NXT, XPlosion, Impact

WWE NXT5.com

Your hosts are Josh Mathews & S. William Regal.

Titus O'Neil starts the show...lucky us. He calls out Alex Riley for his involvement in last week's main event, but gets Darren Young instead. Young admits some grudging respect for O'Neil's new attitude...he even offers a handshake which Titus accepts after some initial harsh words. Enter Percy Watson...the heels try to goad him into entering the ring, but he gets some backup in the form of A-Ry. Riley can sympathize with being backstabbed so he's here to watch Percy's back...that triggers an impromptu brawl and the good guys clear the ring. Enter emcee Matt Striker...this looks like a main event to me.

Trent Barreta vs. Tyson Kidd: Kidd is still fan-friendly on the heels of his appearance on last week's episode of Superstars. YAY WRESTLING~! Trent snaps off an early rana but Kidd backflips off the ropes to deliver an armdrag. Trent rolls out of the ring and Kidd hits a major suicide dive that leaves both men down on the floor. They manage to barely beat the ten-count and re-engage in a battle of strikes ending with a jumping enzuigiri from Barreta. Tyson fires back with a major spinkick...for two. Trent drives him down with a boot out of the corner, then hits the Gobstopper Knee...for two. Dudebuster DDT is blocked and Kidd meets him at the ropes with a kick, backflipping to the apron in one motion. Kidd delivers a heel kick from the apron but Trent cuts off an attempted turnbuckle move...top-rope Frankensteiner connects but Kidd rolls through into a sunset flip for the flash pin!

Heath Slater gets promo time? Wow. He treats us to endless replays of his win last week...that brings out Derrick Bateman. Bateman expresses shock that Heath actually has a finisher...heh. Heath's been to WrestleMania, he's main-evented SummerSlam, he's a three-time Tag Team Champion, yadda yadda...Bateman counters with a highlight reel of Heath's recent cold streak. That turns into a fight and Bateman dropkicks Heath out of the ring to hold the high ground. That brings out Derrick's significant other Maxine for her match...

Alicia Fox vs. Maxine Perez: So is Maxine a face or a heel now? She's definitely a heel for this match...however, Johnny Curtis comes out and demands to know why she never called him back. That distraction is all it takes for Alicia to get a rollup pin...that was quick.

Backstage: Bateman & Maxine go looking for Curtis...and Maxine crosses paths with Kaitlyn Bonin. Kaitlyn seems to be concerned about Bateman getting burned again and wonders why Maxine's always looking for Johnny...hmm. Of course, Curtis is lurking nearby...

Alex Riley & Percy Watson vs. Titus O'Neil & Darren Young: Percy gets an early advantage on Young and goes aerial with a nice plancha...but when the two fight on the apron, Young takes over with a back suplex onto the edge of the ring. That puts Watson in the wrong part of town...but he finally kicks Titus away long enough to make the tag to Riley! Riley rallies against Young but Titus breaks up the pin after an elevated DDT. Percy and Titus fight and take it to the floor but Titus rams Percy back into the ring apron...then he blind-tags into the match and levels Riley from behind. Clash Of The Titus, 1-2-3, O'Neil & Young get the win.

TNA XPlosion

Your hosts are Jeremy Borash & Taz.

Robbie Eckos(w/ Robbie Terry) vs. Douglas Williams for the T.V. Title: Williams is a former Television Champion and was once aligned with "Robbie T" in the British Invasion. YAY WRESTLING~! to start...you'd expect Williams to have the advantage in that exchange and you'd be right. Douglas has also been Tag Champ and X-Division Champion...of course Robbie held the X Title himself. Williams pretty quickly decides to be the face in this matchup, good move. Eckos tries to stall on the floor and Douglas nails the suicide dive! He has a brief staredown with former ally Terry before the fight re-enters the ring...so Terry low-bridges Williams out of the ring behind the referee's back. Yes, I note the irony of the T.V. Title mostly being defended on the show that I'm NOT watching on an actual television. Robbie E keeps up the pressure but can't put him away...Williams mounts a comeback and nearly wins after a flying European uppercut off the top rope. Douglas looks to finish but Terry gets up on the apron, causing enough of a distraction for Eckos to escape a potential Chaos Theory by hanging onto the turnbuckles. Eckos finishes with an elevated DDT to retain the T.V. Title.

TNA Impact

-Your hosts are Mike Tenay & Taz, your ring announcers are Christy Hemme & Jeremy Borash.
-Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode & Bully Ray open the show by calling out James Storm, claiming they put Jeff Hardy on the shelf last week. This brings out Storm and also Sting...Sting announces Roode vs. Ray vs. Hardy vs. Storm for the title at Against All Odds. As for tonight, Storm wanted both of them in the ring tonight, so Sting sets up two separate singles matches for this show.
-Tag Team Champions Matt Morgan & Tommy "Crimson" Mercer vs. Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus, non-title Buckingham Brawl: The heels win a pre-match coin toss, meaning that they get to operate under tornado rules while the opponents have to tag in and out. Since we're in England, the fans are solidly behind Magnus and his partner. The numbers catch up to the champs and Joe stuns Morgan with a corner enzuigiri, then snapmares him into a second-turnbuckle elbowdrop from Magnus...that allows Magnus to pin Morgan for the non-title win over the titleholders!
-Time for "As The Bischoffs Turn" starring Eric and Garret...the fans don't seem to care for this segment.
-X-Division Champion Austin Aries vs. Mark Haskins, non-title: Despite Haskins' home-country advantage, Aries has his share of fans. Haskins takes a bad fall when Aries busts up a springboard move. Hawkins makes a nice comeback and gets a close near-fall after a Diamond Cutter, but misses the shooting star press. Aries nails the brainbuster, then segues straight into the Last Chancery for the tapout...nicely done.
-Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode vs. James Storm, non-title: Yeah, this is on free TV. Good match in a series of them tonight, at any rate. Storm has the momentum but a trip-up by Ray is enough opening for Roode to deliver a spear for the win. The heels look for a post-match beatdown but Sting arrives to restore order...and Cowboy James has another match tonight.
-Women's & Women's Tag Team Champion Gail Kim(w/ Madison Rayne) vs. Tara Varon, non-title: This is a previous of their title match at the next PPV...Madison's interference backfires and Tara gets a big win with the Widow's Peak.
-Garret Bischoff's trainer is Hulk Hogan...this doesn't sit well with Eric or Phil Gunner.
-James Storm vs. Bully Ray: Roode comes to ringside to support his ally...but Sting arrives wielding a cricket bat(U.K.!) to even the odds. The referee gets knocked down but Sting prevents Roode from interfering...Ray sees the plan go awry and promptly eats a superkick for the 1-2-3.
