-Mat Fitchett d. Gerald James(w/ Dorian Victor) in a best-of-three-falls match to win the Heavyweight title, ending James' 28-month(862-day) title reign. James scored a quick first fall with the Michinoku Driver (3:24). Fitchett rallied to even things up after two torture-rack reverse-Go-2-Sleeps (6:13). Things got crazy as Fitchett lawndarted James into the wall, then got a near-fall after a cradle piledriver. Fitchett countered an attempted piledriver onto the ring apron by backdropping Gerald on the edge of the ring, but Gerald came back with a flying DDT off the second rope that spiked Fitchett's head into the edge of the ring. A bloody Fitchett was able to fight back, delivering a cradle piledriver on the floor and then one more in the ring to finally capture the title (11:28)!
-After the match, Fitchett was assisted to the backstage area for medical attention...Dorian Victor and Christian Rose checked on the fallen ex-champion, but then Rose turned on James and Victor and laid them out. After recovering, James thanked the fans for their respect (whether they loved or hated him)...
