-"The Deliverer" Moses Powell & "The Big Strong Boy" Ethan Price d. Culture Shock("The Canadian Trapper" Caleb J. Cartier & "The Flower Child" Oli Summers); Price seemed to want to fight on his own to make up for last month's tag team loss, leaving Moses with little choice but to tag himself into the fray.  Price blind-tagged back into the match, but Moses immediately made his own blind tag as the match broke down into a brawl.  Price hit C.J.C. with an exploder and covered, but Moses was legal and had to push his own partner aside to make the legal pin cover (4:14).  Price took exception and shoved his own partner aside on the way out of the ring.

-"Heavyweight Hustle" Calvin Tankman(w/ Cinko) d. "Big Flexy" Xavier Walker to retain the Crown Of Glory Title.  The referee was knocked down and unable to make the pin count after Walker decked Tankman with the knockout punch.  That brought out Rahim De La Suede and Mason St. Goods to attack Walker, but Walker was able to temporarily fight them off and deliver a massive chokeslam to Tankman for a near-fall.  Cinko's crew finally interfered once too often and were ejected from ringside, but that gave Tankman the opportunity to hit Walker with the title belt for his own close two-count.  Walker finally delivered a second knockout punch but Tankman fell out of the ring; when Walker put the champion back inside the ropes, Dak Draper ran out to attack his former tag team partner and ran him into the ringpost.  That gave Tankman the opportunity to finish with the Screwdriver(vertical suplex-into-sitout Tombstone) (19:40).
-NOTES:  I hadn't been to a show inside the Casa Loma Ballroom since the days of the National Wrasslin' League.  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Two Coca-Colas and a chopped cheese sandwich(kind of a cross between a cheesebuger and a hoagie).  The show had a really good turnout and I wonder if Glory Pro could run at this venue on a regular basis.  Dan The Dad carried his title belt in a baby carrier, which was tremendous.  The slow turn of Ethan Price to the Dark Side continues.  So many matches hit really well in my opinion; Kenny Alfonso was long overdue for a big win and finally got one.  Mike Outlaw's crew(in some combination) is positioned nicely for a shot at the United Glory Tag Titles.  Warhorse and Something will have to meet again in some sort of even crazier environment.  Fenix appeared to tweak his ankle at one point but seemed to be okay by the end of the bout, hope he'll be fine; sadly I didn't get an opportunity to get a picture with him.  There was plenty on this card for the fans of Big Meaty Men Slapping Meat(tm Big E Langston).  The fans were either tired or just a bit told on the Tootie-Vertvixen match, not that it was bad; I think Tootie could use a new feud soon.  The crowd was red hot for the main event and I legit wondered if they might pull the trigger on another title change; it wouldn't have been unprecedented as Jason Kincaid was the first Crown Of Glory Champion and lost it to Myron Reed in his first defense.  Hopefully Big Flexy's time to come eventually.

ADDED FRIDAY NOTES:  I was super tired, under the weather, and the building was hot that evening so I didn't add comments at the time.  The card underwent some last minute changes with Davey Vega and Nikki Victory out, plus Brogan Finlay being ill; Dingo vs. Vega has been rescheduled for the October show which already has the massive main event of Gary Jay vs. Japanese wrestling legend and former ECW Heavyweight Champion Masato Tanaka.  Unfortunately Dingo reportedly suffered an injury near the end of his match with Christian Rose; hopefully he'll be good to go for October but only time will tell.  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm) for Friday:  Hot dog, Mountain Drew, bottle of water.  Still searching for the identify of the new referee.  Saw a few new faces in the pre-show six-way match; Li'l Evil is NOT the son of local wrestler Wicked who went by that nickname, but a Latino competitor from Texas.  Manders vs. Connelly has been an intense series of bouts and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of them.  It was good to hear from Evan Gelistico after his health care...I have to imagine that his in-ring career will be drastically scaled back, but never say never.  I'm glad to see Madi and Ashlyn get some traction in different companies, they've put in the work and deserve the spots they're getting.  I legit thought it was a first-time meeting between Gary Jay and Mike Outlaw but apparently they crossed paths back in PWCS (checking the archives, I was definitely at that show too...see, the "encyclopediac knowledge" doesn't have all the pages, LOL).  The weekend featured two anticipated title matches and in both of them, yon overbooking torpedoes were duly launched...or something.

Saturday CHWA Results From Edwardsville, IL

-Ring announcer:  Dilly.  Referees:  Steven Hopple, Jeremy Smith, & Aron Lawrence.
-Kenneth Collins d. "The Anomaly" I.P. Mason after the spinning elbowsmash to retain the International Title (6:13).
-The Dragon's Guild(Heavyweight Champion "The Shoeserweight" Chris Exodus, "The One-Man Zoo" L-Ride, & Angelo Grimsley)(w/ Raziel) d. The Arch City Mercenaries(Jackal, Tony Esteem, & Jimmy LaFleur) to win the Tag Team Titles; L-Ride pinned Jackal after he and Grimsley hit a reverse neckbreaker/top-rope double-stomp combo (7:33).
-"The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze called out Dilly for getting involved in his business last month; Makaze's provokation led to Dilly attempting to fight him, but Makaze beat him down as several rulebreakers held the Dragon's Guild back from helping.  Makaze finished by throwing Dilly into a table in the corner; Makaze was confronted by Madi Monarch afterwards, but "Parasyte" Tyler Black backed him up until "The Queen Of Lariats" Ashlyn Alexander arrived to even the numbers.  Angelo Grimsley took over as ring announcer at this point.
-D.N.X.(David X & Noah X)(w/ Logan Simmons) d. Isaiah "The Enforcer" Markel & Igor The Mad Russian when Noah pinned Igor after a corner flying boot (8:09).
-Drew Karter d. Alister Crow by DQ when Crow hit Karter with handcuffs in full view of the referee (11:05).  Crow was in no mood to accept the decision and decked the referee, then pulled the ref's son out of the audience and handcuffed him to the ropes, forcing him to watch as he beat down the official with a chair.  Karter attempted to stop Crow but took a beating as well; finally Isaiah "The Enforcer" Markel & Igor The Mad Russian arrived to run off Crow.
-Posthuman Mazoku d. Shawn Blaze after a shooting star press off the middle rope (8:28).
-"The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze & "Parasyte" Tyler Blake d. The Buff & The Brave("The Queen Of Lariats" Ashlyn Alexander & Madi Monarch) when Makaze pinned Ashlyn after Parasyte's standing Sliced Bread #2 (13:20).

-"Big Vik" Viktor Von Stein d. "The Third-Generation Monster" Damien Blackwell(w/ Halo) in a dog collar match.  Vik brought a sledgehammer into the ring and Halo attempted to stop him from using it, but the resulting tug-of-war led to Halo accidentally pulling the hammer into Damien's face.  Halo did everything she could to stall Vik, including repeated slaps to the face, but she paid for it as Vik dropped her with a front powerslam.  Vik finally tagged all four turnbuckles to secure the victory (14:17).
-Tag Team Champion "The Shoeserweight" Chris Exodus d. "The Unstoppable" Tommy Davis via crossed-leg jackknife cradle to retain the Heavyweight Title (27:02).
-NOTES:  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Cheeseburger, fries, and a Coca-Cola.  Tony Esteem's planned retirement had to be postponed by a month.  I was concerned that they would run out of personnel after ring announcer Dilly and referee Aron Lawrence were beaten down.  Ceiling tile disruption count was at two from a double suplex in the Tag Title match and Mazoku's shooting star press.  The feud between Damien Blackwell and Big Vik keeps getting more personal with Halo getting more involved.  The main event kicked ass, as expected, though the fans were kinda quiet at times.  Over the past year and a half or so, I've seen this promotion grow and improve and it's been cool to witness...I suppose that's my cue to mention that I will be joining the commentary team for CHWA starting next month.  Been a while since I've called the action, hope I still remember how to do this...
