Friday SLA Results From Alton, IL

In the preshow match, The Bearded Men From Space Station 11(Billy McNeil, Alex The Big Owl, & Jordan Lacey)(w/ Jacob Dangle) d. The Submission Squad(Evan Gelistico, Gerald James, & Dorian Victor)(w/ Gerald's Mom).  Dangle tried to hypnotize Gerald back into his Barn Owl personae but the Squad broke him out of his trance.  Despite that, the Bearded Men came out on top...after a sequence of dives, The Big Owl pinned Dorian after a frog splash.

Bolt Brady d. Shane Hollister via small package in the official opener.

Mat Fitchett's announcement was interrupted by the SLA return of Brandon Espinosa(w/ Angelus Layne).  This brought out Arik Cannon and then Cannon's scheduled opponent Jojo Bravo.  Fitchett revealed that he had finally been cleared to return to action and the singles match was changed to a tag team bout.

The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter) d. Darren Dean & Aaron Solo when Devin pinned Solo after their wheelbarrow/second-rope DDT double-team finisher.

ACW Heavyweight Champion Rachel Summerlyn d. Angelus Layne after a Gory Bomb(non-title?).  Gerald James(w/ Gerald's Mom) antagonized Summerlyn after the match, leading right into the next bout...

SLA Medallion Holder Kyle O'Reilly d. Gerald James(w/ Dorian Victor & Gerald's Mom) with the guillotine lock(non-title?)

T.J. Perkins d. A.C.H. with the STF; A.C.H. said that he wanted to face Perkins in a best-of-three-falls match when they fought again.  That match would be confirmed later in the night for Circus Maximus 2013.

ACW Tag Team Champion Jojo Bravo & Brandon Espinosa d. Arik Cannon & Mat Fitchett; Evan Gelistico attacked Fitchett as he brawled with Espinosa on the floor.  Back in the ring, Jojo delivered a blatant punt to the groin for the cheap win over Cannon.

Dingo entered the ring to talk to Fitchett after the match, saying he wanted to face him one-on-one at the next show(February 1st)...Fitchett accepted the challenge.

Darin Corbin won a four-way dance with Dan Walsh(C), Evan Gelistico, and Darin Childs to become the new Heavyweight Champion; Adam Raw was the special guest referee.  Walsh was surprisingly eliminated first when Corbin rolled him up out of nowhere.  Childs was the next to fall as Gelistico stole the pin after Corbin's Soul-Crushing Finale.  Evan nearly won with the Gateway City Stretch but Corbin fought out of the hold and went on to get the deciding pin after the Soul-Crushing Finale!

In a rematch almost two years in the making, Davey Vega finally scored a hard-fought victory over former Ring Of Honor Champion Davey Richards, making him tap out to a modified Sharpshooter!
