-NOTES:  My Google Maps sent me on the scenic route, so it was a good thing I left the house early...I wanted to check out a nearby Wal-Mart for the new Transformers wave.  Still looking for Swindle and Joyride.  Good crowd, seeing as how most of the wrestlers on the show were making their first (or distant second) appearances in the St. Louis area.  (The only people were were known locally were Camaro and Herra (fka Skylar Sparks)).  Official Ben Simon Concession Count(tm):  Hot Dog and Pepsi before the show, Mountain Dew at intermission.  Shoutout to Tiffanie Gordon, who is an amazingly talented artist who draws portraits of the wrestlers.  Crossed paths with Fred Slow at intermission, a gentleman who used to live in the area but now owns and promotes NWA New Mexico (home promotion of HOBO HANK~!).  Other represented promotions were NWA Joe Cazana Promotions (Emery), Texas Style Wrestling (Malone), Dogg Pound Championship Wrestling (Lightning), Kross Fire Wrestling (Martin), Fight The World Wrestling (Cross), and NWA Chicago (James).  Malone was up here several years ago for a training camp so I recognized his name. Was cool to meet some new-to-the-area faces and hopefully they can return down the line (might as well use those Missouri licenses more than once!).  My original plan for the evening was Dynamo Pro Wrestling in Barnhart, but the hot and humid weather conditions led to that event being cancelled...I've been to some scorching-hot outdoor shows, trust me.  I was sweating up a storm last night...at least they had some degree of air conditioning and a steady chair.  Can't imagine how it was for the wrestlers in light of that!  (SICW last week was pretty balmy as well.)  WLW's return date is Saturday, September 12 in Troy, Missouri.  Next week will be busy...Saturday the 22nd has three shows with Cottage Hills Wrestling Alliance in Edwardsville, IL, Midwest Wrestling Coalition in Godfrey, and Illinois Elite Wrestling in Granite City.  Sunday the 23rd featured Glory Pro's return to the Moose Lodge in Edwardsville for their first all-women event.

As always:  Good night, good luck, and #yaywrestling.
