NXT + Impact

WWE NXT

Commentators:  Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, & Lord Tensai.  Ring announcer:  Alexa Bliss.

Chief Operating Officer Triple H pays a visit...once the WWE Network is launched, there will be a live edition of NXT on the debut week(February 27th, to be exact).  Goodie...think they'll be loading up that show?

Adrian Neville vs. Tyler Breeze:  Breeze cost Neville his shot at NXT Champion Bo Dallas during a lumberjack match, so we have this bout.  The fans are divided in this one.  YAY WRESTLING~! to start and Neville snaps off a rana, sending Breeze rolling out to the floor.  Adrian does a FLIPPY~! fakeout before Breeze finally re-enters the ring...Neville gets the edge and rams Breeze into the turnbuckle(NOT THE FACE~!).  Breeze does NOT like being chopped and tosses Adrian over the ropes...Neville lands on the apron, but Breeze pulls off a Jericho-style dropkick from the middle rope to send him to the floor.

Breeze maintains control and keeps his opponent grounded, stopping for a selfie or two...but that time-wasting allows Neville to recover and hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.  A spinkick to the gut sets up a low-altitude dropkick to NOTTHEFACE~!...for two.  Neville goes for a springboard move but eats a dropkick in mid-air...and Breeze gets two.  Beauty Shot(spinning heel kick)...is ducked by Neville and he hits a big roundhouse kick!  Adrian goes to the second rope for a Phoenix Splash(!)...nothing but mat and Breeze covers...for two.  Beauty Shot attempt number two is blocked into a sitout powerbomb...for two.  Neville goes to the top rope but Breeze grabs his foot for dear life...they fight on the turnbuckles until Breeze hits the ropes to a well-placed tripup.  Top-rope Frankensteiner(!) is blocked and Breeze hits the mat hard.  Adrian's in perfect position for the Red Arrow(corkscrew shooting star press)...he hits it and that's the ballgame!

C.J. Parker vs. Jason Jordan:  Haven't seen much of Jordan in a long time...he was out with an injury.  Fans still don't like Parker...Jordan outwrestles him in the opening exchange and gets a few two-counts out of it.  C.J. stops him by ducking out of an O'Connor Roll attempt, causing Jordan to hit the ropes rather painfully.  Parker follows up with a Harlem Side Kick...then the Third Eye(uppercut palm strike) for the quick win.

NXT Champion Bo Dallas vs. Mojo Rawley, non-title:  It is my understanding that Mr. Rawley remains hyped...this will be his toughest test to date.  The fans apparently want No More Bo.  Dallas tries to match power with him...um. no.  HE AIN'T HYPED~!  Now the fans seem to think Bo looks like Pocahontas...and a single shoulderblock sends Bo reeling right out of the ring.  Rawley is ready to go, but Dallas decides to take his time on the ring apron.  Bo brawls his way into an advantage...the commentators tell us that Dallas is wearing white because he feels he's as "pure as the driven BO~!"  Mojo turns things around with more shoulderblocks and a pair of Stinger Splashes...so Dallas decides the apron looks good for now.  Rawley tosses him back in and goes for one more Stinger Splash...nothing but turnbuckles and Bo rolls him up with a handful of tights for the cheap win(HEEL~!).

Kofi Kingston vs. Alexander Rusev(w/ Lana Perry):  This is a rematch from a few weeks ago when a slight distraction by Lana allowed Rusev to get a surprise win.  Tensai notes that he trained with Kofi in the past week so he could get used to dealing with a larger opponent.  Rusev's too strong for Kofi to deliver a standard headlock takedown...Kofi goes for the kicks but gets overpowered again.  A flying elbowsmash merely staggers Rusev and the Bulgarian simply shrugs off a monkeyflip attempt.  Rusev slows the pace, cutting off a brief flurry by Kingston to keep him down.  Kofi manages to toss Rusev out of the ring at a key moment, but Rusev evades a baseball slide and beats him down.  Rusev whips Kofi toward the ring steps, but Kofi leapfrogs them and then uses the steps as a stepping stone for a big flying clothesline...that FINALLY gets the big guy off his feet!

Kofi tries to keep his stronger opponent down but Rusev backs him into the corner to get away.  Kofi tries to pummel him in the corner and Rusev walks him out into a powerbomb!  Cover...gets two.  Time to get methodical again...the fans chant "Feed Me More" and then "Goldberg" for some reason.  Now they do the wave...okay then.  Kofi finally pulls out a headscissors from the mat and unloads with some chops and a dropkick.  Cross-body...is caught and Rusev knees him in the ropes, then goes for the fallaway Samoan Drop only to get crucifixed...for two.  Rusev powers Kofi back into the turnbuckles but runs into a swinging kick out of the ropes.  Kofi springboards into another cross-body and gets caught AGAIN; this time Rusev hits the fallaway Samoan Drop...for two.  Kofi comes up with the S.O.S out of nowhere...for two.  Kingston turns up the pressure with a series of kicks, but Rusev ducks the last one and Vader-Smashes him...for two!  Kofi slips out of the Accolade(camel clutch) setup and hits the ropes for another big flying clothesline.  Boom Drop hits...time for Trouble In Paradise?  Lana yells at him again, but Kofi's not THAT distracted and avoids the incoming avalanche...Trouble In Paradise HITS and Kofi gets the hard-fought victory!

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay & Taz.
-Samoa Joe, James Storm, Phil Gunner, Eric Young, Joseph Park, & O.D.B. d. Tag Team Champions The Bro Mans(Robbie Eckos & Jessie Godderz), Bad Influence(Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian), Shiima Xion, & Lei'D Tapa when Joe made Daniels tap out to the Kokita Clutch.
-Bully Ray d. Ken Anderson in a no-DQ match; a piece of guardrail and two tables came into play, but Ray got the win after a low blow and piledriver.
-Madison Rayne d. Gail Kim(w/ Lei'D Tapa) to win the Women's Title.  Tapa blatantly interfered and the referee ejected her from ringside rather than call for a disqualification.  Madison beat the ten-count after a ringpost figure-four leglock and got the win out of nowhere with the Rayne Drop(Overdrive neckbreaker onto the knee).
-Backstage, Dixie Carter spoke to the newest members of the TNA roster:  American Wolves Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards.  There was some confusion about their contract status as it turned out a "new TNA investor" already signed their deal.
-Ethan Carter III d. Sting; Rockstar Spud was the special guest referee.  Spud blatantly attacked Sting when he got EC3 in the Scorpion Deathlock, but Sting threw him off and hit Ethan with the Scorpion Death Drop.  Before Sting could force Spud to count the pin, Heavyweight Champion Brutus Magnus pulled Spud out of the ring and revealed his own referee shirt.  EC3 rolled up Sting and Magnus jumped in to fast-count three.
