Friday SICW Results From East Carondelet, IL + Other Show Results

-The show started with Steve Davis singing the National Anthem, followed by a ten-bell salute for Blackjack Mulligan and Balls Mahoney.  The night's special guests were Terry Funk and Earl & Dave Hebner, along with Director Of Affairs Cowboy Bob Orton.
-Attila Khan(w/ Travis Cook) d. Bobby D after two inverted DDTs (3:02).
-Funk and Larry Matysik did a random draw to determine the opening-round matches in the Terry Funk Title Tournament.
-Tournament Quarterfinal:  Ron Powers d. Big Jim Hoffarth after a released German suplex (4:17).
-Tournament Quarterfinal:  Ax Allwardt d. "Unstable" Dave Vaughn; Big Daddy entered separately from his two proteges.  The manager claimed not to care about who won, but he distracted the referee after Vaughn delivered the spear.  The distraction allowed Ax to knock out Vaughn with his chain behind the referee's back for the tainted win (5:54); Big Daddy fired Vaughn from his stable after the match.
-"The Fury" Jason Vaughn & "Dead Sexy" Daniel Gunner d. Britton Tucker & Waco; Earl Hebner and Jay King were the referees for the bout.  Hebner was accidentally knocked down, but King entered the ring to count the fall as Vaughn small-packaged Tucker (8:40).
-Moondog Rover made his first SICW appearance in several years; he makes his in-ring return to the promotion in Cape Girardeau tomorrow night.
-Tournament Quarterfinal:  "Ironman" Ken Kasa fought "The Icon" Chris Hargas(w/ Travis Cook) to a double countout (7:12).
-Promoter Herb Simmons interviewed Funk and Orton, only to be interrupted by Classic Champion Flash Flanagan.  Flanagan said that he had planned to make a name for himself at the expense of the two legends...but then revealed that he wasn't cleared to compete due to a torn rotator cuff.  He surrendered the title to Simmons, after which the promoter and the two legends mutually decided that the winner of the Terry Funk Title Tournament would become the new SICW Classic Wrestling Champion!
-Tournament Quarterfinal:  "The Tokyo Monster" Kahagas(w/ Travis Cook) d. "Your Canadian Hero" Sean Vincent via lariat (6:22).
-Tournament Semifinal:  Ron Powers d. Ax Allwardt(w/ Big Daddy); the manager's distraction backfired as Powers hit Ax with his own chain to score the victory (5:07).  (Kahagas received a bye to the finals due to the Kasa-Hargas double countout.)
-"Volatile" Curtis Wylde(w/ Wyldefyre) d. "Night Train/Gorgeous/Great One" Gary Jackson by DQ.  Wylde constantly used his valet as a shield during the match, leading to Wyldefyre blatantly entering the ring to confront Jackson.  Gary avoided a slap attempt and threw Wyldefyre at her man, causing her to execute an inadvertent rana on Wylde!  The referee made the unusual call that Jackson was disqualified for using the valet as a weapon (9:12).  Gary asked Herb Simmons to rectify the situation and a rematch was set for the May 21st show...with Wyldefyre locked in a cage!
-Tournament Final:  Ron Powers d. "The Tokyo Monster" Kahagas(w/ Travis Cook) after the RKO to win the vacant Classic Title (6:05).  The match was a wild brawl that spilled out of the ring and saw each man attack the other with steel chairs.  Afterwards, Flash Flanagan entered the ring for a staredown with the new champion, but graciously handed over his title and beat down Travis Cook with his kendo stick.  Travis brought out Khan and Hargas to back up Kahagas, but Terry Funk and Cowboy Bob Orton entered the fray and helped Powers and Flanagan clear the ring!  After the dust settled, Flash handed the title belt to Funk in honor of his namesake tournament and Funk then presented the championship to the tournament winner Ron Powers!
