Made a point to try out a lot of new material...seemed like a theme for the evening. It's good to get the new jokes "on the table"...you can word it out, gauge the audience reaction, and get feedback from the other comedians. I practiced a bit earlier in the day and that may have helped...need to do that more often. Don't write too many topical jokes, but my Casey Anthony joke worked out well so I hope I get some mileage out of it while it's still topical. Will probably check out one of the weekend shows at Etc. with Dan Chopin.
