2014 Result Compilation: St. Louis Anarchy

Friday 1/10 in Alton, IL:
-Greg Jovi appeared ready to ring-announce for the show, but instead he ripped into the fans for their disrespect toward himself and also Dan Walsh. The Hooligans entered the ring to run him off.
-The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. The Two-Star Heroes(Matt Knicks & Chris Castro)(w/ Hardcore Andy) when Mason pinned Knicks after the Hooligans' wheelbarrow DDT double-team finisher. The Hooligans vowed to continue their winning ways against the Young Bucks on March 1st.
-Brandon Espinosa d. Matt Cage via frog splash.
-Alex Castle won a six-way dance with "Showtime" Bradley Charles, Geek Singh, Kenny Sutra, Steve Fierce, and Jake Parnell. Parnell was eliminated early due to injury. Sutra pinned Fierce after hitting Sliced Bread #2. Singh pinned Sutra after he and Charles double-chokeslammed Sutra, but then Charles rolled up Singh for a quick pin. That left Castle and SBC...Castle got the final win after a knee trembler.
-Alex The Big Owl & Jordan Lacey(w/ Jacob Dangle) d. Jeff O'Shea & Mallaki Matthews when Alex pinned O'Shea after the Goozleplex(half-waistlock and half-throttle into a released German suplex).

-Adam Raw d. Ricky Starks; the two busted out some "old school" maneuvers and Raw got the win after a big boot to the face followed by a Legdrop O' Doom off the ropes.
-Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett d. Heavyweight Champion Gerald James & Jeremy Wyatt(w/ Dorian Victor) when Fitchett pinned Gerald after a cradle piledriver. James, Wyatt, & Dorian attacked the winners afterwards and were joined by Greg Jovi(looking for revenge on former protege Fitchett). The Hooligans entered the fight and so did Alex The Big Owl & Jordan Lacey, but out of nowhere, Lacey turned on his partner! Vega & Fitchett had won the battle, but the men standing tall at the end of the night were Gerald James, Jeremy Wyatt, Jordan Lacey, Dorian Victor, and Greg Jovi.

Friday 2/28 in Alton, IL:
-Jojo Bravo d. Evan Gelistico with the Samurai Driver(cross-legged Ki-Krusher).
-Brandon Espinosa d. Bolt Brady after the frog splash.
-The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. Dan Walsh(subbing for Darren Dean) & Jeremy Wyatt(w/ Greg Jovi); Devin pinned Wyatt with a re-entry sunset flip after Mason assisted by snapping Wyatt's throat off the top rope.
-Darin Corbin d. Angelus Layne(w/ Brandon Espinosa) after a punt to the groin(would that work in this case?...) followed by a Diamond Cutter.
-Arik Cannon d. Ricky Starks after the brainbuster.
-Roderick Strong d. Heavyweight Champion Gerald James(w/ Dorian Victor)(non-title) after the Strongbuster/flying boot combo.
-Jordan Lacey(w/ Greg Jovi) won a three-way dance with Alex The Big Owl(w/ Jacob Dangle) and Alex Castle. Lacey stole the pin on Castle after a big boot from Alex The Big Owl. Dangle turned on The Big Owl with a low blow, leading to Lacey getting the win after an elevated DDT.
-Danny Cannon d. Zakk Sawyers after a pump double-stomp off the second rope to the back of Sawyers' head.
-Kyle O'Reilly d. Christian Rose with the Arm-ageddon(cross-armbreaker). After the match, the BOSS stable(Gerald James, Wyatt, Walsh, Victor, Lacey, Dangle, & Jovi) surrounded the ring...after having shown mutual respect for each other after the match, Rose suddenly took out O'Reilly with a cheapshot and joined the group in beating down O'Reilly. Gerald ended the assault by laying out O'Reilly with the title belt...those two will meet for the championship tomorrow night.
-Johnny Gargano & Nick Jackson d. Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett; Gargano pinned Vega after a springboard-spike Tombstone.

Saturday 3/1 in Alton, IL:
-Zakk Sawyers d. Evan Gelistico with a Blue Thunder Bomb.
-Jeremy Wyatt(w/ Greg Jovi & Jacob Dangle) d. Mat Fitchett; Heavyweight Champion Gerald James ran out to distract him, leading to Wyatt getting the win after the Lightning Spiral.
-Alexandre Rudolph(no longer a Big Owl) came out to speak his mind on former friends Jordan Lacey and Jacob Dangle...but he was attacked from behind by Lacey and Dan Walsh. That brought out Adam Raw for the save and the four men brawled all over the building...Raw was a bloody mess by the end of it, but he and Rudolph were standing tall as Walsh and Lacey retreated.
-Davey Vega d. Roderick Strong with the Air Raid Crash in a big upset; they shook hands after the match.
-Brandon Espinosa d. Blake Steel via frog splash.
-The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. Nick Jackson & A.C.H.; a miscommunication between the new tag partners led to Devin pinning A.C.H. after the Hooligans' wheelbarrow/flying DDT combo finisher.
-Jojo Bravo d. Bolt Brady with the Samurai Driver(cross-legged Ki-Krusher).
-Gerald James(w/ Greg Jovi, Jacob Dangle, Dan Walsh, & Jordan Lacey) d. Kyle O'Reilly in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the Heavyweight Title; the referee ejected all outside parties from the match before the opening bell. O'Reilly got a quick first fall with the Arm-ageddon(cross-armbreaker). Things got hardcore in the second fall and Gerald evened the score with a side back breaker across the backs of two set-up steel chairs. O'Reilly nearly won with a triangle hold but Gerald hit the referee before the ref saw him tap out. That brought out the troops to interfere, but O'Reilly fought them off to bring it back to a one-on-one situation. Gerald got a near-fall after the Michinoku Driver, then O'Reilly hit a brainbuster onto a set-up chair for another close near-fall. O'Reilly went for a Nigel McGuinness-style rebound lariat, but Gerald ducked it and crucifixed Kyle for the flash pin to retain his title!

Friday 5/2 in Alton, IL:
-Heavyweight Champion Gerald James and manager Greg Jovi started the show, but referee Brandon Tolle interrupted to inform everyone that the rules WOULD be enforced in St. Louis Anarchy starting with this show.
-Jojo Bravo d. Danny Cannon with the Samurai Driver(cross-legged Ki-Krusher).
-Lethal Lottery: Brandon Espinosa & Angelus Layne d. Alex Castle & Thomas Shire when Espinosa pinned Shire after a jumping DDT.
-Lethal Lottery: Zakk Sawyers & Evan Gelistico d. Mason Cutter & Jake Parnell when Sawyers pinned Parnell after a fisherman buster.
-Lethal Lottery: Mat Fitchett & Christian Rose vs. Arik Cannon & Devin Cutter ended in controversy(and an apparent no-contest). Rose hit both opponents with blatant low blows and the referee seemed to call for a disqualification before leaving the ring. The wrestlers continued to fight and Fitchett hit a tilt-a-whirl DDT on Devin; Rose threw Fitchett aside and covered Cutter, making his own three-count. For some reason, the ring announcer announced Fitchett and Rose as the winners after that.
-Davey Vega d. Chris Hero by countering an attempted Death Blow(Rude Awakening setup into a roaring elbow to the back of the head) into a backslide for the flash pin. Hero talked up Vega after the match and said he deserved to be a champion.
-Darin Corbin d. A.C.H.; Corbin issued an impromptu challenge after having withdrawn from the Lethal Lottery tournament(declaring gambling to be a sin). The referee was bumped and both men hit each other at the same time, leading to Corbin falling on top for the pin. (Corbin may have had a foreign object in his hand; I couldn't tell from my vantage point.)
-Jake Dirden(surprise substitute for the absent Adam Raw) & Alexandre Rudolph fought Dan Walsh & Jordan Lacey to a no-contest when all four men brawled outside the ring.
-Kyle O'Reilly d. Jonathan Gresham via rollup.
-The Lethal Lottery finals started out as a four-way dance between Espinosa, Layne, Gelistico, and Sawyers. Gelistico attacked Sawyers during his entrance, still upset about Zakk upsetting him at the previous SLA show. Espinosa pinned Sawyers after the jumping DDT. Things broke down between Espinosa & Layne after Espy accidentally hit her while aiming for Evan; this led to Layne pinning Espy after a TKO. Gelistico went for the kill, showing no hestitation against his female opponent...but Angelus scored the suprise win after a running senton! Angelus Layne seemed to be the number-one contender...but Christian Rose ran in to level her with a Brogue Kick, then covered her as the referee made a three-count! Rose said that it seemed like you could just make your own rules in St. Louis Anarchy...and that brought out Mat Fitchett for an impromptu battle. Fitchett would go on to pin Rose after a cradle piledriver and he was declared the winner and top contender to the title!
-Gerald James(w/ Greg Jovi) d. Takaaki Watanabe in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the Heavyweight Title. James distracted the referee as Jovi snapped Watanabe's throat off the middle rope, leading to James scoring a cheap first pinfall. Watanabe rallied to even the score after a cradle back suplex. The ref was knocked down and Gary's Mom entered the ring for a cheapshot...on Gerald James, leading to Watanabe scoring a near-fall. In the end, Gerald got the deciding fall after a flying Flatliner off the second rope, retaining his title.

Friday 7/25 in Alton, IL:
-Danny Adams, Shane Sabre, & Channing Decker d. Ashley Sixx, John Greed, & Michael Schofield when Adams pinned Schofield after a Codebreaker.
-Johnny Gargano d. A.C.H. by blocking a La Majistral cradle for his own pinning combination. Gargano said that when he returns to St. Louis Anarchy, he wants a shot at the title.
-Thomas Shire d. Evan Gelistico after a UFO-style spinning torture rack and drop.
-Arik Cannon d. Zakk Sawyers after a hanging neckbreaker.
-Davey Vega d. Christian Rose(w/ Greg Jovi) after the Air Raid Crash. Vega said that he doesn't ask for much in wrestling, but he wants a title shot at Yuletide Terror.
-The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. The Young Bucks(Matt & Nick Jackson) when Mason pinned Matt after the wheelbarrow/second-rope flying DDT double-team finisher.
-Michael Elgin d. Jojo Bravo in another hard-fought matchup; Elgin finally overpowered Jojo and won after the turnbuckle powerbomb and spiral bomb. Elgin seemed sincere when he shook Jojo's hand this time...but Jojo fell prey to another cheapshot and Elgin punctuated the attack with a huge powerbomb.
-Kyle O'Reilly d. Jeremy Wyatt(w/ Greg Jovi) with a combination cross-armbreaker/legbar.
-Darin Corbin d. Brandon Espinosa(w/ Angelus Layne); the odd stipulation was that Corbin earned the right to marry Espinosa and Layne at the next SLA event. As a result, Layne seemingly wanted Corbin to win and even interfered against Espinosa a few times...Espinosa nearly won with the frog splash but Layne distracted the referee. Corbin was able to recover and roll up Espinosa for the pin.
-Dan Walsh & Jordan Lacey d. Alexandre Rudolph & Alex Castle in a bloody double dog collar match. The brawl went all over the building at times with the collar chains and chairs used as weapons. Walsh and Lacey finally isolated Rudolph and double-teamed up, choking him out with the chain until the referee called for the bell.
-Gerald James(w/ Dorian Victor) d. Mat Fitchett in a best-of-three-falls tables-ladders-and-chairs match to retain the Heavyweight Title. Gerald was busted open fairly quickly and the two brawled out of the ring, leading to Gerald hiptossing Fitchett off the steps and right into Victor! Three tables were destroyed...Fitchett jumped off the stairs to double-stomp James through a table, then later suplexed James over the top rope and through a table. Fitchett hit an elbowdrop off a ladder with Gerald laid out on the table remnants, but Gerald rebounded by hiptossing Fitchett through a table that was propped up in a corner of the ring. Gerald scored the first fall after taking Fitchett down off the turnbuckles with a headlock driver onto a chair. Fitchett managed to stay in the fight, but James surprisingly won in two straight falls after delivering a Michinoku Driver onto the edge of a ladder! After the bout, Fitchett thanked the fans before leaving his boots in the ring...

Friday 10/3 in Alton, IL:
-"The New Hotness" Danny Adams d. "The Madman" Paco Gonzalez after a flying Codebreaker off the second rope.
-Jojo Bravo d. Kyle O'Reilly via small package.
-"Walking Reality" Dan Walsh(w/ Greg Jovi) d. Bolt Brady with a half-crab. Afterwards, Walsh convinced Brady to join Jovi's stable, saying the fans turned on him and they were turning on Bolt as well.
-Darin Corbin d. "The Big Mustache On Campus" Mikey McFinnegan with the Ginger Snap(Diamond Cutter).
-"The Anarchist" Arik Cannon d. Trevor Lee after the Glimmering Warlock.
-A.C.H. d. Cedric Alexander with the Hero's Grip(German suplex).
-The Brandon Espinosa/Angelus Layne wedding(conducted by Darin Corbin) was disrupted by a gang attack from BOSS(Gerald James, Dan Walsh, Christian Rose, Bolt Brady, & Greg Jovi)...Arik Cannon finally ran them off with a chair, but that left Layne in a bad mood heading into the night's main event.
-"The Ace Of Anarchy" Davey Vega fought "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin to a no-contest; a series of countermaneuvers ended with Vega getting Elgin in the Sharpshooter, but the members of BOSS gang-attacked both men. Jojo Bravo made the save and Elgin shook his hand...only to once again attack him from behind and lay him out with a powerbomb.
-Christian Rose d. Zakk Sawyers with a Liontamer-style Boston crab.
-Brandon Espinosa won a four-way dance with Arya Daivari, Dangerous Deveroux, and Alex Castle. Deveroux eliminated Castle with a crucifix pin, Espinosa pinned Deveroux with an O'Connor Roll, and Espy beat Daivari after the frog splash.
-The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. The Viking War Party("The American Viking" Alexandre Rudolph & "The Littlest Viking" Jake Parnell) when Mason pinned Parnell after the wheelbarrow/second-rope flying DDT double-team combo.
-Evan Gelistico came out to complain about being left off the card and being reduced to setup duty...he said he was ready to quit, but got a phone call that gave him a new purpose...
-Gerald James(w/ Greg Jovi) d. Angelus Layne in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the Heavyweight Title. Layne attacked James from behind to start the match, but a distraction by Jovi allowed Gerald to win the first fall with a rollup and handful of tights. Layne gave Gerald a good fight and incredibly survived a double-stomp from the top rope while she was laid out on the ring apron. However, the champion went on to retain in two straight falls after his signature Michinoku Driver. After the match, James had some choice words for his next challenger Davey Vega...they'll meet at Yuletide Terror.

-Jojo Bravo d. "The Littlest Viking" Jake Parnell with an Oklahoma roll; the two shook hands after the match as Jojo wanted to show Parnell the respect that Michael Elgin never showed him.
-Angelus Layne d. Candice LeRae via victory roll reversal.
-Dan Walsh, Bolt Brady, Jordan Lacey, & Dangerous Deveroux(w/ Greg Jovi & Dorian Victor) d. Darin Corbin, Brandon Espinosa, Alex Castle, & Slayde Reithemeyer; Castle abandoned his team late in the match, leading to Deveroux pinning Reithemeyer after a low-altitude sliding forearm smash.
-Gerald James(w/ Dorian Victor) fought Davey Vega to a sixty-minute time-limit draw to retain the Heavyweight Title. Before the opening bell, Vega challenged Gerald to make the match a one-fall affair instead of the scheduled best-of-three-falls contest. Around the middle of the bout, Dorian was ejected from ringside and that sparked a series of run-ins: Christian Rose(w/ Greg Jovi), Angelus Layne, Dan Walsh, Darin Corbin, Dangerous Deveroux, Zakk Sawyers, and Jojo Bravo. The outside parties finally cleared each other out of the ring and the match continued; however, neither man could put the other away despite their best efforts. After the time limit expired, the two kept fighting until Vega took out Gerald with a suicide dive to the floor!
