-Commentators: Rich Brennan, Byron Saxton, & Corey Graves.
-Asuka Urai d. Cameron Lynn with the Asuka Lock(crossface chicken wing) (3:43).
-Backstage: Tom Phillips interviewed Carmella Van Damme about the condition of Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady...Cassady's knee is in bad shape, but Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder were quick to gloat over the results of their actions. They made a statement and they get their shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles on next week's show against The Vaudevillains. Dawson & Wilder brought in a wheelchair as a "parting gift" for the champs...they'll need it.
-Earlier today: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable felt like they earned some respect, but they still Want Da Belts. Gable wanted to refer to them as the "world's greatest tag team", but Jordan warned him away from that monicker. Jordan suggested they challenge the best tag team in NXT history: The Ascension(Konnor O'Brian & Rick Viktor). Gable made the challenge and said they would use them as a stepping stone to "ascend" to the Tag Titles...see what he did there?
-Bull Dempsey d. Angelo Dawkins(w/ Sawyer Fulton) with the Whoopee Cushion (2:54). Fulton was disgusted by his partner's performance and walked away from him.
-Backstage: Phillips interviewed NXT Tag Team Champions The Vaudevillains("The Artiste" Aiden English & Simon Gotch) about next week's title defense against Dawson & Wilder. Those guys are no gentlemen...and they have no use for that wheelchair.
-Backstage: Phillips interviewed NXT Women's Champion Bayley Rose about Alexa Bliss' challenge for a six-person mixed tag match against herself, Wesley Blake, & Buddy Murphy. She found her partners: The Hype Bros(Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley).
-Eva Marie d. Marley Daddio via sliding low-altitude Flatliner (2:43).
-Backstage: Phillips interviewed Emma Tayla & Dana Brooke about Asuka Urai. They claimed to have the utmost respect for Asuka, but they felt like she was a bit patronizing toward them...so Emma will have to give her a proper welcome to NXT.
-Finn Bálor vs. Apollo Crews for the NXT Title ended in a no-contest when Baron Corbin interfered (8:11 aired). Corbin laid out Crews before turning his attention to Bálor...Samoa Joe finally ran off Corbin, but then attacked Bálor himself! Joe dropped Bálor with the muscle buster before leaving the title belt on his fallen victim...ladies and gentlemen, we have a heel turn.

Comedy Parts 619-620: Hump Day Two-Fer
Location: Valley Park Funny Bone
Emcee: Joe Murray
After: Ben Johnson
Before: Kyle Kordsmeier
Location: Crow's Nest
Emcees: J.C. Sibala & Chris Cyr
After: Stryker Spurlock
Before: Shaun Arredondo
Attendance at both shows wasn't the best, so it may not have been the best evening to test-run a new joke. Despite that, I got it out on the table and now know that it needs more work, so that's progress. Also got the gears turning on another joke...hopefully I can give that another run-through in the near future.
Wild Card Comedy is a unique experience and gives comedians an opportunity to deal with situations on the fly, so I consider it an interesting challenge. I drew the card for "Get Lifted", which meant that I had to do one of my jokes in the "style" of another comedian. I wasn't familiar enough with the more famous options, so I went with St. Louisan Keith Cissell for my example...it seemed to go well enough. My second card was "Footloose", meaning I had to do a dance move after each joke. I did the only dance move I know: The robot. At any rate, it was a fun evening...tomorrow night, I'll be hosting at Hey Guys Comedy for Denise Ramsden(and, as it turns out, J.C. will be featuring). After that, I will hopefully have enough energy to check out the Fitz's show...woo.

Location: Heavy Anchor
Emcee: Chad Wallace
After: Jim "The Dad" Keith
Before: J.C. Sibala
Drove past the Bevo Mill on Gravois on the way to the show...my great-grandparents used to live in that neighborhood. I went to Heavy Anchor once before as they were showing both Wayne's World movies (excellent); however, this was my first time performing comedy at the venue. I went up fairly early in the show, which was good as the audience was still energetic; I had a really strong set and the newer material went over well. Since I'm on a vacation from work, I'm hoping to get to more open-mics than usual this week. Current plans: Westport Funny Bone tomorrow night, Valley Park Funny Bone and Wildcard Comedy on Wednesday night, hosting at Hey Guys Comedy for Denise Ramsden on Thursday night, and maybe Fitz's after that show. One of these days, I'll learn to take it easy...riiiiight.
