Weekend wrestling

New Japan World Pro Wrestling Episode 9

-Commentators:  Mauro Ranallo & Josh Barnett.
-Flashback to January 2014:  Kazuchika Okada(w/ Gedo) d. Tetsuya Naito with the Rainmaker(wind-up short-arm lariat) to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Title (30:58 aired).
-Next week:  Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Hiroshi Tananashi.

ROH TV

-Commentators:  Kevin Kelly & Steve Corino.
-The Addiction("The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) d. Matt Sydal & A.C.H.; a member of the Knights of the Rising Dawn knocked Sydal off the top rope with a chair to the leg.  Daniels & Kazarian didn't see the interference and Daniels pinned Sydal after the Celebrity Rehab(back suplex by Kazarian flipped into a Codebreaker by Daniels) (12:40 aired).
-Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe spoke about retaining his title at the anniversary show and being undefeated for two years...but he was interrupted by the returning Samoa Joe who challenged him to a title match at Supercard Of Honor.
-Jimmy Jacobs protested the fact that Joe could just walk back into Ring Of Honor and get a title shot...and he said he was more deserving of a title match.
-The Kingdom(Michael Bennett & Matt Taven)(w/ Maria Kanellis-Bennett) d. IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks(Matt & Nick Jackson)(non-title).  Another K.R.D. member interfered by pulling the referee out of the ring after the Bucks hit the Indietaker(springboard-spike Tombstone) on Taven.  That allowed Bennett to hit Nick Jackson with a low blow, then Taven got the pin on Nick after the spike piledriver (11:27 aired).  ROH Tag Team Champions reDRagon(Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) watched The Kingdom's victory celebration from the entranceway.
-Next week:  Jay Briscoe vs. Jimmy Jacobs for the Heavyweight Title.

SICW Wrestling Explosion

-Commentators:  Herb Simmons & Drew Abbenhaus.
-Flashback to October 1983:  Nikolai Volkoff d. Al Perez after a backbreaker.
-Promoter Herb Simmons interviewed "The King Of Chaos" Ricky Cruz about his recent actions...Ricky said that he had learned from his mistakes and had gained respect for Red River Jack.  He also took exception to some of Travis Cook's actions and vowed to get rid of the manager in the near future.
-Flashback to 1983:  King Kong Brody fought Nikolai Volkoff to a double DQ.
-Herb interviewed Travis Cook(w/ "Ironman Ken Kasa, Attila Khan, & "The Icon" Chris Hargas) about his issues with Ricky Cruz.
