-Shinsuke Nakamura & Austin Aries d. Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy(w/ Alexa Bliss) when Nakamura pinned Murphy after the Kinshasa(flying knee strike) (2:47).  Alexa walked away from her team after the match, then Blake walked away from Murphy to follow Alexa.
-Backstage:  Cathy Kelly interviewed Bayley Rose about her match with Nia Jax tonight; she said she's not intimidated and she knows she can beat Nia, so she was confident that history would repeat itself.
-Backstage:  Cathy interviewed "No Way" Jose Valenzuela...he smiles a lot and people underestimate him as a result, but he is here to fight.
-Earlier today, backstage:  Carmella Van Damme wishes luck to Enzo Amore in his recovery and Colin Cassady in his current main-roster success...but she has her own goal to become NXT Women's Champion.
-Carmella Van Damme d. Peyton Royce with the push-up headscissors submission hold (3:27).
-After a recent out-of-control brawl between NXT Champion Samoa Joe and Finn Bálor at a house show, General Manager S. William Regal announced that the title rematch at Takeover will be a cage match.
-Backstage:  Blake, Murphy, and Alexa argued amongst themselves.  Alexa declared them to be embarrassments and said she would pursue her own interests(the NXT Women's Title) from now on.
-Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano d. Danny Burch & Rob Ryzin; Gargano pinned Ryzin after a close-range superkick while Ciampa delivered a running knee strike to the back of Ryzin's head (4:56).
-Backstage in Regal's office:  Regal announced that American Alpha(Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) would defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) at Takeover.
-Nia Jax d. Bayley Rose; Bayley appeared to injure her knee and Nia took advantage, getting the win after a Legdrop O' Doom to the back of the head (13:07 aired).
