2014 Result Compilation: MMWA

Saturday 1/11 in St. Louis, MO:
-Brandon Espinosa & Lynn Mephisto ran their mouths to start the show, but ring announcer Ben Simon got a text message from the as-yet-unrevealed new MMWA Commissioner...Espinosa & Mephisto were ordered the leave the ring or face suspensions.
-Barackus(the huge newcomer who interfered in last month's Heavyweight Title match) d. Da'Marius Jones by knockout after a clawhold Flatliner.
-Webmaster Stevie K won a battle royal to retain his Battle Royal Title. Eliminations: J-Mal Swagg by Brandon Espinosa, Jr. Heavyweight Champion Andrew Wilder by Ace Hawkins, Hawkins by Stevie K, Mephisto by Stevie K(after a backfired double-team with Espy) and Espinosa by Stevie K(after ANOTHER miscue with Mephisto). With the win, Stevie K also earned a T.V. Title shot at Jimmy D later in the night.
-Moondog Rover d. Jackson Whitechapel after a spinebuster.
-Ace Hawkins & J-Mal Swagg d. Jr. Heavyweight Champion Andrew Wilder & Flaming Freddie Fury by DQ after Wilder hit Hawkins with a blatant low blow. The match had started quickly with the four men brawling so Ben Simon didn't get to announce the stipulation until afterwards: The winning team would get to pick the stipulation for next month's Wilder-Hawkins title bout. Hawkins wanted a no-DQ match and Wilder said that he wanted Hawkins to put his "Sexiest Wrestler" award on the line against his belt.
-Battle Royal Champion Webmaster Stevie K d. T.V. Champion Jimmy D by countout when D walked out on the match; only the T.V. Title was at stake.
-A.J. Williams d. Dave Osborne; the match was fought in a sportsmanlike manner, but Barackus showed up at ringside and the distraction led to Williams winning after the superkick. Barackus laid out Osborne with the clawhold Flatliner after the match. A.J. earned a future shot at the T.V. Title with the win.
-Heavyweight Champion Brian James & Gary Jackson fought Brandon Espinosa & Lynn Mephisto to a double countout as all four men brawled outside the ring. Barackus joined the fray and revealed himself to be aligned with Espy & Mephisto...the trio handcuffed Gary to the ropes and assault both James and Gary after the bell. At that point, retired referee Jim Harris revealed himself to be the new MMWA Commissioner and suspended Barackus for one month! He said Espinosa would get his only title rematch with Brian James in February and had something special planned for Mephisto at that show...

Saturday 2/8 in St. Louis, MO:
-A capacity crowd of 625 people packed the South Broadway Athletic Club on this night...Brandon Espinosa and Mephisto ran their mouths as usual, but Commissioner Jim Harris ordered Espinosa to sit at the commentary table while Mephisto dealt with his surprise opponent...
-Jake Dirden d. Mephisto with the Asiatic Spike. Brandon Espinosa helped Mephisto double-team Dirden after the match but he fought them off.
-Da'Marius Jones d. Jackson Whitechapel(w/ Sean Orleans) after the Paydirt. Orleans yelled at Jones after the match, allowing Whitechapel to recover and lay out Jones with a boot to the face and Curtain Call.
-Dave Osborne d. Jimmy D with a swinging uranagi backbreaker to win the T.V. Title. (A.J. Williams was in the building but didn't wrestle for unknown reasons.)
-Ace Hawkins d. Andrew Wilder in a no-DQ match to retain his Missouri Wrestling Revival "Sexiest Wrestler" trophy and win the Junior Heavyweight Title. Several weapons were used including a chair, baking pan, and kendo stick. Wilder brought in a hockey stick but Ace stopped him from using it...Wilder delivered a low blow but Hawkins revealed he was wearing a cup to protect himself. Hawkins then delivered his own groin shot with Wiler's hockey stick to get the win! Wilder thought about attacking Hawkins with the hockey stick after the match, but instead dropped the weapon and offered a handshake. Ace accepted the gesture...but then laid out Wilder with the title belt!
-Webmaster Stevie K won a three-way dance with J-Mal Swagg and Sean Orleans to retain the Battle Royal Title. Orleans tried to talk his way out of a beating but fell victim to a "Hadoken" double palmthrust from Stevie K right away. Orleans protested that he wasn't ready, so Swagg rolled him up and the referee counted another pinfall for good measure. That left Stevie K and Swagg to fight it out...the fan support was divided but Stevie K picked up the win after a spinebuster.
-Gary Jackson d. Brandon Gallagher with the Texas Cloverleaf. Gary offered a handshake after the match; Gallagher accepted but then took out Gary with a clothesline. Mephisto rushed the ring to attack Jackson as well, yelling that it would never be over between them...that led to Commissioner Jim Harris suspending both Mephisto and Gallagher for a month!
-Brandon Espinosa d. Brian James to regain the Heavyweight Title. The referee was bumped as Espinosa hit the brainbuster; Espy went for the move again but James reversed into the sitout gourdbuster. There was no referee to count the pin attempt...then Jake Dirden stormed the ring looking for Espinosa. Both men got to their feet as Dirden entered the ring...but Dirden turned around and leveled James with his thumb strike to the throat! Dirden took his leave and the referee recovered in time to count Espinosa's pin. It looks like Espy has a new ally on his side as he shook hands with Dirden as he left the ring.

Saturday 3/8 in St. Louis, MO:
-Brandon Espinosa d. A.J. Williams to retain the Heavyweight Title. Kuro Neko(a new masked wrestler) tripped up Williams on the top rope behind the referee's back, allowing Espinosa to deliver a brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle! A.J. miraculously beat the ten-count back into the ring...he was able to hit a cross-legged suplex into a Stunner for a surprise near-fall...then fought out of a superplex attempt to hit the 450 Splash. Williams wasn't able to immediately cover and Espy kicked out at two-and-a-half. Espy was able to turn things around and hit the brainbuster for the win.
-Moondog Rover d. Rock Lobster(another debuting masked wrestler) after a spinebuster.

-Da'Marius Jones won a handicap match with Jackson Whitechapel & Sean Orleans; Orleans' broadcast colleague Jake Dempsey stopped Orleans from running away, allowing Jones to win after the Paydirt. Whitechapel & Orleans dished out a post-match beating, leading Da'Marius to challenge them to another match at next month's show...but Dempsey revealed that he had received his wrestling license and would team up with Jones in that match.
-Webmaster Stevie K won a four-way dance with Andrew Wilder, Kuro Neko, and Laurence Johnson to retain the newly-renamed Survivor Title(formerly the Battle Royal Title). Wilder pinned Johnson after the inverted swinging neckbreaker, then pinned Neko with an O'Connor Roll. However, Neko interfered after his elimination and blinded Wilder by spitting mist in his eyes; Stevie K didn't see the interference and got the win after the spinebuster. Neko assaulted Wilder after the match...then unmasked to reveal that he was actually Ace Hawkins!
-The scheduled Gary Jackson vs. Brian James main event never started as Barackus and Mephisto attacked Gary at ringside; James made the save, leading to Commissioner Jim Harris ordering an impromptu tag match.
-Gary Jackson & Brian James fought T.V. Champion Lynn Mephisto & Barackus to a no-contest; Espinosa & Hawkins ran into the ring to assist in the beatdown on Jackson & James. More wrestlers hit the ring as the locker room emptied, resulting in a huge brawl! Once some level of order was restored, Jim Harris ordered Jackson/James vs. Espinosa/Hawkins for the April show as well as Osborne vs. Barackus!
