TNA Knockouts Knockdown
-Lei'D Tapa d. Ivelisse Velez by countering a guillotine lock into a sitout uranagi.
-Tara Varon(w/ Jessie Godderz) d. Mia Yim via Widow's Peak.
-Brooke Tessmacher d. Santana Garrett with the atomic facebuster.
-O.D.B. d. Trinity after the BAM(TKO).
-Jacquelyn Moore d. Taryn Terrell after a low-altitude dropkick on a seated Taryn.
-Hannah Blossom won a triple threat match with Sojourner Bolt and Taeler Hendrix when she pinned Taeler after a Brogue Kick.
-Velvet Sky d. Jillian Hall with the In Yo' Face(sitout Pedigree).
-Mickie James d. Serena Deeb after the jumping DDT.
-Gauntlet For The Gold: Hannah Blossom and Gail Kim started with Gail eliminating Hannah. Lei'D Tapa and Tara Varon were out next followed by Mickie James. Mickie eliminated Tapa, then Brooke Tessmacher, Jacquelyn Moore, O.D.B., and Velvet Sky entered. Tessmacher got Jacquelyn out, Sky eliminated O.D.B., Gail threw out Velvet, Tara eliminated Tessmacher, and Mickie kicked Tara out. Gail rolled up Mickie for the final pin and the win; Madison Rayne presented Gail with the crown.
Friday DPW Results From Glen Carbon, IL
-Manager Travis Cook protested the previous decision reversal in Ken Kasa & Dave Vaughn's Tag Team Title shot at The Bumrush Brothers, but was confronted by Dynamo's new authority figure Mark Bland. Bland said he wouldn't hand the belts over to Cook's organization but he did authorize a rematch for the titles.
-Jack Adonis & Mike Sharona(w/ Nikki Strychnine) d. Adam Raw & Dice(w/ Steven Kennedy). Adonis & Sharona came out in costumes to make fun of K.C. Karrington and Raw but Nikki didn't see the humor in the situation. Strychnine chased off the referee and the bout turned into an impromptu no-DQ brawl; the four fought all around the ring and chairs were used as weapons on many occasions. In the end, Adonis held Dice for Sharona's frog splash, then turned him over into the Alaskan Cloverleaf for the tapout.
-Jake Dirden d. MsChif with the Asiatic Spike in an impromptu matchup; Dirden was upset about being barred from ringside for the main event and said no one was MAN enough to challenge him.
-Nikki Strychnine vs. K.C. Karrington(w/ Greg Jovi) never officially started; Karrington entered on crutches and claimed an injury before throwing his manager to the proverbial wolves. K.C. ran back out to try a cheapshot but begged off when Nikki caught him in the act; Adonis & Sharona stopped him in the aisle so he jumped the guardrail to get away. Jovi took more abuse from Strychnine before the Ayatollah Of Ebola finally took his leave.
-Dingo d. Billy McNeil with the Dingo Driver v2.0(hooking Billy's leg over Dingo's own head to deliver the move). Afterwards, Dingo said he was looking to reclaim his rightful spot as champion...
-Ken Kasa & Dave Vaughn(w/ Travis Cook) d. Tag Team Champions The Bumrush Brothers(Shorty Biggs & Outtkast) by DQ. Cook interfered and Mark Bland personally ejected him from ringside. Chaos ensued as all four men fought and Kasa brought in one of the title belts. However, Outtkast got it away from him and hit Vaughn with it just in time for the referee to turn around and see the action. The belts did not change hands due to the disqualification.
-Dan Walsh d. Ricky Cruz after the second Paydirt of the match to retain the Heavyweight Title. Afterwards, Jake Dirden attacked Walsh until Dingo hit the ring with a chair. Dirden backed off and Dingo handed Walsh his title belt...but took his time letting go of the gold. Walsh took that as a challenge...next month will be Walsh-Dingo for the title!
XPlosion + Impact
-Commentators: Mike Tenay & Jeremy Borash.
-Bound For Glory Series: Frankie Kazarian d. Shawn Hernandez via rollup with a handful of tights.
TNA Impact
-Commentators: Mike Tenay & Taz.
-Mike Knux(w/ Bully Ray & Brooke Tessmacher) d. Chris Sabin by DQ when Sabin hit Knux with the hammer that Ray had thrown into the ring.
-Bound For Glory Series Rumble-Style Battle Royal(20 Points): Shawn Hernandez and Jay Bradley started the match, followed by Joseph Park, Ken Anderson, Samoa Joe, and A.J. Styles. Styles quickly clotheslined Park to the floor. Frankie Kazarian(#7) entered next; Joe sent Anderson floorward with an enzuigiri. Christopher Daniels was #8 and joined forces with Kazarian to eliminate Hernandez. Jeff Hardy was #9 and Bobby Roode was #10, then A.J. ended Bradley's run by throwing him to the floor from the apron. Austin Aries(#11) and Brutus Magnus rounded out the participants. Daniels & Kazarian teamed up again to eliminate Joe. Roode threw out Hardy, Styles tossed Kazarian, Daniels eliminated Magnus. Styles sent Aries to the floor, then threw out Roode before clotheslining Daniels to the floor for the win.
-Wes Brisco & Garett Bischoff d. Tag Team Champions James Storm & Phil Gunner(non-title) when Garett pinned Gunner after knocking him out with a chain behind the referee's back.
-Sting d. Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray(w/ Brooke Tessmacher) in a non-title no-DQ match. Hulk Hogan banned Tito Ortiz from ringside and the Main Event Mafia would later fight off interference by the Aces & Eights. Ken Anderson teased passing in the hammer, but instead threw it away and Ray had to tap out to the Scorpion Deathlock.

Midweek wrestling
-Commentators: Josh Mathews & Alex Riley.
-Johnny Fandango(w/ Summer Rae) d. Justin Gabriel after the guillotine legdrop.
-"R-Truth" Ron Killings d. Damien Sandow with the Lie Detector(Paydirt).
-The Wyatt Family(Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) d. The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) when Harper pinned Young after the discus lariat.
WWE NXT
Commentators: Tom Phillips & Alex Riley. Ring announcer: Byron Saxton.
Charlotte Flair & Bayley Rose vs. Alicia Fox & Aksana Raudoniene: It's the new gals against the main-roster mainstays. Phillips notes that Bayley lost to Alicia in the Women's Title tournament and was also the opponent in Charlotte's NXT debut. The heels take advantage of her naive nature in short order...Bayley finally gets to hug someone(Aksana) but turns it into a belly-to-belly suplex. Hot tag to Charlotte but Alicia stops her in short order, then Bayley tags herself back into the bout. Alicia tries to isolate Bayley again, but a corner boot hits Aksana by mistake and Bayley rolls up Alicia for the upset win!
Backstage: Sylvester Lefort introduces Scott Dawson to his new stablemate Alexander Rusev...after Rusev wins tonight, they'll make some money and go to Sizzler(Dawson's favorite!).
Tag Team Champion Corey Graves(w/ Adrian Neville) vs. Rick Victor(w/ Conor O'Brian): Victor has Graves' title belt which he stole after last week's beatdown...and Corey wastes no time in shifting to attack mode. Graves' ribs are bandaged, but he still manages to control the action until Victor takes a few shots at the injured area. A cross-bodyblock by Graves does more damage to Graves than to Victor and that's enough to shift the momentum in favor of the Ascension member...Corey gets off an enzuigiri but Victor retaliates by dumping him ribs-first on the top rope.
Victor slows the pace for a few minutes but Graves finally starts to rally...Conor jumps up on the apron but Neville dashes into the ring to dropkick him to the floor. Neville follows O'Brian out with a plancha and Victor looks to finish with a fireman's-carry gutbuster, but Corey counters into a small package in mid-air for the flash pin! Graves retrieves his title belt on the way out...so a good day for the Tag Champs.
Backstage, Summer Rae continues the Last Temptation Of Sasha Banks...
Elsewhere backstage, Renee Young interviews NXT Women's Champion Paige Knight. She doesn't care what Summer Rae is up to and she knows how good Sasha Banks is. What does "anti-diva" mean? It means she's not a cover girl and she'd rather deal with pin covers as an in-ring fighter.
Mason Ryan vs. Alexander Rusev(w/ Sylvester Lefort & Scott Dawson): Rusev brings in the 2x4 with "MASON" on it, then breaks it over his knee. I wouldn't look for too many flying headscissors in this one...they start with a series of lockups instead. Ryan is the first to knock his opponent off his feet, but Rusev surprises him with a spinning heel kick(!) for two. Rusev dominates for a bit but a blind charge hits turnbuckles and Ryan starts the comeback. Dawson runs interference only to get tossed into the ring, then sent right back to the floor. After that, Lefort jumps up on the apron and Ryan gets a hold of him only to be blindsided by Rusev. Camel clutch is applied...and Ryan taps out? Okay then.
Backstage, we find Leo Kruger standing over the fallen Xavier Woods...ta ta.
Sami Zayn vs. Jack Swagger(w/ Zeb Colter): Riley notes that even Michael Cole was impressed by the Zayn-Cesaro matchup from a few weeks ago. It doesn't take long for this one to kick into high gear...YAY WRESTLING~! Zayn looks strong in the opening minutes and Swagger seeks refuge on the floor...then Zayn does a nice fakeout to freak out both Jack and his manager. Zeb does distract Zayn long enough for Swagger to recover and mow him down with a clothesline...the tide has turned, as they say.
The momentum shifts a few times as Zayn doesn't stay down for long...though a short-arm clothesline by Swagger sends him for a literal loop. Sami is able to low-bridge Swagger out of the ring at a key moment...and he hits the no-hands somersault plancha! Back into the ring for a Steamboat Press...for two. Corner OLE~! Kick is blocked but Zayn slides out of Swagger's suplex attempt, going up and over into a sunset flip for two. Swagger gets the takeover suplex on the second try...for two. Oklahoma Stampede by Swagger(!), but Zayn escapes the grip after the first turnbuckle slam and surprises him with a Blue Thunder Bomb...for two! Swagger single-legs him into a Patriot Lock attempt out of nowhere, then maneuvers out of Zayn's escape attempt to hit the Doctor Bomb...for 2 1/2!
The straps come down and he gets the Patriot Lock in the middle of the ring...but Zayn finally lunges for the bottom rope to get a break. Swagger thinks he's got this in the bag...but a Vaderbomb hits the knees! OLE~! Kick hits...for 2 1/2! They slug it out with Zayn getting the edge...third floor? Swagger cuts him off but Zayn fights out of the pop-up superplex for a sunset bomb! Cover...for 2 1/2! NXT Champion Bo Dallas suddenly makes an appearance to root for his good buddy Sami Zayn, but Zayn is distracted by his presence and Swagger takes him down into the Patriot Lock again! This time Zayn has nowhere left to go and finally taps out... #yaywrestling
The Real Americans celebrate, Zayn's disappointed, and Bo is all "sorry, bro"...
Next week: Woods vs. Kruger plus Paige vs. Sasha for the NXT Women's Title.

CSCW Special Comment
Attendance was a bit better than previous CSCW shows I had attended. Also, crowd enthusiasm wasn't a problem on this night.
Saw a few people for the first time: Ricky Starks(who just moved to this area along with a few other Texas competitors), Devyn Nicole(as a manager; she's wrestled at other Midwest shows), Jonathon Hampton(from Ohio; worked previous CSCW shows), Joe Bruizer(also from Ohio), Claudia Del Solis, and Jordynne Grace.
Some people were absent that had originally been scheduled for the show: Ax Allwardt, Darren Dean, Justa Mazing, Dakota Prodigy, and Joker(injured).
The ceiling was low and I worried about the tiles on a few occasions; Byron Wilcott actually moved a few tiles aside so he could pose on the second turnbuckle. :)
I found it oddly funny that Shane Fury came out to Eminem music...but then I've seen a few different Caucasian wrestlers use gangsta rap for their themes.
Yes, it's official: I've finally seen Aaron SOLO in a singles match.
Good to see Eric Allen back in action...he had been injured early in the year and I hadn't seen him in the ring since his February match with Michael Elgin. He had to forfeit the MECW Heavyweight Title as a result and only recently returned to action.
The in-ring action was solid for the most part; I felt the first half of the show was actually stronger than the second half for the most part. My favorite match of the night was the Rob Conway-Evan Money main event, followed closely by Chris Logan-Byron Wilcott.
On that note, kudos to Wilcott; I can honestly say that I had never seen a Shake-Weight used in a wrestling match. Bwahahaha...
Special guest referee Jimmy D's double-cross of Shane Somers seemed almost too obvious...I think today's wrestling fans are trained to expect the swerve. Randy Orton cashing in Money-In-The-Bank on Daniel Bryan was telegraphed in the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, but the true swerve was Triple H's involvement. Even after Jimmy D revealed his hand, it took an extended chair beatdown to keep Somers down...on top of that, D called for the bell without the words "I Quit" being spoken.
The women's match seemed a bit "off", sorry to say. I had seen a YouTube video of a previous encounter between Claudia and Jordynne where Claudia was the face and Jordynne was the heel; thought that bout was solid. The roles were reversed on this night as Jordynne did a promo earlier in the night to establish herself as the fan favorite. Someone told me Jordynne was injured so that may have been factor.
Not sure if I'll keep doing these commentaries; as hard as it may be for some people to believe, I DO go to wrestling events to have a good time and enjoy the show. Yes, I have my favorites and I have different reasons for those favorites...whether those favorites are "good for business" is another matter. At the end of the day, it's not my decision to make and one fan's opinion pales in comparison to those of a bunch of "casual fans" in Cena gear or whatever.

-WWE Champion Randy Orton d. Cody Rhodes(non-title) with the RKO in a match where Cody's career was on the line. Triple H personally wished Cody the best in his future endeavors afterwards.
-Natalya Neidhart vs. Naomi Night(w/ Cameron Lynn & Jojo) vs. Brie Bella(w/ Nikki Bella & Eva Marie) ended in a no-contest when Women's Champion A.J. Lee(who was doing commentary) busted up the match. A.J. took a beating from all three women as a result.
-Rob Van Dam(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) d. Damien Sandow with the five-star frog splash despite a distraction by World Champion Alberto Del Rio.
-Daniel Bryan d. The Big Show by DQ; Show didn't want to fight and finally motioned to leave the ring before Triple H entered and The Shield members attacked Bryan for the disqualification.
