Really glad to see the open-mic attendance turn a corner at the Fairview Heights club...this was the third Wednesday night show in a row with good attendance. There were several new faces on the stage and practically everyone had solid performances. I tried out a new joke that went over well...still needs a bit of fine-tuning, though. Also retried a joke that fell flat at Valley Park last week; it worked a bit better this time around, so maybe it has some potential. All in all, a fun night at Hey Guys...will probably check out one of the Dan Chopin shows on Saturday. After that, my next performance will most likely be at one of the Funny Bone open-mics...
