A few questions have been answered with regards to championships in New Japan Pro Wrestling...
First of all, the time with no shows at all isn't counting against the champions who haven't defended their titles, which gives IWGP U.S. Champion Jon Moxley and IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Roppongi 3K(Sho Tanaka & Yohei Komatsu) a small reprieve. Yohei is injured and Sho has been fighting solo in recent months.
On the topic of the U.S. Title, the next challenger will be determined by the winner of the New Japan Cup USA which will be held on the New Japan World-exclusive "NJPW Strong" show. The brackets:
Karl Fredericks vs. KENTA Kobayashi
Jeff Cobb vs. Tanga Loa
David Finlay vs. Chase Owens
Brody King vs. Tama Tonga
The NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles have been declared vacant due to Takaaki "Evil" Watanabe betraying Los Ingobernables De Japon, meaning that NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi & Bushi were unlikely to team with him for a future title defense. An eight-team tournament has been announced with the brackets as follows:
CHAOS(Kazuchika Okada, Sho Tanaka, & Toru Yano) vs. The Bullet Club(Yujiro Takahashi, Gedo, & Jado)
Los Ingobernables De Japon(Shingo Takagi, Seiya Sanada, & Bushi) vs. Suzuki-Gun(Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, & Douki)
Kota Ibushi, Hiroshi Tanahashi, & "Master Wato" Hirai Kawato vs. Suzuki-Gun(Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi Ishikari, & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
Great Bash Heel/Taguchi Japan(Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, & Ryusuke Taguchi) vs. CHAOS(Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, & Yoshi-Hashi)
