Wrestling Viewing

TNA XPlosion

Your hosts are Jeremy Borash & Taz.

Tommy "Crimson" Mercer vs. Brother Devon, XPlosion Championship Challenge Tournament & Bound For Glory Series Match: "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero comes out to sit with Devon's family partway through the match...Devon is not amused. Taz comments that Devon should just leave his kids at home and this wouldn't be a problem. The fight spills out of the ring and Crimson reverses a whip to send Devon into the guardrail, sending one of Devon's kids flying backwards. Pope blows a gasket and brawls with Crimson, but in the meantime both men have been counted out. Devon and Pope have words over the whole thing as they check on Devon's son...oh, this means both Crimson and Devon are out of the tournament, sending Brutus Magnus straight to the finals.

WWE Superstars.com

Your hosts are Jack Korpela, Matt Striker, Josh Mathews, & Scott Stanford.

Kaitlyn Bonin vs. Alicia Fox: Some minor history between these two recently. Alicia wins a competitive match after the axe kick.

Brodus Clay vs. Pat Silva: Haven't seen Clay since Extreme Rules...don't like Silva's chances. Clay finishes with an avalanche followed by a cross-bodyblock(!) that Korpela dubs the Fall Of Humanity.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Primo Colon: J.T.G. joins the commentary team to push his mini-feud with Vlad...why not? Primo does only slightly better than expected...but he jumps off the second rope straight into a big headbutt and that's enough for Kozlov to get the win. Vlad and J.T.G. exchange a few words but nothing more comes of it.

Chris Masters vs. Jack Swagger: Fine matchup as Masters has become one of the more underrated guys on the roster. Nice finish as Swagger runs Masters into the turnbuckles to break a Masterlock attempt and takes him down straight into the anklelock out of that for the tapout.

TNA Impact

Your hosts are Mike Tenay & Taz.

Opening yapping segment had disagreements between Ken Anderson and Bully Ray to set up a match at Hardcore Justice. They called out Fortune for a quickie brawl, during which James Storm appeared to be injured...

Women's Tag Team Champion Miss Brooke Tessmacher(w/ Tara Varon) d. Madison Rayne via small package; Women's Champion Mickie James did commentary for the match. Rayne attacked Tessmacher after the match and Mickie left the broadcast table to help but was attacked by Angelina Love and Winter Lea.

Bound For Glory Series: Brother Devon d. A.J. Styles; "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero once again sat with Devon's family. Christopher Daniels came to ringside and it was A.J. who was distracted at the end of the match as he missed a springboard move and got rolled up for the pin.

Bound For Glory Series: "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero d. Samoa Joe by reversed decision; Matt Morgan(injured and out of the series) did commentary. Joe got the win via Kokita Clutch but refused to release the hold and the referee overturned his original ruling. Pope earns a few points and Joe goes to negative numbers...ouch.

Shawn Hernandez(w/ El Anarquia, Sarita Stock, & Rosita Fly) d. Robert Roode(w/ James Storm) in a street fight; Storm was scheduled for the match but Roode took his place after the injury earlier in the show. With all the chaos and weapons in the match, it was a cheap rollup with feet on the ropes that earned Hernandez the win.

Austin Aries d. Alex Shelley via brainbuster.

Bound For Glory Series: Rob Van Dam & Tommy "Crimson" Mercer d. Phil Gunner & Scott Steiner; Crimson cut off a superplex attempt by Steiner on Van Dam with an electric chair drop, allowing RVD to finish Steiner with the five-star frog splash.

The show ended with a contract signing for the Heavyweight Title match between Sting and Kurt Angle at the PPV....at least they DID clarify the whole thing about Angle having "never beaten Sting", amending it to note that Kurt feels he's never beaten Sting except under dubious circumstances(i.e. outside interference).

Added to Hardcore Justice: RVD vs. Crimson and Pope vs. Devon in Bound For Glory Series matches.
