TNA Special Comment

Waited until the last minute to think about buying a ticket for the TNA house show at Chaifetz Arena...but a friend offered to foot the bill in exchange for a ride to and from the show.  Well, that worked out well.

No matches were announced ahead of time, just a talent list...missing from that list were Austin Aries(not sure why he wasn't there) and Mickie James(injured, I think).  My friend was quite disappointed about Aries' absence...heh.  Would have liked to see a few other people from the TNA roster...no Samoa Joe or RVD either, among others.  Previous TNA house shows had 6-7 matches but this one only had five.

The lineup was the same as in Poplar Bluff the previous night except for some slight order shuffling and one result(Angle beat Bully Ray on Friday).  Angle-Ray seemed short for some reason...given how much finisher spam takes place in Angle matches lately, I think it caught people off guard when Angle stayed down after one Bully Cutter.  (Ray had kicked out of an Olympic Slam earlier in the match.)

Someone else pointed out that there seemed to be a LOT of time-killing on the show...practically everyone did mic work.

Yup, Earl Hebner's been around a LONG time.  I think the "Damn Right I Did" T-shirt and posing with the Bret Hart shades was a bit much, though.

My friend was pretty sure that the bigger of the two "wrestling" members of Aces & Eights was Luke Gallows.  Not sure who the big ringside guy was...we guessed either Mike Knox or Abyss.  The smaller guy PROBABLY wasn't Wes Brisco since he usually has the long hair out.  Don't remember the full list of people rumored to be under the masks...Garett Bischoff, maybe?  Storm and Anderson actually got the mask off one of the guys after the match...pretty sure that was Gallows.

Nothing local in my area next weekend as far as I know...

Ryback in a Hell In A Cell Match to retain the WWE Title.  Ryback had Punk set up for the Shellshock but referee Brad Maddox gave Ryback a low blow and fast-counted the pin as Punk rolled him up.  Ryback destroyed Maddox after the match, then chased Punk up the cage and gave him the Shellshock on the cage roof to close the show.

(NWA) Anarchy TV #352

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & John Johnson.

Kameron Kade vs. Bobby Moore:  Johnson notes that senior official Brent Wiley is YOUR referee for this matchup.  Kade rallies after a missed boot in the corner but Moore dons the controversial elbowpad...only for Seth Delay to run out and pull it away from him.  Moore abandons the match to chase Seth around the ring...oops, that's a ten-count and Kade gets the win.  Delay throws the elbowpad back in Moore's face and it's time for Seth and Kameron to do some celebratory hip-swiveling.

Steven Walters vs. John Skyler:  Haven't seen either of these guys in a little while.  Skyler somehow kicks out of a dragon suplex by Walters, then hits Sliced Bread #2 for his own near-fall.  Skyler goes for it again but Walters blocks and throws him through the ropes.  Skyler goes for his trademark slingshot spear, but Walters blocks THAT and goes straight into a piledriver!  Yup, that'll do it.

Tag Team Champion Slim J vs. Shadow Jackson:  Slim and Azrael will defend against the Urban Assault Squad(Shadow & Nemesis) at Fright Night...the winner of this match will earn the right to name the stipulation.  Shadow told Nemesis and Jerry Palmer to hang out at the strip club tonight on the promise that Dan Wilson would be barred from ringside.  Of course, Shadow says up front that the UAS would want a hangman's match.  There's plenty of bad blood between these two and they fight on the floor before the bout can officially start.  They finally get into the ring and the opening bell sounds...took long enough.  The ref has to back Slim off and Shadow mows him down with a massive clothesline.  Jackson slows the pace with a Stungun but J won't stay down.

Slim J comes up with a Whisper In The Wind variant out of the blue to make his comeback, but Shadow stops him right there with the 1031 Spinebuster.  However, he takes his time on the cover and J kicks out at 2 1/2.  He goes for the move again but Slim goes up and over into a sunset flip...for two.  Big roundhouse kick and Northern Lights suplex(!)...for two.  Slim J gets the Roach Clip(inverted STF) but Jackson gets to the ropes.  Third floor...but Shadow pushes the ref into the ropes to knock Slim off-balance.  Shadow hits a hanging Stunner(!)...but somehow only gets 2 1/2.  Shadow puts him right back on the turnbuckles but J fights out of the superplex attempt...flying inverted DDT hits and Slim J gets the surprise win!

WWE TV

WWE Superstars.com

Commentators:  Josh Mathews & Scott Stanford.

Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young):  SIVA TAU~!  Both of these teams REALLY need to get back on the winning track.  The Usos look strong early but Jey eventually gets isolated by the PTPs.  Jimmy gets a hot tag, grass hut afire, it's breaking down in Providence!  Young takes the Samoan Drop and Umaga Smash("shades of Rikishi") but Titus saves.  O'Neil eats a double superkick, then Jimmy lands a standard superkick on Young...tag to Jey, Headshrinker Splash hits, and the Usos get the win!

Tyson Kidd vs. Jinder Mahal(w/ Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre):  The 3-Man Band has their own team music now...good for them.  Triple air guitar~!  Brad Maddox is YOUR referee and I'll do my best to notice when that's the case.  Fast start for Tyson, but Heath distracts and Jinder slugs Kidd in mid-springboard move.  Mahal is definitely more...ANIMATED in the ring these days.  Kidd goes on the late-match rally, including the punt from the apron...but he gets caught with a Stungun and then the high knee.  The camel clutch and humbling, er, tapout is academic from there.

WWE Smackdown

-Commentators:  Josh Mathews & John Bradshaw Layfield.
-Tag Team Champions Kane d. Cody Rhodes after the chokeslam; Daniel Bryan and Damien Sandow did commentary for the match.
-Mike Mizanin d. Yoshi Tatsu with the Skull-Crushing Finale.
-Wade Barrett d. Randy Orton when a distraction by Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) gave Barrett the opening to hit the Souvenir for the win.
-Women's Champion Eve Torres & Aksana Raudoniene d. Layla El & Kaitlyn Bonin; Eve pinned Kaitlyn after Layla accidentally Chick-Kicked her partner.
-Damien Sandow d. Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan; Kane and Cody Rhodes did commentary for the match but were drawn into the action at the end.  Cody ran Bryan into the ringpost behind the referee's back, then threw him in the ring for Sandow to finish off with the Terminus.

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Tony Luftman(who?), S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the main event).

Earlier today:  General Manager Dusty Rhodes meets with Heath Slater and Vickie Guerrero, setting up tonight's main event.

Brodus Clay(w/ Funkadactyls) vs. Donny Camacho:  Regal tells us about Hunico's absence without actually telling us the reason for it.  This is slightly more competitive than I would have thought, but then Brodus' stock seems to have plummeted recently.  Camacho actually gets Clay up in the Samoan Drop, but Brodus kicks out of the pin attempt.  The kickout sends Camacho to the floor and gets distracted by the ladies...giving The Funkasaurus an opening for the comeback.  Brodus gets the win after an exploder suplex and the big splash.

Trent Barreta vs. Kassius Ohno:  Trent's been on a roll since returning to action, but he's got a tough fight ahead of him here.  Regal reports that Richie Steamboat is on the injured list thanks to Ohno...ak.  At any rate...YAY WRESTLING~!  Luftman has a good announcer voice, I'll say that.  Trent hits a huge somersault plancha, but Ohno runs him into the edge of the ring while they're on the floor.  Back into the ring...CRAVATE~!  Barreta fights back but the Dudebuster DDT is blocked and Kassius cuts him off with a basement dropkick.  Luftman drops Mitsuharu Misawa's name in reference to Ohno...*thumbs up*  Ohno goes for the kill, but Steamboat makes his entrance with a choice word or two for his rival...then throws his towel in Ohno's face.  The momentary distraction is enough of an opening for Trent to hit the Gobstopper knee and get the upset win!

Layla El & Alicia Fox vs. Paige Knight & Audrey Marie:  I guess Paige & Audrey are heels tonight.  Brad Maddox is your referee for this match, by the way.  Audrey takes some abuse for a little while, but Paige tags in only to run into a buzzsaw in the form of Layla.  Layla accidentally kicks Alicia off the apron and Paige sets up Layla for the Ram-Paige(cradle DDT), but Audrey tags herself in(to her partner's chagrin).  Paige slams Layla to the mat and Audrey goes for the pin, but Layla crucifixes her for the flash pin!  Paige isn't too happy with Audrey afterwards, as you might expect.

Lincoln Brodrick vs. (James) Bronson:  Bronson has appeared on FCW TV in the past but this is his first NXT appearance...this is my first look at Brodrick.  Bronson's style isn't pretty but it's very effective...he cuts off a brief offensive flurry with an STO and gets the tapout with a modified figure-four leglock.

Backstage, Ohno's throwing a tantrum...

U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro pays a visit...he wants the National Anthem to be played, but of course it's the Swiss anthem.  However, he gets Tyson Kidd instead...isn't he Canadian?  He wants a title shot and delivers his message in the universal language of a slap to the face...Cesaro swings back but Kidd ducks away and dropkicks him out of the ring.  Sounds like a main event for next week!

NXT Champion Seth Rollins vs. Heath Slater(w/ Vickie Guerrero)(non-title):  J.R. replaces Luftman for this contest...not sure why Vickie's aligned with Slater for the moment but maybe she's scouting new talent.  Heath did hold both the Heavyweight and Tag Titles in FCW, for the record.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Unfortunately a commercial break cuts out a large portion of the matchup, so we skip right to Seth's big comeback and suicide dive.  Springboard knee trembler...gets two.  Rollins looks to go topside again, but Vickie's yelling distracts him long enough for Slater to deliver the snapmare driver...for 2 1/2!  Slater goes for some sort of powerbomb but Seth flips up and over, then stuns him with an enzuigiri...Asai DDT hits and that's enough for the win!

-Ryback d. Dolph Ziggler after the Shellshock.
-Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) d. Sin Cara with the cross-armbreaker.  The post-match promo brought out the Prime Time Players...they triple-teamed Sin Cara but Randy Orton made the save, setting up a six-man tag for next week with Orton/Rey Misterio Jr./Sin Cara against Alberto and the PTPs.

WWE Raw

-Commentators:  Jim Ross & Michael Cole.
-Tag Team Title Contenders' Tournament:  The Rhodes Scholars(Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) d. Rey Misterio Jr. & Sin Cara when Cody pinned Rey after the Crossrhodes.  Tag Team Champions Hell No(Kane & Daniel Bryan) wished them "luck" in their title shot at Hell In A Cell...
-Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston d. Michael McGillicutty(non-title) after the Trouble In Paradise; Mike Mizanin did commentary for the match.
-Justin Gabriel d. U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro(non-title) after the Fall From Grace.
-A.J. Lee was forced to resign as General Manager...Vince McMahon announced that Vickie Guerrero would be "Managing Supervisor" of Raw in her place.  After some harsh words on Vickie's part(insinuating that A.J. had been pressured to resign due to having an "affair" with one of the wrestlers), a brief catfight was triggered between the two...
-Ryback d. Mike Mizanin after the Shellshock.
-Dolph Ziggler d. Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan(w/ Kane).  Bryan got upset when Kane tried to cheer for him with a "Yes" chant and Dolph took him down off the turnbuckles with a top-rope Zigzag for the win.
-The Big Show d. Tag Team Champion Kane(w/ Daniel Bryan) after a distraction by the Rhodes Scholars led to the PUNCH.  Cody and Sandow beat down Bryan after the match.
-Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) d. Zack Ryder with the cross-armbreaker takedown.
-WWE Champion C.M. Punk d. World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy in a non-title lumberjack match.  Sheamus set up for the Brogue Kick but Cesaro ran in and got hit with the move.  Jinder Mahal took a Brogue Kick as well...but as the referee was getting those two out of the ring, The Big Show chokeslammed Sheamus behind the official's back.  Punk got the pin after that...but then Ryback came out to obliterate the champ with power moves(thanks to the face lumberjacks throwing Punk back in the ring when he tried to run away).  Hey, he can't run in the Cell!

(NWA) Anarchy Wrestling TV #351

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & John Johnson.

Miss Rachel announces that Jerry Palmer and Jeff G. Bailey will not be in the building(drawing cheers)...Palmer is upset about being viciously attacked by a fan, ha ha.  She brings out Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers to enlighten us...Brodie Ray Chase only pinned him because he was double-teamed by Phil Gunner and Mikael Judas(WELL PAST the referee's five-count).  On top of that, senior official Brent Wiley was intimidated into making the three-count when he should have been escorting the illegal men out of the ring.

Next, Tempers brings out his "Bro-tege", T.V. Champion B(r)o Newsom.  Per General Manager Jerry Palmer's edict, T.V. Title matches will once again have a ten-minute time limit...not that Bo can't last longer than ten minutes, ha ha.

B(r)o Newsom vs. Joey Rhymer for the T.V. Title:  Senior official Brent Wiley is YOUR referee for this matchup.  Rhymer's picked up a few wins recently but this is a tall order for him.  I remember when BO was the upstart rookie underdog...how time flies.  Newsom targets the back of his challenger...someone's been watching his Roderick Strong tapes.  Billy Buck comes out to watch the match as Newsom cuts off a rally by Rhymer...and Joey rolls him up for 2.999!  Bo catches Rhymer with a huge spinebuster and that's enough for the three-count...Buck enters the ring but Bo was just leaving.  Oops, he forgot the belt...Buck poses with it for fun, then graciously returns it to its current holder.

Adrian Hawkins vs. Anthony Henry for the Young Lions' Title, submission match:  This is a rematch as Hawkins initially won the belt from Henry a few months ago.  Unfortunately, Jacob Ashworth attacks Henry during his entrance and throws him into the ring steps...oh yeah, forgot that Ashworth had recently joined Johnson's "family".  Johnson decides that there's no competition for Hawkins and he has the night off...but "The Reverend" Dan Wilson begs to differ.  The Rev has an opponent in mind for Hawkins...Stryknyn!

Adrian Hawkins vs. Stryknyn(w/ Dan Wilson) for the Young Lions' Title, submission match:  Hawkins goes on the attack but Stryknyn turns the tide in a hurry...meanwhile Johnson complains that Dee Byers is officiating the match instead of Brent Wiley.  Stryknyn misses a move in the corner and Hawkins goes after the leg to set up the Sharpshooter...Adrian slaps him around but that prompts Stryknyn to pop up and hit a uranagi out of nowhere.  Anaconda Vise is locked in but Tommy Penirelli & C.B. Suave run in with Ashworth for the DQ...bah.  The injured Henry re-enters along with The Vandal & Najasism for the save...and The Rev decides an impromptu eight-man tag is in order.

Anthony Henry, Stryknyn, Najasism, & Vandal vs. Young Lions' Champion Adrian Hawkins, Tommy Penirelli, C.B. Suave, & Jacob Ashworth:  Johnson's squad would appear to have an advantage with Henry's shoulder injury and Stryknyn's damaged knee, but the face team still takes control in the early going.  The heels finally isolate Vandal...Johnson's already counting his proverbial chickens, but Najasism gets a hot tag and cleans house!  Najasism tags in Henry who catches Hawkins in the Texas Cloverleaf, but Hawkins isn't legal and Henry gets hit from behind by Penirelli and Suave.  Now it's Henry on the receiving end of abuse...but he takes out Hawkins with a Death Valley Driver out of the blue.  Hot tag #2 to Stryknyn...and the house is on fire!  He goes for the Vise on Hawkins again but Adrian reaches the ropes.  DDT is countered as Hawkins double-legs him down and gets the Sharpshooter...but Henry breaks up the hold as Najasism dives off the top rope onto the other heels at ringside.  Henry joins the fun on the floor with a somersault plancha and Stryknyn sends himself and Hawkins out with a Cactus Clothesline!  Vandal Zigzags Penirelli, Suave roundhouse-kicks Vandal, Najasism takes out Suave with Eat-The-Feet, Ashworth short-arm clotheslines Najasism...then Henry goes toe-to-toe with Ashworth.  Henry springboards off the middle rope into a flying DDT on Ashworth but Hawkins nails him with a clothesline off the top rope.  Adrian double-legs Stryknyn into another Sharpshooter attempt but Stryknyn monkeyflips him away, then spears him for the three-count!  Stryknyn has beaten the Young Lions' Champion(though it wasn't by submission, as Johnson reminds us)...

SICW Special Comment

MMWA-SICW ran almost exclusively at the South Broadway Athletic Club for a long time, but started doing monthly shows in East Carondelet in April of 2007.  They were just two different venues for the same group, acknowledging the same set of belts(Heavyweight, Junior Heavyweight, Battle Royal, Tag Team, and the now-defunct Women's Title).

Somewhere along the line, SICW stopped acknowledging MMWA's titles and established their own championship(the Classic Title) in January of 2011.  Not long after that, the two sides started billing themselves as completely separate entities(MMWA and SICW) though many wrestlers worked for both groups.  I imagine Missouri licensing was a factor in a few cases, but some stories came out about wrestlers having issues with one side and only working for the other(Ron Powers is a prime example).  Right now, there are several wrestlers who work for both groups, including titleholders Gary Jackson, Ricky Cruz, Dave Vaughn, and Max Archer.

Reportedly this all came to a head in the past month or so, resulting in MMWA denying SICW the use of their ring for last night's show...Dynamo Pro Wrestling lent their ring to the event so it could proceed as planned.  Now it's coming out that things really blew up between the two sides last week...SICW had phased out a lot of MMWA's involvement but continued to use Tim Miller's ring until last night.

I don't know the whole story and I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle, as always...we shall see.  I wonder if wrestlers will be forced to "pick a side"...that would suck for people who are just looking for places to work.

Ben Simon(who did his first ring announcing with SICW a few years ago) made his return to the group...he does ring announcing for several of the promotions in the area.

Another oddity of the night was the absence of Matt Murphy...while several WLW workers were on the show(Jon Webb, Michael Magnuson), Murphy was not in the building for his scheduled match with Keith Smith.  All we were told by Larry Matysik was that Murphy had "cancelled" his appearance and Keith was declared the winner by forfeit/default.

Hey, Max Archer finally got a win in SICW after a fairly lengthy losing streak...good for him.

El Sanchez made his SICW debut(along with Magnuson and Brent Myers)...he seems to be trying more aerial moves in his recent outings.

While I know that Webb and Magnuson are from WLW, I don't know anything about Myers' background...he had a solid matchup with Gary last night.

Surprising to see Texan beat Chaz so decisively...but it was a good setup for Texan challenging for the title next week.

Travis Cook made his return to SICW with his attorney...but it sounds like he'll be absent in November and offered to let Ron Powers manage his charges at that show as a display of trust.  It developed into a conflict of interest in the main event as Powers was challenging for the title along with Cook's protege Dave Vaughn...wonder how that'll pan out.

Fine matchup between Hargas and Kasa and it got a decent amount of time...double countout = this feud MUST CONTINUE~!

Wasn't quite sure how the main event would end up...Vincent took a piledriver from Powers prior to Cruz getting the win with his own finisher.  They did a good job setting up Cruz-Texan for next month...there you have it.

I will need to check on ticket availability for the TNA house show at Chaifetz Arena...don't think a lineup has been announced, just a talent list:  Jeff Hardy, Bully Ray, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Mickie James, James Storm, A.J. Styles, and Tara Varon.

Right now, my November looks like MECW on the 10th and SICW on the 17th and 24th...the first weekend of November appears to be open for me at the moment.

SICW Wrestling Explosion

-Commentator:  Larry Matysik.
-Flashback to July 1980:  David Von Erich & Ted DiBiase fought Von Raschke & Dick Murdoch to a twenty-minute time-limit draw.  I was two years old when this match happened.  You just don't see standard-issue atomic drops any more.  Ah, the days when they actually DID have two refs for tag matches...and it's STILL not enough to control the action.  Main feud is the battle of the CLAWWWWWS~! between the Vons.  A lot of these flashbacks were before my time of watching on a regular basis so it's cool to see them.

-Gary Jackson d. Brent Myers with the Texas Cloverleaf.
-The Big Texan d. Chaz Wesson after raising his knees to block a splash off the top rope, then finishing with his own big splash off the ropes.  Texan chokeslammed Wesson after the match and said he wanted a shot at the Classic Title regardless of who won the main event...
-Travis Cook(w/ Attorney Alexis Vandenberg) made his return and threatened a police brutality lawsuit unless promoter Herb Simmons agreed to a "settlement" with him.

NXT + Impact

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Byron Saxton, S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the main event).  Ring announcer:  Summer Rae.

Alex Riley vs. Jinder Mahal:  Was wondering where Riley had disappeared to.  This is obviously pre-3MB for Jinder and his first NXT appearance since the title tournament finals against Seth Rollins.  Solid matchup ends with a rollup out of nowhere by Riley for the upset win...wow.  Mahal exacts some immediate vengeance with a high knee after the bell followed by the camel clutch...he's sending a message, or something.

Trent Barreta vs. Jake Carter:  No entrance for either man.  Regal jokes that Carter is lucky to have gotten his looks from his mother(since his father is Vader).  Carter has a good showing, but Trent fights out of a belly-to-back superplex attempt to hit the Whisper In The Wind for a near-fall.  Barreta misses a Gobstopper knee attempt and Carter hits an overhead suplex...for two.  Jake hits the ropes to finish, but Barreta is right behind him and nails the Gobstopper on the second try for the victory!

Brandon Traven vs. Damien Sandow:  Thank you for your irrelevant opinions!  You're welcome!  Traven is former WLW standout Brian Breaker and Regal acknowledges that he was trained by Harley Race.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Sandow dominates most of the contest, though Traven gets in a few flurries of offense.  A missed kneedrop by Traven gives Sandow the opening to finish things up...Russian legsweep, Elbow Of Disdain, and Terminus end it.  Sandow deems the audience unworthy of seeing the cartwheel.

Richie Steamboat & Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. Kassius Ohno & The Ascension(Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron):  It's two, two, two feuds in one!  SIVA TAU~!  Right out of that, Steamboat joins the duo and they rush the ring to clear out the heels.  We finally settle into standard tag rules with Cameron taking abuse from the face trio...Ohno tags in against Steamboat, but quickly tags out when Richie fires up.  O'Brian makes the mistake of trying to headbutt Jey...but Conor makes up for it with a modified Buh-Buh Bomb, then holds a bodyscissors to drag him to the heel corner.  Jey takes abuse from all three opponents but finally makes the hot tag to Steamboat...and Richie goes to town on Ohno!  Superkick hits but the Ascension members break up the pin attempt...that brings in the Usos to send their rivals to the floor with stereo clotheslines.  They follow them out with planchas and Steamboat gets ready for his own dive, but Ohno nails him from behind with a forearm smash from the apron!  Steamboat is knocked out and Ohno gets the three-count after that...

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay & Taz.
-Samoa Joe d. Robbie Eckos(w/ Robbie Terry) with the Kokita Clutch to retain the T.V. Title.  Robbie T got choked out after the match as well.
-Women's Tag Team Champion O.D.B. d. Women's Champion Tara Varon(w/ Jesse Godderz)(non-title) after the TKO.  Brooke Tessmacher applauded O.D.B.'s win...she has her title rematch next.
-Tag Team Champions Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Shawn Hernandez d. Kid Kash & Phil Gunner(non-title) when Chavo pinned Kash with a Steamboat Press.
-Kurt Angle won a triple threat match with A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels when he pinned Daniels after the Olympic Slam.
-Sting d. Brother Devon by DQ when the Aces & Eights broke up the Scorpion Deathlock; several other wrestlers made the save including a bat-wielding Bully Ray.

-Kofi Kingston d. Mike Mizanin after the Trouble In Paradise to become the NEWWWWW Intercontinental Champion!
-Dolph Ziggler(w/ Vickie Guerrero) d. Zack Ryder after the Zigzag.  Ziggler issued an open challenge for next week...enter Ryback.

TNA XPlosion

Commentators:  Jeremy Borash & Pat Kenney.

Shawn Hernandez vs. World Tag Team Champion Of The World Christopher Daniels:  Needless to say, this was taped prior to Bound For Glory.  Ring announcer SoCalVal is a few angles behind the times as she announces Hernandez as representing "Mexican America"...I miss Sarita and Rosita.  Good competitive matchup...Daniels escapes the Border Toss but gets run over with the POUNCE and that's the ballgame.

WWE Raw

-Commentators:  Jim Ross & Michael Cole.
-The Big Show d. Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan after the chokeslam; Show set up for the PUNCH but Kane stepped in to defend his partner.
-Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) d. Brodus Clay(w/ Funkadactyls) via cross-armbreaker.
-The Prime Time Players(Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) d. Zack Ryder & Santino Marella when Titus pinned Ryder after the Clash Of The Titus.  The Heath Slater/Drew McIntyre/Jinder Mahal trio(now dubbed "3MB" for 3-Man Band) attacked Ryder & Santino after the match.
-Ryback won a handicap match against Dolph Ziggler & David Otunga(w/ Vickie Guerrero); Dolph walked out on the match, leaving Otunga to get pinned after the Shellshock.
-U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro d. Justin Gabriel(non-title) with the Neutralizer.
-Tag Team Champion Kane d. Matt Striker via chokeslam.  Kane even handled the post-match interview with a decidedly non-responsive Striker...ha ha.
-World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy d. Wade Barrett(non-title) by DQ when The Big Show interfered by low-bridging Sheamus out of the ring.  Sheamus fought back and hit the Brogue Kick on Barrett before clotheslining Show over the top rope.
-Eve Torres d. Layla El to retain the Women's Title after kicking Layla off the second rope; the referee did not see Layla get her foot on the bottom rope during the pinfall.
-The Rhodes Scholars(Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) d. Primo & Epico Colon(w/ Rosa Mendes) when Sandow pinned Epico after the Terminus.
-Kofi Kingston d. Intercontinental Champion Mike Mizanin(non-title) after the Trouble In Paradise.
-In a surprise, John Cena gave his endorsement to Ryback and Vince McMahon made it official:  C.M. Punk will defend the WWE Title against Ryback in Hell In A Cell.

SLA Special Comment

I figured on the SLA matinee show being a smaller event, especially when they only announced three matches ahead of time without any "outside talent". That card was shuffled a bit as the original lineup had Jordan Lacey vs. Pierre Abernathy and The Hooligans against Darren Dean & Aaron Solo(Davey Richards trainees).

Nice surprise to see Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins on the show as Espinosa hadn't worked a show for LWA/SLA in a while and I don't think Ace had ever done one of their shows. I think the original lineup also had Davey Vega vs. Billy McNeil and Dash Rando vs. Super Electro(making a five-match card that was shortened to four). Vega-McNeil could have been pretty good, hope we get that at some point...

The ring was set up just outside of a bar...outdoor shows are done at the mercy of Mother Nature but thankfully the weather cooperated. Quite a few people watched from a distance instead of paying at the door.

The first two matches had a lot of comedy spots...Pierre doesn't wrestle as regularly as he once did and Rando is a comedy character anyway, I suppose.

They did a good job of pushing the Yuletide Terror show which takes place in early December(also in Alton, IL)...it's a loaded card to say the least.

Didn't make it to MMWA...looked decent enough, but the lack of full-fledged storylines and feuds(particularly when it comes to the championships) is a bit frustrating.

Anywho, not a whole lot to say...SICW on the 20th, TNA on the 27th...

TNA Bound For Glory

-Rob Van Dam d. Shiima Xion with the five-star frog splash to win the X-Division Title.
-Samoa Joe d. Brutus Magnus with the Kokita Clutch to retain the T.V. Title.
-James Storm d. Bobby Roode after hitting him with a beer bottle and then hitting him with the Last Call superkick(causing him to fall onto thumbtacks); King Mo was the special guest referee.
-Joey Ryan d. Al Snow after Matt Morgan returned to lay out Snow with the Carbon Footprint while the referee was down.
-Chavo Guerrero Jr. & Shawn Hernandez won a triple threat match with Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian(C) and Kurt Angle & A.J. Styles to win the Tag Team Titles; Hernandez pinned Daniels after a Border Toss and Chavo's frog splash.
-Tara Varon d. Brooke Tessmacher with the Widow's Peak to win the Women's Title.
-The Aces & Eights d. Sting & Bully Ray after other members of the gang interfered, allowing one of the masked men to give Ray a spinebuster through a table for the win.  Hulk Hogan made the save and unmasked one of the gang members...as Brother Devon.
-Jeff Hardy d. Austin Aries with the swanton bomb to win the Heavyweight Title.

(NWA) Anarchy Wrestling TV #350

Commentators:  Tim E.D. & John Johnson.

Anthony Henry vs. Jacob Ashworth:  Ashworth finally gets his shot at Henry...too bad Henry no longer has the Young Lions' Title.  Ashworth has a size advantage but Henry's a bit faster...Henry counters the Ashes-To-Ashes(full nelson into a wheelbarrow faceplant) with a victory roll and transitions into a Texas Cloverleaf attempt.  However, Ashworth kicks him away and hits his move on the second try...for two.  Henry fires back with a series of kicks, then goes for the Cloverleaf again but Ashworth hangs onto the ropes.  Ashworth goes for short-arm clothesline but Henry ducks it and rolls him up for the pin just like that.

Johnson calls Ashworth back into the ring, claiming he saw a handful of tights in that pin attempt(not true).  He makes Jacob an offer and he shakes his hand...then Johnson brings out Tommy Penirelli & C.B. Suave to join them in the ring.  Topping things off is the Young Lions' Champion Adrian Hawkins.  Interestingly enough, Penirelli and Suave turned on Ashworth not too long ago but now they're on the same side again.

Adrian Hawkins(w/ John Johnson, Jacob Ashworth, Tommy Penirelli, & C.B. Suave) vs. Sgt. Carlos Socorro for the Young Lions' Title, submission match:  Per Johnson's authority as Director Of Talent Relations, all of Hawkins' title defenses are submission matches.  Luke Hawx joins Tim E.D. at the broadcast booth for this match as Socorro is one of his trainees.  Socorro nearly gets a CROSS-FACE CHICKEN WING~! but Hawkins goes for the ropes in short order.  Adrian dropkicks the knee and goes after the leg, then throws Socorro to the floor where the outside parties dish out some damage.  Back in the ring, Hawkins stays on the leg...Socorro catches him in a unique armbar out of nowhere but Adrian fights out of that and takes out the leg once again.  Socorro has a last-ditch surge of offense and gets the chicken wing again, but Hawkins' stablemates put his foot on the bottom rope to force a break.  Adrian single-legs him down into the Sharpshooter setup in the middle of the ring...Socorro has nowhere left to go and taps out.

Seth Delay vs. Bobby Moore:  Plenty of history here between the "Hands Of Steel" and the elbowpad of death.  Delay controls early, but Moore escapes a headlock with a back suplex to finally take over.  Seth finally makes the comeback but misses the Macho Elbow...and Moore pulls out the questionable elbowpad.  Delay duck the incoming forearm smash and rolls him up...for two.  Seth keeps up the pressure, but the ref backs him off and Moore uses the opening to nail Seth with the loaded(?) forearm!  Cover, three, and that's the ballgame.  Moore has a message for Seth...and he sings his own twist on the Barney song as he stomps on him.  He adds a hip swivel for good measure...err.

Mikael Judas, Brodie Ray Chase, & Billy Buck vs. Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers, T.V. Champion Bo Newsom, & Jagged Edge(w/ Jeff G. Bailey & Jacoby Boykins):  Judas figures we might as well make this an eight-man tag with Boykins around, so he brings out an old friend(and someone Jeff G. knows very well)...Phil Gunner!

Phil Gunner, Mikael Judas, Brodie Ray Chase, & Billy Buck vs. Heavyweight Champion Shaun Tempers, T.V. Champion Bo Newsom, Jagged Edge, & Jacoby Boykins(w/ Jeff G. Bailey):  Gunner got his start in this promotion as Phil Shatter and had his greatest success under Bailey's management.  Johnson dismisses the importance of non-title situations by saying that champions often wrestle a different style of match depending on whether or not the belt is at stake.  Tim E.D. counters that it could be a psychological advantage for a potential challenger to beat a champion under any circumstances.  We get tastes of the main rivalries at different points:  Tempers/Chase, Newsom/Buck, and Judas/Edge.  The NWA Elite team finally gets Buck in their corner...bad place to be.

Tempers and Buck revisit their old rivalry for a brief exchange...but Bo tags in and runs into a Samoan Drop out of nowhere.  Race to tag...tag Tempers, tag Gunner!  Gunner cleans house and has a big showdown with Jagged Edge, but Judas BOOTs Edge out of a chokeslam attempt on Gunner.  Gunner and Judas double-clothesline Jagged Edge to the floor, then Brodie throws Tempers back in the ring to take some abuse from the big men.  Gunner spears Tempers into next week, then tags in Chase to finish things up...KICK WHAM DOUBLE-UNDERHOOK DDT and Judas makes sure senior official Brent Wiley counts three!  Brodie Ray Chase has pinned the champ!

AAPW Content

Online Exclusive

Commentators:  Kevin Hunsperger & Chris Hagstrom(this was taped before Collision #24).

Justice vs. Ax Allwardt(w/ Gaylord Stevens & Jay Wellington Beauregard):  Allwardt doesn't often face larger opponents, let's see how he fares.  Ax comes up short in trying to match power with Justice...brawling tactics work a bit better.  He sets up the piledriver...um, no.  Justice backdrops his way out of that and goes on offense, but misses a legdrop and Ax regains control.  Slam attempt fails for Ax, but not for Justice.  Allwardt comes back only to get slammed off the top rope, but Beauregard distracts the ref and Gaylord distracts Justice so Allwardt can deliver an undetected low blow.  This time the piledriver hits and Allwardt wins.

Collision #25

Commentators:  Kevin Hunsperger & Adam Testa(Chris Hagstrom is still recovering from Edmund "Livewire" McGuire's superkick).

Ace Hawkins calls out Matt Cage, but Zakk Sawyer wants to take the match instead...okay.

Ace Hawkins(w/ Brandon Espinosa) vs. Zakk Sawyer(w/ Tag Team Champion Matt Cage):  Sawyer assures Cage that he'll do fine, only for Hawkins to run at him from behind to hit the flippy Ace Crusher and win just like that.  Ha ha.

Ace Hawkins(w/ Brandon Espinosa) vs. Tag Team Champion Matt Cage(w/ Zakk Sawyer):  Looks like this is happening after all as Cage rushes the ring to attack Ace.  Espinosa runs off Sawyer, but Cage busts up an aerial move on the floor by shoving Hawkins off the ring steps into the post.  Espinosa and Sawyer are now gone from ringside so this is one-on-one, but the commentators wonder where Christian Rose is at...hmm.  Good even matchup here...Hawkins hits his flippy Ace Crusher off the middle rope but Cage gets a foot on the bottom rope.  He goes for the ground-level version of the move but Cage blocks it and gets a modified sleeper until Hawkins backs him into a corner.  It breaks down into a brawl and the ref gets shoved around by both guys, leading to a double DQ finish.  Sawyer comes in to help but Espinosa's back out for the save...only for Rose to finally appear and BELT Espy in the face.  They duct-tape Espinosa to the ropes, leaving Hawkins in a three-on-one situation...Rose brings in a ladder and bashes Espy with it, then they set up the ladder over Ace and pose with the belts.

Backstage, Ax Allwardt confers with Gaylord Stevens and Jay Wellington Beauregard...Ax got Gaylord a "warmup match" tonight.

More from Shane Rich...what's next for him?  You know, this would have been a waste of TV time if he's just retiring due to his injuries...he says he'll make an announcement at Zero Hour.

The Mississippi Madman vs. Dalton Diamond:  I don't see this being very competitive...but before the match can even start, Bull Bronson makes his way to ringside.  The two big men go nose-to-nose and Diamond gets swatted away as he tries to interject himself into things.  They decide to one-up each other with their abuse of Diamond...why not?  Call it a no-contest...heh.  Diamond gets slammed by both, then Bronson powerbombs him and Madman gives him the Fifth Floor chokeslam and tosses him out of the ring.  Security tries to restore order but those guys get tossed aside as well...Bull finally backs off on his own.  Bronson wants to face Madman at Zero Hour...sounds like a plan.

Sean Vincent & Blake Steel speak on their tag match tonight...Vincent complains about being injured by K.C. Jackson's heel hook in a previous outing.  He found one American he can trust in Blake Steel...they plan on spoiling things for K.C. and Joey O'Riley tonight.

Gaylord Stevens(w/ Ax Allwardt & Jay Wellington Beauregard) vs. Super Castaldi:  Gaylord has full ring attire...err.  Wow, Castaldi gets around.  Allwardt pulls Castaldi out of the ring and runs him into the ringpost and guardrail while the referee is giving Gaylord his instructions.  NOW the match actually starts...those chops are decidedly unimpressive.  Stevens knows how to do an eyepoke, anyway...then he gets the win after a simple shoulderblock.  Okay.  Gaylord follows that up with a piledriver onto a set-up chair...ow.

K.C. Jackson & Joey O'Riley enlighten us on their matchup as well as the No Limits Title tournament finals.  Looks like they're on the same page for tonight...

K.C. Jackson & Joey O'Riley vs. Sean Vincent & Blake Steel:  Haven't seen Steel in quite a while.  The heels attack before the bell, leading to a chaotic start to the match before things settle down with the heel duo isolating O'Riley.  The commentators wonder if K.C. is fine with letting Joey do the lion's share of the work here...but Joey takes out Vincent with a slingshot DDT and finally makes the tag!  Steel tags in as well but runs into a buzzsaw...K.C. Stinger-Splashes Steel in his corner and Joey tags himself back into the match.  Jackson grabs Vincent in the heel hook(seemingly unaware of the tag) as Joey finishes off Steel with a 450 Splash for the win!  K.C. and Joey have a few tense words as we close the show...

Weekend wrestling

WWE Saturday Morning Slam

-Commentators:  Josh Mathews & Santino Marella.
-Intercontinental Champion Mike Mizanin d. Justin Gabriel(non-title) with the Skull-Crushing Finale.
-Sin Cara d. Jinder Mahal after a swanton bomb.

ROH TV

-Commentators:  Kevin Kelly & Nigel McGuinness.
-Survival Of The Fittest:  Davey Richards d. Mike Bennett(w/ Maria Kanellis & Brutal Bob Evans); Bennett was distracted by Mike Mondo coming out to kiss Maria again, so Davey turned things around and won with a sliding buzzsaw kick.
-Tommaso Ciampa(w/ Robert D. Evans) was scheduled to face Jay Lethal but he suffered a knee injury in a previous match with Lethal.  Evans referred to Ciampa as a "thoroughbred", but said that when a thoroughbred gets hurt...you shoot him.  Evans brought out Q.T. Marshall as his newest client, then took out Ciampa's knee with his own crutch.
-Survival Of The Fittest:  Jay Lethal d. Q.T. Marshall(w/ Robert D. Evans) after a modified version of the Lethal Injection; Prince Nana attacked Evans near the end of the matchup.
-Kevin Steen(w/ Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino) d. Rhett Titus(w/ B.J. Whitmer) to retain the Heavyweight Title; Corino did commentary for the match.  Whitmer stopped Jacobs from interfering but the referee prevented Titus from using Jacobs' spike in the matchup.  Steen stunned Titus with a superkick and finished him with the F-Cinq.
-Next week:  Rhino vs. Michael Elgin, Homicide vs. Roderick Strong, and Mike Mondo vs. Kyle O'Reilly.

SICW Wrestling Explosion

-Commentator:  Larry Matysik.
-Joined in progress:  Brian James d. Max Archer with a small package.
-Chaz Wesson & Sean Vincent d. Ron Powers & The Big Texan; Powers destroyed Vincent on the floor with a pair of tables, but Dave Vaughn's interference backfired as he speared Texan by mistake.  That allowed Wesson to pick up the win over Texan with a splash off the top rope.

AAPW Collision #24

Commentators:  Kevin Hunsperger & Chris Hagstrom.

Edmund "Livewire" McGuire vs. Alex Castle:  Angelus Layne has been accompanying Castle to the ring in AAPW lately, but she is conspicuous by her absence tonight.  Livewire's upcoming Heavyweight Title shot at Mike Masters has now been confirmed to be a cage match...a first in AAPW.  Castle teams with Matt Cage in other promotions as The Kentucky Buffet but he's flying solo in AAPW.  McGuire avoids Castle's opening charge and goes right on offense...the fight spills out of the ring and Castle yanks him into the entranceway, then smashes his arm into the guardrail and ringpost.  Livewire tries to fight back but Castle keeps going after the arm to stop him.  The commentators wonder if it was wise for McGuire to take this match so close to his title shot...he gets a sunset flip for two, crucifix for two, and small package for two before IT'S THE BIG FOOT stops him in his tracks.  Castle makes the mistake of going to the top rope and McGuire hits the ropes to trip him up...top-rope Frankensteiner!  He follows that up with the superkick...that'll do it!

Heath Hatton has a big match tonight...he just says "It's time".

More from Shane Rich...he was teaming with Greg Anthony but things went sour.

Brandon Espinosa(w/ Ace Hawkins) vs. Tag Team Champion Christian Rose(w/ Matt Cage & Zakk Sawyer):  Cage joins the broadcast team for this one...and Espy rushes the ring to attack Rose!  Sawyer grabs Espy's foot, but Hawkins jumps on Sawyer and Cage storms away from the headset in disgust.  Rose ties up the ref long enough for Cage to jump into the ring with his ring-entry Stunner on Espinosa...that'll turn the tide.  We're told that the winner will choose the Tag Title match stipulation for Zero Hour...Cage(returning to commmentary) assumes it'll be some sort of "Mexican jumping bean" match, har har.  Good back-and-forth match from there...skip to the endgame as Espinosa rallies and gets a near-fall after a uranagi backbreaker, then another after a Steamboat Press.  Rose stops him with a forearm shot to the back of the head...for two.  Rose rams him into the turnbuckles and sets up a superplex...nails it!  Rose tries to float over for the pin, but Espinosa small-packages him for the quick win!  Ace joins his partner in the ring, but Sawyer runs into the ring too and immediately gets planted with the Combover(cobra clutch Stroke).  Should it be no-DQ?  Espinosa doesn't want the belts to come into play...so let's hang them above the ring and do a ladder match!

The Great Cheyenne gets jumped during her promo by Angelus Layne(w/ Alex Castle)...sounds like another match for Zero Hour.

NWA World Champion Adam Pearce enlightens us.

Contract signing time...Hagstrom mediates for Heavyweight Champion Mike Masters and McGuire.  Masters brings out a steel chair so Livewire folds up his own chair to defend himself...but things settle down for the actual signing.  McGuire suspects red tape and Masters takes exception to the insinuation that he might try to weasel his way out of this situation.  Livewire makes sure to read through the whole thing(though Hagstrom says they both had a chance to read it beforehand) before signing.  Masters threatens McGuire's young son and tempers flare...the two start brawling!  Hagstrom tries to settle things down and security separates them...then Livewire tries to superkick Masters only to hit Hagstrom by mistake!  Wrestlers come out to settle things down and check on the fallen announcer...as Livewire leaves the ringside area, promoter Sean Chambers comes out and gives him an odd look before turning around and returning to the backstage area...

Adam Pearce vs. Heath Hatton for the NWA World Title:  Manager Gaylord Stevens(w/ Jay Wellington Beauregard) joins Hunsperger at the broadcast table...Ax Allwardt has been banned from ringside.  Pose-off to start and even the ref gets more approval than Pearce.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Heath gets the better of the first exchange so Pearce claims a hair pull...don't think so.  Hatton keeps one-upping the champ so "Scrap Iron" stalls outside the ring a few times...then teases a walk-off but Heath pulls him back by the ear.  Pearce finally stops Heath's momentum with a spinebuster and slows the pace, but he can't keep Hatton down for long.  Pearce throws Heath out of the ring but gets a whip reversed into the guardrail...however, he introduces Hatton to the railing as well.  Meanwhile, Stevens has been claiming everything from biased officiating to a conspiracy against Allwardt...oh well.  Heath escapes the piledriver setup and hits a swinging neckbreaker...looks like a comeback to me!  Hatton nails the missile dropkick for a near-fall as Beauregard leaves his seat for a closer look at the action...then argues with the official JUST as Hatton hits his falling DDT finisher and has the pin.  Gaylord enters the ring with his umbrella but Heath turns it on him...and Pearce gets the cheap rollup with a handful of tights for the win.

Allwardt comes out to raise Pearce's hand, then Stevens and Beauregard join the celebration...Heath is upset and challenges Ax AND Gaylord to a tag match at Zero Hour.  Beauregard accepts the challenge...and Hatton reveals that his partner will be Colt Cabana!

Commentators:  Scott Stanford & Matt Striker.

Tyson Kidd vs. Wade Barrett:  This is a rematch from last week; should be a good one.  Barrett is coming off a strong outing against World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy on Raw.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Kidd's kick from the apron backfires as Wade SWEEPS THE LEG~!, sending him face-first down onto the edge of the ring.  Tyson catches him with a dragonscrew legwhip through the ropes...OW.  Kidd makes the comeback after that, nailing the missile dropkick...for two.  Barrett cuts him off by clotheslining him out of the ring, but misses a boot on the floor and hangs himself up on the barricade.  This time Kidd delivers the kick from the apron...back in the ring, Wade raises a boot to stop the incoming springboard elbowdrop but Kidd sees it coming.  He grabs the foot and gets him into the Sharpshooter!  Barrett barely reaches to ropes to force a break, then catches Kidd off the ropes with the Bossman Slam!  That's enough of an opening for Wade to hit the Souvenir...one-two-three.

U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro vs. Justin Gabriel, non-title:  Hey, more good wrestling, I like this trend.  Gabriel gets an early advantage, but Cesaro catches a plancha attempt to slam him on the floor!  Needless to say, the U.S. Champ has the edge after that...Gabriel fights back but Cesaro wipes him out with a huge clothesline(flip sell!).  Gabriel crucifixes into a sunset flip for two but Cesaro stops him with a European uppercut.  Deadlift gutwrench suplex gets a two-count and Antonio keeps him grounded for a while...he blocks one spinning kick, but not two.  Gabriel nails the springboard moonsault...for two.  Gabriel slips a bit on the ropes but still maneuvers into position to hit the Asai moonsault/inverted DDT...and Cesaro gets a foot on the rope to escape defeat.  450 Splash?  No, Antonio hits the ropes to trip him up...then picks him up from that position for the Neutralizer!  That'll do it.

WWE Smackdown

-Commentators:  Josh Mathews & John Bradshaw Layfield.
-World Champion Sheamus O'Shaunessy d. Lord Tensai(non-title) after the Brogue Kick.
-Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal(w/ Drew McIntyre) d. Zack Ryder & Santino Marella when Heath pinned Ryder after a snapmare driver.
-Tag Team Champion Kane d. Dolph Ziggler(w/ Vickie Guerrero) by DQ when Ziggler hit Kane with the Money-In-The-Bank briefcase.  Kane fought off Ziggler but Daniel Bryan arrived just in time to claim credit for "running off" Dolph.  Matt Striker tried to do a post-match interview only to get No-Locked and then chokeslammed.
-The Big Show d. Kofi Kingston with the PUNCH; Intercontinental Champion Mike Mizanin did commentary for the match.
-Sin Cara d. Damien Sandow(w/ Cody Rhodes).  Referee Brad Maddox ejected Cody for interfering at one point.  As Sandow argued with the official, Cara springboarded over the ref's head for a flying rana into a pin.
-Alberto Del Rio(w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) d. Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan with the cross-armbreaker takedown.  Alberto mocked Randy Orton after the match only to come face-to-face with his rival...the payback beatdown ensued.  Ricardo saved his boss but took an RKO on the broadcast table for his efforts.

Dynamo Special Comment

Yeahhhhh, I'm lazy.

Much ado has been made about the current state of the NWA as several promotions have dropped their affiliation with the organization. Even NWA Anarchy in Georgia recently dropped the "NWA" part of the name, just going by "Anarchy Wrestling" nowadays. At the Dynamo show, they quietly switched out the NWA Missouri Title in favor of their own DPW Heavyweight Title belt. Why yes, the new belt DOES bear a striking resemblance to the old GCW Heavyweight Title(pretty sure the tag titles are also redone versions of the GCW belts).

The McNeil-Sanchez opener was a bit rough as it seemed like they were trying moves that one or the other wasn't comfortable doing. Nice nod to the upcoming GCW reunion show as Billy finished with Shadows Over Hell. With a Delirious seminar confirmed for the weekend of the 12/1 show, perhaps we'll get McNeil vs. Delirious.

Tiffany LaFane has begun her recruiting with El Sanchez...I could think of a few other people on the roster who would do well with a manager on their side.

Wasn't sure about the face/heel statuses of the participants in Dirden vs. Vincent. It seemed like both were faces but Dirden's still finding his niche in that regard(at least as far as Dynamo is concerned). Good match, at any rate.

Hadn't seen Jason Axe before and don't know much about his background, but I thought he had a solid outing against Mike Sydal. Mike has been diversifying his moveset a bit...good to establish your own identity separate from your brother(Evan Bourne, if he hadn't mentioned it recently :)).

Cruz-Wyatt...FIRE THE OVERBOOKING TORPEDOES~! Hey, they've had good matches so I have no problem with the feud continuing. The wrestlers who broke up the brawl randomly included Dash Rando(who wasn't on the card).

Pretty sure the tables in the Tag Title match have been future-endeavored...but they made sure those tables DID eventually break so it all worked out. Yay for faces winning blowoff matches! Tremendous. Whatever you feel about the wrestlers involved, I think fans want to see the good guy win at the end of the day...and yes, that includes myself.

ONCE AGAIN number-one contender, Dan Walsh...but the feud with Trent Stone doesn't appear to be over yet.

Fine main event...rough night for the referees as they got knocked around in two matches(Cruz-Walsh and this one). It was a bit disappointing to see Karrington regain the belt so quickly, but the feud with Walsh had been pushed more than the Makaze issue. It looks like that will finally be blown off with the street fight in December...woo.

So what's on tap for the rest of October? St. Louis Anarchy has a matinee show on Saturday as part of a fundraiser. MMWA has their monthly show that night at South Broadway. SICW is back in East Carondelet on the 20th and TNA has a house show at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis on the 27th(no card announced yet). Not much has been made official for the Dynamo show on 12/1 other than the Karrington-Walsh street fight, but Delirious will be doing a seminar that weekend so it's a good possibility that he'll be part of the event.
