Young Lions' Mega Rumble: We start with newcomers Blake Wilder(#1) and Bu Ku Dao(#2)...Dao has a few close calls before the entrance of Tommy Penirelli(#3). This match is for a shot at champion Adrian Hawkins, by the way. Penirelli gets double-teamed for a bit, but help arrives in the form of Penirelli's partner C.B. Suave(#4). Wilder and Dao still do well for themselves, then Brandon Parker enters the fray at #5.
Parker quickly dumps Dao over the ropes and now it's three-on-one against Wilder...all three heels send Wilder to the floor and Joey Rhymer is #6. Rhymer gets a flurry of offense until the numbers catch up to him...will #7 be any help? It's The Vandal and he cleans house until Parker mows him down with a clothesline.
The heels still have the odds in their favor, but Najasism is #8 and he makes an immediate impact...until Parker levels him with a boot to the face. At least the face/heel numbers are even...but Rhymer throws Penirelli over the ropes and he and Najasism double-dropkick him for the floor! Andrew Pendleton III is the final entry at #9 and he takes his time getting in the ring...meanwhile, a Cactus Clothesline by Vandal sends Suave and himself floorward. We're down to four but Parker easily disposes of Najasism. Rhymer takes a major beating as Pendleton and Parker join forces. Parker looks to throw out Rhymer...but AP3 tosses Parker from behind instead! Now Pendleton charges at Rhymer...but Rhymer low-bridges him out and gets the surprise win!
Rhymer doesn't get to celebrate his win because Miss Rachel comes out to introduce General Manager Jerry Palmer. Palmer decides to give Rhymer the opportunity to face a "top-tier opponent"...right now.
Joey Rhymer vs. Se7en(w/ Jeff G. Bailey, Jerry Palmer & Miss Rachel): Well, THIS doesn't seem fair. Joey is understandably scared...looks like squash is in season. Se7en pulls him up after a military-press powerslam...powerbomb, chokeslam, then another military-press powerslam ends it. Why not, another powerbomb after the match...security guards check on Rhymer after that, but Andrew Pendleton III comes back out to drop him with an STO.
Bu Ku Dao vs. Jacoby Boykins: Bad night to be in the Young Lions' division. SPLAT, powerslam finishes it in short order. The new ring announcer messes up Boykins' first name...twice.
Azrael doesn't appear to be in the house for the non-title tag team main event but we appear to have a substitute...
Tag Team Champion Slim J & Stryknyn vs. The Urban Assault Squad(w/ Jerry Palmer): Slim and Stryknyn quickly clean house and order has to be restored before we officially start the match. The Hate Junkies had been injured by the UAS in a hangman's match...who knows if Azrael was injured after the actions of Shadow Jackson and Nemesis on last week's episode. Johnson loudly gripes about how the UAS should have gotten a title shot since they did beat the champs(by DQ) last week. The Urban Assault Squad members get the edge and work on Slim...but J finally fires up, kicking away Shadow and hitting the Screwdriver On The Rocks on Nemesis in one motion. Tag to Stryknyn and he spears Nemesis...but Shadow had senior official Brent Wiley distracted so he didn't see the tag! Shadow grabs Slim and drops him with the 1031 Spinebuster...allowing Nemesis to drape an arm over J for the pin. Afterwards, Jerry Palmer jaws with an old lady at ringside and she slaps the taste out of his mouth...ha ha.
