FCW TV 5/13

Commentators:  Chris Russo & Byron Saxton.  Ring announcer:  Caylee Turner.

Kassius Ohno vs. Antonio Cesaro:  The Kings Of Wrestling explode!  This is part of a four-man mini-tournament with the winner getting a shot at Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.  They tease their finishers early but THEY KNOW EACH OTHER~! so they settle into a technical exchange.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Ohno gets off a Flying Jalapeno but Cesaro yanks him into the turnbuckles to halt his momentum.  Ohno flips over the ropes in an impressive feat of agility...he backdrops Cesaro the floor, fakes him out with a backflip off the middle rope, then finishes with a huge baseball slide through the ropes!  The ref has to force a break, allowing Cesaro to sneak in a thumb to the eye.

The fans seem to have chosen Ohno as their favorite in this matchup...Cesaro backdrops him but Ohno somehow comes up with a sunset flip for two.  Cesaro cuts him off and impressively hits the deadlift gutwrench suplex...for two.  Cesaro maintains control for a while, but Ohno raises the knee to block an elbowdrop.  Ohno rallies and hits a flippy CRAVATE~! neckbreaker...for two.  Roaring elbow is countered by a drop toehold that sends Ohno throat-first into the middle rope...Cesaro rolls him up with a handful of tights...for two!  Cesaro rushes him with a huge spinebuster...for two!  Neutralizer is countered with a double-leg pin...for two.  They trade BOOTs and Ohno readies the roaring elbow...but Cesaro pulls the ref into the knockout blow!  The match degenerates into a huge brawl as two other refs enter the ring to check on their compatriot...finally the locker room empties to separate the combatants!  The bell rings...so what's the decision?  The referee rules that Ohno wins by DQ since Cesaro put his hands on the referee...but that doesn't end the war between Ohno and Cesaro!  Order is finally restored...Ohno advances in the contenders' tournament.

Benicio Salazar vs. Bray Wyatt(w/ Eli Cottonwood):  Wyatt enlightens us before the match and shakes the luchador's hand.  From there, squash is in season as Wyatt destroys Salazar in short order, finishing with the Rapture(Wave Of The Future).

Brad Maddox enlightens us...he has a shot at FCW 15 Champion Richie Steamboat next week.  They have some history as Brad has been on the receiving end of Steamboat's superkick on more than one occasion.  Maddox feels like he's got the advantage because he has nothing to lose...we shall see.

FCW 15 Champion Richie Steamboat vs. Rick Victor(w/ Sofia Cortez & Paige Knight), non-title:  Victor has Steamboat well-scouted as he avoids the ARMDRAG~!, but Richie hits it on the second try.  Victor turns it around by pulling Steamboat backwards into the turnbuckles, keeping him grounded for several minutes.  Richie powerslam him out of nowhere and mounts the comeback, hitting the spinaround neckbreaker...for two.  Third floor...but the ladies distract him and Victor blasts him with a huge European uppercut!  Victor capitalizes with a double-underhook powerbomb...but can't cover right away and Steamboat kicks out at 2 1/2.  Victor goes for a chair, but it's a ploy to distract the ref as Paige holds Steamboat for a flying rana off the turnbuckles from Sofia!  Victor runs back in for the cover...for 2 1/2!  Double-underhook powerbomb...is blocked and Richie maneuvers into position to nail the superkick for the win!  Steamboat barely has time to celebrate before Maddox runs in to drop him with the Dealbreaker(jumping reverse Stunner)...Brad grumbles that he has to wait a week before their actual match, then takes his leave.

General Manager Summer Rae interviews Tag Team Champions Corey Graves & Jake Carter along with their manager Abraham Washington.  Next week, Graves & Carter defend against The Ascension(Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron), hyped as "undefeated"...busy show.

Bo Rotundo vs. Leo Kruger, contenders' tournament:  A LOT of history here as they feuded when Bo was champion...Kruger claimed credit for the injury that ended Rotundo's title reign in a forfeiture.  Bo's temper immediately gets the best of him and Kruger takes a cheapshot over the referee's shoulder.  Rotundo turns it around and goes on offense, planting him with the bulldog and setting up for an early spear attempt...but Leo rolls to the ropes for safety.  Kruger dumps Bo to the floor, then works on the neck to wear him down for a potential sleeperhold.  CRAVATE~!  Leo blocks a re-entry sunset flip and holds the ropes, but the ref catches the cheating and Rotundo completes the move...for two.  Kruger quickly cuts him off but can't keep him down...John Wu Dropkick(!) gets a two-count.  Final Destination(swinging fisherman buster)...only gets 2 1/2!  Leo gets frustrated and pummels Bo on the mat, then catches him in the sleeperhold...but Bo runs him into the turnbuckles to escape.  They trade countermaneuvers and Kruger hits the ropes...only to get SPEARED on the rebound for the Rotundo victory!

Next week:  Bo Rotundo vs. Kassius Ohno in the contenders' tournament, Richie Steamboat vs. Brad Maddox for the FCW 15 Title, and Corey Graves & Jake Carter vs. The Ascension for the Tag Team Titles.  So long from the Sunshine State!
