NXT + Impact

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Tom Phillips, S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the main event).  Ring announcer:  Summer Rae.

Paige Knight vs, Sasha Banks:  Sasha is making her NXT debut...she's got the looks, let's see how she measures up in terms of in-ring talent.  Hey, technical wrestling, I remember this!  Sasha has some good aerial moves but Paige may have the advantage in terms of killer instinct.  Paige hits the Paige Turner(Lightning Spiral) out of nowhere to get the duke...would like to see these two get more time at some point.

Tony Dawson does a backstage interview with Roman Reigns...he cops an attitude with Dawson and then just walks away from the interview when he gets a phone call.

Elsewhere backstage:  Kassius Ohno and Leo Kruger enlighten us.  They've got issues with Richie Steamboat, Trent Barreta, and now Regal.

Oliver Grey vs. Erick Rowan(w/ Bray Wyatt):  Rowan is the newest member of the Wyatt family as introduced by Wyatt himself.  I don't see this being too competitive...after Rowan gets his marching orders, the bell ring and Wyatt takes a seat in the rocking chair to observe the carnage.  Squash is in season...Wyatt's disciple wins easily with a sideslam.  Bray officially introduces Rowan(no first name) afterwards...

Commissioner Dusty Rhodes pays a visit to put the kibosh on Vickie Guerrero's bounty on Big E Langston...but he gets interrupted by Donny Camacho.  Camacho tried to collect the bounty...he needs the money because Hunico is "stuck in Mexico".  Big E makes his entrance and Dusty proposes a handicap match for next week:  Langston against Camacho and a partner of his choice.

Special message from World Champion The Big Show:  He's answering Bo Dallas' open challenge to any WWE wrestler and that match will happen next week.

Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal for the NXT Title:  To put the taping schedule in perspective:  Jinder's finally in the 3-Man Band gimmick on this show, but Rollins is still a face.  This is a rematch from the tournament final to crown the inaugural champ.  J.R. replaces Phillips at the broadcast table.  YAY WRESTLING~! to start, though Mahal tries to stall and seek refuge in the ropes.  Seth controls the early stages of the match, but Jinder stops a springboard move by shoving Rollins to the floor.  Mahal targets the back and neck to set up a potential camel clutch...Rollins tries to fight back but gets crotched on the top rope.

Seth finally gets some separation with an enzuigiri...that sets up the full-fledged comeback and the match degenerates into a slugfest.  Seth sends Mahal to the floor with a clothesline...then nails the suicide dive!  Back in, springboard knee trembler...gets 2 1/2.  Top-rope Frankensteiner hits but Mahal rolls through into a sunset flip...for two.  Rollins unloads with kicks but gets caught in a tilt-a-whirl slam...for two.  Jinder goes to the second rope but jumps off into a dropkick...but Seth's blind charge hits only turnbuckles.  Mahal pummels him in the corner...bad move as Seth powers him up into a turnbuckle powerbomb!  Avada Kedavra blocked, full nelson slam blocked, but Mahal hits the high knee from behind and goes for the camel clutch!  Seth quickly gets to the ropes to escape, then rolls through a rollup attempt to hit Avada Kedavra!  Rollins hits the Asai DDT(now called the Skywalker) and that's enough for the win to retain the title!

Seth celebrates his win, but happens to cross paths with Corey Graves in the front row...looks like that's our next title feud.

Next week:  World Champion The Big Show vs. Bo Dallas, Big E Langston vs. Donny Camacho & a partner of his choice.
