NXT + Impact

WWE NXT6

Commentators:  Byron Saxton, S. William Regal, & Jim Ross(for the main event).  Ring announcer:  Chris Russo.

WWE Champion C.M. Punk welcomes us to the show in his now-traditional self-serving fashion...

Bo Dallas vs. Johnny Curtis:  Solid opening matchup...this could realistically go either way.  Bo rallies after Curtis misses a kneedrop off the middle rope, capping it off with a belly-to-belly suplex and the spear for the win.

Paige Knight & Audrey Marie vs. Kaitlyn Bonin & Alicia Fox(no entrances):  So who are the faces in THIS matchup?  We have two WWE-roster competitors against two NXT-roster divas...it's odd to hear Kaitlyn referred to as "experienced".  Audrey pulls off a unique throw on Alicia that Regal recognizes as a European-style move...okay then.  The WWE gals isolate Audrey for a little while as Regal jokes about not having a chance with any of the four women in the ring...heh.  Audrey hits a jawbreaker on Kaitlyn and finally makes the tag...Paige is OVAH.  Fox knees out of a Ram-Paige(cradle DDT) attempt and gets a small package for two, but Paige comes back with a dropkick and it's breaking down in Orlando!  Paige runs Alicia into Kaitlyn and gets the flash pin with an O'Connor Roll...tremendous.

Jake Carter blows off a random girl backstage...Trent Baretta figures he just struck out.  As it turns out, that's a match for next week.

Briley Pierce(who still works here) interviews NXT Champion Seth Rollins...he has his first title defense against Michael McGillicutty tonight.  Seth feels MM disrespected him last week...did someone say "disrespect"?  Enter Punk with a few words of warning...just holding a belt doesn't get you respect.  You have to beat the respect out of people, in his words...

Dante Dash vs. Leo Kruger(no entrances):  Kruger goes right into attack mode and maintains that deranged grin the whole time.  Dante gets zero offense; Leo wins with Kruger's End(Shortcut/corkscrew snapmare driver).  Post-match promo is...um...something.

Briley Pierce still works here and he interviews McGillicutty...once he beats Rollins, he may just go after Punk's belt.  Suuuuure.

Seth Rollins vs. Michael McGillicutty for the NXT Title:  J.R. joins the broadcast team...and so does Punk, but not before briefly addressing the unwashed masses.  Sounds like Byron gets to sit this one out.  YAY WRESTLING~!  Seth hits a quick spinkick to the gut but MM rolls out of the ring to avoid an early Blackout.  Punk notes the comparisons between himself and Rollins, saying Seth needs to be the first Seth Rollins and not the next C.M. Punk.  Rollins teases the Blackout again but McGillicutty throws him out of the ring and drops him face-first on the edge of the ring.

It takes a few tries but Seth finally gets a full-fledged run of offense going...a clothesline sends MM to the floor and Rollins follows him out with a suicide dive!  Back in the ring, Seth springboards in but gets dropkicked in mid-air...MM covers for two.  MM yanks him away from the ropes but Rollins lands on his feet and hits an enzuigiri.  Blackout whiffs AGAIN and McGillicutty drops him with a Saito Suplex...for two.  Perfectplex is countered with a small package...for two, but MM fires back with a huge clothesline for his own near-fall.  MM sizes him up for the Headturner neckbreaker but Rollins blocks it, then hits Sliced Bread #2(!) and gets the win to retain his title!  McGillicutty had the Blackout scouted so Seth found another way to win...PSYCHOLOGY~!  Punk stands and applauds as Seth stares him down from the ring with his belt...

TNA Impact

-Commentators:  Mike Tenay & Taz.
-Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries d. James Storm(non-title).  Bobby Roode ran out to run Storm into the ringpost behind the referee's back; Aries may or may not have seen the interference but took what was offered and got the win with the brainbuster.
-Shawn Hernandez(w/ Chavo Guerrero Jr.) d. A.J. Styles; Styles kept getting distracted by Chavo and Hernandez took advantage to win with his version of the Pounce.
-World Tag Team Champions Of The World Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian d. Sting & Bully Ray(non-title) by DQ; Sting told Ray to GET THE TABLE and Ray superbombed Daniels through it(getting disqualified but such is life).
-Women's Champion Brooke Tessmacher d. Gail Kim(non-title) with the atomic facebuster; Tara Varon attacked Tessmacher after the match but Tessmacher escaped the Widow's Peak setup and hit the atomic facebuster on Tara.
-Jeff Hardy d. Bobby Roode by DQ when Roode stopped a Twist Of Fate attempt with a blatant low blow.  The referee stopped Roode from using a chair after the match, allowing Hardy to hit the Twist Of Fate.  Aries came out after the match for a war of words with Hardy, then took a cheapshot as Hardy was leaving the ring.  One brainbuster later, the champ stood tall to close the show.
