-Lacey Evans d. Aliyah Areebi after a knockout punch (3:18). After the match, Lacey talked about cleaning up the women's division...but she was confronted by Shayna Baszler and decided to take her leave. Baszler entered the ring and took down Aliyah in the Kirifuda Clutch(sleeper with bodyscissors); NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon ran out and Baszler backed off. Ember wanted to settle things in the ring, but Baszler only wanted to do it if the title was on the line...Ember was okay with that and Baszler told her to bring the title to Philadelphia.
-Backstage: General Manager S. William Regal was interviewed about what just happened; Regal said it was against his better judgment, but Ember vs. Baszler was official for Takeover. Enter Zelina Vega, who complained that Johnny Gargano didn't deserve his NXT Title shot at Andrade "Cien" Almas...since "Velveteen Dream" Patrick Clark didn't get his opportunity to compete for the title shot, maybe Gargano should put his title shot on the line against him.
-Returning next week: "No Way" Jose Valenzuela.
-Johnny Gargano made his way to the ring as the commentators were talking about the Takeover card...he wasn't fond of people talking about him behind his back. Gargano said he would put his title opportunity on the line against Velveteen Dream on next week's show.
