-The Vaudevillains(Aiden English & Simon Gotch) d. The Hype Bros(Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) when English pinned Ryder after the Whirling Dervish(Gotch European uppercut to the back of the head followed by English swinging neckbreaker) (4:16).
-Earlier today:  Tom did a sitdown interview with Carmella Van Damme about her shot at NXT Women's Champion Bayley Rose on next week's show.  She noted that her father was a wrestler so the business is in her blood...Bayley is one of her best friends, but it's all about the title.  She faces Emma Tayla tonight...it'll be a tough test, but she'll prove why she deserves to be the top contender.
-Backstage:  Alex Reyes interviewed NXT Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder about their rivalry with Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady as well as Carmella.  They feel like they've beaten everyone there is to beat...they welcome another match with Enzo and Cass, but the result will be the same as in London.
-Carmella Van Damme d. Emma Tayla(w/ Dana Brooke) via backslide (4:17).
-Earlier today:  Sami Zayn said the decision on the top-contender's spot is out of his hands, but he hopes General Manager S. William Regal makes the right decision.  On the other hand, Samoa Joe didn't feel like talking about the outcome of last week's match.
-Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady d. Ricky Starks & That Guy when Enzo pinned That Guy after the Rocket Launcher (2:27).
-Backstage:  Apollo Crews felt he was robbed of his shot at the NXT Title when he faced Finn Bálor for the championship.  He feels he can beat Bálor and he'll prove it tonight.
-Backstage in the General Manager's office:  Regal prepared for his announcement, but Baron Corbin interrupted him...Regal said that Corbin lost, so he's out of the running.  Corbin stormed out of the office and Regal continued with his decision, saying that Sami Zayn would face Samoa Joe one-on-one for the right to face Bálor for the NXT Title.
-Asuka Urai d. Santana Garrett with the Asuka Lock(crossface chicken wing) (2:25).
-Backstage:  Alex Reyes interviewed NXT Champion Finn Bálor about the controversy in the contenders' situation as well as his match tonight with Apollo Crews.
