-Earlier this week:  Michael Cole did a sitdown interview with Kevin Owens about his upcoming NXT Title shot at Finn Bálor.  Owens had a problem with General Manager S. William Regal openly saying that he wants Bálor to win at Takeover: Brooklyn; he feels like Regal may try to stack the deck against him with a crooked referee.  His proposition for a fair outcome:  A ladder match.  When Cole asked "can you beat The Demon?", Owens walked away from the interview.

-Backstage:  Regal met with Bayley to request a shot at the NXT Women's Title...Regal decided that Bayley would face Becky Lynch next week and the winner would get the shot at "The Boss" Sasha Banks at Takeover: Brooklyn.
-Tyler Breeze d. Aaron Solo with the Beauty Shot(spinning heel kick) (0:56).  After the match, Regal announced Breeze's opponent for Takeover: Brooklyn:  Jushin "Thunder" Liger!
-Debuting at Takeover: Brooklyn:  Apollo Crews(fka Uhaa Nation).
-Earlier this week:  Byron Saxton did a sitdown interview with NXT Champion Finn Bálor about his match with Kevin Owens at Takeover: Brooklyn.
-The Hype Bros(Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) d. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder when Ryder pinned Wilder after the spinebuster/second-rope Rough Ryder combo (3:36).  Dawson & Wilder laid out Ryder & Rawley afterwards, hitting Zack with the Shatter Machine(Flapjack-into-Codebreaker).
-Backstage:  Regal met with The Vaudevillains("The Artiste" Aiden English & Simon Gotch)...they were upset about Alexa Bliss exploiting their chivalry.  Regal granted them a rematch for the NXT Tag Team Titles against Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy at Takeover: Brooklyn...but he advised them to find a way to "contain" Alexa.
