FCW TV 5/6

Commentators:  Jim Ross & S. William Regal.  Ring announcer:  Caylee Turner.

Mike Dalton & Jason Jordan vs. Leo Kruger & Brad Maddox:  Interesting pairings here.  The faces use quick tags to do some early damage to Kruger, but Kruger backs Dalton into the wrong part of town and Maddox rakes the eyes.  Dalton takes some abuse for his side but stuns Maddox with an enzuigiri before making the tag to Jordan.  Jordan plants Maddox with a gourdbuster and follows up with a running Blockbuster but Kruger breaks up the pin.  That brings Dalton into the ring and he fights with Kruger...but Maddox surprises Jordan with a flying reverse Stunner to get the three-count.

Women's Champion Raquel Diaz vs. Audrey Marie vs. Paige Knight(w/ Sofia Cortez), non-title:  Always appreciate J.R.'s commentary, though he seems unusually sedated in his FCW appearances.  Raquel and Paige team up on Audrey, but it inevitably backfires and only one lady can win this matchup.  Raquel hits the Gory Bomb on Paige but Audrey breaks up the pin...Raquel follows up with the Three Amigos on Audrey...but after the second suplex, Paige jumps forward into an opportunistic cover on the champ and gets the surprise pinfall!

Richie Steamboat vs. Antonio Cesaro for the FCW 15 Title, thirty-minute time limit:  These two fought to two prior draws(one in a standard fifteen-minute match, one in a twenty-minute contest).  Staredown, shoving, YAY WRESTLING~!  Richie gains control with a turnbuckle-walk armdrag and targets the arm.  Cesaro makes the mistake of trying to trade chops with Steamboat...um, no.  ARMDRAGS~!  Richie goes for a lot of pin attempts in the first five minutes...a wise move in this format.  Cesaro ducks into the ropes to stall, then delivers an elbow to the gut...he attempts an O'Connor Roll, but Steamboat rolls through and bridges for a flash pin around the six-minute mark!

Cesaro freaks and charges at Richie only to be thrown to the floor...then Steamboat follows up with a plancha before bringing things back into the ring.  Cesaro holds the rope to block a rollup, but ARMDRAGS~! leave him back down on the mat.  The match degenerates into a slugfest of sorts but Cesaro has the power advantage there...Steamboat gets a backslide for two, but Cesaro delivers a forearm to the kidneys and a back suplex...for two.

We take a commercial break at the ten-minute mark...and during the break, Cesaro evens the score by hanging Steamboat up on the ropes and delivering a running boot to the side of the head.  It's now 1-1 and Richie starts firing back...but he gets dumped over the ropes and hits the ring steps on the way down to the floor!  Cesaro picks up Steamboat on his shoulders to put him back in the ring(as the commentators wonder if should have just taken the countout)...and the ensuing cover only gets a two-count.  Cesaro slows the pace, focusing his technical attack on the head and neck as we reach the fifteen-minute mark.  Deadlift gutwrench suplex...for two.  Richie strikes back and gets some separation with a back suplex, but Cesaro elbows him in the face and tries for a Flair Pin with feet on the ropes...for two.  Richie rallies out of nowhere and goes to the top rope...but Cesaro rolls through the Steamboat Press and gets a cheap pin with a handful of tights around the nineteen-minute mark!

Cesaro's now up 2-1 and Richie's ticked off, but he misses a Flying Jalapeno as we reach the twenty-minute mark.  Cesaro controls the pace as he can now win by running out the clock...he sets up the cradle face-first piledriver(Regal calls it the Gotch-Style Neutralizer) but Richie counters with a backdrop.  Cesaro comes back to stun him with a close-range European uppercut...for two.  Another...for two.  One more...no, Richie ducks and gets another backslide...for two.  Cesaro floors him with ANOTHER European uppercut and goes for the kill, but Richie surprises him with a small package out of nowhere to even the score around the twenty-four minute mark!

The match breaks down into a brawl as we enter desperation mode...Richie gets the advantage in that exchange and goes topside once again for a big chop!  Cover...for two.  Spinaround neckbreaker...for two.  Cesaro blocks a Rude Awakening but eats a dropkick...for two.  Three minutes to go.  Richie climbs the ropes again...but misses the moonsault!  Gotch-Style Neutralizer...HITS...but only gets 2 1/2!  Two minutes to go!  He sets up a Ricola Bomb, but makes the mistake of talking trash instead...Richie's superkick misses, Cesaro's lariat doesn't...two-count!  One minute to go.  Cesaro hits a chain of three deadlift gutwrench suplexes...for two!  Thirty seconds!  Ricola Bomb is set up again but Richie slides down the back into a sunset flip...for two!  Cesaro gets back up but walks right into a superkick and that gives Richie a fall at 29:55!  The time limit expires and Steamboat retains the medallion with a score of 3-2!

So long from the Sunshine State!
