-Commentators: Jerry Lawler & Michael Cole.
-Edge came out to talk to John Cena, saying Brock Lesnar walked away from the business and Cena owed it to the wrestling faithful to win at Extreme Rules...
-Chris Jericho d. Kofi Kingston by countering a springboard move with a mid-air Codebreaker, then getting the tapout with the Walls Of Jericho.
-Lord Tensai(w/ Adeshi Sakamoto) d. "R-Truth" Ron Killings after a clawhold/STO combo.
-Randy Orton tried to return Kane's favor by tying up Paul Bearer backstage, but Kane's A MONSTER~! and didn't take the bait. Instead, Orton ran out to brawl with Kane, attacking him with a lead pipe.
-Intercontinental Champion The Big Show & The Great Khali d. Alberto Del Rio & Cody Rhodes when Show pinned Cody after the chokeslam.
-Nikki Bella(w/ Brie Bella) d. Beth Phoenix via rollup in a lumberjill match to win the Women's Title...Beth appeared to tweak her knee or ankle shortly before the end of the match.
-Mark Henry d. World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy in a non-title match with Daniel Bryan as the special guest referee. Bryan tried to provoke Sheamus(since he's on probation and will be fired if he hits an official), then fast-counted Sheamus down after a single clothesline from Henry. Bryan threw off the striped shirt after the match and Sheamus attacked him(since he was no longer a referee), then Brogue-Kicked Henry only to be taken down in the YES~! Lock by Bryan.
-U.S. Champion Santino Marella & Zack Ryder d. Tag Team Champions Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes)(n/t) when Santino pinned Primo after the Cobra.

FCW TV
Commentators: Chris Russo, Byron Saxton, & S. William Regal. Ring announcer: Caylee Turner.
Jason Jordan vs. Damien Sandow: Lights! Spotlight please! Sandow enlightens us...you're welcome. The fans chant "Diva" because Sandow has pink tights. The commentators refer to Sandow as a "Smackdown superstar" though he hasn't actually debuted in the ring on WWE TV yet. Sandow wastes no time cheating with a pull of the tights and a yank of the hair...then he rolls out to regroup when that doesn't work. An eyerake finally gives Sandow an advantage...he actually pulls out the Cattle Mutilation at one point. CARTWHEEL~! Jordan comes back with a running Buff Blockbuster for a near-fall but gets pulled into the turnbuckles by the tights. Sandow teases the M-14 neckbreaker but Jordan escapes the move and gets a bridging O'Connor Roll for the upset pin!
Conor O'Brian(w/ Kenneth Cameron) vs. Jiro Takizawa: Don't know if The Ascension is at "full force" but at least we have more than one active member in the group. IT'S THE BIG FOOT finishes in short order.
Women's Champion Raquel Diaz enlightens us...why not?
The commentators give us an injury update on Roman Leakee...he'll be out of action for a little while longer. In a pre-recorded interview, Leakee says that he'll reveal the identity of his attacker in due time. He talks about WrestleMania and the Hall Of Fame induction of Yokozuna...he had to miss it due to his knee injury, but he vows to make it to Mania XXIX.
Aiden English vs. Bray Wyatt(w/ Eli Cottonwood): Wyatt is the artist formerly known as Husky Harris...he shakes the referee's hand before the matchup and also shakes English's hand. Wyatt dominates, quickly delivering a huge avalanche and the Wave Of The Future. Wyatt picks him up only to drop him with a huge uranagi before getting the academic pin.
Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is next on the microphone...he has a tough title defense next week against Kassius Ohno.
Corey Graves & Jake Carter(w/ Abraham Washington) vs. Mike Dalton & C.J. Parker for the Tag Team Titles: A.W. is introduced as a "WWE Superstar"...that's stretching it a bit. Parker is a former Tag Champ and Dalton was briefly Heavyweight Champion so they're no strangers to gold...though this is their first match as a team. Dalton tries for a sunset flip out of the corner on Graves, but Carter gets the tag and nails Dalton from behind. Dalton nicely counters a double-team attempt with a double armdrag and tags in Parker...C.J. cleans house and double-clotheslines the champs to the floor, then he takes out Carter with a plancha as Dalton nails the suicide dive on Graves!
The challengers fall victim to another blind tag as Graves levels Parker with a cheapshot...the champs utilize the dreaded abdominal-stretch-with-assist for extra damage. The ref finally catches the illegal leverage, but it's not enough of an opening for C.J. to tag out of the match. Parker finally backflips out of a double back suplex attempt, dodges Graves, and low-bridges Carter out of the ring...hot tag to Dalton! Dalton's a house afire, nearly pinning Graves with a rana before Carter breaks it up. C.J. takes himself and Carter out of the ring and A.W. argues with the ref, allowing Carter to hit Dalton in the throat with his manager's walking stick! That's enough for Graves to roll up Dalton for the cheap win to retain the Tag Titles...
Next week: Seth Rollins vs. Kassius Ohno for the Heavyweight Title. So long from the Sunshine State!

-Roderick Strong(w/ Truth Martini & Tommaso Ciampa) d. Jay Lethal to win the T.V. Title; Strong dropkicked Lethal to the floor at a key moment and Ciampa rammed Lethal into the ringpost before throwing him back in the ring. Strong capitalized with a Falcon Arrow backbreaker to get the win and the title. Ciampa tossed the belt to Strong before leaving the ringside area.

Location: Comedy Etc. II
Emcee: J.C. Sibala

Headliner: David Beck
Always good to get on stage for a guest set...I finally got a few new ideas written down this week but they aren't complete jokes so I didn't try them. I attempted to pace myself better and feel like I did okay...it's only when I listen back to my set recordings that I realize how fast I talk. Guess it's an open-mic mentality where I want to get everything in, so to speak. Decent audience for the late show, at any rate. Not much else to say...hopefully I can get some more writing done in the near future.

FCW TV 4/15
Commentators: Jim Ross, Chris Russo, & S. William Regal. Ring announcer: Caylee Turner. I note that the broadcast table has been moved to ringside in recent weeks...
Xavier Woods, C.J. Parker, & Jason Jordan vs. Tag Team Champion Corey Graves & Jake Carter & Brad Maddox(w/ Abraham Washington): Abe enlightens us before the match and personally introduces his trio. Graves kicks out of an attempted O'Connor Roll by Jordan, leading to Carter pulling the ropes apart so Jordan tumbles all the way to the floor. Carter is already a company man as he has his Twitter handle on his tights. Jordan ducks and dodges his way to his corner...despite the heel trio's best efforts, he finally makes the hot tag to Xavier! Chaos breaks loose as the faces clear the ring...J.R. sneaks in a Vader reference regarding Carter(Vader's son) shortly before Xavier hits Lost In The Woods(sliding Flatliner on a kneeling Carter) for the win over one of the Tag Champs!
Mike Dalton vs. Kazma Sakamoto: The commentators discuss the respective training of the competitors(Lance Storm and the Kaientai Dojo, in that order). Good solid match between these two...Dalton was only champion for a short time but that elevated his status quite a bit. Sakamoto controls the action for a while but jumps off the second rope right into Dalton's raised boot. El Big Comeback ensues...Sakamoto blocks an attempt at the elevated DDT, but Dalton stuns him with a spinkick and hits the finisher on the second try for the victory.
Adam Mercer is coming soon...
Raquel Diaz vs. Audrey Marie for the Women's Title: Raquel won the title from Audrey several months ago and they've fought a few times since then. Raquel teases a Gory Bomb but Audrey backdrops her way out of it...only for Raquel to counter into a rollup pin with a handful of denim for the cheap fall.
Jiro Takizawa vs. Big E Langston: Big E got some WWE TV exposure recently at John Cena's training facility...Regal suggests a partnership with Mark Henry and that seems like a natural fit. I don't see this matchup being too competitive...he finishes with the Big Ending in short order.
Husky Harris(w/ Eli Cottonwood) enlightens us once again...
Benicio Salazar vs. Kassius Ohno: Salazar is making his FCW TV debut...he was known in Mexico as El Hijo Del Medico Asesino and Terror Negro. I don't see this going well for him...Regal notes that Ohno has lost a lot of weight in the time he's known him. Ohno uses a unique jawbreaker variation as he delivers it to the side of the head rather than directly to the chin...Regal makes note of that fact. Salazar gets a good run of offense and gets a near-fall with a La Majistral cradle, but Ohno blocks a monkeyflip attempt and shoves him into the ropes for the ROARING ELBOW~! That'll do it.
Dean Ambrose vs. James Bronson, tap-out match: This is essentially a submission match under a different name...of course Regal has an interest in this match due to his recent issues with Ambrose. Ambrose goes right on the attack, not even waiting for the opening bell...I'm sure some would classify this as an MMA-style match as they exchange a lot of mat grappling. Ambrose maneuvers into his Death Wish II reverse armbar, but Ambrose escapes the predicament and beats Bronson down. Bronson blocks a knee trembler attempt to deliver an exploder suplex, but misses a forearm strike and gets caught with the knee trembler on this exchange. Ambrose glares at Regal before locking Bronson in the Regal Stretch...Regal suddenly walks away from the broadcast table and leaves the ringside area at that point. Bronson finally taps out to the hold, but Ambrose is upset about Regal's actions and follows him to the backstage area. He can't find Regal, so he vents his frustrations to the nearby cameraman...he's lost a lot in life and now Regal is denying him something else: His rematch!
So long from the Sunshine State!

WWE Raw
-Commentators: Jerry Lawler & Michael Cole.
-C.M. Punk d. Mark Henry in a no-countout-no-DQ match to retain the WWE Title, getting the pin after a chair-assisted Macho Elbow. Chris Jericho(from the safety of the Titantron) announced that he would face Punk at Extreme Rules in a Chicago Street Fight.
-Santino Marella d. David Otunga via Cobra to retain the U.S. Title.
-Zack Ryder vs. Kane never officially started as Kane attacked Ryder before the bell and destroyed him, ending with a chokeslam.
-Daniel Bryan d. Kofi Kingston with the newly-renamed YES~! Lock. World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy saved Kofi from a post-match attack.
-Brodus Clay(w/ Funkettes) d. Dolph Ziggler(w/ Vickie Guerrero & Jack Swagger) by DQ when Swagger interfered quickly. Brodus disposed of Ziggler and Swagger, then Vickie kicked Cameron Lynn down to the floor only to be shoved down by Naomi Night.
-R.I.P. Chief Jay Strongbow.
-Intercontinental Champion The Big Show & The Great Khali d. Tag Team Champions Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes); Khali pinned Epico after the Punjabi Plunge(as Show pinned Primo after the chokeslam). Abraham Washington(now going by "A.W.") watched the match from the entranceway.
-Lord Tensai(w/ Adeshi Sakamoto, Johnny Ace, & David Otunga) d. John Cena in an extreme-rules match; Adeshi and Otunga both got involved in the match, leading to Tensai blinding Cena with green mist and finishing him with the Baldo Bomb.

MMWA Special Comment
Another really good and enthusiastic crowd at South Broadway...
The opener was solid for what it was...Osborne had a distinct size advantage over Wilder. Wilder looks decent for a guy who can count his matches on one hand, though he still needs gear. Probably went a bit longer than it should have, though the match was pretty one-sided. The gimmick of always throwing his opponent over the top rope since he's Battle Royal Champion is a nice touch.
Osborne and Hawkins had a busy Saturday as they worked AAPW in Harrisburg and then drove to St. Louis for this show...admirable work ethic on their part.
Kinda depressing to see LMC lose to Jimmy D...odd to push a tag team by having them win separate one-on-one matches.
The intermission setup was unusual as they took an intermission after the second match and then another after the fourth match...though they often do a mid-show intermission and then an intermission before the final match of the night.
Archer's title win was a slight surprise but it's been a little while since a solid heel has held the Jr. Heavyweight Title. Archer hadn't held a belt since the FTW No Limits Title several years ago.
Another good matchup between Espinosa and Gary Jackson...figured they'd have hyped the rematch a bit more beforehand. Odd post-match promo from Espinosa as he thanked the fans for their support of both himself and independent wrestling in general...then let us know that we still sucked. Ha ha.
Had heard that Ian Storm was returning to the ring but the name change was a slight surprise...had heard that he wanted a fresh start. He's gotten himself into great physical shape and looked sharp considering he hadn't wrestled in a couple of years. JOHN WU DROPKICK~!
Bill Murray had wrestled as Mark Merrik a few times but seems to be going by his real name now. That might be a tricky one to use since there's a more famous individual by that name...heh. The match with Frankie D was basically a squash.
The tag title match was...yeah.
Odd way to close the show...figured the non-title match meant Vaughn was winning though Chase King has picked up a few bigger victories recently. Fairly short match, but then it was 10:30 by the time it started...
Next weekend is SICW in East Carondelet...will need to check the May schedule and see what's on tap. Looks like St. Louis Anarchy on 5/5 and MECW on 5/12.

Comedy Part 442: Roast Of Aaron Brooks
Location: Fitz's
Emcee: John Venegoni
After: Nick Branson
Before: Joe "The Animal" Lancey
Getting the formalities out of the way...it was my first show at Fitz's. Wish I could make it to more shows there but I usually have to work Friday mornings. I wrote a few things ahead of time, but I feel like my best lines were ones I wrote earlier in the evening. I didn't have jokes for everybody on the dais and not everything worked too well, but it was one of those nights where that didn't matter too much.
I honestly wish I knew Aaron better. He's a good guy who is always cool to the people around him and I wish him(and Brian Kinsella) all the best in Texas. This was a great show and very entertaining for everyone involved, from the comedians who performed to the people in attendance. That's the great thing about this comedy scene: You have to keep writing and improving to keep up with everyone or you risk being left behind.

Commentators: Josh Mathews & S. William Regal. Absent emcee: Matt Striker.
Percy Watson vs. Johnny Curtis(w/ Maxine Perez): Percy protests Maxine's presence and Regal actually takes heed, telling Maxine to "stay away from the ring". She proceeds to not listen, making a beeline for the broadcast table to stand next to the resident matchmaker. Regal is distracted and, after a few whispers in the ear, leaves the table with Maxine...hmm. After a brief conversation, Regal returns to the broadcast table...apparently Maxine let him know about Striker's "abduction" by Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins. In the meantime, Curtis tries to climb the turnbuckle for additional leverage on an armhold...that backfires as Watson slams him to the mat. After more prodding from Maxine, Regal leaves the ringside area with Maxine...unfortunately, that catches Percy's attention and the distraction allows Curtis to get a quick rollup pin.
Backstage, Reks & Hawkins meet up with Maxine...then she fakes crying as she interrupts a conversation between Derrick Bateman & Kaitlyn Bonin. She convinces Bateman to investigate the situation, whatever it may be...
Backstage(again), Titus O'Neil meets up with Tamina Snuka...he has a peace offering in the form of a coconut tree. Hey, he stole Darren Young's gift idea...and Young finds out in a hurry. O'Neil says they're partners, but he'll always be better than Young...hmm.
Back to Bateman & Kaitlyn...they find Striker tied up in a janitor's closet. Bateman finds Hawkins' walking stick in the closet, so they know who's behind it...
Regal meets up with Reks & Hawkins...he knows they had something to do with Striker's absence and vows consequences if anything bad happens to him. Hakwins plans to frame Curtis & Maxine for Striker's absence...but they check the closet and don't find Striker. Curtis & Maxine don't know where Striker is...leaving Reks & Hawkins wondering what's up.
Tyson Kidd vs. Michael McGillicutty: Regal is back at the broadcast table for the show's main event. YAY WRESTLING~! McGillicutty counters a plancha attempt by pulling out the ring apron banner, causing Kidd to crotch himself on it...ow. McGillicutty slows the pace and keeps Kidd grounded for a while, but mutual clotheslines leave both men down and then Kidd mounts the comeback. McGillicutty kicks Kidd out of the ring to escape a Sharpshooter attempt, but McGillicutty's baseball slide is blocked and Kidd pulls the banner over McGillicutty's head before beating him down hockey-style. Kidd re-enters with a Buff Blockbuster off the top rope...for two. An exchange in the corner leads to Kidd attempting a springboard move, but MM stops it with a dropkick(PERFECT~!)...for two. Headturner neckbreaker is countered with a backslide...for two. MM snaps off a Saito Suplex to halt the momentum...then hooks his own Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring! Kidd reaches the ropes to escape...MM teases a Perfectplex, but Kidd double-legs him to the mat. Sharpshooter by Kidd...no, Kidd instead leans forward and grabs a hold on the head and arm as well to force the tapout! Nicely done...

The show is built around a best-of-three-match series between Garret Bischoff's team and Eric Bischoff's team to determine the advantage in Lethal Lockdown...
Phil Gunner d. Ken Anderson by DQ when Anderson wouldn't stop beating down Gunner in the corner past the referee's five-count.
X-Division Champion Austin Aries d. Christopher Daniels(n/t) via brainbuster.
Bully Ray(w/ Team Eric) d. A.J. Styles(w/ Team Garret) after hitting him with a chain behind the referee's back. It seemed like Lethal Lockdown would be four-vs.-four(Garret/Aries/Styles/Anderson vs. Ray/Gunner/Daniels/Frankie Kazarian) but Hulk Hogan made it five-on-five. Eric, thinking Hulk would make himself the fifth man, added himself to the team instead of Ric Flair...but Hogan introduced the returning Rob Van Dam as the fifth member of Garret's team.
Mickie James & Velvet Sky d. Women's Champion Gail Kim & Madison Rayne when Velvet pinned Gail after an X-Factor.
The show ended with a promo faceoff between Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode and James Storm...
Added to Lethal Lockdown: Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus vs. Motor City Machineguns for the Tag Team Titles and Matt Morgan vs. Crimson.
Commentators: Josh Mathews & S. William Regal. Absent emcee: Matt Striker.

Tonight will be my first time at Fitz's for Aaron Brooks' roast...should be a good time. Bwahahaha...

It took last night's audience a little while to get warmed up and I don't think I was the person to do that. It didn't help that I stumbled on an early joke tag...always a good way to kick things off. Turned out to be a fun show by the end of it...glad they're not running as long as they had been doing. This will be a full week for me with Comedy Etc. tonight, Aaron Brooks' roast on Thursday night at Fitz's(my first time there), and Etc. on Friday night for Larry Reeb as well as Aaron's farewell show.

FCW TV
Looks like the 3/25 episode won't ever see the light of day and the 4/1 episode may not appear online either. It's safe to say that those episodes were...eventful.
3/25:
-Seth Rollins won an eight-man "scramble match" to earn a Heavyweight Title shot at Leo Kruger later in the night. Eliminations: Kazma Sakamoto(thrown over the top rope by Brad Maddox), Maddox(thrown over the top rope by Mike Dalton), Big E Langston(thrown over the top rope by Bo Rotundo & Dalton), Rotundo & Dalton(thrown over the top rope by Rick Victor with Big E pulling them out from the floor), Jason Jordan(pinned by Victor after a flying European uppercut), Victor(pinned by Rollins after Avada Kedavra).
-Alexander Rusev d. C.J. Parker with the Oklahoma roll-into-a-German suplex.
-Kenneth Cameron d. Nick Rogers with the sitout jawbreaker.
-Seth Rollins d. Leo Kruger with God's Last Gift to win the Heavyweight Title.
4/1
-Leo Kruger d. Mike Dalton to earn a shot at Seth Rollins later in the night; Dalton tried to counter a sleeperhold with a sitout into a victory roll, but Kruger blocked the move and held the ropes for illegal leverage to score the pin.
-Corey Graves & Jake Carter(w/ Abraham Washington) d. Bo Rotundo & Husky Harris to win the Tag Team Titles; Abe hit Bo in the knee with his walking stick as he was setting up for the spear, allowing Graves to capitalize with the rolling Fuller leglock for the tapout.
-Seth Rollins d. Leo Kruger after two Avada Kedavras to retain the Heavyweight Title.
Onward to the most recent episode!
Commentators: Chris Russo & S. William Regal. Ring announcer: Caylee Turner.
Kenneth Cameron(w/ Conor O'Brian) vs. Byron Saxton: Byron is actually dressed to compete...good for him. Byron laid out Cameron with a roll of coins a few weeks ago so there's an issue here...and we're seeing O'Brian for the first time in several months. Cameron is chomping at the bit and spears Saxton right out of the gate, pummeling him and ramming his face into the mat. A clothesline sends Byron to the floor where he throws a nervous glance in Conor's direction before being tossed back in the ring. However, a well-timed shot to the "lower abdomen" halts Cameron's momentum...Conor lets out a primal scream on the floor and suddenly the lights go out in Florida. Thus ends the segment(though reportedly Byron was left laying by the Ascension members once the lights came back on)...guess that's a no-contest?
Aiden English & Andrey Marie vs. Rick Victor & Paige Knight(w/ Sofia Cortez): Last week, General Manager Summer Raw discontinued the Queen Of FCW crown...took long enough, it was redundant with the Women's Title around at the same time. A cheapshot by Paige allows Victor to get the advantage against English...Regal is positively smitten with Paige, it would seem. The ladies tag into the match but Paige quickly gets the advantage...the commentators note that Paige is only 19 years old and started wrestling at 12. Sofia gets in a cheapshot but the guys tag back into the matchup as the ladies take it to the floor. English tries for several rollups in a row as Women's Champion Raquel Diaz joins the fray at ringside...the distraction is enough for Victor to connect with a pair of flying European uppercuts(called Canadian Lifters by Regal) for the win.
Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins joins us for a few words...he wants to give Mike Dalton a title shot but there's a long line of contenders right now. He's got his eye on the main event...one of those guys could be a future contender.
General Manager Summer Rae(w/ Rob Naylor) informs James Bronson of next week's main event: Bronson vs. Dean Ambrose in a Tap-Out Match. Regal pays Summer a visit...and so does Ambrose, leading to a tense confrontation.
Kassius Ohno enlightens us...he's got his eye on the main event as well. Bad puns on Ohno's name ensue.
Husky Harris(w/ Eli Cottonwood) seems to have a new accent and a new personality...
Jim Ross joins the broadcast team for the main event...WOO~!
Richie Steamboat vs. Antonio Cesaro for the FCW 15 Title, twenty-minute time limit: Cesaro has new theme music and gets a "USA" chant...gosh-darn foreigner. They feel each other out to start...they had a previous encounter that went to a 1-1 draw. YAY WRESTLING~! They trade early near-falls off a Greco-Roman knucklelock...Steamboat gets several two-counts in a row off pinning combinations before they settle down into more general hold exchanging. Richie focuses on the arm(ARMDRAGS~!) as we reach the five-minute mark...but during the commercial break, Cesaro scores the first fall of the match with a cradle face-first piledriver(called a Gotch Neutralizer by J.R.)!
Cesaro maintains control for several minutes, repeatedly throwing Steamboat out of the ring to run out the clock. Cesaro's second re-entry suplex is countered into an O'Connor Roll for a close near-fall, then Richie goes to the top rope only to be forearmed down to the floor. We hit the halfway mark with Cesaro up 1-0 and Richie in bad shape outside the ring, but Steamboat slides back into the ring and gets a rollup...for two. Cesaro yanks Steamboat into the turnbuckles to halt his momentum...then a Rude Awakening gets two.
Richie finally makes a comeback with chops in the corner, then a spinaround neckbreaker...for two. Third floor...big chop gets 2 1/2. Cesaro cuts him off with a huge forearm to the back/kidneys and a back suplex for two...he just has to run out the clock as we hit the fifteen-minute mark. Cesaro hits a huge kneedrop from the second rope...for two. Inverted suplex...gets 2 1/2. Cesaro goes to the ropes again...but the top-rope kneedrop misses the mark! Three minutes to go...superkick is blocked and Cesaro dumps Steamboat out of the ring, but Richie gets right back in the ring and goes on the attack. AGAIN Cesaro throws Steamboat out of the ring and again Richie dives right back in...finally Richie skins the cat back into the ring and maneuvers into a rollup for the flash pin!
The score has been evened with two minutes to go...Cesaro goes into desperation mode with a running forearm smash...for two. Deadlift gutwrench suplex...for two. Then a chain of THREE deadlift gutwrench suplexes...for two! We're under a minute to go...Richie small-packages him...for two. Cesaro blasts him with a pop-up European uppercut, but Richie falls out of the ring with seconds to go and Cesaro can't get him back in the ring in time! The match is another 1-1 draw and Steamboat retains the medallion! Cesaro dropkicks Richie after the bell...this feud MUST CONTINUE~!
Next week: Dean Ambrose vs. James Bronson in a Tap-Out Match. So long from the Sunshine State!

Dynamo Special Comment
Really good turnout for Dynamo, good to see.
Guessing it was the pro debut for Dirty Jake Dirgen...he looked decent for his first match. El Sanchez dropped down the ladder in a hurry, sorry to say...
Rough night for Jackal against a much larger opponent...Alexandre Rudolph has been improving a lot.
I mentioned this at the previous show...the Tag Title tournament was REALLY light on heels. All three tourney matches on this show were face vs. face since the heel teams were gone in the first round. That meant some awkward match flow on a few occasions...tag team wrestling is a different animal than singles competition if you're not used to it. If it's face vs. heel, there's a specific match pattern that always works(heel cheapshot leads to face taking abuse, hot tag to fresh partner, etc.)...for a face vs. face matchup, it's a LOT tougher since the fans don't have a clear side to support. Personally, I would have trouble coming up with a match plan if I was a wrestler in a face/face or heel/heel tag match...
Good match between Santana Garrett(now using her full last name) and Christina Von Eerie(who I honestly hadn't seen much before)...they'd had a few matches in Florida and also wrestled at Metro Pro on Saturday night.
Ricky Cruz vs. Kevin X was also face vs. face, but they still put together a good solid matchup. Kevin is moving out of the area so this was his last match in the Midwest...he's wrestled around here since the MRW days. Cruz is pretty much undefeated in Midwest wrestling(thought he lost by DQ to Dave Vaughn and was pinned in the best-of-three-falls match with Ron Powers...he lost the deciding fall by countout).
I was told that Trent Stone was injured, so Cancun Kid took his place...hadn't seen him in quite a while. He had been WLW Tag Champ with Eathon Wright but one or the other was injured and they had to forfeit the belts. Good matchup with K.C. CHEATING TO WIN~! First time I had ever seen a manager(Greg Jovi) hit someone with a hairbrush...
While new Tag Champs have been crowned, the First Chuch Of Karrington(FCK, ha ha) stole the belts so the Bumrush Brothers have to chase them to get their property back...yeah, I also noticed Mike Sharona's title spells out DIC(Director In Charge).
While Cruz-X was the exception, my other favorite matches of the night had the standard face/heel setups(Karrington-Cancun, Pearce-Kahagas). Also, not a lot of flippies in those matches either...SO HA~!
Pearce was an awesome heel...kinda dug his entrance in NWA Anarchy with no theme music since it was TOTAL oldschool. He even ripped up a fan's sign on the way around the ring. When he got back to the fan, he picked up the pieces of the sign...and tore them into smaller pieces. Bwahaha.
Reportedly Pearce dropped the NWA World Title to Colt Cabana on Sunday night...a Dusty Finish could still happen, but I was wondering why Sharona's announcement of Pearce vs. Cruz for the next show didn't specifically mention the title. CONSPIRACY THEORY~!
Anywho...surprisingly light month in the St. Louis area for wrestling. The rest of the month looks like South Broadway and East Carondelet for me.

NWA Anarchy TV #323
Commentators: Tim E.D. & Brett Wolverton.
Adrian Hawkins starts the show by sitting down in the ring to continue his threats toward Todd Sexton. Commissioner Brodie Ray Chase brings out some referees to get Hawkins out of the ring...Hawkins says to call Todd to get him to the ring, even giving out his phone number. That does finally bring out Sexton as he jumps the guardrail, sparking an impromptu brawl that the locker room has to break up.
Tag Team Champion Se7en & Bryan Cassanova(w/ Jeff G. Bailey) vs. Mike West & Raymond King, non-title: I don't see this being very competitive. Se7en & Lane Vasser officially won the Tag Team Titles, but the Elite are invoking the Freebird Rule so any two of Se7en/Vasser/Cassanova can defend the belts. West manages to counter Cassanova's TKO with an Edge-O-Matic, but Se7en takes care of King outside the ring and Cassanova hits his finisher on the second try to defeat West.
Mike Posey enlightens us...he was at WrestleMania, gosh darn it! He calls out promoter Franklin Dove to demand respect, wanting a main-event-worthy matchup. Dove would love to slap the taste out of his mouth like he did once before, but he has someone else in mind...
Phil Gunner vs. Mike Posey: Gunner got his start in Anarchy as Phil Shatter so this is a homecoming of sorts...understandably Posey decides to start the match outside the ring. Gunner follows him out and gives him the ringside tour...things don't get much better for him once they do re-enter the ring. Posey finally turns it around by dropkicking Gunner off the apron, then ramming him repeatedly into the guardrail and ring apron. Posey keeps him down with a headscissors, but Gunner finally rallies with a slingshot suplex and gorilla press. Posey goes back to the knee and delivers a Diamond Cutter(RKO for you young'uns)...for two. Posey goes topside for the Alabama Jam...and hits it, but the ensuing cover only results in a kickout with authority at two. Posey snaps the throat off the top rope and tries going to the turnbuckles again, but he gets caught and F-5ed...that's the ballgame.
The Hate Junkies(Dany Only & Strkynyn, w/ Dan Wilson) vs. The Ambassadors(Jacoby Boykins & Chris Mayne): John Johnson is absent once again, as noted earlier...Wolverton and Tim E.D. theorizes that Johnson is running scared from the Ambassadors' rivals like the Urban Assault Squad. Mayne takes some serious abuse for several minutes but the complexion of the match changes once Boykins gets the tag. Stryknyn takes a World's Strongest Slam and ends up in the wrong corner...but a mutual-clothesline spot leaves both Stryknyn and Boykins down. Tags are made on both sides...Only is a house afire! However, a cheapshot by Boykins allows Mayne to deliver a Trouble In Paradise-style kick...but the Urban Assault Squad's theme music plays. Mayne is distracted and that gives the Junkies the opening for the Zombie Lariat/spear combo! Only pins Mayne for the victory...the UAS members don't actually appear but the mind games have done their damage.
Jacob Ashworth vs. Skirra Corvus vs. Bo Newsom vs. Steven Walters: T.V. Champion Seth Delay joins the broadcast team as this match will detetermine a future challenger for his title. The Delay/Walters situation is an odd case as Delay went back to his cheating ways with the brass knuckles, but the fans just like Seth more than Walters. The action is fast and furious with four competitors in play, usually involving two guys fighting in the ring and two brawling on the floor. Corvus hits the Graveyard Shift on Walters, but Newsom catches Corvus with a spinebuster for the victory and the title shot!

ROH TV
-Commentators: Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness.
-The Young Bucks d. T.J. Perkins & Shiloh Jonze when Matt Jackson pinned Jonze after More Bang For Your Buck.
-Mike Mondo d. Matt Taven with the double-underhook DDT.
-Tommaso Ciampa(w/ Prince Nana, Robert D. Evans, Ernesto Osiris, & Mia Yim) won a four-way dance with Adam Cole, Jay Lethal, and Mike Bennett(w/ Bob Evans & Maria Kanellis). Eliminations: Lethal pinned Bennett after the Lethal Injection(rope-handspring Diamond Cutter). Ciampa pinned Lethal after a knee trembler. Cole(having been victimized by a spinebuster into the edge of the ring by Bennett earlier in the match) managed to rally against Ciampa, but Ciampa caught a suicide dive and turned it into an Air Raid Crash on the floor. Lethal tried to run back out after Ciampa but was stopped by officials...in the confusion, Ciampa knocked Cole off the turnbuckles and finished with Project Ciampa.
SICW Wrestling Explosion
-Commentator: Larry Matysik.
-Ron Powers d. Ricky Cruz in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the Classic Title. Powers won the first fall after a questionable kick to counter a leapfrog out of the corner, getting the three-count with a small package. Cruz evened up the match with a superkick several minutes later, so Powers targeted the leg to weaken a potential second superkick. Cruz did connect with another superkick, but Sean Vincent interrupted the referee's pin count(wanting to beat Powers himself?). Cruz and Vincent fought and the battle spilled out of the ring, leading to Cruz being counted out in the final fall.
-Flashback to August 1980: Ted DiBiase & Wendi Richter d. Bulldog Bob Brown & Vivian St. John when Richter rolled up Vivian.

-Next week: Gary Jackson & Chaz Wesson vs. The Big Texan & Waco.

Friday NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling Results From Glen Carbon, IL + Other Show Results
In the pre-show match, the debuting "Dirty" Jake Dirgen defeated El Sanchez with a tree slam.
Ring announcer Luke Roberts brought out Director In Charge Mike Sharona who invited the four teams in the Tag Title tournament to the ring for a photo opportunity. They were interrupted by the First Church of Karrington(NWA Missouri Champion K.C. Karrington, Steven Kennedy, Adam Rice, Dice, & Greg Jovi), but the four teams chased them away from ringside...Sharona barred everyone but licensed manager Jovi from ringside for Karrington's match later in the evening.
Alexandre Rudolph beat Jackal after a released German suplex.
The Electric Unicorns(Billy McNeil & Jamie Lyte) defeated Dan Walsh & Chris Hargas to advance in the Tag Title Tournament. The referee found numerous oddball weapons on McNeil before the matchup and confiscated them. Walsh & Hargas seemed to have the size and power advantage, but Lyte got the surprise win over Walsh after springboarding off the middle rope into a flying DDT.
The Bumrush Brothers(Shorty Biggs & Outtkast) beat MsChif & Makaze(w/ Magic Man) to advance to the tournament finals. Shorty had some issues with locking up with MsChif at first so he tagged in Outtkast to handle things. A rope-running sequence left Makaze exhausted and not even a nurse's assist was able to revive him, but a scream from MsChif did the trick. In the end, Shorty caught Makaze with a fireman's-carry Flapjack assisted by a dropkick to the head from Outtkast to put away the Wind Of Destruction.
Santana Garrett pinned Christina Von Eerie with the rope-handspring moonsault after a competitive matchup.
Ricky Cruz defeated Kevin X with a forward-roll cradle after a hard-fought matchup. Cruz acknowledged that it was Kevin's last match in the St. Louis area and the two seemed to have mutual respect for each other...but Kevin dropped Cruz with a superkick before leaving the ringside area.
K.C. Karrington(w/ Greg Jovi) retained the NWA Missouri Title by defeating Cancun Kid; Kid attempted to win with a re-entry sunset flip but K.C. blocked the move and held the ropes for illegal leverage to score the pin.
The Bumrush Brothers defeated The Electric Unicorns to become the first Dynamo Tag Team Champions; McNeil attempted a move off the turnbuckles but was caught by both Shorty & Outtkast and they delivered their double sitout powerbomb finisher to allow Outtkast to get the pinfall. However, the members of the First Church Of Karrington attacked after the match and ran off with the belts...
NWA National Heavyweight Champion Kahagas(w/ Keny G) beat NWA World Champion Adam Pearce by disqualification(thus the NWA World Title did not change hands). Ricky Cruz watched the match from the entranceway; Pearce appeared to be in trouble and delivered a blatant low blow in front of the referee, then punched out the ref when threatened with the DQ. Pearce hit Kahagas with a piledriver and threatened to piledrive him off the apron and through the timekeeper's table...however, Cruz put a stop to that and he and Kahagas cleared Pearce out of the ring. Sharona made the match for the next Dynamo show on June 1st: Adam Pearce vs. Ricky Cruz!
