Saturday CHWA Results From Edwardsville, IL

-Ring announcer:  Dilly.  Referees:  Steven Hopple, Jeremy Smith, & Aron Lawrence.
-Kenneth Collins d. "The Anomaly" I.P. Mason after the spinning elbowsmash to retain the International Title (6:13).
-The Dragon's Guild(Heavyweight Champion "The Shoeserweight" Chris Exodus, "The One-Man Zoo" L-Ride, & Angelo Grimsley)(w/ Raziel) d. The Arch City Mercenaries(Jackal, Tony Esteem, & Jimmy LaFleur) to win the Tag Team Titles; L-Ride pinned Jackal after he and Grimsley hit a reverse neckbreaker/top-rope double-stomp combo (7:33).
-"The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze called out Dilly for getting involved in his business last month; Makaze's provokation led to Dilly attempting to fight him, but Makaze beat him down as several rulebreakers held the Dragon's Guild back from helping.  Makaze finished by throwing Dilly into a table in the corner; Makaze was confronted by Madi Monarch afterwards, but "Parasyte" Tyler Black backed him up until "The Queen Of Lariats" Ashlyn Alexander arrived to even the numbers.  Angelo Grimsley took over as ring announcer at this point.
-D.N.X.(David X & Noah X)(w/ Logan Simmons) d. Isaiah "The Enforcer" Markel & Igor The Mad Russian when Noah pinned Igor after a corner flying boot (8:09).
-Drew Karter d. Alister Crow by DQ when Crow hit Karter with handcuffs in full view of the referee (11:05).  Crow was in no mood to accept the decision and decked the referee, then pulled the ref's son out of the audience and handcuffed him to the ropes, forcing him to watch as he beat down the official with a chair.  Karter attempted to stop Crow but took a beating as well; finally Isaiah "The Enforcer" Markel & Igor The Mad Russian arrived to run off Crow.
-Posthuman Mazoku d. Shawn Blaze after a shooting star press off the middle rope (8:28).
-"The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze & "Parasyte" Tyler Blake d. The Buff & The Brave("The Queen Of Lariats" Ashlyn Alexander & Madi Monarch) when Makaze pinned Ashlyn after Parasyte's standing Sliced Bread #2 (13:20).
-The Warriors("The Native Nightmare" Jeremy Lightfoot & Cousin Waylon Phoenix)(w/ Austin Lightfoot) d. The Snitch & 5* Jesse Jay; Waylon pinned Jay after he and Lightfoot hit a sitout spinebuster/second-rope clothesline combo (10:54).  Snitch turned on Jay after the match until being confronted by Austin Lightfoot; once Jeremy Lightfoot & Waylon re-entered the ring, Snitch backed off.
-"Big Vik" Viktor Von Stein d. "The Third-Generation Monster" Damien Blackwell(w/ Halo) in a dog collar match.  Vik brought a sledgehammer into the ring and Halo attempted to stop him from using it, but the resulting tug-of-war led to Halo accidentally pulling the hammer into Damien's face.  Halo did everything she could to stall Vik, including repeated slaps to the face, but she paid for it as Vik dropped her with a front powerslam.  Vik finally tagged all four turnbuckles to secure the victory (14:17).
-Tag Team Champion "The Shoeserweight" Chris Exodus d. "The Unstoppable" Tommy Davis via crossed-leg jackknife cradle to retain the Heavyweight Title (27:02).
-NOTES:  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Cheeseburger, fries, and a Coca-Cola.  Tony Esteem's planned retirement had to be postponed by a month.  I was concerned that they would run out of personnel after ring announcer Dilly and referee Aron Lawrence were beaten down.  Ceiling tile disruption count was at two from a double suplex in the Tag Title match and Mazoku's shooting star press.  The feud between Damien Blackwell and Big Vik keeps getting more personal with Halo getting more involved.  The main event kicked ass, as expected, though the fans were kinda quiet at times.  Over the past year and a half or so, I've seen this promotion grow and improve and it's been cool to witness...I suppose that's my cue to mention that I will be joining the commentary team for CHWA starting next month.  Been a while since I've called the action, hope I still remember how to do this...
