WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Byron Saxton, S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the last two matches).  Ring announcer:  Chris Russo.

Richie Steamboat vs. Kassius Ohno:  Steamboat saved Jake Carter from a post-match beating by Ohno a few weeks ago, leading to this matchup.  Richie gets the better of the opening exchange but Ohno thumbs him in the eye, drawing a stern warning from the referee.  Steamboat fires back as the match degenerates into a brawl, so Ohno blatantly rakes the eyes...for the DQ?  Wow, these referees are getting jumpy.  Ohno continues the attack after the match and drops him throat-first on the guardrail...like father like son?  He throws him back in the ring and levels him with a roaring elbow to the back of the head...more refs come out to restore order but the damage has been done.  Ricky The Dragon arrives to check on his son, but Ohno has already left the ring and Ricky yells at the officials in the ring for not helping sooner.

Audrey Marie vs. Paige Knight:  After a few weeks of working face, Paige seems to be the heel on this show.  They go technical for a bit but then it breaks down into a full-fledged CATFIIIIIGHT~!  Audrey pulls out a Kiwi Roll but the pinning combination only gets a two-count.  Paige stops Audrey in her tracks with a forearm smash and it's downhill for Audrey from there...Paige gets her first NXT singles win with a cradle DDT.

Briley Pierce still works here but Ricky Steamboat doesn't have time for an interview...then he runs into Ohno backstage.  Ohno informs The Dragon that his son doesn't have much potential...Ricky shoves him and refs arrive to break things up.  "What are ya gonna do, armdrag me?"

Percy Watson vs. Leo Kruger:  Kruger's undergone a change in personality...he didn't take his title tournament loss well at all.  Acccording to Regal, he made a trip back to his homeland of South Africa...he seems to have returned with a screw or two loose.  Percy has trouble getting out of the blocks against Leo's increased aggression...but he gets in a couple of dropkicks and the Showtime Splash.  Kruger stops his momentum with a Stungun and finishes with a corkscrew snapmare driver(known around my parts as Shorty Biggs' Shortcut).

Brodus Clay(w/ Funkadactyls) vs. Ryan Collins:  Splat, big splash.  Collins may or may not have been Brian Breaker/Brandon Traven but I'm not sure.

Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. The Ascension(Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron):  Hey, a tag team feud!  El Big Staredown right out of the gate...the Usos come out firing as all four men brawl and the Usos send the Ascension members to the floor with stereo clotheslines.  A blind tag turns the tide as O'Brian takes out Jimmy with a big clothesline...then Jimmy gets the corner stompdown treatment from both opponents as they make several quick tags in a row.  Jimmy finally catches Conor with a boot out of nowhere and makes the hot tag to Jey...the grass hut is afire!  Cameron gets the Umaga Smash, O'Brian gets thrown to the floor, then Cameron escapes a Samoan Drop attempt only to eat a superkick.  Jey goes to the top rope and kicks Conor down from the apron...then Jimmy dives onto Conor out of nowhere with a huge no-hands plancha!  However, Cameron throws his body into the ropes to knock Jey off-balance on the turnbuckles...rough landing.  He follows that up with a running sitout jawbreaker and that's enough for the win!

Jim Ross caps off the show by interviewing new NXT Champion Seth Rollins...he overcame the odds to win the title and he'll take on all comers.  Sooner or later, everybody gets "Blacked Out".

WWE Superstars.com

Commentators:  Josh Mathews, Matt Striker, & Scott Stanford.  In a change of pace, it's Josh/Striker for the first half of the show and Stanford/Striker for the second half(rather than Josh/Striker and then Josh/Stanford).

U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro(w/ Aksana Raudoniene) vs. Justin Gabriel, non-title:  This should be a good test for Cesaro...he enlightens us in multilingual fashion, as usual.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Gabriel takes to the air, but he goes to the well once too often and lands in a gutbuster.  Cesaro targets the midsection to slow down his opponent and prevent a possible 450 Splash...PSYCHOLOGY~!  The fans chant "USA" to encourage the South African Gabriel...wait a minute...oh well.  Gabriel makes a brief comeback but a springboard moonsault hits the knees...more damage to the midsection!  Cesaro hits the deadlift gutwrench suplex and then uses the abdominal stretch...grabbing the ropes for extra (illegal) leverage.  Gabriel finally goes into a full-fledged rally, hitting a flying Kwang in the corner(!) and then a springboard cross-body...for two.  Gabriel goes to the third floor, but Cesaro gets back up and Gabriel leaps over him to the mat...only to walk into the pop-up European uppercut!  Neutralizer is set up and executed...that's the (rugby) ballgame.

Women's Champion Layla El vs. Natalya Neidhart, non-title:  Nattie wrestles her way into an early advantage but Layla shows a few good moves of her own.  Nattie powers out of a cross-bodyblock and attempts a running powerslam, but Layla counters out and they exchange pinning combinations for two-counts.  Natalya turns things around with a well-timed hairyank while Layla's on the apron, causing her to fall backwards on the solid ring frame.  Nattie wears her down with a Bodybreaker and then nails the discus lariat...but the one-foot cover only gets two.  Side backbreaker and snap suplex...for two.  Layla finally makes a comeback...Nattie ducks the Chick Kick but gets caught with a superkick out of nowhere for the three-count.

Alex Riley vs. Damien Sandow:  Sandow enlightens us, of course.  Fine back-and-forth matchup between these two, as you might expect.  Riley gets a close near-fall after a clothesline off the top rope, but Sandow escapes the TKO and rolls out of the ring.  Sandow lures Riley into a throat-snap off the top rope...that's enough of an opening for the Union Jack neckbreaker and the win.  Is that move called the Iron Lotus(per the Internet)?  The War & Peace(per Matt Striker)?  The Enlightener(per, um, elsewhere on the Internet)?  At any rate...CARTWHEEL~!

Raw is in Montreal and Bret Hart will be in the building...oh boy.

Tag Team Champions "R-Truth" Ron Killings & Kofi Kingston vs. Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes), non-title:  It's a golden episode of Superstars with the U.S., Women's, and Tag Champs on the show.  R-Truth and Kofi won the belts from Primo and Epico so there's some backstory here.  R-Truth shows off some dance moves, prompting Striker to sneak in a reference to Iceman Parsons...wow.  R-Truth doesn't take it well when Primo kicks in the direction of "Little Jimmy", as you might expect.  Kofi pulls out a unique rana variation on Primo out of absolutely nowhere, then counters an Epico monkeyflip by landing on his feet and then executing his own monkeyflip.  Epico sends Truth to the floor with a yank of the wardrobe, then Primo adds a cheapshot kick behind the referee's back...that'll alter the momentum a bit.  Truth takes out Primo with a jumping leg lariat out of nowhere, then Kofi gets the hot tag and literally flies into the fray.  Epico backs into the corner as Kofi sets up Trouble In Paradise, but falls prey to a double-jump half-turn cross-body off the top...Primo makes the save only to get thrown to the floor by R-Truth.  Truth kicks Epico away, sending him right into Kofi's Trouble In Paradise...that'll do it!
