Lucha Underground Season 3 Episode 19 (Midseason Finale)

-Commentators:  Matt Striker & Vampiro.
-Backstage in promoter Dario Cueto's office:  Dario met with Councilman Delgado about Brian Cage's receipt of the gauntlet.  Dragon Azteca Jr. entered the office in no mood to make friends, demanding a death match with Matanza Cueto tonight.  Cueto & Delgado were impressed by his testicular fortitude and Dario made it so.
-The commentators introduced the show, noting that the most recent "death match" in Lucha Underground was the last we had seen of King Cuerno.  Vampiro issued a grim warning after last week's attack by Mil Muertes, vowing that "your time will come".
-El Texano Jr. d. Joey Ryan; Famous B & Beautiful Brenda came out in cowboy/cowgirl garb in an attempt to recruit Texano.  B got into a tug-of-war with Ryan over Texano's bullrope, allowing Brenda to slip a horseshoe into the ring for Texano to KO Ryan for the win (7:03).  Texano had no interest in Famous B and shoved him down, but he did give Brenda a lingering look...
-Heavyweight Champion Johnny Mundo(w/ Jack Evans & "The Darewolf" P.J. Black) enlightened the Believers in the temple.  He turned his attention to top contender Willie Mack, saying that he would never last "All Night Long" with Mundo in their upcoming championship match.  It didn't take long for Mack to make his appearance, beating down Mundo until Evans & Black hit the ring to un-even the odds.  Mack took out Black & Evans with Stone Cold Stunners, then put the boots to Mundo until the champion called for security to restrain Mack.  Mack took out the security guards with Stunners and cleared the ring as the Worldwide Underground trio went into strategic retreat mode.
-Brian "They Call Him" Cage d. Veneno(masked newcomer whose style bore a striking resemblance to that of Cortez Castro) with the Drill Claw(vertical suplex into a Fire Thunder Driver) (1:23).  Cage showed more aggression with the addition of the gauntlet and even pushed the referee after the bell.  After he left, Sexy Star attacked Veneno (thinking the spider-themed luchador was behind her recent spider-related troubles).
-Backstage:  Prince Puma trained in preparation for his continued war with Mil Muertes and remembered the loss of his mentor Konnan.  Catrina Perez stopped by his training area with some words of warning, but Puma was unfazed.
-Matanza Cueto d. Dragon Azteca Jr. in a death match; the referee stopped the match after Matanza chokeslammed Azteca off the entrance stairs and through the wooder bleachers (6:26).  Rey Misterio Jr. returned to check on his protege and Matanza fought through the fans to get his hands on Rey, sparking another wild brawl.  They fought to the upper deck and Matanza gained the upper hand, but he charged and Rey backdropped him over a guardrail...sending Matanza crashing through the wooden ceiling of a storage room!  Dario lost his cool, ringing the bell and ordering the fans to leave the Temple IMMEDIATELY!
-Backstage:  Marty "The Moth" Martinez stalked ring announcer Melissa Santos, but Mariposa captured him and tied him up with a rope...she said that The Moth had finally seen the light and Marty(despite remaining in his bonds) seemed to be happy with her approval.
-Season Three will resume in the summer with Mundo vs. Mack in an All Night Long Match for the Heavyweight Title.
