This show was dedicated to the entirety of the six-man tag from the last East Carondelet show...Larry Matysik informed us that Danny Boy Hawkins is re-retiring due to the back issues that forced him to the sidelines previously. We're also told that Ted DiBiase will be at the next East Carondelet show on June 18th...woo.
Dory Funk Jr., Gary Jackson, & Chaz Wesson vs. Classic Champion Ron Powers, Kevin X, & Sean Vincent in a best-of-three-falls match: The heels triple-teamed Chaz into oblivion and destroyed his leg. That led to a surprising first fall for the heels as Vincent forced Wesson to tap out to the figure-four leglock(with Powers providing an illegal assist from outside the ring).
Funk huddled with his partners before the second fall and Chaz was able to keep his opponents away from the leg for the most part. Vincent got to the leg again and attempted the figure-four once again, but Wesson kicked him away. Sean gave it one more try and Chaz small-packaged him to win the second fall and even the score.
Chaos broke loose in the third fall as everyone fought in and around the ring...Funk was able to engineer a collision between Powers and Vincent, then rolled up Powers for the deciding three-count.
