Comedy Part 784: Hey Guys, Happy New Year

Location:  Hey Guys Comedy
Emcee:  Greg McClintock
Headliner:  Claude Stuart

I hadn't done much comedy lately due to being sick, but I went to Hey Guys on Friday evening to watch the show and ended up with a guest set.  Woo.  I tried one new joke that fell flat, but otherwise stuck to the tried-and-true material.  Word to the newbies:  Don't try out new jokes on professional shows.  At any rate, I hope that whatever illness has plagued me for the past month and a half would just bugger off already so I can get back into the swing of the comedy thing...

Dynamo Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about the Dynamo Pro Wrestling show on Saturday, December 16th at the Concordia Turners Gymnasium in St. Louis, Missouri.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm biased.  Deal with it.

The rebuilding year for Dynamo Pro wrapped up at their new "home base" this past weekend.  They're built a solid audience at Concordia Turners and hopefully that fanbase will continue to grow in 2018.  I jumped the gun on the Tag Team Titles earlier this year and was mistaken, but I heard from a good source that the D-1 Championship will be reactivated in the new year...so we can add that to a revived tag team division and the fledgling women's division.

Your ring announcer was Chris Roedel; your referees were Richard White & Martin Kattich.  Your video commentators were Luke Roberts and Patrick Brandmeyer.

Frodo "The Ghost" Meyer vs. Aqua Bandito:  This was Bandito's Dynamo Pro debut but he didn't fare too well against Frodo The Ghost in this "pre-show" match; thanks to this, the festivities started a bit early at about fifteen minutes before the official belltime.  Frodo knocked his opponent down in the corner and did a Vader Bomb-style pump into a knee smash on his opponent; it appeared as though Bandito kicked out right at three, but the referee's hand hit the mat and that was the finish in 3:30.

"The Gypsy Warrior" Orion Creed vs. Roy "The Strangler" Lewis:  Creed was a fan favorite in his Dynamo debut after previously being a rulebreaker in World League Wrestling; he has looked impressive in the early stages of his career.  Lewis picked up a big win over Jackal in November and hoped to gain more momentum on this night.  This one could have easily gone either way and Lewis nearly caught Creed in the cobra clutch that got him the win in November...however, Creed turned the tide and delivered an inverted swinging neckbreaker that ended in a Stone Cold Stunner!  That scored him the hard-fought victory in 11:00, putting him on the map in Dynamo Pro.

Jackal vs. Tag Team Champion Viktor Von Stein:  We hear the David vs. Goliath analogy in wrestling a lot, but it was very appropriate here as the former GCW Light Heavyweight Champion crossed paths with the massive heavyweight Von Stein.  While Jackal had an edge in speed and agility, he also had a huge experience advantage and was able to capitalize on his larger opponent's mistakes.  Von Stein seemed to take his opponent lightly and was content to manhandle Jackal with his size and power...but he let Jackal hang around for too long and paid for it.  Jackal delivered his flipping low DDT and a frog splash, then got the flash pin with a jackknife cradle in 6:10.

Outtkast vs. The Snitch:  As usual, The Sntich had Chris Roedel deliver his pre-match rant...he's still protesting the battle royal from 4 Hands Brewery and was carrying a sign:  "Days With No Title Shot".  He had another open challenge, which didn't work out well for him the previous month...this time around, he got the former D-1 Champion in his return to action.  Snitch has been accounting himself well in recent months, despite how his win-loss record looks...on this night, he went toe-to-to with a tough local veteran and held his own.  It's hard to believe that I've been watching Outtkast compete for about fifteen years (give or take a few sabbaticals on his part).  Snitch focused on the leg for most of the match, but Outtkast was able to make a comeback and land his signature dropkick off the second rope.  A slight ref bump allowed Snitch to land a flying clothesline off the middle rope for a close near-fall, but Outtkast fought back to win with the Case Study in 10:40.  I saw no ring rust on the part of Outtkast...it looks like he's ready to fight the top contenders once again!

"The Valedictorian" Keon Option vs. Tag Team Champion Xavier Shadows:  "The Neon Icon" Justin D'Air recently moved out of the area, so it looks like Option will be flying solo for the moment.  Time will tell if Option finds a new tag team partner to re-target the Tag Team Titles he once held.  Option was in the giving mood, entering with a gift bag to give presents to the ringside fans.  This one didn't go long as Viktor Von Stein quickly made his presence known, making his way to ringside with a metal folding chair in hand.  This distraction allowed Shadows to hit a low blow behind the referee's back, then get the cheap rollup pin in 3:04.  Once Option recovered, he vowed to the fans that he would rebound in 2018...

Ricky Rodriguez vs. Tony Esteem:  Two newcomers to the wrestling world crossed paths in this bout; both made their professional debuts fairly recently in Dynamo Pro.  Rodriguez had a fine showing against Makaze at 4 Hands Brewery in October, while Esteem debuted that same weekend in a tag match alongside Snitch against Brandon Espinosa & Jackal.  I joked on commentary that Esteem might best be defeated by throwing Nair on him...the man sports some impressive chest hair along with his vaunted beard.  These two will be a big part of Dynamo Pro's rebuilding process in the upcoming year.  Esteem isn't above cutting corners...a timely eye rake allowed him to finish with a headlock driver(a la Ethan Carter III's One-Percenter) in 5:38.

Intermission~!  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Root beer and water.

Aaron Dzinic vs. Brandon Espinosa:  Espy talked about how Dzinic was a training partner of his under the same teacher, but he would just have to beat him like he's beaten the rest of them.  Dzinic scored an upset win over then-Dynamo Pro Heavyweight Champion Brandon Aarons at a Pro Wrestling Resurgence show earlier this year, but he's still looking for his first big win under the Dynamo banner.  Dzinic survived a lot of punishment in this one, even kicking out of a pin after Espinosa's signature brainbuster...he came back with his Detonation Kick but was unable to capitalize with a pin attempt.  In the end, Espy was able to catch him in the cross-armbreaker for the hard-fought tapout win in 11:56.

Savanna Stone vs. Tootie Lynn Ramsey:  Savanna was in the unusual position of having the experience advantage over Tootie, who was making her professional wrestling debut.  The fan favorites had a feeling-out process for about two minutes, but then Rahne Victoria decided to make an appearance.  She reminded everyone that she had beaten Savanna at the October Concordia show(ignoring the fact that Savanna won the rematch the following day at 4 Hands), then complained about being left off both the November show and this event in favor of Savanna.  Co-promoter Crystal Yount decided to add Rahne to the match to make it a triple threat bout...

Savanna Stone vs. Tootie Lynn Ramsey vs. Rahne Victoria:  Rahne was in a tough spot with both opponents wanting a piece of her, so she did her best to duck out of the line of fire as often as possible.  It was a baptism by fire for Tootie to make her debut in a triple threat matchup; I think it was several months before Savanna or Rahne participated in that style of bout.  All in all, I thought she did a fine job for her first in-ring appearance...I am looking forward to seeing how she does in the near future.  Plenty has already been said about Savanna...and I think Rahne gets less hype than she deserves by comparison, as she's following a different path as a rulebreaker.  Suffice it to say that the future of women's wrestling in the St. Louis area looks very bright, from my perspective.  One of Tootie's highlights was a roundhouse kick that probably had Rahne rethinking her decision to interject herself.  The finish saw Savanna hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Tootie(and the move looked the best I've ever seen it), only for Rahne to dump Savanna out of the ring and steal the pin on the rookie in 6:19 (booyaka?).  Tootie got a nice ovation for her debut performance.

"The Master Of Hairflips" Brandon Aarons & "Lights Out" Adrian Surge vs. Heavyweight Champion "The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze & "The Heartthrob" Jaden Roller:  All four men had issues with each other on different levels...Aarons and Surge even had a few matches earlier in the year but they're on the same side now.  Of course, both want to be the Heavyweight Champion and their paths may cross in the race for contention.  One has to wonder if the same thing would occur if Roller found himself in contention for Makaze's title...alliances can be short-lived when you're a titleholder.  Surge's usual "lights out" entrance was highlighted by Surge wielding a toy lightsaber in honor of the opening weekend for The Last Jedi...I still haven't seen it but it'll happen soon.

The competitive bout saw the fan favorites take control near the end...Surge hit the spinebuster on Roller and Aarons followed up with the close-range superkick, but Makaze blatantly pulled the referee out of the ring and decked him!  Roller took the opportunity to sneak in a low blow on Aarons and Makaze got a toolbox from under the ring...the previous month he had lighter fluid and a lighter, but this time he simply went for the direct approach and brought out a hammer to assault Aarons.  However, miscommunication reared its ugly head as the champion accidentally took out his partner Roller with the weapon.  As a second official made his way to the ring, Aarons leveled Makaze with a superkick, then went to the top rope to deliver a flying double-stomp...that allowed Aarons to get the three-count thanks to the second referee in 16:32!  Aarons is in position for another title shot down the line...we'll see what 2018 has in store for The Master Of Hairflips.

Post-show saw what may become a regular tradition for shows at Concordia as I met Ben Simon, Brian Kelley, and Drew Abbenhaus at Marco's Pizza nearby...I park in their lot most of the time anyway, so it's basically within walking distance.  I just had a couple of slices of sausage and mushroom pizza as well as some Pepsi...not bad, coming from someone who's not normally a mushroom guy.

All-American Wrestling on the 30th has a stacked card once again and I'm still deciding whether I want to make travel plans...updates as warranted, I suppose.  I'm getting to the age where I'm appreciating my downtime a bit more, as this current holiday weekend would attest.  We shall see...I'll probably do some kind of year-end gimmick either way.

That's my special comment for this, the sixty-fifth wrestling show I've attended in the year 2017.  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.

NWL Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about last Sunday's National Wrasslin' League show at the Elks Lodge in O'Fallon, Missouri.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm biased.  Deal with it.

The NWL's inaugural year of existence was an eventful one; while not everything went as planned, they managed to establish themselves as a solid brand in the Kansas City area.  One could make a lot of different arguments about their level of success on the eastern side of Missouri, but the match quality has never been in question in my book.  They had initially advertised A.C.H. for this event, but he was not in attendance on this evening; he hadn't been mentioned in the match listings so I figured that would be the case.

Your ring announcer was Sarah Rose; your referees were Michael Crase & Nick Chinn.

Mike Outlaw vs. Christian Rose:  These are two competitors who I hope to see more of in 2018.  Outlaw has returned to taking other independent bookings; he's booked for Pro Wrestling Championship Series on January 6th and perhaps we'll see him under other banners in the near future.  As for Rose, he continues to establish himself as the opposite of a "people-pleaser" in the ring...he teased a 619 only to kick the middle rope upwards into Outlaw's throat.  It took more questionable tactics to secure the victory for Rose...he spit water in Outlaw's face and rolled him up with a handful of tights in 9:31.

Buddy Shepherd & "Takedown" Javy Torres vs. "The Heartthrob" Everett Connors & Rasheed Ali:  Connors(formerly Skyler Beckett) turned on Buddy and Javy at the previous O'Fallon show, setting up this grudge match.  Connors is using the theme music left behind by Five Direction(Chippy & C-Note) and portraying himself as a future pop star with Ali as his producer.  While most of the fan favorites and rulebreakers have aligned between St. Louis and Kansas City, Buddy is far more popular around this neck of the woods; he's aligned with less savory characters like Devlin on the other side of the state.  As the referee was checking on Javy and Ali on the floor, Connors begged off from Buddy only to kick him right in the little buddies; that allowed him to get the cheap pin in 9:26.

"The Mile-High Magnum" Dak(ota) Draper vs. Leonel Howlett:  Draper has become a fan favorite in recent weeks in Kansas City; he's presumably the lesser of two evils compared to the now-nefarious General Manager Matt Jackson and his allies.  Leonel Howlett has been traveling a bit more than his cousin Marco and has been gaining momentum in singles competition, including a big win over Jimmy Jacobs the previous Friday in Overland Park, Kansas.  On that night, Draper put his Kansas City Title on the line in a Royal Rumble-style battle royal, that led to his title reign coming to an end at the hands of new titleholder Jeremy Wyatt.  Draper has always been an entertaining character and the fans had no problem in getting behind him; he showed some of his technical acumen in the early minutes of this bout to get the better of his brawling opponent.  Leonel ripped on the fans, sarcastically joking that they only cared if the wrestlers were flipping around...hey, wait a minute...  Leonel gave the former champ a run for his money on this night, but Draper finally put him away with the Mile-High Doctor Bomb in 9:13.  Draper's going to be A Thing(tm) in the very near future, no doubt.

The Besties In The World("The Miracle Worker" Davey Vega & "The Dirty Rook" Mat Fitchett) vs. Jet Royal & Anthony "Sharkbait" Gutierrez:  This was three-fourths of one of the hottest tag team rivalries of NWL in the early part of the year; Jax Royal is still on the mend from a previous knee injury.  Jet has teamed with several different people in his brother's absence, including Fuego Del Sol and Blaine Meeks(now back to his old name of Bolt Brady).  This was a battle of fan favorites, but the partisan hometown crowd sided with the Besties for the most part.  While the Besties were interested in testing themselves against the mixed martial arts competitor, Sharkbait made them think twice about going toe-to-toe with him.  One of the best countermoves of the match saw Sharkbait counter Fitchett's attempt at a Last Ride powerbomb into a triangle hold!  Vega & Fitchett were more experienced as a tag team and that may have made the difference in this one...I had seen video of their "Total Taker" finisher but hadn't seen it in person until this night.  I'll do my best to describe it in text:  Fitchett lifted Sharkbait in position for a Tombstone, then Vega boosted Royal up onto Fitchett's shoulders from the front to put him in powerbomb position.  From there, Fitchett delivered a simultaneous Last Ride powerbomb on Royal and Tombstone on Sharkbait!  I'm still deciding whether that's the best thing or the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen...at any rate, Fitchett pinned Sharkbait for the win in 13:36 after that!

Intermission~!  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Coca-Cola and bottle of water.

Thor Theriot vs. Thomas Shire:  Shire had been on the shelf for a while due to injury; he's a regular at Texas-based Anarchy Championship Wrestling and worked for St. Louis Anarchy several times.  He reminds me of Jack Swagger in both look and style, though he threw in a few nods to Antonio Cesaro on this night as well.  Theriot's NWL career has been a roller coaster ride as he was elevated by his feud with Jeremy Wyatt, but he was unable to secure championship gold on either side of the state (challenging both Dak Draper and Maverick on different occasions).  While the Kansas City audiences have seen Thor's character development, St. Louis crowds are still warming up to him.  Despite the difference in size and power, Theriot was able to lift Shire onto his shoulders for the Ragnarok(fireman's-carry double-knee gutbuster) and the pin in 9:51.

Jack Foster vs. "The Raging Bull" Maverick(w/ Drew Gold):  This was a feud that was teased at the last Casa Loma show after Maverick won the St. Louis Title, but they hadn't crossed paths since that time.  The fight quickly spilled out of the ring and Gold checked on his protege...Foster charged at Maverick with IT'S THE BIG FOOT but leveled Gold by mistake!  The match ground to a halt as Gold was assisted from the ringside area, but Maverick finally went on the attack to pick things back up.  They had a good brawl and Foster appeared to be on the verge of victory, but Thomas Shire attacked Foster to cause the disqualification in 12:01.  I wasn't aware of any connection between Maverick/Gold and Shire, but I imagine Gold is the type to recruit some backup for his main charge...he and Maverick double-teamed Foster before finally taking their leave.

"Dominican Dynamite" Marti Belle vs. Savanna Stone vs. Carolina G.E. Rodriguez:  Carolina has scored some ill-begotten wins over Marti and Savanna in recent times.  Savanna came up short against Marti at the previous NWL show in O'Fallon, so she was still in search of her first NWL win.  Carolina was seemingly outnumbered with two fan favorites in the matchup, but she had the experience to duck out of harm's way and play the two against each other.  I'm personally burned out on multi-way matches, but they've become a regular part of wrestling shows so oh well.  The finish saw Savanna engineer a collision of her two opponents and roll up Carolina for the pin in 6:54...go Savanna!  Carolina went for some post-match retribution but Marti ran her off before congratulating Savanna on her victory...

"The Stiff Robo Ginger" Gary Jay vs. "The Monarch" Jeremy Wyatt, St. Louis Title vs. Kansas City Title:  Gary captured the title from Maverick last month and this was his first defense.  As previously noted, Wyatt won a Rumble-style battle royal in Overland Park the previous Friday to end Dak Draper's reign as K.C. Champ.  With NWL openly talking about renaming the St. Louis Championship, I was honestly wondering if they'd just call the St Louis region a wash and have Wyatt unify the belts in one weekend...I guess it was short-sighted to expect a title unification with near-zero build.  With all that aside, I knew this main event would be hard-hitting and intense; they'd crossed paths before, but never with stakes this high.  Notably Michael Strider and Ace Steel were not in the house and Carolina Rodriguez was not at ringside, so Wyatt was fighting on his own.

Wyatt focused his attack on Gary's hand after an errant chop on the floor struck the ringpost...ow.  They battled a lot outside the ring, nearly resulting in a double countout that thankfully did not come to pass.  As Gary rallied near the end of the match, Thomas Shire made another appearance to chat with the the referee...but he didn't distract him quite enough to cover for Maverick storming the ring to beat down Gary.  Gary won by DQ in 18:06, but the fight was far from over as it was three-on-one against the St. Louis Champion until the Besties In The World joined the fray.  Cue Leonel Howlett to un-even the odds once again...but then cue the returning Bolt Brady to side with the good guys!

After the match, Gary talked to the fans about the renaming of the championship...everyone agreed on it becoming the "Spirit Of NWL Championship" and it would be defended under Anarchy Rules from now on.  His first defense of the newly-rechristened title was this past weekend over Ace Steel with hopefully many more to come...

NWL's return date for O'Fallon, Missouri is Friday, January 19th...I believe I have a comedy show scheduled for that evening so I may not be able to make it.  Ak.  I'm just about to wrap up the year for my wrestling show attendance, but just one more show to write about as it stands right now...

That's my special comment for this, the sixty-fourth wrestling show I've attended in the year 2017.  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.

SICW Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about Saturday's Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling show at the Community Center in East Carondelet, Illinois.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm biased.  Deal with it.

The past month and a half haven't been kind to me health-wise, sorry to say.  Flu season has hit me hard and I have a toothache on top of that; I need to stop putting off a trip to the dentist in that regard.  It was another full weekend of wrestling with two shows as the year continues to wind down...attendance seems to be down a bit in East Carondelet, if the last couple of shows are any indication, but they tend to bounce back with relative ease.

Your ring announcer was Drew Abbenhaus; your referees were Nick Ridenour, Shaft, and Jay King.

A young man named Terrence sang the National Anthem to kick off the show, then promoter Herb Simmons spoke to the fans along with television commentator "The King Of Chaos" Ricky Cruz.  After that, Larry Matysik made his way to the timekeeper's table for his now-traditional call of the action.

"The Enforcer" Jimmy D vs. Waco:  I still have a hard time seeing Jimmy D as a good guy when he's such a natural rulebreaker.  This opener started off more technical than I would have expected, but Waco is actually fairly underrated in that department.  Nothing would be settled on this night as the two battled to a 10:00 time-limit draw.

Keith Smith Jr. vs. Shawn Santel(w/ Mauler McDarby):  I hadn't seen the Professionals in any capacity in quite some time, but I always appreciate seeing them in the ring; if SICW had Tag Team Titles, that duo would be a good fit for them.  I first saw Truth Martini trainee Santel in this very building about ten years ago, if I remember correctly.  Keith Jr.'s size is not to be underestimated, which I realized a few months ago when he was noticably the bigger of the two in a battle with The Big Texan.  Santel had a big experience edge, as well as the outside help of McDarby, but Keith Jr. scored the victory on this night with a fireman's-carry double-knee gutbuster(a la Roderick Strong) in 7:40.

Santa Claus paid a visit to give candy gifts to the fans...he seems to get booked for a lot of appearances around this time of year.  It seemed like this was the cue for intermission, but we had one more match before that.

"The Wrestling Machine" Dave Vaughn vs. Flaming Freddie Fury:  Fury brought a Santa-themed mask along with his usual garb, kindly requesting that referee Jay King wear it for the contest; I felt like this indicated some level of biased officiating, but Jay called it right down the middle as usual.  Vaughn had little time for Fury's usual shenanigans, winning in short order with the double-underhook DDT in 3:33.

Intermission~!  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Three bottles of water and a soft pretzel.

Herb brought out manager Travis Cook in an attempt to coax some holiday spirit out of him.  Travis was in a bad mood as neither of his proteges("The Icon" Chris Hargas and "Superstar" Steve Fender) were in attendance for the night.  Travis is still protesting the sleeperhold in the best-of-three-falls match between Ken Kasa and Hargas, claiming Hargas should have won teh match at that moment...despite Herb's best efforts, Cook trashed the fans before departing.  I imagine his mind was elsewhere with a lot of Roy Moore campaign work on his agenda...

"Night Train/Gorgeous/Great One" Gary Jackson & Moondog Rover vs. The Big Texan & Mauler McDarby:  Gary Jackson Fashion Watch(tm) for the night:  Red Christmas hat with winter earflaps, plus black ring coat and red trunks.  Some interpromotional bad blood spilled over to the east side of the river as Moondog had used underhanded tactics to retain the Mid-Missouri Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Title against Texan the previous weekend.  While Jackson and Moondog have been colleagues for years, the makeshift duo on the other side of the ring wasn't quite on the same page; it was odd for Santel and McDarby to be separated in such a manner, but such is life.  I wouldn't mind seeing Jackson and McDarby have a singles bout down the line and I suspect that may be in the cards.  Jackson small-packaged McDarby for the win in 12:04 as Moondog and Texan brawled on the floor...the end of the match barely registered with the two big guys as their partners had to join the referees and ringside security to separate them.

Bobby D vs. "Big Country" Clint Poe(w/ Big Daddy):  Poe went to the Dark Side of The Force in Swansea; he joined his longtime tag partner Cowboy Marc Houston in a two-on-one assault on Classic Champion Ken Kasa.  In doing so, he came under the advisement of the veteran manager, though Big Daddy seemed more interested in chatting up ringsiders on this evening.  While Bobby D is usually game for a good fight, he was overpowered here as Poe controlled most of the bout; Poe won after two running powerslams in 6:49.  Drew got a post-match interview, during which Poe claimed to have received little respect and few opportunities in SICW by being a "nice guy"...so things had to change.

Flash Flanagan vs. Cowboy Marc Houston(w/ Big Daddy):  These two have crossed paths a few times in the past year, including the Classic Title tournament in which Flash pinned Houston to advance to the finals.  Both were looking to move forward into title contention, but a decisive result would not happen on this night as Clint Poe interfered for the DQ in 9:18.  Ken Kasa made the save and the challenge was made for a tag match at the first show of the year(January 20th); promoter Herb Simmons took the match suggestion under advisement pending the outcome of this night's main event.

Intermission numero dos~!  No soda on this night, at any rate, and I wasn't feeling up to a post-show food run...

"Ironman" Ken Kasa vs. "Volatile" Curtis Wylde(w/ Wyldefyre) for the Classic Title:  Wylde has been outspoken for his entire career, but particularly in SICW where he feels he should have been in main events and championship opportunities all along.  While he made it far into the Classic Title tournament earlier this year, this was his first ever shot at the SICW gold; he was up against the two-time titleholder and the man who had the longest title reign in the promotion's history, Ken Kasa.  Kasa outwrestled Wylde in the early stages of the contest, but Wyldefyre's distraction allowed her man to deliver a flying roundhouse kick(shades of Kofi Kingston's Trouble In Paradise).  Kasa made the comeback and Wyldefyre tried to intervene again, but it backfired as Kasa boosted her up onto her man, then pushed her downward to force her into a Frankensteiner!  Wylde managed to hit the Wylde Ride(Flatliner) out of nowhere for a close near-fall...but when Wyldefyre attempted to interfere with her loaded(?) purse, Kasa turned the tables and Wylde was hit with the weapon instead!  That was enough for Kasa to score the pinfall in 14:39, retaining his title once again!  Wylde was irate over the loss and vented to the fans before storming out of the ring to close the show...

Tomorrow night is Dynamo Pro's final show of the year at Concordia Turners Gymnasium in St. Louis, Missouri.  Several of the promotion's younger competitors will have a chance to shine, including the debuting Tootie Lynn Ramsey as she faces Savanna Stone.  Newcomers Ricky Rodriguez and Tony Esteem will go one-on-one, plus Heavyweight Champion Makaze will team with Jaden Roller against Brandon Aarons and Adrian Surge.  I will most likely be on commentary alongside Luke Roberts...hope to see you there!

Of course I still have another show from LAST weekend to write about...that's another story for another time so tune in next time:  Same Pat-Time, Same Pat-Channel.

That's my special comment for this, the sixty-third wrestling show I've attended in the year 2017.  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.
