-NXT Champion Samoa Joe made his way to the ring...he was upset about not being consulted and said the match would not happen because Nakamura didn't deserve a title shot.  That brought out Regal, who informed Joe that the champion wasn't the one who made the matches.  Joe felt like he had to jump through hoops and destroy everyone before he got his opportunity, so Nakamura had to go through the same trials and tribulations.  Regal told him that if he refused to fight, he would consider that a forfeiture of the title and Nakamura would face someone else with the belt at stake.  Under those terms, Joe agreed to the match...but he said that Nakamura would be another victim like Finn Bálor.  Joe added that Nakamura may not even make it to Brooklyn...and that brought out the new number-one contender for a staredown from the entrance stage.

Dynamo Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about Friday's Dynamo Pro Wrestling show at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, Illinois as part of NatsuCon.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm biased.  Deal with it.

Previous Ring Of Honor shows in the venue had given me a brush with the anime conventions that took place at the same time...Dynamo took advantage of the crossover appeal by holding their own show as a direct part of NatsuCon.  I've watched enough anime and read enough manga to recognize some but not all of the cosplays...never knew an Ewok could look that attractive.  Ahem.  The show drew a good amount of casual onlookers, so hopefully that'll bump up attendance at Dynamo's other shows.

I briefly joined the Wrestle Talk podcast for a live segment prior to the event, doing my best to push the St. Louis independent wrestling scene as well as my own comedy exploits(such as they are).  The guys traditionally broadcast out of the Kansas City area and frequent Metro Pro Wrestling...if I can bum a ride from someone, it'd be cool to check out next Saturday's event.  (Hint hint.)

Your ring announcer was Luke Roberts; your referees were Scott Ramsey and Jay King.

The Bite Club(Rocket Mapache & Jackal) vs. The Midnight Society(Jayson Khaos & Billy McNeil)(w/ C.J. McManus):  Billy was dressed in all black and was fully embracing his new heel role with a lot of stalling and complaining to the referee.  This match felt like a throwback to Gateway Championship Wrestling as the participants(including manager C.J.) were all a part of that promotion back in the day.  With the Midnight Society finally on the same page(and using the old Midnight Express theme music), it seemed like they were due for a win here.  It should be noted that the referee for this opener was the same one who felt the wrath of the Midnight Society in Glen Carbon last week(Scott Ramsey).  Chaos broke loose at the end and C.J. distracted the ref, allowing Khaos to mule-kick Rocket in the little acorns.  Khaos followed up with a Death Valley Driver onto the knee and Billy added a sliding lariat, allowing Khaos to pin Rocket for the win in 12:32.

Makaze vs. Karim Brigante(w/ Miss Monica Passeri):  Davey Richards & Angelina Love had been scheduled for the show(with Monica set to face Angelina), but travel problems forced them to cancel.  As I've noted in the past, it's unfortunate that fans see Davey as someone who "no-shows" a lot...it seems like it's out of his control for the most part.  Since Angelina lives in this neck of the woods nowadays, it would be cool to see her in the ring with some of the female wrestlers of the Midwest like Lucy Mendez and Stacey O'Brien.  The GCW alumni trend continued with Makaze's presence here.  Brigante had the advantage in size and power, but Makaze's experience was the deciding factor as he won with the Blizzard Suplex(Northern Lights/fisherman suplex) in 6:05.

"The Cowboy" Ric Maverick vs. "The Alternative" Ozzie Gallagher:  Maverick was the representative of NatsuCon who set up the wrestling portion of the event, triggering an angle with Gallagher earlier in the day.  Gallagher had been on a winning streak in recent months and Maverick picked up his first victory at last week's Glen Carbon show against The Incredible Primal Prodigy Matt Kenway (Look At Him).  Maverick won a solid bout with the cobra clutch in 5:48.

Mason Conrad vs. Brandon Espinosa:  Since the event was held in Illinois, Espinosa's MWR Missouri Title was not on the line.  I had only seen Conrad on a handful of occasions; I believe he's from the Chicago area and he probably traveled with the other out-of-town guests on the show.  It seems like Espy's little controversy from a few weeks ago has already blown over...such is the ADD-afflicted age of social media.  At any rate, this was a fine competitive matchup...Espy scored the win after the brainbuster in 8:30.

"The King Of Chaos" Ricky Cruz vs. "The Voodoo King" Mojo McQueen:  McQueen is another Chicago guy who came out in a mask with various voodoo-related items, including a smoke-spewing box which may have caused headaches if it had set off any fire alarms.  I can honestly say this was the first time I had ever seen a voodoo doll involved in a match...Ricky fell to the mat in pain when Mojo stabbed the doll with a metal spike.  Despite the occult shenanigans, Cruz made the comeback only to be cut off by the big man.  McQueen had to walk all the way to the backstage area to get a metal chair(which happened to be the one personalized by Outtkast)...he shoved the referee when he tried to interfere and then bashed Ricky with the weapon.  That drew a disqualification in 7:30, but such is life...McQueen attempted to do more damage, but Ricky delivered a spinning heel kick to knock the chair back into his own face.  The voodoo man retreated, but I suspect this issue is far from over.

Intermission~!  Given my previous experience with the Gateway Center's refreshment costs, I stuck with the public water fountains...so no Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm) on this evening.  Aww.

Outtkast vs. "The Lightbringer" Jesus Bryce for the D-1 Title:  I had heard of Bryce Benjamin, but this was my first time seeing him in his current incarnation (I think he had been scheduled for one of Frank Thurman's shows in the past).  I really like the character and he more than held up his end on the wrestling side of things; hope to see more of him in the near future.  Outtkast retained his title with the Case Study in 8:44; he hasn't had a real feud over the D-1 Championship since he won it, so hopefully someone will specifically target the belt in the upcoming months.

High Level Enterprise(Jack Gamble & Jon Webb) vs. "The Valedictorian" Keon Option & Big Jay Knight(w/ Justin D'Air) for the Tag Team Titles:  Option & D'Air had earned this opportunity, but D'Air was on crutches due to a recent knee injury.  Gamble & Webb copped an attitude and even tried to swat away the crutches...they were definitely in rulebreaker mode for the night, but will it be a long-term thing?  D'Air and Option brought out Knight(another Chicago guy) as the replacement...he's a big dude and HLE had trouble dealing with the size difference.  I think the heel role may suit Gamble & Webb a bit more...we'll see if if sticks.  The referee was knocked down in the closing moments of the match, allowing Gamble to swipe one of D'Air's crutches and whack Knight with it.  Webb followed up with a moonsault off the second rope to pin Knight in 10:18...SHENANIGANS~!

Delirious vs. Mike Outlaw:  This was a proving ground for the up-and-coming Outlaw against the veteran Delirious, who got his start in the St. Louis area in 2001.  I remember that Hillsboro county fair, the monster truck, and also the debut of some gal named MsChif...good times.  (I tweeted to Delirious about that debut show and he tweeted back a picture of the event program...bwahahaha.)  Outlaw is working his way back up the ladder to a rematch with Heavyweight Champion "Dirdey" Jake Dirden(who was wrestling in Iowa this past weekend).  Delirious made his usual manic entrance...he was happy to see me in my new Delirious T-shirt that I picked up at the most recent Ring Of Honor show.  As is tradition, the Wayne's World cap went flying...it nearly ended up in the ceiling!

Anywho...wrestling match, yay~!  They started with a feeling-out process before turning up the tempo and aggression...lots of Fighting Spirit(tm) in this one.  Each man survived the other's best shots, but in the end Outlaw delivered his middle-rope springboard European uppercut and then followed up with the High Noon(top-rope elbowdrop)...that was enough for Outlaw to score a huge win in 15:27!  Afterwards, Delirious shook Outlaw's hand and raised his arm in victory...nicely done.

I hung around the venue for a little while after the show, particularly catching up with longtime GCW fan Richard Dix...sometimes life takes people in different directions after they've been a consistent presence for a while.  Delirious did some podcast interviews with his head wrapped in a towel or something...I think he said his mask got wet.  The man is dedicated, I will say that much...and he's also as eloquent a speaker as ever.

It sounded like Pro Wrestling Resurgence had a successful debut show at The Ready Room last Saturday night.  My decision for that evening was a tough one, but I hadn't seen comedian Gabriel Rutledge in a few years (not since the Comedy Etc. days); the last time he was in town, I was in the hospital with bronchitis.  I didn't want to miss seeing him this time around, but I would have to skip one wrestling show with events on both Friday and Saturday.  Resurgence has a few more events lined up for August with some big names scheduled to appear...Kevin Lee Davidson vs. Moose and Michael Elgin vs. Brandon Espinosa are just two of the big matches set to take place in PWR.

While there's nothing local next weekend, August will be VERY busy...here's what's on tap for the greater Midwest:

-Saturday 8/6:  Stride Pro Wrestling in Marion, IL; High Risk Wrestling in Warsaw, MO
-Sunday 8/7:  Wrestling Invades  America in Swansea, IL
-Saturday 8/13:  Mid-Missouri Wrestling Alliance in St. Louis, MO
-Saturday 8/20:  Dynamo Pro Wrestling in Wood River, IL; Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling in East Carondelet, IL; Pro Wrestling Resurgence in Sauget, IL(Pop's)
-Friday 8/26:  St. Louis Anarchy in Alton, IL
-Saturday 8/27:  St. Louis Anarchy in Alton, IL; World League Wrestling in St. Peters, MO; Cape Championship Wrestling in Cape Girardeau, MO
-Sunday 8/28:  Pro Wrestling Resurgence in Swansea, IL

That's my special comment for this, the thirty-first wrestling show I've attended in the year 2016.  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.

Comedy Part 711: Hey Guys, It's Another Contest Qualifier

Location:  Hey Guys Comedy
Emcee:  Me
Lineup:  Chris Cyr, Mike McGuire, Will O'Donnell, Shannon Yarbrough(winner), Brian McDowell, Nathan Orton, Joe "The Animal" Lancey, Lucas Hinderliter, Jeff Tolbert, Marcelis Flores, Quentin Wilbert, Angela Pace, Rob T., Tom Brown, Gary Reinhardt

I hosted this contest qualifier in which the winner received a cash prize and an automatic spot in the next full-fledged contest at the club.  I only did a quick comedy set at the end of the show and figured on that ahead of time.  I don't know if I fell short in my hosting duty as I allowed a chatty person in the audience to keep chiming in...the comics did a good enough job in playing it off, so I let it go.  Congrats to Shannon for his win...next up for me is Tuesday evening, wherever that stage might be...

Lucha Underground Season 2 Episode 26 (Ultima Lucha II Part 3)

-Commentators:  Matt Striker & Vampiro.
-Elsewhere:  Pentagon Jr. underwent his final training with Vampiro, fighting several dopplegangers of himself in a cave.  He unmasked the final one as Vampiro himself, who told him that the candle of Pentagon Jr. had to be extinguished so that "Pentagon Dark" could take his place.
-Fenix, Drago, & Aero Star d. Worldwide Underground(Johnny Mundo, Jack Evans, & P.J. Black) to win the Trios Titles.  Evans pulled out the referee and the champions started cheating like crazy, so the injured Angélico made his return to help out the challengers by whacking Mundo with his crutch.  That led to Fenix pinning Mundo after the Fire Thunder Driver (11:50).  (That made Fenix the first Triple Crown winner in Lucha Underground history as he's now held the Gift Of The Gods, Heavyweight, and Trios Titles.)
-Dragon Azteca Jr. vs. Black Lotus ended in a no-contest when Pentagon Dark interfered by crotching Azteca on the top rope (4:11).  He snapped Lotus' arm with his armbar/hammerlock combo, then dropped Azteca with a package piledriver and snapped his arm as well.
-Matanza Cueto(w/ promoter Dario Cueto) d. Pentagon Dark to retain the Heavyweight Title.  Dario interfered to stop Pentagon from using a barbed-wire bat provided by Vampiro; that allowed Matanza to hit Pentagon across the back with the bat and win with the Wrath Of The Gods(rewind powerslam) (11:33).  Vampiro went into the ring to check on his protege, but Pentagon shoved him away and left without him.
-As Vampiro returned to the broadcast table, he took his pills to return to a more normal state of mind...
-Taya Valkyrie d. Ivelisse Velez after Catrina Perez LIGHTS OFF LIGHTS ON appeared in the ring to attack Ivelisse, dropping her with a Barbie Crusher.  LIGHTS OFF LIGHTS ON and Catrina was gone from the ring, allowing Taya to finish with a Northern Lights suplex followed by a double-stomp (6:49).  Catrina gave Ivelisse a "lick of death" afterwards.
-Rey Misterio Jr. d. Prince Puma after a flying rana off the top rope into a pin (16:38).
-As Striker & Vampiro wrapped up the show at the broadcast table, Pentagon Dark attacked Vampiro from behind with the barbed-wire bat and superkicked Striker.  Pentagon raked the barbed wire across Vampiro's head before continuing the beating in the ring, finally licking the blood off Vampiro's head.  Pentagon Dark declared himself to be the new master as he dished out more and more abuse...
-Outside the Temple:  Police officers escorted Dario Cueto to a van to be taken into custody...but as the van drove away, Dario seemed oddly content.  "To be continued..."

Comedy Parts 709-10: Back At Helium

Location:  Helium Comedy Club(garage)
Emcee:  Rusty Hughes
After:  Ella Fritts
Before:  Justin Luke

Location:  Helium Comedy Club
Emcee:  Stryker Spurlock
After:  J.R. Moore
Before:  Jon Venegoni

Hadn't been to Helium since the first round of their contest (congrats to Rafe Williams on his win, by the way).  I hadn't been feeling the best in recent days, so I probably needed to get out of the house to take my mind off things.  I had several new jokes in mind for the evening and the "bucket mic" was my opportunity to test-run them...it can be tough to gauge quality in that environment, but it was still fun.  The current monsoon season in the St. Louis area has meant that people don't feel like leaving the house, but the people in attendance had a good time at both shows...I did my best to have a solid set on the main show and feel like I did okay.  I'm not sure if I'm going anything at Hey Guys on Thursday or not...I hadn't planned on entering the contest, but maybe I'll throw in a last-minute entry if there's a slot available.  (To be fair, my track record in contests isn't the best...)

-The General Managers of each show were introduced:  Mick Foley for Raw, Daniel Bryan for Smackdown.
-Antonio Cesaro & Sami Zayn d. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens when Zayn reversed Jericho's rollup attempt into a small package pin (8:23 aired).
-Darren Young(w/ Bob Backlund) d. Alberto Del Rio; Intercontinental Champion Mike Mizanin did commentary.  Miz's interference backfired, leading to Young winning with a Backlund-style bridging O'Connor Roll (2:23).
-A.J. Styles, The Wyatt Family(Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, & Erick Rowan), & The Bullet Club(Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) d. John Cena, Tag Team Champions The New Day(Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, & Xavier Woods), Enzo Amore, & Colin Cassady when Styles pinned Enzo after the Styles Clash (joined in progress; 12:41 aired).
-Baron Corbin d. Sin Cara with the End Of Days(mid-air Flatliner) (1:18); Kalisto tried to help his tag team partner after the match but Corbin laid him out as well.
-Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch d. Women's Champion Charlotte Flair & Dana Brooke by DQ when Natalya Neidhart attacked Becky as Charlotte & Dana double-teamed Sasha (2:20).

-Dean Ambrose fought Seth Rollins to a double-pin finish to retain the WWE Title.  Rollins delivered a superplex and Ambrose small-packaged him on the landing, but both men's shoulders were down when the referee counted three (17:28 aired).

Dynamo Special Comment

Now, as promised, a special comment about Saturday's Dynamo Pro Wrestling show at the Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm biased.  Deal with it.

R.I.P. Lucas, 2005-2016.  He seemed to be better after his recent bout with heartworm troubles, but he was acting strangely last night in my room so I picked him up onto my bed so he would be comfortable.  Around 4 AM, I petted him and realized that he had stopped breathing.  I guess he was a bed hog to the end...har har.  I guess it was just old age...I'm heartbroken for my other dog since the siblings were practically inseparable.  I remember my mom picking out the girl dog online and commenting to me that another dog from the litter was available...at that moment, I knew she was bringing two dogs home.  Those two kept me grounded at times when my mind was in a bad place and I'll forever be grateful to them for that.  Rest well, buddy.

Dynamo has been in an odd place in recent months with two of it regular venues becoming major question marks.  The Stratford Inn closed up shop in mid-May and The Ready Room will be used by Pro Wrestling Resurgence for its debut show next Saturday.  As a result, a return to Glen Carbon was a near-necessity for the promotion; indie rasslin is a tough sell over the summer, so many groups have lighter schedules anyway.  Dynamo will be back in Wood River in the near future as well.

It was a very busy Saturday as several other shows were taking place across the bi-state area, severely limiting Dynamo's roster for the night.  Heavyweight Champion Jake Dirden was at the debut show for Cape Championship Wrestling in Cape Girardeau(as was Davey Vega).  Ricky Cruz and Kevin Lee Davidson were in Sedalia for New Breed Wrestling.  Brandon Aarons was in Lebanon for NWA Central States Championship Wrestling.  Also missing from the show were D-1 Champion Outtkast and Shorty Biggs, along with Danny Adams.  As a result, the show was headlined by the Tag Team Title bout between High Level Enterprise and The Professionals.  The attendance was fine, though not overly strong; on a positive note, the fans were invested in the show and reacted well to everything.

Your ring announcer was Chris Roedel, your assistant ring announcer was Luke Roberts, and your referees were Richard White and Scott Ramsey.

Paco Gonzalez vs. Brandon Espinosa:  Espy garnered some "publicity" this past week for something he said during his Mid-Missouri Wrestling Alliance match with Mike Outlaw; feel free to look it up if you want to know the details.  When it comes to wrestling(and comedy), political correctness can often take a back seat but time and place should probably be considered.  Oddly, I didn't think of it as a big deal...and it didn't seem to affect the match to any major level (from what I saw on YouTube).  Unfortunately, tensions in this country are at an all-time high and people usually go to this sort of show to take their minds off the day's current events.  Not QUITE sure what I'm trying to say here, but I'll be surprised if this whole deal doesn't blow over fairly quickly.

Anywho...wrestling match, yay!  The MWR Missouri Title belt was not in the house since it was an Illinois show.  This was a fine opener...I'm pretty sure these two have crossed paths in the past, but don't hold me to that.  Paco nearly scored the upset after delivering the Death Valley Driver, but Espy shoved the ref into the ropes as Paco climbed the turnbuckles.  That was enough of an opening for Espy to hit the brainbuster for the win in 8:48.  Thanks to the Dynamo show's earlier start time, Espy had plenty of time to make it a doubleheader night with Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling...heh.

"The Cowboy" Ric Maverick vs. "The Primal Prodigy" Matt Kenway (Look At Him):  The young rookie Kenway has been making a good impression in his recent outings; we'll be watching his career with great interest.  I was particularly interested in this bout(among others) since it meant the younger guys would have a chance to shine; that's the nice thing about lower-key shows like this one and the ones in Wood River.  It's good to establish a finisher for an up-and-coming wrestler...the gap in the pecking order may be large, but there's always the realistic possibility of an upset if the underdog can execute his big move.  (That's one of the downsides of this era of constant finisher kickouts...)  Maverick got the tapout win via cobra clutch in 5:25.

Jackal vs. "The Alternative" Ozzie Gallagher:  Jackal's haircut continues to frighten and confuse me.  Even Gallagher was commenting on how often this matchup has occurred in the past few years.  Gallagher has been branching out on the national indie scene, including a win over former WWECW competitor Colin Delaney in Outlaw Wrestling's foray into Tennessee and appearances at Full Impact Pro in Florida.  In all fairness, Gallagher has a point; he has been on a good run of success lately.  Perhaps a shot at the D-1 Title is in his future?  Jackal hit a messy-looking Killswitch #2(turnbuckle-walk Tomakazi) but Gallagher's foot was under the bottom rope so Jackal couldn't get the pinfall.  Gallagher delivered a low blow that went unseen by the official, then rolled up Jackal with a handful of tights for the cheap win in 7:58.

C.J. Shine vs. The Snitch(w/ Sophie Darling):  This was another battle of young lions in Dynamo Pro and it may have been one of my favorite matches of the night for that reason.  Both guys have shown a lot of potential; in particular, Shine has been showing far more personality in recent months.  These guys got notably more time than the previous bouts and I think they made the most of it; I haven't seen Snitch enough to get a good read on him, but he seems to be a solid guy.  Shine got on a roll but Sophie distracted the ref, allowing Snitch to get the rollup pin while holding the ropes at 9:35.  (Two cheap rollup finishes in a row?)  C.J. got some payback afterwards with a belly-to-belly suplex, then took a selfie over Snitch's prone form.  (He said no photography!)

Intermission~!  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  One root beer, plus a water after the show.  Not much this time around.  Saw Justin D'Air in attendance on crutches; don't know his specific injury as I didn't get a chance to talk to him.

Mike Outlaw vs. Billy McNeil(w/ C.J. McManus & Jayson Khaos):  These two crossed paths late last year at a show I missed, so that didn't count(nyah).  McManus and Khaos got a little too eager to interfere and were ejected from ringside; Billy seemed to be okay with that turn of events.  They had a good match, albeit short and surprisingly decisive; Outlaw got the pin after the High Noon(top-rope elbowdrop) in 6:50.

Afterwards, C.J. and Khaos came back out to the ring...and McNeil, frustrated over recent losses, suddenly snapped and blindsided the referee!  Ladies and gentlemen, we have a heel turn.  Khaos and McNeil put the boots to the new ref Scott Ramsey(so THAT'S why he was there), ending with Billy delivering an advanced curbstomp.  Ref Richard White entered the ring in an attempt to restore order, taking his life into his own hands by doing so...but the newly-united Midnight Society decided their work was done.  The story of McNeil's association with his old friend C.J. had been that Billy didn't want to cheat, but he clearly had more success when rules were broken...so now he'll do things C.J.'s way.

Makaze vs. Jayson Khaos(w/ C.J. McManus & Billy McNeil):  Billy may need less colorful attire(and maybe a scarier version of the monkey mask) if he's gonna be a bad guy.  Odd trivia note:  Out of the wrestlers who competed on the first independent wrestling show I ever attended(GCW in May of 2000), only two are active today:  Makaze and Khaos(formerly D'Mon G).  (There is a minor asterisk on that if you count then-referee Sean Vincent.)  With the proverbial chains off, Billy was all too happy to interfere on Khaos' behalf.  In retaliation, Makaze set up a top-rope Frankensteiner on Khaos only to switch directions and dive off the top rope onto McNeil and McManus.  Makaze got a near-fall with the Blizzard Suplex(Northern Lights/fisherman suplex) as the referee ruled that Khaos' shoulder was off the mat, then finished with a second-rope version of the Osaka Jam in 8:20.

High Level Enterprise(Jack Gamble & Jon Webb) vs. The Professionals(Shawn Santel & Mauler McDarby) for the Tag Team Titles:  These teams traded the belts earlier in the year and this was Santel & McDarby's opportunity to regain the titles.  Chris Roedel announced that Gamble & Webb were not in the house and "substitutes" would defend the championships in their place...and that brought out "Empresa De Alto Nivel", "La Apuesta" & "Juan La Telarana".  (Literally "High Level Enterprise", "The Bet(Gamble)" and "Jon The Spider Web".)  It was obviously Gamble & Webb under the masks as they had their usual ring attire; Santel & McDarby even pointed out the obvious identifying tattoos(Jon Webb has his name "WEBB" on his upper back).  At any rate, the fans were entertained by Gamble & Webb playing luchadors for the evening...they had a good solid tag match, as these duos work well together.  The end game when Webb superkicked McDarby as he was held on Gamble's shoulders, leading into Gamble hitting a fireman's-carry Michinoku Driver for the win in 12:36.  Afterwards, the "luchadors" unmasked to reveal...surprise!...Jack Gamble & Jon Webb.  All righty then.

Chris & Luke announced upcoming dates for Wood River (August 20th) and Glen Carbon (September 17th)...the calendar is looking very crowded nowadays.  Next weekend has Dynamo at NatsuCon in Collinsville, IL on Friday and the debut of Pro Wrestling Resurgence on Saturday at The Ready Room in St. Louis, MO.  There's nothing in the immediate area in the last weekend of July, though Metro Pro has a show on Saturday the 30th in Kansas City, KS.

That's my special comment for this, the thirtieth wrestling show I've attended in the year 2016.  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.
