To be honest, I wasn't holding very high expectations for my contest performance. I hadn't performed at Westport in a long time, so I wanted an opportunity to get back on the radar in that venue. My plan was to simply give a strong performance and let the chips fall where they may. In contrast to my first-round show in the contest at Hey Guys Comedy(where I went up first), I went up last on this night...plenty of time to psyche myself out. Everyone did really well so the competition could have realistically gone in any direction...I felt like I could have finished stronger, but I saw the light cue to wrap up and did so. Got a lot of positive feedback after the show, so mission (hopefully) accomplished. Next up for me: Open-mic night at Hey Guys Comedy on Wednesday!
