NXT + Impact

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tony Dawson & S. William Regal.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

Baron Corbin vs. Damien Sandow:  Baron is NOT related to Darin and I don't like his chances in his TV debut...at least he gets an entrance.  Sandow outwrestles him for a bit, then offers Corbin the opportunity to leave...not gonna happen.  Baron gets a few flurries of offense but it doesn't last...Russian legsweep and Elbow Of Disdain set up a new finisher called the Silencer(cobra clutch into a Side Effect) for Sandow's win.  Damien decides to speak his mind afterwards...he issues a challenge to NXT Champion Big E Langston.

Paige Knight vs. Bayley Rose(w/o entrance):  We're told that Paige is looking to get rid of the "Barbies" in women's wrestling.  Solid matchup between these two, more competitive than I would have thought...Paige gets the win with the Paige Turner.  Summer Rae runs in with a cheapshot from behind...looks like this feud MUST CONTINUE~!

Tom Phillips interviews NXT Champion Big E Langston...Langston feels his string of successful title defenses is nothing compared to his yo-yo collection.  Enter Sandow to reiterate his initial challenge...Big E answers with a math problem that ends in FIVE~!  I would take that as a challenge accepted...

Briley Pierce(w/o entrance, but he STILL works here!) vs. Kazma Sakamoto:  Briley tries to make the most of his NXT debut with some technical wrestling...Dawson does refer to him as Dolph Ziggler's brother as he does a familiar-looking chinlock-with-headstand.  Unfortunately, the match barely gets started before THE LIGHTS GO OUT IN ORLANDO and Conor O'Brian hits the ring for the Sportz Entertainment Finish(tm)...ugh.  O'Brian destroys both men and Flapjacks Pierce, then Flapjacks Sakamoto onto Briley.

Renee Young interviews Pierce & Sakamoto backstage...rough translation of Sakamoto's spiel is that he wants a handicap match for himself and Briley against O'Brian next week.  Briley:  "Yeah, what he said!"

Kassius Ohno vs. Donny Camacho(w/o entrance):  Dawson asks Regal about Ohno, but Regal says that issue is officially in the past.  We're getting quite a few debuts and returns this week as Camacho has been MIA for a few months.  Ohno seems to be the face for the night but Camacho has a good showing...Ohno gets the tapout with his modified CRAVATE~! out of the Crossface position...we're told it's called the Kassius Clutch.  Ohno grabs the microphone and heads in Regal's direction...to apologize?  Unfortunately, he's interrupted by the Wyatt Family members as they head to the ring for the main event...Bray Wyatt glares at him on the stage and then the family members attack Ohno from behind!  Wyatt calls off the troops...then drops Ohno with the Sister Abigail(swinging Flatiner) on the ramp.

Bo Dallas(subbing for the injured Oliver Grey) & Adrian Neville vs. The Wyatt Family(Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)(w/ Bray Wyatt) for the Tag Team Titles:  The family members attacked and injured Grey about a month ago, leaving Neville without his championship partner.  The belts must be defended, so Commissioner Dusty Rhodes allowed Neville to choose Dallas as a substitute.  The makeshift champs use quick tags to keep Rowan in their corner for a little while...Bray contents himself to observe from his rocking chair on the ramp.  Harper gets a tag but Neville goes aerial to gain the edge, then takes out Rowan with a huge corkscrew plancha!  Roundhouse kick from the apron fells Harper...corkscrew shooting star press HITS but Rowan breaks up the pin!  Now Neville's in trouble as the heels overpower him...he gets a few flash pin attempts on his larger opponents but can't get the pin.  Finally IT'S THE BIG FOOT misses and Harper tumbles all the way out of the ring...tags are made on both sides!  Bo's a house afire...Rowan briefly cuts him off only to fall prey to an inverted DDT for two.  Rowan holds the ropes to avoid Dallas' snap belly-to-belly suplex and hits the Meltdown(!)...for two!  Rowan goes for the move again but Bo slides out of it and hits the spear...for two!  Bo nails Harper but Rowan runs Dallas into Neville on the apron...IT'S THE BIG FOOT levels Dallas!  Tag to Harper, discus lariat on Bo...and we have newwwww Tag Team Champions!

Next week:  Big E Langston vs. Damien Sandow for the NXT Title plus Conor O'Brian vs. Briley Pierce & Kazma Sakamoto.

TNA Impact

Commentators:  Mike Tenay, Todd Keneley, & Taz.

Sting & Kurt Angle tried recruiting A.J. Styles but he walked away from them, leading to a fight between Angle and Styles.  With Sting alone in the ring, Team 3-D and Ken Anderson attacked him...Bully Ray and Brother Devon laid him out with the 3-D.

Women's Champion Velvet Sky & Mickie James d. Gail Kim & Tara Varon when Sky pinned Tara after the In Yo' Face(sitout Pedigree) (referee O.D.B.).  Gail turned on Tara after the match and hooked her in the ringpost figure-four leglock.

Brutus Magnus d. Doc Gallows(w/ D-Lo Brown) via rollup after D-Lo tripped up Doc by mistake.

Bad Influence(Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) vs. Bobby Roode & Austin Aries ended in a no-contest; both teams pissed off referee James Storm, leading to Storm taking out both Daniels and Aries with Last Call superkicks.

Sting, Kurt Angle, & Abyss(entering in the closing minutes of the match) d. Team 3-D(Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray & T.V. Champion Brother Devon) & Ken Anderson; Abyss chokeslammed Anderson through a table and then pinned Devon after the Blackhole Slam.
