Midweek wrestling

WWE Main Event

-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Alex Riley.
-Alberto Del Rio d. "R-Truth" Ron Killings; Alberto fought out of a superplex attempt and hit a top-rope double-stomp with R-Truth hung up on the turnbuckles.
-Natalya Neidhart d. Tamina Snuka(w/ Women's Champion A.J. Lee on commentary) via rollup.  A.J. and Tamina attacked Nattie afterwards but The Funkadactyls(Naomi Night & Cameron Lynn) made the save.
-Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston & Jimmy & Jey Uso d. The 3-Man Band(Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, & Jinder Mahal); Langston hit the Big Ending on Slater for the win as the Usos hit stereo splashes off the top turnbuckles onto Drew and Jinder.
-Announced for Raw:  New Age Outlaws vs. Brotherhood in a cage match for the Tag Team Titles.

(TNA XPlosion aired a rerun of last week's episode, apparently...I read they'll air the right one over the weekend.)

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips, Alex Riley, & S. William Regal.  Ring announcer:  Byron Saxton.

NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension(Konnor O'Brian & Rick Viktor) vs. Mike Cuellari & John Eicharino, non-title:  Just barely caught the names of the victims...not that it matters much.  This is a squash with gusto; Viktor pins Eicharino after the Fall Of Man(legsweep/flying European uppercut combo).

Backstage, Sylvester Lefort is conducting interviews for his next protege.  He gets Cal Bishop, but Lefort doesn't like the cauliflower ear so he's out.

Donny Camacho(w/ lowrider bicycle) vs. Corey Graves:  Graves is returning from a recent concussion in a match against Adrian Neville...he enlightens us before the match and says he's not done with Neville.  Camacho's flying solo as Hunico doesn't seem to be showing his face around these parts any more(seewhatIdidthere?).  Graves escapes an early Samoan Drop attempt and takes out the leg, giving Camacho a dragonscrew legwhip through the ropes.  That's enough of an opening for Graves to hook the Lucky 13(Fuller leglock) and Camacho has nowhere to go but Tapout City.

Backstage, Devin Taylor interviews Antonio Cesaro about his refusal of Sami Zayn's challenge.  He already beat Zayn and the match was great because he was in it...'nuff said.

Backstage, Lefort interviews Sawyer Fulton...or not, as Fulton isn't aware that auditions were taking place.  Okay then.

Bayley Rose(w/ Natalya Neidhart) vs. Sasha Banks(w/ Summer Rae & Charlotte Flair):  Renee Young joins the broadcast team for this one.  Bayley wants a piece of Charlotte but she's not her opponent for tonight.  Sasha takes the cue to attack from behind, controlling the bout with a straitjacket hold.  Bayley makes a comeback and Nattie cuts off Charlotte's attempt to interfere, leading to Sasha rolling up a distracted Bayley...for two.  Bayley comes back quickly with the Belly-To-Bayley Hugplex for the pin out of nowhere...Sasha's not happy but Bayley still hasn't gotten her hands on Charlotte.

Colin Cassady vs. Tyler Breeze:  Big Cass' tights say "How Ya Doin'?"  Regal says Breeze's boots are made of Peruvian chinchilla fur.  The fans are divided on this one; some of them like Breeze, others deem him S-A-W-F-T.  Breeze takes forever to start the match as he's still taking selfies.  Big Cass borrows a fan's phone to take a few selfies and mockingly strut around...heh.  Fans chant "This Is Awesome" and they haven't even touched each other yet...bwahahaha.  NOW the opening bell rings and Breeze fires up on Big Cass, but Cass decks him(NOT THE FACE~!).  That gets two and a big elbowdrop gets another two-count.  IT'S THE BIG FOOT...for two.  Suddenly Aiden English pops up on the Titantron...he says everyone's a "G" until an Artiste walks into the room.  He goes into the injured Enzo Amore's locker room...and Cassady's attention is diverted long enough for Breeze to hit the Beauty Shot(spinning heel kick).  1-2-3.

Backstage:  Colin Cassady goes to check on Enzo...Enzo says they just traded words and that was it.  They're not playing games...not chess, not Boulder Dash, Connect Four, etc.

Mike Mizanin vs. C.J. Parker:  Parker's not feeling the "good vibes" lately...the fans are emitting too much C-O-2, we are informed.  C.J.'s definitely the heel in this one and has to absorb an early assault from The Miz...he gets in a jumping side kick for a two-count, then follows up with a double-knee in the corner for another two.  Miz rallies with his usual offense, then takes out the leg and dragonscrew-legwhips him to the mat.  Parker manages a late burst of offense, but Miz rolls through a cross-body off the top and gets the figure-four leglock for the submission.

Backstage exclusive:  Sami Zayn isn't going away so easily as it relates to Antonio Cesaro.  He wants an answer to his face and he'll look for one next week.

Backstage, Lefort is still taking auditions...Mason Ryan?  Ryan says he'll work for Lefort...but only if Lefort can beat him one-on-one next week.

Time for the NXT Title contract signing...Renee Young hosts, welcoming Adrian Neville and NXT Champion Bo Dallas to the ring.  However, Bo doesn't show...Adrian signs the contract, but then Bo comes out dressed to wrestle.  Bo's not scared...he's just getting tired of Neville.  Dallas tells him to take a seat while he shows why he's the champion.

NXT Champion Bo Dallas vs. Danny Burch, non-title:  Don't see this being too competitive.  Bo's not smiling tonight...he turns up the aggression as Neville and Renee sit at ringside.  Bo controls the action and glares at Neville a few times...Burch gets off a few shots but Bo cuts him off quickly.  Bo finishes with a double-underhook DDT...now he's ready to sign the contract.  Adrian gives it to him personally and now it's official.  Neville glances at the contract and Bo drops him with a cheapshot...he poses at ringside but Neville goes after him with a suicide dive!  The two brawl on the entrance ramp as the show fades out...
