WWE NXT

-Commentators:  Tom Phillips & Corey Graves.
-Hideo Itami d. Sean Maluta after the flying knee strike (3:50).
-Backstage:  Andrea DeMarco interviewed NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder); they feel there is no competition left for their titles, but TM-61(Nick Miller & Shane Thorne) begged to differ.  Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano added their two cents...Dawson & Wilder told the teams to talk amongst themselves instead.
-Mojo Rawley d. Chris Atkins after the Pounce (0:22).  NXT Champion Samoa Joe attacked Atkins and Rawley after the match and spoke his mind about General Manager S. William Regal putting him in a title defense against Shinsuke Nakamura...but Mojo came back to attack Joe, leading to a fight on the floor and Joe locking Rawley in the Kokita Clutch.
-Backstage:  Andrea interviewed Bayley Rose about her upcoming NXT Women's Title rematch with Asuka Urai...she said she had watched Asuka's matches and felt ready to win her championship back.  Asuka interrupted the interview and invited her to watch her upcoming matchup in person...
-NXT Women's Champion Asuka Urai d. Aliyah Areebi(non-title) with the Asuka Lock(crossface chicken wing) (2:30); Bayley Rose came out to the commentary booth, but Asuka invited her to get a ringside view.  They'll sign the contract for their Takeover title match on next week's show.
-Backstage last month:  Charly Caruso interviewed Oney Lorcan about his upset win over Tye Dillinger.  He vowed to go back to his roots in order to continue his success.
-Debuting 8/20/16:  Ember Moon(formerly Athena)!
-Bobby Roode made his first appearance as an official member of the NXT roster...he was proud to be a part of NXT, but vowed to take it to the next level because of how good he is.  It didn't take long for him to turn on the fans in attendance, saying he would bring a higher class of audience to the show.
-NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival(Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) d. TM-61(Nick Miller & Shane Thorne)(non-title) when Dawson pinned Miller after a DDT (7:51 aired).  Afterwards, Dawson & Wilder extolled their own virtues once again...which brought out Ciampa & Gargano for a retort.  They fought it out until Ciampa & Gargano cleared the ring.

WWE Cruiserweight Classic

-Backstage:  Andrea DeMarco interviewed Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano about their match against each other...Gargano said they were tag team partners, but they were competitors at the end of the day and he would look at Ciampa as nothing more than an opponent here.  Ciampa said he wouldn't be "just another guy"...he would be the guy who eliminated Gargano from the tournament.
-Johnny Gargano d. Tommaso Ciampa by countering the bridging Fujiwara armbar into a crucifix on the mat for the pinfall (10:48).  Ciampa hesitated in finishing off Gargano during the match and that may have cost him the victory; afterwards, Ciampa nearly left the ring without accepting Gargano's handshake, but returned to sit next to him on the mat and raise his arm.
-Next week in round two:  Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Gran Metalik and Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander.
