Saturday DPW(GCW Reunion) Results From Glen Carbon, IL + Other Show Results

In the pre-show match, Max Archer defeated Brandon Gallagher(w/ Tiffany LaFane) with the Michinoku Driver.  The building was already packed and the line was out the door!  (The final attendance number was said to be 496.)

The main show began with some words from original GCW ring announcer Brian Thompson as well as special guest Beautiful Bobby Eaton.  After that, they had a ten-bell salute for another former GCW ring announcer, Adam Starr(who died in a car accident earlier this year).

MsChif(w/ Magic Man) and the returning Daizee Haze came out to say a few words but "Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent interrupted the proceedings.  This brought out Big Bad Ben to powerbomb Vincent...MsChif made a pin cover with Daizee counting three.  After scraping himself off the mat, Sean demanded a real match with MsChif...

MsChif(w/ Magic Man & Daizee Haze) d. Sean Vincent; Magic Man distracted the ref as Sean set up a superplex, giving MsChif the opening to blind Vincent with green mist.  Ben came back out and chokeslammed Sean off the turnbuckles, giving MsChif the win.

In one of many one-night in-ring returns, Jynx pinned old rival Jackal with a La Majistral cradle.  Jynx decided to dust off his old "Great Bukkake" mask at one point...bwahahaha.

Fantastic C.J. McManus(w/ Dancin' James Brown) out-danced Super Electro en route to victory with his trademark superkick.

The Old School Warriors(Keith Smith & Chaz Wesson) reunited under the management of Coach Chuck Farley and teamed with none other than Keith Smith Jr. to take on the trio of Ian Storm(aka Ken Kasa), Chris Hargas, & David Cox.  The opposing team tried to isolate the less experienced Keith Jr., but the OSWs were well-versed in underhanded tactics as Keith Sr. took out Cox with a chain that Farley had passed into the ring.  Keith Jr. speared Cox, then his father finished the job with the figure-four leglock.

Evil Jim, Crystal, and Sadie Blaze presented a GCW Legacy Award to former promoter Big Bad Ben.

"The Incomparable" Tommy Jeans did the honors of introducing Jack Adonis for the Alaskan Death Match...

"The Alaskan Heartthrob" Jack Adonis(w/ Aurora Borealis) d. Tag Team Champion Outtkast in an Alaskan Death Match; the chairs took just as much abuse as the participants in this one.  Both men were left bloody and Outtkast pulled off a few aerial moves from his old repertoire.  Outtkast delivered a sick piledriver through four set-up chairs, but Aurora fastballed another chair into Outtkast's face to give Adonis the cheap win.

Pete Madden came out dressed as The Iron Sheik and ranted for a little while, but Nikki Strychnine interrupted and wiped him out with a kendo stick.  That brought out Madden's Syndicate partner Mike Sharona who, as the Director-In-Charge of Dynamo, appointed "Head Sexy Official" Sean Vincent as the referee for their matchup.

Mike Sharona d. Nikki Strychnine(w/ Sindy & Rat Boy); this was essentially a hardcore match with Vincent showing bias toward his old Syndicate partner.  Sharona took an insane top-rope Frankensteiner through a table on the floor, but Madden came back out to attack Nikki.  Pete and Sean held Nikki down for Sharona's frog splash to help him win.

In a battle between the first and last GCW Light Heavyweight Champions, Steven Kennedy(w/ Tiffany LaFane and the old title belt) defeated Makaze(w/ Magic Man).  Makaze appeared to have the match won after the Osaka Jam but Tiffany distracted the referee...that allowed SSK to recover and get the win with a small package.  Makaze got some retribution by planting a kiss on Tiffany afterwards(though I'm not sure how that works when you're wearing a mask).

Kory Twist was scheduled to face Tag Team Champion Shorty Biggs one-on-one, but manager Travis Cook brought out a third participant:  Former GCW Champ Kevin X in old-school "Pretty Boy" mode.  Cook promised not to interfere but got himself ejected fairly quickly...after a competitive triple threat match, Kevin X got the win after hitting Twist with the Pavement Drop(Flatliner, known as the Makeover in his Pretty Boy days).

Jim, Crystal, & Sadie presented another GCW Legacy Award to "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden who joked that he never quite accomplished his wrestling goals but had a lot of fun on the journey.

Billy McNeil defeated old rival Delirious in a battle that had history dating all the way back to Delirious' pro debut against Billy in 2001.  Billy avoided the Shadows Over Hell and went back to his old repertoire with the Trigger Effect(now better known as the Widow's Peak), then finished with the Pac-Man Attack(half-turn frog splash).  Delirious threw my Wayne's World cap afterwards for old time's sake.

With Dingo as the special guest referee, Dan Walsh defeated K.C. Karrington(w/ Greg Jovi) in a street fight to win the Heavyweight Title.  It was another bloody battle as the weapons included a stop sign, a spare turnbuckle hook, a cane, and even thumbtacks!  Dingo ejected Jovi midway through the match.  Both men felt the tacks before it was all over, but Walsh got the win after the half-nelson slam onto the tacks!

The night capped off with a Gateway Rumble...I lost track of the eliminations, but here's the full list of entries:  Tree(w/ Johnny Greenpeace), Pete Madden, Brandon Gallagher, Super Electro, Rat Boy(w/ Sindy), Dice, The Old School Warriors(Chaz, Keith, Keith Jr., AND Coach), D.N.S.(Jimmy Charisma & Melvin Talent), Max Archer, Dash Rando, Kevin X, Reid Reign, Team Trainee(Trainee #3 & Trainee #10), Magic Man(w/ MsChif), Jackal, Pondula(getting up from his internet broadcasting table to enter the ring), Billy McNeil, Jynx, Tag Team Champion Outtkast, and Super Castaldi.  Highlights included Pete's entertaining exchange with Tree as well as Chaz & Keith actually tossing out Keith Jr.  Surprisingly it came down to Jackal and Rat Boy...despite a missed Dolphin Dive, Rat Boy managed to low-bridge Jackal out of the ring for the win!
