Pro Wrestling Collision #3
Commentators: Kevin Hunsperger & Jerome Cusson.
Hey, I recognize those two fans(Corey and Emily)!
Promoter Chris Hagstrom introduces Shane Rich as the newest official member of the roster...good to see him back after his long injury layoff. The fans seem to think he's ready to return, but taking on Bull Bronson is a tall order. Enter Blake Steel...haven't seen him in quite a while. Rich wants to make his return to the ring and Steel is happy to volunteer himself as an opponent...that'll work.
Justice vs. Blake Steel: Wonder if Justice takes exception to Rich casually referring to this as a "warmup" for Steel. Blake is billed as being from "the closest mirror". Steel surprisingly controls a lot of the match against his larger opponent...Justice overpowers him in his rally, but Steel is able to muscle him up into torture-rack position and dump him face-first to the mat for the hard-fought win.
Alex Castle & Angelus Layne vow to win the gold in PWC...
The Kings Of The Armory(Sugar Dunkerton & Aaron Epic) vs. Oliver Grimsley & Eddie Graves: Saw Dunkerton earlier in his career when he competed for NWA Anarchy as Kareem Abdul-Jamar...he's now a regular for CHIKARA. Grimsley seems to have a Clockwork Orange motif. Grimsley & Graves were trained by the Dudley Boys/Team 3-D, we are told. The match threatens to turn into a dance party in the early minutes, but both duos show solid teamwork. Epic fights off a double-teaming and makes the hot tag to Dunkerton...the basketball court is on fire! The KOA guys clean house and they finish Grimsley with a Lightning Spiral/lariat called the Clash Of The Demonhead...Sugar gets the pin, nicely done. Unfortunately the celebration is short-lived as the members of Team Overkill(Matt Cage & Christian Rose, w/ Zakk Sawyer) attack...the KOA members fight them off, but Sugar wants a match RIGHT NOW.
The Kings Of The Armory(Sugar Dunkerton & Aaron Epic) vs. Team Overkill(Matt Cage & Christian Rose)(w/ Zakk Sawyer): The KOA members do well early, but Sawyer runs interference so Rose can cut off Dunkerton's momentum. Cage headbutts Dunkerton, leading me to wonder about the sliding scale of headbutt effectiveness in this particular case. Epic finally tags into the match and all hell breaks loose...KOA hit a double Shellshock on Cage(complete with marching action) and the commentators joke that previous Ryback victim Heath Hatton should stay away from the ring for the moment. The good guys set up for their finisher(see previous match) but Cage pulls Sugar out of the ring and runs him into the guardrail...and Rose rolls up Epic with feet on the ropes for the cheap win.
Tag Team Champions Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins are ready to defend their belts.
Mikey McFinnegan vs. Bull Bronson: "The Big Mustache On Campus" manages to not die for a little while...he even hides under the ring for his own personal safety. Facial hair has really become a "thing" in wrestling lately, whether it be beards or mustaches...though I don't think it's gonna help Mikey here. McFinnegan does far, far better than I would have guessed as he gets near-falls off a Steamboat Press and a Lionsault. However, a flying rana off the top rope is countered into a huge Demon Bomb and that's the ballgame.
Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins vs. Alex Castle & Angelus Layne for the Tag Team Titles: This is a unique first defense of the belts for Espinosa & Hawkins against an intergender duo...the champs don't want to hit a woman so Castle starts the match. Despite a cheapshot or two by Layne, Castle takes a lot of abuse from Espinosa & Hawkins before Layne tags herself in. Ace hestitates and Castle hits him from behind, then Layne nails Espinosa when he stops his partner from hitting her. The challengers work on Espy for a while...he gets a few surprise pin combos on Angelus but she kicks out each time. A double-team nearly backfires but the referee misses Espinosa tagging in Hawkins...Espy hits Castle with a uranagi and Hawkins lands the swanton bomb, but Layne takes out Espinosa with the Victory Layne(TKO)!. Hawkins teases hitting her, but Castle accidentally takes out his own partner with a running boot! Ace throws Castle to the floor and gets the pin on Layne...the champs retain and Castle is not happy.

-Michael Elgin won a four-corner match with Davey Richards, Matt Hardy, and Roderick Strong when he pinned Strong after the spiral bomb.
