-"The Arkane Assassin" Killian Kayne d. "The Man On Fire" Kai Phoenix(w/ Heavyweight Champion "The Anomaly" I.P. Mason) with the Karombit(grounded octopus hold) (8:24).
-"The Crowd Pleaser" Karti Marti d. "All Day" Ro-Zay St. James via rollup (7:34).
-"Beach Body" Ryan Ash d. "The Defensive Player" Marquis Harris after a kick to the groin behind the referee's back (6:18).
-Ramsey Rancid called General Manager Sadie Blaze to the ring, seemingly challenging him to come out of a retirement and face him as "The Wind Of Destruction" Makaze.  Sadie said that he's comfortably retired, but that didn't stop Ramsey from continuing to bad-mouth him...Sadie left the ring area with holding his old mask.
-Tag Team Champion "The Black Panther" Johnathan Zulu(w/ Andrew "The Wolf" Wilder) d. "Switchblade" Garrett Shanks(w/ "The Incinerator" Shawn Blaze) by DQ after Shanks delivered a blatant low blow in front of the referee (10:22).  Shanks & Blaze laid out both of the Tag Champs with the Scorched Edge(Magic Killer)...but once Wilder & Zulu recovered, they challenged Switchblaze to a ladder match with the Tag Titles on the line!
-Shylo Nights d. Jackal after a moonsault off the second rope to retain the International Title (10:36).
-Ramsey Rancid(w/ Seer Of The Sands) d. "The Themme Fatale" Alexis Valentine in a Three Stages Of Hell Match.  Fall one(standard rules):  Rancid pinned Valentine via rullup after a mule kick to the groin (1:54).  Second fall(submission):  Valentine made Rancid tap out to an armbar submission (5:33 total).  Third fall(strap match):  Rancid pinned Valentine after a strap-assisted Eat Defeat (11:05 total).
-"The Dragonfly" Chris Exodus d. "Blackheart" Jake Gold via wrist-clutch bridging pin (9:50).  Ramsey Rancid ran otu to attack Exodus, which brought out the other members of Dragon's Guild (L-Ride & Angelo Grimsley) to back up Exodus.  However, Rancid had a surprise for Dragon's Guild:  "The Lobotomized Monster" BLACKWELL(w/ "The Mistress Of The Chain" Halo)!  BLACKWELL overpowered all three of Dragon's Guild before leaving with Rancid and and Gold.  Exodus challenged the newly-expanded Malicious Intent(including "The Rectified" Waylon Phoenix and "The Victimizer" Alister Crow) to a five-on-five match at John Holt Yo, promising a couple of surprise tag team partners for his side...
-Big Daddy Dion d. "The One-Man Zoo" L-Ride after a Shining Wizard to the back of the head (10:01).  After the match, Shylo Nights entered the ring and leveled Dion with her title belt, then challenged him to a match at John Holt Yo.
-"The Anomaly" I.P. Mason(w/ "The Man On Fire" Kai Phoenix & Masked Man) d. "The Fairy Tale Villain" Angelo Grimsley(w/ Raziel) with the Cyberdriver(fireman's-carry Michinoku Driver) to retain the Heavyweight Title (11:18).  Mason celebrated his win with his cohorts, but Jalon Strong made his entrance with his hands still zip-tied after having been abducted by the masked man (as seen on CHWA's social media)...
-1-Up Champion Jalon Strong d. The Masked Man(non-title); Strong attempted his Cahokia Cutter(double-jump springboard somersault Cutter) at one point, but instead pulled off the mask to reveal "Parasyte" Tyler Nyte.  Jalon managed to compete for a few minutes with his hands still bound before finally breaking the zip-ties himself.  Jalon went on to hit the Cahokia Cutter in full to score the victory (5:30).
-NOTES:  It was another busy night in Midwest independent wrestling with Illinois Elite Wrestling having a show in Highland, IL and the Midwest Wrestling Coalition holding an event in Godfrey, IL; a few people worked both IEW and CHWA.  A lot has been set up for John Holt Yo in the first weekend of October (Friday and Saturday).  Attendance was steady and I'm interested to see how the John Holt Yo weekend does in that light.  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Chicken tenders with barbecue sauce, Mountain Dew, and water...had to stay hydrated since it was my first time in a long time of calling a show by myself.  CHWA will be a part of Alton Pride again this year on Saturday 9/12 with details to be announced in the near future.  I return to Edwardsville tomorrow afternoon for Glory Pro Wrestling's first all-women event, which will feature several WWEID competitors making their debut appearances in the greater St. Louis area.  I hope this show draws well so we can see more of the same in the future.  As always:  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.
