Moore re-enters the ring to wipe out J with the loaded elbowpad!  That's how we end the show this week...

Next week:  "The Priest Of Punishment" Mikael Judas & "The No-Pain Train" Iceberg vs. "Wrestling's Most Dangerous Weapon" Geter & "The Deadly Sin" Se7en, plus Brodie Ray Chase vs. "The Modern Classic" B.J. Hancock.

-Robert D. Evans(w/ Veda Scott & Ramone) d. The Romantic Touch by countout when Touch chased Veda under the ring.  Evans bragged about his new winning streak and said he was the "last real man" in wrestling...which drew the ire of Silas Young.
-Cedric Alexander d. Adam Page with the Lumbar Check(belly-to-back suplex into a backbreaker).  Roderick Strong did commentary and again took offense to Alexander using a backbreaker variant...then had a few words with Page after the match.
-The Briscoe Brothers(Jay & Mark) d. Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole & Michael Bennett(w/ Maria Kanellis) when Jay pinned Cole after the Jay-Driller(double-underhook piledriver).
-Next week:  A.J. Styles vs. Michael Elgin, plus reDRagon(Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) vs. The Brutal Burgers(Brutal Bob Evans & Cheeseburger).

SICW Wrestling Explosion(now on Charter Channel 191 as well as YouTube)

-Commentator:  Larry Matysik.
-Flashback to February 1981(clips):  Harley Race d. Ted DiBiase in a best-of-three-falls match.  Race won the first fall with a Tombstone; DiBiase won the second fall with the figure-four leglock.  The referee was bumped in the third fall and Race backdropped DiBiase over the top rope; he attempted a re-entry suplex but DiBiase floated over and hit a bridging back suplex with a second referee making the three-count.  However, the original referee called it a DQ due to Race backdropping DiBiase over the top rope, so the NWA World Title did not change hands.
-Flashback to May 1981(clips):  Ted DiBiase & Spike Huber d. Harley Race & J.J. Dillon by DQ; DiBiase had Dillon in the figure-four and Race broke it up with a swandive headbutt off the top rope(top-rope moves were illegal at the time).  DiBiase and Race brawled after the bell, leaving Race bloody.  The match originally had Benny Romeo as Dillon's partner, but Romeo was injured and Race substituted mid-match to get his hands on DiBiase.
-Flashback to August 1981(clips):  David Von Erich d. Harley Race by DQ; Von Erich got Race in the iron claw and Race pulled the referee into himself and David to escape the hold.  Race suplexed David on the floor and went for a swandive headbutt off the top rope but David's brother Kerry made the save.

Saturday SICW Results From East Carondelet, IL

-Waco d. Andino Giovanni; Giovanni appeared to injure his shoulder early in the bout, so Waco snapmared him to the mat and quickly hooked him for the pin.
-Big Jim Hoffarth d. Max Archer; Waco interfered in the match, but Texan fought him off and went on to beat Archer after a chokeslam and double-underhook powerbomb.
-Heath Hatton d. Matt Cage after the falling DDT.

-Shorty Biggs d. Jake Parnell after the Shortcut.

-Chaz Wesson d. Ricky Cruz by DQ when Cruz blatantly hit Wesson in the head with a steel chair.  Cruz wasn't done for the night as he continued his abuse of the bloodied Old School Warrior; Shorty Biggs hit the ring to defend Chaz but Ricky fought him off.  Commissioner Keith Smith stood up for his former tag team partner but Cruz laid him out as well.  Referee Keith Smith Jr. finally ran out with a chair and that convinced Cruz to leave the ring.
-Ron Powers & Daniel Eads d. Ax Allwardt & Frankie Wyatt; Eads pinned Wyatt after Powers rocket-launched him off the top rope into a flying Superman Punch.
-Ken Kasa(w/ Travis Cook) d. Jake Dirden in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the Classic Title.  Dirden won the first fall with the Asiatic Spike in about twenty-two minutes.  Kasa kicked off the turbuckles to counter another Spike, but this time Dirden rolled off his shoulders to escape the pin attempt.  The wrestlers tumbled out of the ring and Kasa ran Dirden into the ringpost, then Cook pulled Dirden's feet out from under him as he attempted to re-enter the ring; that led to Dirden being counted out at about the twenty-four minute mark.  Things broke down in the third fall as neither man could keep the other down and Travis blatantly entered the ring to get involved in the match.  In the chaos, Dirden threw Kasa over the top rope and then threw Cook across the ring, accidentally knocking down referee Jay King.  The official finally called for the DQ at 35:34 due to Dirden throwing Kasa over the top rope, meaning Kasa won the match and retained his title.

-U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins(w/ Roman Reigns) vs. The Real Americans(Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger)(w/ Zeb Colter) vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal(w/ Heath Slater) ended in a no-contest; it broke down into a huge brawl and Kane entered the fray to attack Reigns.  Reigns fought back against Kane but was jumped by The New Age Outlaws(Road Dog & Billy Gunn) as the Americans and Rybaxel ganged up on Ambrose & Rollins.  The seven-on-three situation saw The Shield trio fall victim to the numbers game that they had used in their own favor so many times in the past...
-MizTV featured Mike Mizanin interviewing The Big Show about the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.  Miz brought out several other battle royal participants(announcing himself as an entrant as well); an impromptu battle royal(no opening or closing bell) erupted, ending with Show "eliminating" Sheamus O'Shaunessy and then Miz.

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips, S. William Regal, & Byron Saxton.  Ring announcer:  Brandi Rhodes.

Mojo Rawley vs. Bull Dempsey:  Update:  Mr. Rawley remains hyped.  Dempsey fancies himself an old-school brawler, it would seem...he actually controls the early minutes of the match.  Mojo finally comes back with a back suplex...avalanche times two, jumping hip-check, and Hyperdrive(Earthquake buttdrop) ends it.  Rawley celebrates with a section of fans in Mojo T-shirts...good for him.

Backstage, Devin Taylor interviews C.J. Parker.  He's not happy about his loss to Rawley on NXT ArRIVAL and isn't fond of Mojo's perceived lifestyle choices either.  He gets his rematch next week...he wraps up by throwing trash in a conveniently-present recycling bin.

Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze:  Regal questions the wisdom of pursuing a wrestling career if one doesn't like being hit in the face.  As Zayn makes his entrance, Corey Graves attacks him from behind and rams him into the ringpost...that feud MUST CONTINUE~!  Looks like the match is a no-go as referees and trainers check on Sami, then help him back to the dressing room area.

Backstage:  Devin interviews Sheamus O'Shaunessy...he got his start in the developmental system(though it wasn't known as NXT at the time).  Aiden English interrupts, declaring that he's using wrestling as a stepping stone to the brighter lights of Broadway.  Sheamus decides this would be a good matchup for tonight...why not?

Adam Rose(w/ Rosebuds) vs. Donny Camacho:  BODYSURF~!  Renee Young joins the broadcast team despite wishing she could be among the partygoers.  Renee engages in friendly conversation with Regal, then just says "hi" to Byron...heh.  Rose tumbles out of a wristlock...then keeps tumbling.  The fans keep singing Rose's theme music...this guy is OVAH.  Camacho finally puts a halt to the party with a back suplex...the fans promptly declare him a "party pooper".  Camacho mockingly dances but that just ticks Rose off...time for the rally!  Bronco Buster(single-impact version) and spinebuster set up the (non-Slice) LARIATOOOOO...that'll do it.  The partiers return...I think I see a fez-wearing Simon Gotch among them.

Bayley Rose(no relation)(w/ Natalya Neidhart) vs. "The Boss" Sasha Banks(w/ Charlotte Flair & Summer-On-A-Stick):  Sasha is looking to rebound from her loss to NXT Women's Champion Paige Knight last week.  Bayley gets the better of an early technical exchange, then tries on Sasha's shades...Sasha is not amused.  Bayley's blind charge hits turnbuckles and Sasha capitalizes with a dropkick to the back...she slows the pace from there and throws Bayley out of the ring.  Nattie stops Charlotte from interfering, but Charlotte hits Natalya from behind as Bayley gets back in the ring.  Sasha tries an O'Connor Roll on a distracted Bayley, but Bayley rolls through into her own pin combo for the three-count!

Sheamus O'Shaunessy vs. "The Artiste" Aiden English:  "SPOTLIGHT PLEASE!"  Aiden does his usual musical entrance and Regal is overcome with emotion...he's severely worried about what Sheamus will do to English.  English has more to say:  "It seems a few of the people here know you."  NXT is HIS theater...but Sheamus tries his hand at singing as well.  He's not too bad of a singer himself, but Aiden feels upstaged and grabs the microphone.  Sheamus grabs it back and tries to finish his song...so Aiden nails him from behind.  Sheamus asks for the opening bell...Aiden may want to run for the hills.

The chase is on and English stomps Sheamus on his re-entry to the ring...but Sheamus turns the tide in a hurry.  Aiden gets caught in the ropes and Sheamus delivers his clubbing forearm shots(ten in all).  Brogue Kick...no, Aiden wisely ducks out of the ring.

Sheamus takes the fight to the floor and tries to bring English back in the ring...only for English to roll out the other side.  Sheamus tries to bring him back in...but Aiden rams him into the ringpost, then pulls out his leg while he's on the ring steps.  English finally has a sustained advantage...Regal openly admits to his "man-crush" on Aiden.  Sheamus fires back, then pulls himself to the top rope...but English slams him to the mat with a modified neckbreaker!  Cover...for two.  We get dueling chants, though they're somewhat one-sided in favor of Sheamus.  Aiden wears him down with a sleeperhold but Sheamus powers out of it...then makes the full-fledged comeback.  Kneelift, tilt-a-whirl slam...and the Brogue Kick ends it!

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay & Taz.
-Eric Young brawled with Abyss to start the show, ending with Abyss dropping him with the Blackhole Slam and choking him out with a chain.  As a result, he was unable to play his role in the title match where he was supposed to be chained to the monster.

-Gail Kim d. Lei'D Tapa after the Eat-The-Feet.

-Brutus Magnus(w/ Abyss) d. Samoa Joe(w/ Montel Vontavious Porter) to retain the Heavyweight Title; MVP was chained to Abyss in place of Eric Young.  The referee was knocked down and Abyss fought with MVP, finally taking him out with a chair.  Joe attempted to suicide-dive into Abyss but Abyss threw the chair into his head to stop him; Magnus took advantage with the Macho Elbow for the win.

AAW Pro Wrestling TV #3

Commentators:  Phil Colvin & Derek St. Holmes, Esquire.

Marek Brave vs. Knight Wagner(w/ Truth Martini) vs. D.C. Dynamite(Danny Cannon) vs. Ty Colton:  Things go into overdrive in a hurry with several huge dives...meanwhile, I'm still trying to keep the participants straight.  I've never seen Colton before...I have heard of Brave(he used to team with Tyler Black/Seth Rollins) but I haven't seen too many of his matches.  A unique Tower Of Doom variant leaves all but Dynamite on the mat...finishers fly and pins get broken up.  Yeah, like I'm gonna be able to keep up with this...Dynamite runs up the turnbuckles but jumps off into a Brave superkick for the finish.  Whew!

Eddie Kingston drinks Red Bull...like he needs help getting wired.  He REALLY enjoyed putting Silas Young through a table and hitting his lady friend.  He's not fond of wrestlers who cater to the people and want to have "five-star matches"...and that includes his opponent for tonight.

Juntai Miller vs. Eddie Kingston:  Never seen Miller before; he may have a rough night ahead of him.  Funny how they had to add the language/violence disclaimer once Eddie became a regular on this show...heh.  Kingston flips out on the fans and throws around the ring steps...they take an ad break just so they can get order restored for the actual match...

To his credit, Juntai doesn't back down from his larger opponent.  Kingston goes to the eyes but Miller keeps on fighting...Eddie slides out of the ring and Miller follows him to the floor with a corkscrew plancha!  Kingston crotches Miller on the middle rope as he re-enters...that'll slow him down a bit.  Juntai doesn't stay down, though it's not due to a lack of effort on Kingston's part.  Miller gets a burst of offense and shows off his striking ability...with Eddie on his knees, Miller turns a kick to the back of the head into a modified curbstomp!  That gets a close near-fall...but Kingston catches him in an exploder suplex out of nowhere.  LARIATOOOOO and tiger suplex...for two.  Backdrop driver and sliding forearm to the back of a seated Miller...for 2 1/2!  Spinning Backfist To The Future levels Miller, but Kingston takes his sweet time going for the win.

He tries to drag Juntai to his feet but he's dead weight...the referee checks on him as Eddie stands back and looks.  Eddie goes after him...Miller hits an enzuigiri out of nowhere!  Running boot...make it two...for a near-fall.  Corner boot hits and Juntai goes to the top rope...double-stomp misses and Eddie hits another spinning backfist!  Suddenly a hooded person rushes the ring to attack Kingston...we can't quite see his face but the commentators identify him as Silas Young!  Referees and security try to restore order...in the confusion, Kingston takes out Young with the spinning backfist!  Eddie has a few choice words for Silas and his...I'll say "woman".  Call it a no-contest.

Zero Gravity(Brett Gakiya & C.J. Esparza) vs. The Monster Mafia("All Ego" Ethan Page & Josh Alexander):  Heard a lot of hype about the Mafia team...look forward to seeing them.  Gakiya & Esparza are giving up a looooot of size here...okay, moreso than usual.  Alexander is sporting the traditional wrestling headgear(a la Rick Steiner).  Alexander chops Esparza so hard that PAGE feels it.  An early backfired double-team allows Gakiya & Esparza to rally...the power of the FLIPPIES~! is in full effect.  It's still a serious uphill battle for the light heavyweights but they're able to outmaneuver the big guys on a few occasions...that lasts until Alexander overhead-suplexes Gakiya INTO Esparza!

The Mafia members finally establish firm control of the matchup...Brett takes a serious beating despite his attempts to fight back.  Gakiya finally fights away from his opponents long enough to get in Esparza...the house is on fire!  Alexander eats a baseball slide, then hits the springboard clothesline on Page...running shooting star press with a half-twist into a senton gets two.  Page stuns C.J. with an enzuigiri and the Mafia members overpower him...Alexander wheelbarrow pickup into a Page re-entry Diamond Cutter INTO an Alexander wheelbarrow suplex...somehow only gets 2 1/2!  Brett re-enters to break up what looks like an attempted double Neutralizer...now all hell has broken loose.  Esparza suplexes Gakiya into a modified 450 Splash on Alexander...C.J. gets two.  They hit the assisted moonsault(looks like Brett sets up a top-rope Frankensteiner on his partner but Esparza pushes him over into the moonsault) but Page pulls Josh out of the ring.  Brett's somersault plancha is caught and they double-powerbomb him into the ring apron!  Esparza nails the somersault plancha off the top onto both men!

Alexander is left alone with C.J. but Esparza small-packages him...for two.  Josh overpowers him but C.J. manages to run the Mafia members into each other.  Esparza goes to the top rope but Page knocks him down...the double Neutralizer hits this time and Page pins C.J. for the win!
