-NOTES:  Long, hot, sweaty weekend.  I planned as well as I could to rest under pavilions between segments, focus on more water than soda, and charge my phone when able so it would last for the entire show.  I picked up a chicken teriyaki shishkebab which was tremendous; it's the Midwest, everything's better with the inclusion of a stick.  Mental notes for nezt year:  Try the pizza.  Get some street corn.  Bring an extra shrit since mine was sweat-soaked by the end of it.

On a side note, my knees have sucked for a while and I aggravated one of them a few weeks back by slipping on a plastic bag on the floor.  Late in the show on Saturday, I attempted to clumb up the side of the bleachers...mistakes were made.  I re-aggravated the knee and, to add insult to injury, tore my jeans as well.  Got checked out at the hospital today; the X-rays didn't see anything overly bad (i.e. anything broken or torn), just some fluid buildup.  Got predisone precscripton and the expected advice (lots of water, stay off it, keep it raised when possible); dehydration probably didn't help my cause last night.  Needless to say, driving has suuuuucked.  Oh well, I'll live.

This past weekend has SICW's debut in Herculaneum, as well as a privte show on Saturday.  Midwest Throwdnwn Wrestling has its monthyly offering in Chester, IL on Saturday.  Next weekend has IEW in Granite City and MMWA in Lemay.  First weekend of October has the John Holt Yo double-shot for CHWA in Glen Carbon; Dynamo returns to Barnhart on Saturday the 10th.
