I'm doing my best to mix up my joke material for each performance so that I'm not just doing the same 4-5 minutes; that's included trying out different ways to open and close my sets. I know several good ways to start a set, but I'm still trying to figure out the best jokes to finish a set...the "merch plug" fits on paid shows, but not so much at open-mics. I don't think I've ever done an outdoor show. I was the host and did about a ten-minute set to start off the show...my stage rust showed a bit as I had trouble thinking up jokes by the end of my time. It was a fun time and paid gigs are always appreciated. Don't really have much else to say...just gotta practice a bit more. Keep forgetting to email to sign up for Back Door Comedy's open-mic on Thursday nights.
