WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips, S. William Regal, & Renee Young.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Antonio Cesaro:  Cesaro gets in Saxton's face for some reason and Regal leaves the broadcast booth to pull Byron to safety...hmm.  (We're told that Byron accidentally stepped on the "Don't Tread On Me" flag and Cesaro took offense.)  Yoshi tries to take advantage with a rollup but only gets two...then Cesaro catches a spinning heel kick and slams him to the mat.  Antonio hits a spinebuster and then does the GIANT SWING~! with the fans counting along.  Cesaro glares at Regal before hitting a European uppercut, then wears Yoshi down with the Swiss Sleeper before finishing with the Neutralizer.  Well, that was decisive.

Backstage:  Devin Taylor interviews NXT Champion Bo Dallas.  We're all winners with our main event tonight...well, except for whoever faces him next week because that guy's losing.  C.J. Parker promo-bombs him to set up a match tonight...okay then.

NXT Champion Bo Dallas vs. C.J. Parker, non-title:  Parker gets an early O'Connor roll for two, but Bo kicks out the knee to slow him down.  We're told that C.J. felt like he was left out of the Beat The Clock Challenge...see, he beat Tyler Breeze a few weeks ago, but Breeze was in the challenge and he wasn't.  Parker fights out of a CRAVATE~! and hits the double-knees in the corner, followed by a Harlem Side Kick and forward-falling DDT...for two.  Parker goes to the top rope but Bo hits the ropes to trip him up, then hits the turnbuckle-walk bulldog(BO-dog?) for the win.

Backstage:  Devin interviews Emma Tayla.  She's been out of action with a head injury but she'll be back soon.  NXT Women's Champion Paige Knight interrupts to bring up the previous argument about their miscommunications...

Backstage again:  Natalya Neidhart confronts Paige about off-camera rudeness...according to Paige, Natalya thinks she's a big TV star now(watch Total Divas~!) and thinks she's too good for the puny women's division.  Sounds like a title match for next week.

Kassius Ohno vs. Tyler Breeze:  This is a rematch from Beat The Clock when Ohno defeated Breeze...but Alexander Rusev(whose time was beaten by Ohno last week) nails Ohno from behind!  Breeze just keeps taking selfies as referees and security guards check on Kassius...but Ohno enters the ring and wants to go through with the match.  Okay then...the opening bell rings, Breeze ducks away from the opening lockup attempt, Beauty Shot(spinning heel kick) and that's it.

Backstage:  The BFFs(Summer Rae, Sasha Banks, & Charlotte Flair) hang out but Bayley wants to talk to Charlotte...Charlotte walks away and Bayley challenges them to a tag match.  The BFFs wonder if Bayley has any friends left...we'll see.

Backstage:  Devin interviews Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville about tonight's main event.  Previous NXT Champions made it to WrestleMania and that's what their goal is.  Some tension arises as Zayn says he held the title in his hands, leading to Neville wondering if he's saying he wants it more because of that.

Tag Team Champions The Ascension(Konnor O'Brian & Rick Viktor) vs. Hunico & Donny Camacho, non-title:  Hunico & Camacho do well in the early going against Viktor...at least until Viktor stops Hunico with an STO and tags in Konnor.  The Ascension members drop Hunico with a double hiptoss into a powerbomb, then Konnor sends Camacho and himself to the floor with a Cactus Clothesline.  Viktor only gets a two-count on Hunico on the delayed pin attempt, then Hunico tilt-a-whirls into a small package out of the blue for the flash pin on Viktor!  The belts weren't on the line but we definitely have new contenders...

Sami Zayn vs. Adrian Neville:  These two tied for the best time in Beat The Clock so now they fight for the title shot at Bo Dallas next week.  We're told that Regal has been "called to the back" regarding the Cesaro situation, so Bo joins us for guest commentary.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Phillips says these two have wrestled all over the world, dating back to their first match in England in 2006.  Bo says Zayn has a bright future but isn't championship-caliber YET...heh.  FLIPPIES~! ensue with Adrian getting the advantage...the fans seem to be slightly in favor of Zayn(OLE~!) and Sami gets the edge on the next exchange.  Neville snaps off a rana and Zayn rolls out, but Zayn re-enters with an elbow and Adrian rolls to the floor himself.  Sami nails the no-hands somersault plancha!

A chop exchange ends in Zayn's favor and he nails a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker...for two.  Corner boot...misses and Sami tumbles out to the floor.  Adrian kicks Zayn away and then hits a top-rope Asai moonsault to the floor!  Back in, Neville nails the springboard dropkick...for two.  Enzuigiri hits, but Zayn blocks a handspring elbow to hit the Blue Thunder Bomb...for two!  Zayn catches him off the ropes in a Michinoku Driver...for two.  Zayn goes for the corner boot but Neville gets his own foot up...Adrian tries another handspring move and ends up on Zayn's shoulders...then spins into a snap rana...for 2 1/2!  Adrian goes to the ropes, roundhouse-kicks Zayn down...but Zayn cuts him off on the turnbuckles.  Superplex is blocked and Adrian headbutts Sami to the mat...Red Arrow(corkscrew shooting star press) HITS and Neville gets the hard-fought win!

Post-match tension ensues between the two, but the fans want them to hug it out...Adrian offers the hand and Zayn passes on the gesture in favor of the hug.  All righty then.

Next week:  Bo Dallas vs. Adrian Neville for the NXT Title plus Paige Knight vs. Natalya Neidhart for the NXT Women's Title.
