Saturday PWCS Results From Alton, IL + Other Show Results

-Starting scoreboard:  Ego Busters 3-0, Blacklist 2-1, Submission Squad 1-2, Resurgence 0-3.
-"The Warhorse" Jake Parnell(Resurgence) d. Brandon Espinosa(Submission Squad) after a double-stomp to the back off the second rope (7:30).  Everett Connors said that Gary Jay and Evan Gelistico were on vacation and he had dismissed Austin Blackburn from the stable, so he had brought in Espinosa as a substitute.  (Resurgence 1-3, Submission Squad 1-3)
-"Lights Out" Adrian Surge(w/ Greg Jovi)(Ego Busters) d. "The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze(Blacklist) after Jovi caused multiple distractions, leading to Surge getting the rollup pin in the corner with feet on the ropes (11:19).  (Ego Busters 4-0, Blacklist 2-2)
-"The Dirty Rook" Mat Fitchett(Resurgence) d. Darin Corbin(Submission Squad) after a top-rope Frankensteiner and flying knee strike (11:51).  (Resurgence 2-3, Submission Squad 1-4)  After the match, Fitchett received the Missouri Wrestling Revival Future Star award from Sarah Rose...he said he could talk about a lot of things with a live microphone, but he opted to call out Gateway Heritage Champion Davey Vega.  He got manager Greg Jovi, who said that while Vega still valued their friendship on some level, he(Jovi) knew you couldn't have friends in this business.  Jovi said that Fitchett would NEVER get his hands on the PWCS Championship trophy again...but Fitchett rushed Jovi and grabbed the trophy right out of his hands!
-Everett Connors(Submission Squad) d. Paco Gonzalez(Resurgence); Paco survived the Bieber Driver(hanging piledriver) and Connors survived Paco's frog splash.  Connors finally won a hard-fought battle with a torture-rack Diamond Cutter (18:29).  (Submission Squad 2-4, Resurgence 2-4)  Afterwards, the two surprisingly shook hands...but then "The Millenial" Danny Adams attacked Paco with a chair before laying out Connors with the fisherman driver.
-"The Dad Bod" Sean Orleans d. "The Incredible Primal Prodigy" Matt Kenway (Look At Him After Dark)(Submission Squad); Adrian Surge distracted the referee and slid a chair into the ring, but Kenway's swing backfired as it ricocheted off the top rope into his face.  Orleans capitalized with an Emerald Flowsion for the win (9:07); with the victory, Orleans took Kenway's place in the Submission Squad stable.
-"The Millenial" Danny Adams(w/ Greg Jovi)(Ego Busters) d. "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon(Blacklist); Jovi and Adrian Surge caused a distraction on the floor and Davey Vega ran in to deliver a low blow on Cannon, allowing Adams to get the cheap win (14:31).  (Ego Busters 5-0, Blacklist 2-3)
-Aaron Dzinic won a four-corner match with "The Iron Demon" Shane Mercer, Chris Mac, and "The Unholy Father" Richard Faith when he pinned Faith after a Penalty Kick (6:38).
-"The Miracle Worker" Davey Vega(w/ Greg Jovi)(Ego Busters) d. "The Wildman From The Ozarks" Alexandre Rudolph to retain the Gateway Heritage Title.  Vega survived several huge power moves from Rudolph, but the big man went to the top rope and Vega cut him off, delivering a double-stomp with Rudolph hung up in the Tree Of Woe.  Vega finished with a buzzsaw kick (11:23).  (Ego Busters 6-0, Blacklist 2-4)
-Final scoreboard:  Ego Busters 6-0, Blacklist/Ego Busters/Submission Squad 2-4.
-The show closed with the announcement that Vega would defend his title against Gary Jay at the next PWCS show in August!

Saturday MMWA results from St. Louis, MO:

-Ring announcers:  Ben Simon & Drew Abbenhaus.  Referees:  Jay King & Nick Ridenour.
-Heavyweight Title Tournament:  Moondog Rover d. Barackus via schoolboy trip and rollup after Barackus missed an avalanche (9:19); "2.0" Da'Marius Jones watched the match from ringside.  Barackus attacked Moondog after the match with a post-match Baldo Bomb and a frog splash off the second rope.  Jones entered the ring to put the boots to Moondog after Barackus had left.  (It was later announced that Barackus was suspended for his actions.)
-The Big Texan d. Flaming Freddie Fury with the double-underhook powerbomb (7:28).
-"Night Train/Gorgeous/Great One" Gary Jackson & "Da Bomb" Brian James d. Cruiserweight Champion Deacon Cash & Damion Cortess when James pinned Cortess after the sitout gourdbuster (9:30).
-Heavyweight Title Tournament:  "The" Ace Hawkins d. J-Mal Swagg after hitting him with a police baton (5:03); MWR Missouri Champion Brandon Espinosa watched the match from ringside.
-Heavyweight Title Tournament:  Moondog Rover d. "2.0" Da'Marius Jones(w/ B.T. Daramola) when Jones and B.T. got into an argument that led to B.T. giving Jones a low blow behind the referee's back; Moondog finished with the World's Strongest Slam (5:43).  B.T. beat down Moondog with his own bone after the bell and then laid out Jones with the bone as well.
-Before the scheduled Espinosa-Hawkins semifinal, Commissioner Jim Harris announced that J-Mal Swagg would be added to the match due to Hawkins' earlier cheating.
-Heavyweight Title Tournament:  "The" Ace Hawkins won a triple threat match with MWR Missouri Champion Brandon Espinosa and J-Mal Swagg when he stole the pin on Swagg after Espy's brainbuster (11:12).  After the match, Jim Harris informed Hawkins that the tournament final would take place at the next show on July 8th (due to Moondog's injuries).
-Khayman(w/ Abigail) d. "The Enforcer" Jimmy D with a flying Codebreaker off the top rope (6:53).
-Frodo "The Ghost" Meyer d. Johnny Park with a sunset flip (4:38); Cruiserweight Champion Deacon Cash watched the match from ringside.

Saturday NWL results from Kansas City, MO:

-The Howletts(Marco & Leonel) d. "Lockdown" Ray Briggs & Gil Rogers(w/ Roscoe Leech); Rogers had Marco in an O'Connor Roll, but Leonel pump-kicked Rogers and Marco reversed into his own pinning combination with a handful of tights (7:14).
-"High On Life" Ken Dharma d. "The Austrian Horse" Hans Ruger; Dharma accidentally superkicked the referee and there was no one to count after Ruger hit the Alpine Drop(Razor's Edge); Dharma hit Ruger in the throat with a kendo stick, then got the rollup pin with feet on the ropes (7:40).
-I-70 Series: Jack Foster d. Max Edwards via chokeslam (6:38). (Kansas City 13, St. Louis 10)
-"Captain K.C." Blaine Meeks d. Scott Slade with the cape-assisted cross-bodyblock off the top rope (8:03).  Kansas City Champion "The Mile-High Magnum" Dak(ota) Draper's entrance music played, but it was a feint as Ken Dharma attacked Meeks from behind with the kendo stick.
-"The Mile-High Magnum" Dak(ota) Draper d. Beautiful Bobby Dean with the Mile-High Doctor Bomb to retain the Kansas City Title (2:36).
-I-70 Series:  St. Louis Champion "The Raging Bull" Maverick & Dez Wellston d. The Royal Blood(Jet & Jax Royal) when Maverick pinned Jet after the Sure Shot(Gory Bomb) (15:03).  (Kansas City 13, St. Louis 11)
-Anthony "Sharkbait" Gutierrez d. Brandon Osborn with a triangle hold (3:11).
-Thor Theriot d. "The Monarch" Jeremy Wyatt in a best-of-three-falls match.  Thor won the first fall with the Ragnarok(fireman's-carry double-knee gutbuster) (1:03).  Wyatt won the second fall after the Coronation(piledriver) (9:39).  Thor won the final fall after hitting two Ragnaroks in a row (26:13).
