-General Manager S. William Regal addressed Kevin Owens' NXT Title win and said that Owens would face Adrian Neville in a non-title match tonight.
-The new NXT Champion officially started the show...he said Sami Zayn was in his past and Finn Bálor is in his future.
-Rhyno d. Elias Samson after the GORE (0:32).
-Backstage:  Devin Taylor interviewed Finn Bálor about his upcoming title shot at Kevin Owens...but he was interrupted by Rhyno passing through the interview area.
-Enzo Amore & "Big Cass" Colin Cassady(w/ Carmella Van Damme) d. The Vaudevillains("The Artiste" Aiden English & Simon Gotch) when Enzo pinned English after IT'S THE BIG FOOT by Cassady (2:06).  NXT Tag Team Champions Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy addressed Enzo & Cass from the TitanTron...they seemed to have eyes for Carmella but didn't think too highly of their future challengers.
-Backstage:  Greg Hamilton interviewed Adrian Neville about his main event tonight.
-Earlier today:  Bayley Rose didn't quite win the NXT Women's Title at RIVAL, but her day will come.  Becky Lynch blames her loss on Bayley and takes solace in the fact that Charlotte Flair is no longer champion.
-"The Moonchild" C.J. Parker protested his lack of involvement in the NXT special, vowing to stop the show until he got his way and even wrapping up the ring ropes in yellow caution tape.  However, the hacking graphic cut into the show and Solomon Crowe(fka Sami Callihan) finally made his TV debut by attacking Parker!  We now return you to your regularly-scheduled program...
-NXT Women's Champion "The Boss" Sasha Banks d. "Blue Pants" Leva Bates with the Bank Statement(modified Crippler Crossface) (2:29).  Greg Hamilton interviewed Sasha after the match about her title win.
-After NXT Takeover: RIVAL went off the air:  Trainers helped Sami Zayn out of the ring.  They played comments from the ringside doctor about his physical condition...he said Zayn wanted to fulfill his obligations and went on WWE's foreign tour, but he will return to NXT very soon.
-NXT Champion Kevin Owens d. "The Man That Gravity Forgot" Adrian Neville(non-title) after the pop-up powerbomb (11:42 aired).
