Lucha Underground Episode 39 (Ultima Lucha Part 2)
-Commentators: Matt Striker & Michael Schiavello.
-Johnny Mundo d. Alberto El Patrón; the referee was knocked down and Melina Perez hit Alberto with his own AAA Mega Title belt. Mundo capitalized with the second Fin Del Mundo(corkscrew split-legged moonsualt) of the match for the win (13:37). Alberto got some post-match revenge, capped off by throwing Mundo face-first through the window of promoter Dario Cueto's office door. Melina took exception to that and got spanked by Alberto for her efforts...Mundo was left a bloody mess.
-Backstage: El Dragon Azteca attempted to rescue Black Lotus but was interrupted by Cueto...Dario told him that he broke a sacred treaty by entering his temple. Cueto told him the punishment was death...and Lotus reached through the bars to choke down Azteca before delivering a "death blow". Cueto let her out of the cell since she had "started a war" with her actions...and he let Matanza out of his cage to accompany them.
-Pentagon Jr. d. Vampiro in a bloody Cero Miedo Match that featured the use of chairs, tacks, and light tubes among other weapons. Pentagon Rock-Bottomed Vampiro thorugh his own flaming table and pinned him on the arena floor (10:55 aired). Vampiro yelled out for Pentagon to break his arm and Pentagon obliged, hooking his armlock/hammerlock hold and snapping back on the limb. Pentagon called out to his master, saying he had finished his task...he called for his master to appear. Vampiro then spoke up, identifying HIMSELF as Pentagon Jr.'s master and embracing his "protege"!
-For The Gift Of The Gods Title: Fenix won a seven-way match with Big Rycklon Stephens, Aero Star, King Cuerno, Sexy Star, Bengala, and Jack Evans; Marty "The Moth" Martinez attacked Sexy Star at one point but she fought him off. DelAvar Daivari took out Big Ryck with a chair and Fenix pinned Evans for the win after the Fire Thunder Driver(sitout Tombstone) (12:14).
-Blue Demon Jr.(w/ Cortez Castro & Mr. Cisco) d. El Texano Jr. in a no-DQ match; The Crew freely interfered and Chavo Guerrero Jr. entered the ring with a chair, but he laid out Texano with the weapon before handing it to Blue Demon Jr. Demon hit Texano in the head with the chair and pinned him with a foot on his chest (3:00).
-There Must Be A Winner: Mil Muertes(w/ Catrina Perez) d. Prince Puma after a top-rope Flatliner to win the Lucha Underground Title (17:39). Trios Champions The Disciples Of Death(Barrio Negro, El Siniestro De La Muerte, & Trece) entered the ring to celebrate with the new champion and Catrina.
-Epilogue: Dario and Lotus packed up the office to get out of town(with Matanza riding in a trailer attached to the limo). Fenix left the building but was being followed by...somebody. Marty The Moth had Sexy Star tied up and had seemingly gone insane, telling her that she'll meet his "sister" soon. Son Of Havoc, Angélico, & Ivelisse Velez parted ways, vowing to reclaim the Trios Titles down the line. Drago & Aero Star shook hands before departing in their own unique ways. Pentagon Jr. asked his master Vampiro where they would go now. Someone else put on the Dragon Azteca mask before spray-painting a question mark on the Lucha Underground billboard(Rey Misterio Jr.?). The parting shot was Dario Cueto glaring at the camera as the lights were turned out in the temple. "To Be Continued..."
TNA Impact (No Surrender)
-Commentators: Josh Matthews & "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero.
-Ken Anderson d. Bram Cameron by countering a suplex with a small package pin (9:26). Bram laid out Anderson with his own microphone after the match.
-James Storm called out Khoya Shera and blamed him for last week's tag team loss...he insulted Khoya's home country of India and slapped him repeatedly, causing Khoya to snap and plant Storm with the Skyhigh. Khoya declared his true name of Mahabali Shera and his pride in his country...ladies and gentlemen, we have a face turn.
-Gail Kim won a handicap match against The Dollhouse(Taryn Terrell, Mia "Jade" Yim, & Marti Belle) when she pinned Marti after the Eat-The-Feet (5:10).
-Eli Drake d. Drew Galloway by raking Drew's eyes, then pinning him with an O'Connor Roll with one handful of tights and one hand on the ropes for illegal leverage (3:50 plus several minutes of pre-match brawling).
-Nickname vs. Career: Rockstar Spud d. Austin Aries by countering a superplex with a top-rope Underdog(Acid Drop) (11:21).
-Mahabali Shera d. James Storm by DQ when Storm hit Shera with the cowbell on his bullrope (1:43).
-Backstage: General Manager Bully Ray was found to be injured by an unknown attacker. Promoter Dixie Carter talked to Jeff Jarrett and he offered to fill in as G.M. for next week's show.
-Ethan Carter III d. Matt Hardy in a Full Metal Mayhem Match to retain the Heavyweight Title. Both men were on a ladder, but EC3 cut off Hardy with a low blow before retrieving the championship belt from above the ring (15:36 aired).
WWE Smackdown
-Commentators: Tom Phillips, Jerry Lawler, & Jimmy Uso.
-Mark Henry & Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) d. The New Day(Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston, & Xavier Woods) when Titus fallaway-slammed Kofi into Henry's grasp for the World's Strongest Slam and the pin (7:28 aired).
-Charlotte Flair(w/ Becky Lynch) d. Naomi Night(w/ NXT Women's Champion "The Boss" Sasha Banks & Tamina Snuka) by DQ when Sasha interfered (1:54). This led to an impromptu tag match...
-NXT Women's Champion "The Boss" Sasha Banks & Naomi Night(w/ Tamina Snuka) d. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch when Naomi reversed a small package by Charlotte with a handful of tights (10:59 aired).
-Stardust d. Zack Ryder with the Crossrhodes (3:55).
-Roman Reigns d. Alexander Rusev(w/ Summer Rae); Lana Perry came out to fight with Summer and Reigns got the win with the spear (11:27 aired). After the match, Bray Wyatt addressed Reigns from the TitanTron...he accepted Reigns' challenge for a tag match at SummerSlam(Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Wyatt & Luke Harper).
