NXT, CWC, LU

WWE NXT

-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Corey Graves.
-Samoa Joe kicked off the show...the commentators noted that he's not medically cleared to return to action, but he does still have his contractually-obligated rematch for the NXT Title.  He claimed to have seen the error of his ways, saying he was a disgrace as champion...but while he regretted some of his actions, he wouldn't apologize for them as he wanted to become the standard-bearer of the hottest brand in WWE.  He called NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura to the ring to address him to his face...Nakamura was understandably wary, but Joe said that Nakamura truly was a deserving contender and now a worthy champion.  Nakamura had no problem with granting Joe his rematch...the two shook hands and Joe made his way to the backstage area as Nakamura played to the fans(YEAOH~!).  However, Joe attacked him from behind as he posed on the entrance stage...he dragged him back to the ringside area and laid him out with a Rock Bottom onto the ring steps!  Nakamura had to be stretchered away from ringside.  General Manager S. William Regal made his way to ringside to survey the situation, as did Corey Graves.
-Backstage:  An enraged Regal wanted to have a talk with Samoa Joe, but Joe was already in his car and leaving the premises.
-Liv Morgan d. Rachael Fazio(fka Ellering) via guillotine hold (1:53).  Liv took some offense to NXT Women's Champion Asuka Urai claiming to have cleared out the division...she knew it was a tall order, but she was on a roll and wanted her shot at the title.
-Coming soon:  Sanity.
-Hideo Itami d. Drew Gulak with the Go 2 Sleep (4:55).
-The Authors Of Pain(Akam Dhinsa & Rezar Selmani)(w/ Paul Ellering) d. Doug Sessa & Chris Payne when Rezar pinned Sessa after the Authors hit their Russian legsweep/lariat combo (1:53).
-Backstage:  Tye Dillinger admitted that he hadn't exactly been on a winning streak lately, but he would always be the "Perfect Ten".
-Bobby Roode d. "No Way" Jose Valenzuela after an elevated DDT (7:47 aired).

WWE Cruiserweight Classic

-Commentators:  Mauro Ranallo & Daniel Bryan.
-Semifinal:  Gran Metalik d. Zack Sabre Jr. with the Metalik Screwdriver(fireman's-carry fisherman driver) (13:13).
-Semifinal:  T.J. Perkins d. Kota Ibushi with a crossed-leg kneebar/facelock combo (14:51).
-Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano d. Cedric Alexander & Noam Dar; Ciampa pinned Dar after a close-range superkick by Gargano while Ciampa delivered a running knee strike to the back of the head (9:48).
-Before the main event, Triple H revealed that the winner of the tournament would be crowned the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion!
-Finals:  T.J. Perkins d. Gran Metalik with the TJP Clutch(crossed-leg kneebar) to win the Cruiserweight Classic and become the new Cruiserweight Champion (17:49).

Lucha Underground Season 3 Episode 2

-Commentators:  Matt Striker & Vampiro.
-Elsewhere, after Ultima Lucha Dos:  Cortez Castro wanted to bring in Dario Cueto for his assault on Mr. Cisco, but Captain Vasquez said no...Castro insisted that Cisco had become a friend of his, prompting a laugh from Joey Ryan.  A brief scuffle ensued as a result, but Vasquez convinced them to simmer down.
-Dr. Wagner Jr.(w/ Famous B & Nurse Brenda) d. Mascarita Sagrada with the Doctor Driver(Michinoku Driver) (0:56).
-"A Millenia Ago":  A dying father entrusts an impending war to his daughter, giving her an amulet called the Piedra Immortal for safekeeping.  The amulet would ensure that she would never grow old or die...
-At the police department, right before Ultima Lucha Dos:  Officer Vasquez held the broken half of an amulet...Castro walked into the office and said that Dario would be going down.  Vasquez said that things wouldn't go down the way he thought they would...they needed Dario for whatever war would be taking place and she told Castro that he was suspended.
-Mil Muertes(w/ Catrina Perez) d. Argenis with the Flatliner (1:35).  Catrina administered the "lick of death" to Argenis, but Prince Puma springboarded into the ring to attack Muertes.  Puma got the better of the fight and Mil wanted more, but Catrina got between the two and held back Mil.
-Last week, in promoter Dario Cueto's office:  Dario took a look around the room to ensure that everything was as he left it.  Joey Ryan barged into the office, saying that he knew about Mr. Cisco's death and he was a cop...but he wanted to be on the right side of the upcoming war.  He said he did everything to keep Dario out of jail, then spilled the beans about Castro being a cop as well.  He held out his hand for a payout...Joey said he wasn't doing it out of the goodness of his heart as he had child support to pay.  Dario reluctantly handed out the cash.
-"Tonight", at the police department:  Castro entered Officer Vasquez's office and said he was on her side of the "war"...she said he was going back to the temple.
-Killshot d. Marty "The Moth" Martinez in a Weapons Of Mass Destruction Match.  Mariposa tried to interfere and was kicked off a ladder, sending her crashing through a table; with Marty below Killshot on the ladder, Killshot delivered a double-stomp from the rungs to drive Marty through a table below them!  Killshot finally scored the pinfall on a bloody Moth after that (22:25).
-Backstage:  Muertes took out his frustration on a defenseless locker; Catrina told him that he would get Puma, but patience was a virtue.  After all, she had waited hundreds of years to get what she wants...and she pulled out the other half of the amulet.
