Commentators: Josh Mathews & S. William Regal. Emcee: Matt Striker.
Alex Riley & Percy Watson vs. Titus O'Neil & Darren Young: Titus could use a change of music...his current theme doesn't seem to fit his heel personality. O'Neil & Young do the quick-tag thing and keep Riley in their corner...yay teamwork~! Percy makes a blind tag and goes to town on Young...the Showtime Splash gets him a two-count, but he gets distracted by Titus and Young catches him in the Gut Check(Strongbuster) for the win. Titus takes the opportunity to accept Percy's recent demand for a singles rematch...sounds like something for next week.
Derrick Bateman vs. Heath Slater: Instead of our scheduled matchup, Derrick is met in the ring by Justin Gabriel, Kaitlyn Bonin, & Alicia Fox. They call it an "intervention" and encourage him to get away from Maxine Perez. Kaitlyn ends up planting a kiss on Bateman...Maxine charges the ring and it's time for a CATFIIIIIGHT~! Derrick is a bit confused by everything...
Natalya Neidhart wishes Tyson Kidd luck in his match tonight, but Michael McGillicutty interrupts the heart-to-heart...
Tyson Kidd vs. Michael McGillicutty: YAY WRESTLING~! Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect was one of the matches that hooked me on wrestling and this could be considered a new generation of that feud from the early '90s. Kidd fights out of a superplex attempt and nails the Merosault...for two. McGillicutty scrambles to the ropes to escape a Sharpshooter attempt and kicks his way out of Kidd's grasp, then hits the Headturner neckbreaker out of nowhere for the three-count.
Aksana Raudoniene talks to Maxine backstage...but Maxine doesn't trust anyone.
Striker is interrupted by Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins...they bring popcorn and soda to sit on the stage and watch his announcement. Striker is appointing an official matchmaker for NXT...Regal!
Kaitlyn Bonin vs. Maxine Perez: Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis join the commentary team as Regal makes it clear that he's open to bribery. Kaitlyn gets the win with a modified Buh-Buh Bomb turned into a bodyscissors pin...nicely done. Maxine walks away from Derrick after the match and is not interested in Curtis' attempt to comfort her...she walks right over to Regal and says she looks forward to "working closely" with him.
TNA XPlosion
Commentators: Mike Tenay & Jeremy Borash.
Mickie James & Velvet Sky vs. Sarita Stock & Rosita Fly: The pigeons are left in the coop with Taz absent. Lots of tiny shorts in this matchup...I approve. Sarita wants to sing the national anthem...of Mexico, har har. Velvet cuts her off...she asks Mickie to sing the American version, but Rosita cuts THAT off and tempers flare to start the actual matchup. Rosita causes a distraction, allowing Sarita to turn the tide against Velvet. I have noticed that Sarita does the lion's share of the work for her team...well, she is the more experienced wrestler of the two. Sky pulls off a flying headscissors on Sarita before finally making the hot tag to Mickie...the house is on fire! Mickie finishes Sarita with the jumping DDT while Velvet plants Rosita with the sitout Pedigree. Mickie wraps things up with the final verse of the American anthem...why not?
